The washing machine at level one very dirty. I washed my clothes end up became more dirty due to the dusk inside the washing machine. But the hotel breakfast very nice. I like the morning female staff of the restaurant who prepared for us the breakfast for four days while we stay there. She is really 👍 nice

This Inn is very close to Funabori station which makes it convenient. There’s a small Aeon, arcade, combini, and dinning options nearby too.

The Inn is a little dirty showing its age but still relatively comfortable. The AC didn’t work very well in my room. The staff is very nice and helpful. There’s also a Korean restaurant that serves breakfast next to the inn!
I will consider staying here agian in future trips.

Negative: Room was super tiny and very outdated with a strange step up into the tiny bathroom that was difficult to navigate in the middle of the night for someone with back issues. We arrived at night & the neighborhood felt unsafe. Staff was cordial but not friendly.

Just a block away from Funabori station. Very easy to manage. There's a free tower, 3rd highest tower and can view Skinjuku tower.
There a Lawson (7-11 like just better), next to the metro and has a self serve station. Easy in/out for your food and beer.
The Inn provides free coffee, 1 free beer after 4pm, free wifi and theres a laundry access on the first floor.
Check-in was very easy and the front desk know how to assist english speakers.

I stayed here for about two weeks and the hotel itself is very nice, nothing fancy but perfect for a shorter stay or someone who is really only in their hotel to sleep.

The room was very cosy and very quiet day and night. Also it's positioning being a 2 min walk from the train makes getting around Tokyo very easy. You are never more than 30 to 40 mins train from popular spots.

The staff were friendly and helpful whenever I needed something or help and the things provided each day for free such as beer or a soft drink are very nice after a long day in the city.

Me and my wife liked the area the hotel was based as it felt very safe with a good selection of stores to browse and food to eat.

The Kuratake in is steps away from the Funabori train station, about an hour away from Haneda Terminal 3, and about 45 minutes away from Tokyo station (going by train). You're going to be close enough to Tokyo to get there quickly and easily, but this hotel is also quite close to other points of interest, like Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea. It's not so close that you'll be in the middle of a noisy area when you're trying to sleep though. I've slept in smoking and non-smoking rooms and both are very clean and comfortable, to the point that you wouldn't know the smoking rooms have been smoked in. The only downside is how the Kuratake Inn does daily cleanings so once you leave in the morning, you may not be able to get back into your room until after 4pm. The attached restaurant offers several breakfast options, all delicious, and I would recommend giving them a chance. I've stayed at the Kuratake Inn in Funabori twice, and I can see myself staying there again.

If you are not into small cozy hotels do not go here but if so this is an amazing option. The staff are very friendly and the location right next to the subway station and a groceries store for easy access. There are good eats in the area and is connected to a lovely Korean restraunt. I would definently stay here again in the future.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is conveniently located right next to a grocery store, many restaurants and the train station that will get you straight to metro Tokyo with little fuss. The staff were very nice, room was always clean and the amenities were first class in my opinion. The next time I am in Tokyo, the Kuretake Inn will be my first choice because all of the above reasons.

Not great. Definitely twice as far from Disneyland as Hotel.com advertises. It is also in a really run down area of Tokyo with nothing around for shopping or even good places to eat. The bathroom was the smallest I experienced in all my time in Tokyo and it also always smelled like feces. The lady in the breakfast restaurant was rude and wouldn’t take card payment even when she had the terminal.

I spent 10 nights here on my first trip to Tokyo and LOVED it!! Super friendly staff w somebody at the front desk 24 hours a day. 2 minute walk to the Shinjuku line which takes you directly to Akihabara and Shinjuku in 30 minutes w no transfers. Grocery store, convenience stores and an arcade on the same block. River walk and parks less than 5 minutes in any direction. I highly recommend if first time or returning and looking to check out a diff part of the city. I wish I could give it 10 stars!!

The Kuretake Inn in Edogawa, Funabori, was very clean with friendly, multilingual staff. Despite staying in a room intended for smokers, it never had the lingering odor of smoke which was a very pleasant surprise. The bed was very comfortable. The amenities on offer were also helpful and welcome, but for other things I needed that weren't provided, the Kuretake Inn is within walking distance of a grocery store, multiple restaurants, and the Funabori station.

I would stay here again, in future.

Probably the most convenient location in the Edodawa area...

Located about a two minute walk from the Funabori Subway station, making it very easy to travel. The rooms are tiny, perhaps even more on the smaller side in Japan, but I didn't come here spend time in a hotel room, just to sleep.

Just outside the inn there is a big grocery store, making it very convenient to pick up food, snacks or beverages. There is also a restaurant downstairs that serves food. I didn't go inside, so I couldn't tell you what that is like. The staff are very friendly, helpful and polite. The room service is amazing, while they do take a while to clean the rooms, the service is immaculate.

Quite small rooms, but service is very excellent. You even get free drinks from 4pm to 8pm. Great location too as it is near a movie theater, 7/11, a Sega Arcade, and even the Tokyo metro. Best hotel spot to be at if you are staying in Tokyo and good for entertainment. It’s only the size of the rooms I have issue with, but other than that, the hotel is excellent.

We had a share microwave on our floor, fridge in our room and the included breakfast at the downstairs cafe and bar was great. It's a about 25-40 minutes to downtown on the train but easy to navigate

Great value, 3 min to station, clean and quiet

Perfect stay in every respect. About 3 min to Funabori station on Shinjuku line (not JR, it’s Tokyo metro train system, but it connects to JR) 2 min to a supermarket, 1/2 min to izakaya and there’s a restaurant on the 1st floor where breakfast is served to hotel guests (if booked with breakfast option). Room tiny but comfortable, bed is large. Bathroom is a combo toilet-sink-deep tub. Nice clean linens, towels and yukata; great variety of free toiletries for every need; slippers, hair dryer and electric kettle to boil water. There’s TV and a small refrigerator in the room; a microwave and drinks vending machine in the hallway. All staff very attentive, helpful and friendly. I cannot think of a single complaint... will definitely stay again if there’s a vacancy.

It is a very nice hotel for its price. Small room yet comfortable. Nice breakfast, you even have a choice if you want Korean, American or Japanese breakfast. Hotel staff and front desk are friendly and accommodating. It is also strategically located and walking distance from a train station. What I did not like is that the check in time is very late of 4pm, but you can leave your luggage in the front desk before check in.

Breakfast is the same thing everyday for 3 courses to choose from.

There's free drinks from 4PM to 8PM
Ranging from Chocolate Milk to Wheat Beer.

Bed is big but walkway space is crammed, no space for multiple luggages to be laid on the floor.

Friendly staff and accessible oven and vending machine.
Location is good, 2 Mins walk to Funabori Station which has express trains in the morning and send you to Shinjuku in 30mins.

Nearby have 4 Supermarkets (Daiei, Aeon, etc..)
Good to go in at 8PM for bento sets reducing to clear. (Half price)
Daiei is just 1 Min walk away, with KFC and MCD inside.

Nightlife there is just bars and occassional eatery.
Have a Sega Arcade building 1 Min away.
6 Convenience Stores a stone throw away.

Did not regret the hotel. Good and affordable and near Metro.

The size of the bedroom and bathroom give new meaning to the word \"TINY\"..... size of toilet bowl itself is HALF the size of a standard bowl.
Despite the property listed on Cheap Tickets as having air-conditioning, this hotel does NOT have AC. That was a big bone of contention for me because the property only had HEAT. When I took the issue up with the property manager, she said she understands that AC means heating in winter and cooling in summer ONLY with no provision for individual temperature control. The room being so small, it felt like I was being roasted in an oven.
I would NOT stay at this property again and I would NOT recommend anyone staying here. If you have more than 1 medium-sized piece of luggage, just forget this place. In the closet, there is space for just one medium-sized bag and in the room, there is absolutely NO room for any kind and size of luggage, that is how small the room is.

Room and toilet are very small and it is difficult to walk even with two adults let alone having another small kid. Room wall is not sound proof and when people talk outside, it can be heard quite clearly.
Near to Daiei shopping mall and subway station are plus points.
Counter staff are helpful and friendly though.

My husband and son stayed here for 7 nights. Location was great just 3min walk from funabori station. Located in a very quiet and local place where you can buy your foods at a grocery store nearby. Very convenient and near to some of the tourists spots like tsukiji and ameyoko. Only 45mins away from shinjuku. Plus i get to see mt fuji from our window ☺️ The staff are very warm and friendly. I love this hotel ☺️❤️

Hotel with friendly staff, free drink each day (between certain hours), room was very warm and the air circulation deemed to only make things warmer. Bathroom is small but usable, beds were ok, bit dated. Overall good for a staging post but longer term (on assumption the heating issue is standard) it may be tiring, also as the room is very small, two people using it can feel cramped with big rucksacks. We were somewhat relieved to leave despite overall the room being acceptable.

Me and my husband stayed here on our honeymoon and couldn't fault it one bit! The staff were so friendly and helpful. There was great bars, restaurants and arcades near by, and right next to the metro station on the Shinjuku line so was very easy to get into central Tokyo and see the sights. The room and bathroom were pretty small but didn't bother us because it was a great price!

It’s close to subway, convenience stores, ATMs, nice restaurants, etc. Rooms a bit small for a large fellow like me, but who spends much time outside of sleeping in their hotel in Tokyo. Our small family found it fine for 4 days while we discovered Tokyo and surrounds. I imagine it would be perfect for solo travellers, business travellers and couples. I recommend for a cheaper option outside Tokyo with only a 20-25 mind on subway to inner city.

Standard business hotel near a subway line

Hotel was a standard Japanese business hotel. Room was fairly small, bathroom was tiny as well. But it had a small fridge, TV, slippers, hair dryer, and all the normal items. Bed and pillows were decently comfortable and the room was clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is far away from main part of Tokyo, but it's only a three minute walk from a Shinjuku subway line stop which can get you into the city or to the Keisei line to goto Narita airport.

Small, but good hotel

The rooms for this hotel are small but clean. It's close to a train station and only takes about 40 minutes to get to some of the more popular spots in Tokyo. Overall I was satisfied with this hotel during my stay.
