I have a mixed feeling about this place. If I have to sum up this hotel in one sentence, it is a motel in a great location and amazing view.

- great view and location
- Quiet. Perfect for those who want to stay away from the busy area, or family
- 5 star view from the window
Cons
- no room service each day.
- AC isn’t cold enough during the day when it’s hot out
- I had to come down to front desk every day for new bath towel and toilet paper.

Location was great and had access to sun beds on the beach. Could arrange for long boat day trips to pick you up from the beach right outside hotel which was convenient. Hotel provided beach towels.
Room balcony did not lock. Major leak in toilet ceiling meaning it could not be used.
Rooms felt cramped due to lay out. Rooms felt dirty. Shower was always cold and had fluctuating water pressure.
Overall the hotel needs a major renovation.

WORST HOTEL I’VE EVER STAYED IN

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It might look nice in the pictures but that’s as far as it goes. The room was filthy, dust, suspicious stains on the walls, ripped and stained bed sheets, cold shower that just trickled, leaking basin tap, broken toilet that barely flushes or refills, can not shut toilet door as it’s so small, everything is rusty all over and rotten balcony rails, ceiling covered in mould from barely working air conditioning, a rusted old fridge full of ice, overall this is the worst place I have ever stayed in and for $100 a night it is basically robbery.

Please think twice before staying here. Our room smelled like mould, the shower was cold, the sheets were disgusting, the tap was broken and overall the room gave us the creeps. We love hostels and all kinds of accommodations and this one was the worst. Incredibly expensive and the photos look way nicer than it is.

A terrible experience - feels like a hostel room

We’ve stayed in Krabi for 4 nights, this was the first property we checked into. The smell in the room was terrible (similar to a bathroom floral spray or the urinal balls).

The room was very small and old. The bathroom door closed right where your feet is so you can’t move. The entire place didn’t feel clean. They don’t monitor the front desk after 10pm so there’s no one to talk to, so we couldn’t obtain the WiFi password. I mean it truly felt like a motel rather than a hotel. The photos here don’t reflect reality.

The hotel is so run down and needs a total face lift ,the rooms smelt really bad and the toilet and shower smelt really damp ,the shower broke off the wall and the maintenance fix it but left a screw in the shower which my wife stood on as the ligthing is non existent,the hotel is so over priced its unreal ,would never stay again and would recommend anyone to try and find somewhere else to stay ,its a shame as if the hotel was looked after it could be really nice

Stay was fine but wasn’t good value for money

After reading the reviews before we were due to stay, I was very nervous about what the hotel would be like. I thought the hotel was fine, not as bad as some of the reviews made out (in my own experience), but in hindsight we wouldn’t have paid the amount we did for what we got.

When we arrived, we were met at the pier by a hotel member of staff who took our bags and we walked for about 10 minutes to the hotel. Check in process was easy. Room was big. Good at first glance. However, there was a lot of dust on some of the surfaces, the shower head only stayed on the holder when it was off (so you had to hold it when you showered), the toilet smelled like drains, and the worst part for us is that there was a small bit of sand inside the bedsheets, which is so hard to get rid of!

Not the cleanest place and the bathroom smells really bad. Pretty good location there is a market right by and the center of Ton Sai is like a 10-15 min walk. The buffet breakfast closes kind of early and is meh and the staff are just kind of there, not rude but definitely noticed the difference in hospitality compared to other places. Also the in room safe isnt attached to anything. I would try to find another place if you are staying in Phi Phi but its not terrible but not at all worth the price.

DONT STAY HERE!

Outdated. Old photos - not a true representation of the hotel and rooms. Dirty rooms, stains on bed sheets (and sand?!) marks over the wallpaper, dust on furniture (as if it hadn’t actually been cleaned?!) insects beside the coffee mugs, no toilet space - cannot even close the door?! Constant toilet drain leak. Found cockroaches in the bathroom AND a couple in the shower. Mosquito/insect bites during stay even after we used the spray. Just overall disgustingly unpleasant and the owner does not even bother to care about it. I really don’t know how it’s allowed to have 3 stars and get away with it because this should be shut down or completely redone. FYI, we came across a guy who complained at reception that his bedsheets had blood again on them and they refused to change it as they don’t know any more left… Seriously? Don’t do it! You’d be better off sleeping on the beach instead.

Like. Beachfront property, minimal steps to room, however no lifts, so if anyone is disabled this hotel wouldn’t work.

What I didn’t like. In my view I was very disappointed with this hotel. In fact it wasn’t a hotel it’s was a large shack. Disgusting, filthy, unsafe, outdoor patio door did not lock. This “hotel” is more like a hostel. Breakfast was shocking, we ate elsewhere, room smelt, standards not exceptable, staff not very friendly or experienced, no customer service. All in all DO NOT STAY HERE.

The property is in a good spot if you don,t want it too noisy .. Only 10 or 12 minutes walk from Tonsai pier .
Slightly disappointing that the hotel didn,t meet us at the pier as promised, but that may be a communication problem , and it was not a bad walk .
The only real bad point was that the pool was very highly chlorinated . I would say to a dangerous level .
We went in the sea instead which was lovely .
breakfast was fine , the aircon was reasonable and all in all not a bad place for the money .
Lovely Island and well worth a visit .
If you take a boat trip , please try and take a local long tail boat, they are much better and you are helping maintain a tradition .

The location of the property is perfect if you are looking for a quiet location that is away from the crowds. The pool was fantastic, and was a nice refreshing (but not too cold) temperature. Lots of chairs and umbrellas around the pool to relax. The staff were super helpful and willing to assist with any request you may have. Our room however was extremely disappointing. There was a strong musty odor and the room conditions were poor (mold around air conditioning unit, shower leaked into the room, torn wallpaper, balcony door difficult to open). Fortunately we had beautiful weather during our stay so we were able to spend most of our time outdoors.

Amazing beachfront location

The best thing about the hotel was definitely the location. If you want to be in a quieter part of Phi Phi away from the nightly crazy loud parties by the hostels and hoards of day trippers walking past you trying to sunbathe, then this is the place for you! The beach is right in front and you get a discount on kayaks being a guest of the hotel. Highly recommend getting a private longtail boat for a sunset tour - you can take your own beers and snorkel/swim in the bays with your own driver leading the way. Definitely worthwhile and was a favourite part of our trip! Only downsides were breakfast could’ve been better and the rooms were quite dark (but clean/comfortable).

As soon as I got off the ferry they were there to greet me and carry my luggage with big smiles I absolutely loved my stay here the hotel staff were so kind and helpful! The room was very nice and clean. The location was perfect far enough away from the night life but close enough to walk to. The breakfast was great also I have no complaints about my stay in fact I look forward to visiting again if going to koh phi phi this is definitely the hotel to stay at!!

Stuff is unfriendly and was trying to charge 10% more on my final bill for food and drinks at check out for paying it with cc. Room I got was supposed to be Suit with Ocean View but no view at at all. Room, bath, toilet and balcony are tiny. Room smells bad! Stinking! AC is noisy and it blows right to your head. Hotel restaurant is way overpriced! Won't recommend to anyone.

Very disappointed, they don't give you what they offer you in the first place when you book, the rooms are tiny and mine had a bad smell all the time , they promise sea view when actually it's a pool view with some poor window shades in which you can't open them as everybody in the pool would be able to.see you inside your room, no privacy at all. Extremely expensive for what they offer, we could've booked another hotel for a better price and way nicer than this one. Poor service even before arriving here, I sent them 4 emails trying to get in contact with them but no one ever replied, I called them and the phones weren't updated, poor English of the staff and poor overnight services. I booked 4 nights but I'm only staying 3, I'm leaving as I can't stand the noisy neighbours partying all night and the smell in my room, I tried to communicate that with the staff but they showed themselves uncooperative. I won't ever recommend this hotel to anyone, there are heaps of better hotels with better prices, and I'll email hotels.com until I get a refund for my last day I didn't stay here, it's incredible if I had to pay one day I didn't stay in this very poor hotel.

Stunning location on a quiet little beach next to enormous cliff. within short walking distance from the busy center of the island. The hotel and amenities are in a great shape overall, breakfast is adequate by local standards. The biggest issue was the toilet which is an extremely small glass cabin, makes it difficult to maneuver inside for a person of above average height.

I expected a bit more for the price, unlikely that I would stay here again unless just one night.
Pros:
Good enough wifi, semi private beach about 75 ft wide, pool, good views of the bay even if it is completely cluttered with long boats and speed boats. Location is about a 10 minute walk from the pier and just far enough away from the busy area to relax a bit, and close enough to go out when you feel like it. The hotel shuttles your luggage to and from the pier

Cons: awful breakfast, not the friendliest of guy at the front desk as other reviewers have pointed out. This is really what kills it for me, its as if you are bothering him each time you have to interact with him. The other staff throughout hotel were great, but the front desk staff don't seem happy to help. Had to ask for the included bottles of water and breakfast ticket each morning and get questioned about it as if I were lying.

The room: big w 2 single beds, good safe, insufficient lighting made it feel like a cave (good luck trying to shave), shower heater never got water to hot, just warm, not much counter space in bathroom due to raised sink. Basic and simple things like No trash can in room only one next to toilet, do not disturb sign falls off every time you open door, no hand towels, just bath towels all make this a mediocre stay for more than one night. I would have left after the first night had I not booked more than one night and had an all day boat trip on one of my days.

This hotel was nice enough, close enough to go out for dinner and drinks but far away enough so the noise did not keep you up. The room was pleasant. However the toilet in the cubical was very snug and you could barely close the door when on the loo!! Beach towels provided and nice sun loungers to use on the beach all free of charge. The reception staff very good and helpful, carried out bags to the ferry. The restaurant not so good service poor.

Overall okay, but do not book this hotel expecting to have your dream vacation. Upon arrival, the concierge tried to charge us for our hotel room again, even though we had the Expedia confirmation with us, so just watch out for that.The rooms, while small, had A/C and were a serviceable size for two people. Three would be pushing it. The cleaning and restaurant staff were friendly, but did not speak great English and were not very attentive, so be prepared to have some miscommunication and be assertive to get service. Overall though, things went smooth.The food was very good. My pregnant wife and I ate there almost every meal of our trip and neither of us got sick. The mussels with Thai spices were the hit of the trip. The pool was also kinda of small, but fine. The beach was very nice and just off of the hotel; not even a 1 minute walk from our room. As far as getting to the hotel, you need to take a ferry from Phuket to Phi Phi, so be aware of how your flights line up for that as the ferry only goes to the island 2-3 times a day, depending on the ferry. Once you get to the Island, the hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the pier. There is a service charge of 20 BAUT per person to enter the island (garbage cleaning fee). There are some shops on the way to the hotel, as well as boat rental and a small convenience type store right across from the hotel. We did the half day boat trip for 1500 BAUT and it was great. Again, hidden charge to see Maya beach of 40BAUT per person.

Garden Rooms should not look out onto slums or building sites, and hotel staff and booking agents shouldn't justify it by saying it is the same size as a garden view delux room. Then pretend to not understand if you are still not accepting their excuse.

A taste of relaxation

I checked in one night while waiting for friends to arrive, they have a person to pick you up at the pier and take you to the hotel (just keep looking for Phi Phi Beach Hotel HIP). The room was spacious enough for me and the bed was comfortable. It's on the beach and I would stay here again when I return.

Fantastic stay

I was somewhat apprehensive about staying here having read the reviews, and so I was pleasantly surprised from the moment the trip started. I arrived on the first ferry from Krabi and was very grateful for the early check in having travelled for most of the night.
The room came with all amenities you'd need, my only gripe is that it was quite dark in the bathroom area where the mirrors are, so not ideal for putting on make up.
I had a great view of the cliff and the sea and it was very peaceful, not much noise from neighbouring hotels.
The breakfast was fine, fairly standard in choices and what I've come to expect from similar standard of hotels across Thailand.
The staff were excellent, always very helpful and if at times they did struggle with English, they would get someone else to help with your query.
The massive selling point for this hotel is that it's right on the beach and remains quiet and peaceful for the majority of the day. I was regularly the first (and only person) there for the first few hours of the day!
The phi phi restaurants and nightlife is a short stroll away so it offers the best of both worlds.
I would definitely return to Nice Beach and have already recommended it to my friends!

The room was very small with no wardrobe. The drains smelt and the toilet compartment was way too small. The shower had only look warm water and the basin had only one cold tap. The pool was cloudy. The reception was staffed only from 8am to 8pm. The breakfast however was very nice with a good selection of food. There is no alcohol served on the premises as this is a muslim hotel so if you like your pint of beer whilst lying by the pool you are out of luck!

Keeping in mind that you are staying on an island and your are sleeping in a bungalow some reviews i thought people were just nit picky but after staying here the reviews were dead on. DO NOT pay for the upgraded premium bungalow or whatever they call it. There are only two different kinds and they will not move you to the obviously better bungalow even if you paid for it and they will not refund you your money either. The staff either didnt or acted like they knew little to no English. They do not replace the towls or clean the room after each night and we were there for 3 nights... We only had one roll of t.p. and had to ask for that as well. I will say the surroundings are beautiful and the beach is awesome with few people. It is a 15min walk from the pier and about 25min walk to Slinky's.

Hotellet ligger fantastisk og manden, der henter ens bagage er et sødt menneske. Så stopper alt også. Mørkt værelse, næsten ikke noget lys at tænde. Wc, bad og håndvask delt op i tre rum. Vandhanen virkede ikke optimal. Man måtte slukke for aircondition om natten, da den larmede sindssygt. Vores altan lå indendørs, så ingen udluftning. Vi måtte rulle ned, ellers kunne alle, der gik op ad trapperne, se ind. I de tre dage, vi var der, blev der ikke gjort rent, skiftet håndklæder eller redt seng. Vi havde ikke wc papir til sidste dag og der var ingen man kunne kontakte. Til gengæld kunne man ikke klage over service, for den var der ikke.
Vi kommer ikke til at bo der igen.

The hotel was amazing and had own pool and own beach but the pier was litttle bit far away. The room was so nice and everything about was good.

L hôtel est très bien situé au calme et la piscine est agréable .
Mauvais point pour les chambres qui ne sont pas propres et pas nettoyés quand on le demande , elles ne sont pas pratique non plus .tout est vieillot

Vi tjekkede ud igen efter 1,5 time fordi det hele virkede med kryb og generelt meget dårlig i stand med dårlig luft mv.
