Really lovely and unique hotel. Clean room. However, we were in an outside room that was between the restaurant and outside bar area. It was very loud to the point we couldn't sit and watch TV. At one point a large group were just stood outside the door shouting and yelling. Gorgeous breakfast on the first morning but the second seemed to be understaffed and we had to keep asking for things. And the eggs were barely cooked!

Felt the facilities did not match the description or the cost to stay there, rooms were small, shower leaked, not very clean, seemed an issue to book a time for breakfast (limited choice, I.e no cereal, told all booked at 8pm so went down earlier and restaurant was empty until 8.30? Bar poorly stocked, small area to sit, seemed to struggle to find extra tea making condiments, just seemed expensive and under whelmed sadly, would not stay there again, plus £20 per night to park there seemed excessive

Hotel is stunning and decor inside is stunning. We had an issue with our room plus service is extremely hit and miss. Food is exceptional at both dinner and breakfast. We wouldn't stay here again but would definitely come here for food. Car park charge of £20 per night for paying guests is a major turn off.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very comfortable.
All bedding and fixtures and fittings are top-quality, with black-out blinds in our bedroom and a fabulous rain-shower shower head. Nice toiletries as well, and a Dyson hairdryer in the room as well as quality ironing board and iron.
Extra little touches such as complimentary chilled water bottles in room as well as a complimentary communal 'help yourself' fridge for further cold drinks and snacks (sweets, crisps and fruit). Offer of chilled bottled water for drive home after checking out.
Breakfast was superb: the quality of the produce appeared to be local and homemade (from the bread for toast up to the eggs, sausages and bacon). Freshly-squeezed orange juice was lovely, as were the coffee selections which tasted like a barista's.
All staff are friendly, attentive and well-spoken.
There's a lovely outside terrace outside the bar/restaurant area.

Excellent hotel with thoughtful, unexpected touches. All aspects were superb - decor was lovely and imaginative, rooms were great (very comfy bed and pillows!), a good range of breakfast options and the food was really good. Garden terrace and bar were both good with great decor. Our dog was welcomed with open arms and received lots of attention from the staff.
The staff were all friendly, efficient and helpful - Ellen deserves a special mention.

Stayed overnight prior to my daughter's graduation. Staff were super helpful even allowing me to keep my car parked for a few hours after checkout so didn't have to worry whilst attending the graduation ceremony. Thank you Bird Hotel for such a lovely stay over.

The hotel is fine but having stayed in a lot of hotels in the UK, I think a lot can be improved given the lack of toiletries (conditioner was not dispensing and 3 pieces of tissue in the box). The hotel is overall outdated and breakfast is only alright. Service is decent and good location.

People like Christina on reception and Alex on the bar make the stay in a hotel go from a break away to somewhere you want to come back to because it feels soo welcoming, comfortable and friendly- a home from home.
On top of that it feels like the hotel really cares for its guests with beautifully and thoughtfully decorated rooms with little touches like luxury toiletries and super comfy beds and tea and coffee and lovely snacks.

Lovely, modern Hotel. 1-night business trip
Arrived after a long drive, I was greeted by warm and welcome reception staff. Full explanation of where everything was and if I needed anything else like fresh milk, complimentary items etc. I was asked if i was going to tour Bath but I was only there for one night so unable to, but appreciative of the advice if it was a leisure stay. I stayed in room 12 on the 2nd floor. An fyi, there wasn’t a lift but good to get the steps in! Reception staff kindly helped me with my bags. Room was cosy and full of mod-cons! Lovely bathroom (no bath). Shower fab! Only minor criticism was there was a bit of road noise as single paned glass but I slept well. Comfy bed :) nice selection of refreshments and tv easy to use. Will definitely stay again for any potential, future business trips in the Bath area.

Hosts were exceedingly welcoming and friendly, particularly Caroline. Our room was clean, comfortable and pretty as was the restaurant. The food was very good. The restaurant staff were oddly nervous but gave good service and were very nice. We had a lovely view over the rugby club and the city skyline. Bath city centre is a simple 15 minute stroll away.

Wow what a stay! The boutique is gorgeous The room and bed were sensational! Amy the manager went out of her way to make our time special even getting us a dinner reservation at a favorite restaurant. A great breakfast with wide variety.

Me and my sister visited Bath for our birthday weekend and chose to stay at The Bird Bath. It was the charismatic decor and recommendation of their fabulous breakfast that swayed us. From the moment we arrived to when we left, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Also very helpful in providing us a map of bath, taking our luggage to our rooms and also looking after our luggage. Such a great atmosphere within the hotel. Love the touch of the complimentary larder! I really enjoyed the breakfast at the Plate restaurant in the hotel, absolutely delicious! Catered to our dietary requirements. And the cocktails in the evening were amazing, all in theme with the bird hotel. The service was amazing and lovely staff. Overall a very charming hotel and I’m very impressed so will definitely be returning! :)

Good points: Comfortable and warm rooms, pleasing decor, wonderful hosts and great breakfast - good quality sausages and bacon, with lovely presentation. Bedding lovely quality and super clean. Dyson hairdryer in the room, coffee maker (had to google instructions) and generally nice attention to detail. Owner (?!) made a lovely gesture of giving us bottled water and cookies for the trip home. Close to town centre.

A fun, individually sumptuous hotel, seemed only just past skin deep: parking was an extra £20 per day, some very dated décor disguised with large amounts of Christmas decorations. We only stayed a night - Friday night - and the bar was closed by 22:45.

Good points, Hotel is lovely, staff are super friendly & helpful. Location is great. Bad points, it was an anniversary trip so we took our own champagne which was a gift & we were charged £40 corkage as it was not brought there. We also left it in there fridge for a few hours and it “evaporated” I will say I’m glad we decided not to have dinner there as the breakfast was terrible and very expensive. They also charge double for the parking @£20 per night if you don’t book direct with them.

We only stayed one night on way ro Cornwall. Lovely hotel. Very nicely fitted out and the bed was veey comfortable. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Very convenient to walk into town. Only about 10 mins. Would highly recommend. Lovely breakfast in rhe morning.

Lovely ‘Superior’ room,(Rm 7) had plenty of space, and stylish decor, with a view over the recreation ground, and the Abbey. Modern stylish bathroom & great shower. Comfortable bed & pillows. Amazing breakfast (large portions, maybe too much Salmon on toast!), very nicely cooked full breakfast. Very friendly & helpful staff, & great atmosphere, consistently good. Tiled stairs down to bar/restaurant have step lights that light up dust/dirt from people coming in from outside - more regular cleaning of those steps needed to be consistent with the rest of the cleanliness which was very good. I’d definitely stay there again. Thanks to the hotel staff for a great stay.

Being a 4* hotel, we were expecting a moderately high level of comfort but that was not achievable in such a small space.
We also had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and the food and service were very good.
Perhaps if we had had a different room, our opinion might have been significantly better.
We wouldn't risk repeating the experience.
