Kitchen too small for this many people. PLUS some burners weren't working on the stovetops requiring people to wait their turn before being able to cook.

The showers have no shelves and hooks to hang or put clothes.

Staff VERY helpful and friendly.

Lots of local events posted and hostel even has their own events.

I stayed in an 8 person female dorm. Each bed has a curtain for privacy, but the curtain made the pod very stuffy and hot and a bit too hot to sleep. Also there is a tiny little light above each bed that is basically useless. Couldn't see anything, I had to use my cell phone for light. My room had a certain pungent smell to it, not body odor but more like a stuffy stagnant air, which didn't make sense because the windows would be open during the day. Otherwise, the bed was clean and sturdily build, so if there's someone sleeping above you, they can come and go without shaking your bed or disrupting your sleep.

Very clean and enjoyable. Privacy curtains on beds were a big plus, and the aircon was great. The events they had each night, such as a communal “family” dinner, pub crawl, or paella class, were a fun way to meet others and experience Sevilla. Would stay again!

There are many positive about staying here, here are some of the pro and cons: (we stayed there at a private room in February)
Staff is helpful, there are daily activities and will hold luggage for you
like the roof top terrace, its the only place to hangout since there is no lobby
Negatives:
It can get noisy into the night from people hanging outside kitchen courtyard, the volume echoes off the wall into our room, make it difficult to sleep
The pillow is lumpy and room is too hot, the AC doesn't work
We paid for the room and got double charged when check in through email link, luckily this was caught and reversed the charge.

Older, but well-maintained large hostel with friendly and helpful staff.

Large, well equiped kitchen with a medium large adjoining social room for eating and lounging and meeting interesting people from all around the world.

They sponsor a social event almost every night from going to see an inexpensive flamingo performance to inexpensive community dinners from the kitchen.

My dorm bed was super comfortable with extra space to store stuff and a large, lockable locker.

Great Stay

Nearly perfect stay except for two things. The beds have cabin style wood bed cubicles, but no curtains. And 2nd floor bathroom gets hot and stuffy. Otherwise lots of great outdoor space. Great location and super friendly and helpful staff.

A very nice stay at this hostel.
So far, I’ve stayed in 3 hostels across Spain. This has definitely been the best.
It’s a great hostel to stay at if you like meeting people… if you spend time in common rooms, or maybe are lucky enough to meet like-minded people in your room, I found it quite easy to make friends. Additionally, the hostel hosts daily events such as a paella cooking class and free flamenco show to attend, highly recommend attending both of those!
Also, the staff are quite friendly and helpful.
Bathrooms are meh, but you shouldn’t expect too much from hostel bathrooms to begin with
Would probably revisit if I’m ever in Sevilla again.

The hostel is conveniently located near the main bus station (about 10 mins walk) which is great. There are quite a few community events they organise as well (pub crawl, free dinner). Big common area just outside the reception which is a great idea to encourage people to socialise.
What I didn't like was the room. It was too small compared to what I thought it would be. It was quite hot even at night and I'm not sure if the A/C was working properly. The toilets were not very clean.

Pro: location which is right in the centre behind the shopping streets. Beds are cosy, bathroom clean and open space/kitchen spacious

Cons: no aircon or it didnt work at the time.was hot and lots of mosquitoes. The kitchen area was at times very dirty with sink blocked with food

Tip: take uber from/to hotel as its cheaper than local taxi.

Excellent hostel!

Super big beds and lockers, was in an eight bed dorm but it didn’t feel crowded at all. The showers are amazing, super hot and great pressure, rain shower thing. The kitchen space is really big and they have an oven which is not common. Helped make the free dinner one night which is a cool feature of staying there. Great location and nice staff!

Top of the Seville hostel list

The Black Swan offers everything you wish for as a visitor to Seville. The staff are excellent, attentive in all their duties and additionally make the extra effort to make your stay here a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The location is excellent, the building is light, airy and has high ceilings.
There is a large communal area, well equipped kitchen, roof terrace and patio garden to allow plenty of space to relax.
The bedrooms are large, the pod style bunks are spacious and each is fitted with power point, plus a reading light. Each bunk has plenty of space to move and they are fixed strongly to walls so there is no rattling or squeaking.
Wifi is strong throughout the building and a free breakfast is available every morning.
I've been to Seville many times and stayed in many of the hostels, there's no doubt that the Black Swan is top of the Seville hostel list.

Black Swan rules. This is a beautifully-kept hostel with great amenities and THE best staff. After meeting Jair and Alfie, my husband and I actually wish we had spent MORE time mingling with hostel guests and staff. These guys are kind, knowledgeable and passionate about sharing all that Seville and Spain have to offer. Even though we didn't partake in the group activities we were touched by how many inclusive and legit-sounding activities the hostel offers. 100% recommend this place and PLEASE say hi to Alfie and Jair :)

This was my second great experience at a Black Swan hostel, having stayed at the Black Swan Barcelona! This hostel really is a great Seville pick. Super convenient location (to bus station and key sights), terrific value, friendly staff, nice rooftop and a social environment! I definitely recommend!

Extended our stay in Seville but it ment changing hotels on a busy weekend. Found the black swan and couldn't be more pleased. A mix of hostel and hotel. The service , people and overall vibe were electric. Comfortable beds, nice baths, and quiet despite the busy town.

Great hostel. Large, and always with an event in the evening on the sociable terrace. Used the space downstairs for remote working, which was fine - decent WiFi and not too noisy during the day.
Thank you to all the staff (esp Olga, Alfie and the rest) who were all so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Very confortable and quiet dorms. Nice kitchen where it’s easy to meet people. A bit disappointed by the shower area, no advice given when you arrive and the reception always busy, felt like checking in a hotel, and the not animated rooftop. Good if you want some quiet place to stay and do your own life, not the full hostel experience.

Overall, the vibes are good for this hostel. We had a private bathroom, a terrace and a kettle which we appreciate. However, there was not a chair in the room and two very tiny bedside tables. Our clothes hung over two narrow shelves where the kettle was. Yes, there were two outdoor chairs and a small table outside but I don't think they were cleaned regularly, if ever. The air con was good. So except for the lack of space to put things down, there aren't too many negative things about the room. The card to request cleaning of the room read rather strange in English. This should be re-written for clarity.

first timer in hostel

This was my first stay in a hostel. The people were friendly and the space was solid. Free breakfast was cereal and orange juice but it was just enough to get the day started. I left after a few days with a number of bug bites. Windows don't have screens so there were small gnats in the rooms.

For what I expect from a hostel and what I actually got, this definitely exceeded expectations.

An amazing hostel overall. Olga was extremely helpful and friendly upon arrival. The atmosphere there is upbeat and makes it very easy to make new friends. Also very clean and great bunks that are sturdy and don’t make a lot of noise or move.

Stayed five nights in April, without knowing it was festival time, which was a lovely surprise. Have not used bunk beds for many years, but it was no problem as there is enough room to put your stuff away and a power point above the bed, great for recharging overnight. Bathroom was well maintained, and downstairs the kitchen/lounge area is big enough to accommodate everybody. Free coffee and cereals at breakfast. there are paella nights, free evening food occasionally, organised city walks, and one night with drinks and food at the roof top bar which was a nice place to meet up with fellow travellers, whilst Daniel was a good host up there. Good Wi fi. Staff always there to offer advise and the hostel on Plaza Nueva is just around the corner from the main road leading up to cathedral and palace. Sorry, but the cathedral was the better, and not to be missed. Seville was my favourite stop on my Spanish travels. Real value for money.

Perfect hostel near cathedral and bus station.

We stayed in a twin room with private bathroom. Our room on the 5th floor has a door to a private outside patio which is nice to sit out during nice weather. The room has all the basic necessities such as towels, shower gels and hand soap. We did check out the common bathroom for other people staying in the hostel and it was a lot nicer than other hostels we have stayed at. They have separate shower stalls and the general cleanliness of it was beyond our expectation of a hostel.
The common kitchen area is on the ground floor, opposite the check-in desk. It has a spacious kitchen with plenty of room for dining tables and chairs and it has plenty of utensils and amenities for residents who want to prepare their own food. This is where most of the hostel residents hang out during the day. The hostel also does a good job organizing activities throughout the week to engage the residents. For example, during our stay, they have a paella cooking class, a free dinner night and bar-hopping evening activity. They also organize a free walking tour of Seville in the morning that starts in the hotel lobby.
In the evening, they have a rooftop party. Since the rooftop was just a level above our room, it can get noisy as they make their way down after they're done with the party.
Check-in process was smooth by a very friendly front desk gal named Andrea. This hostel is centrally located within 10-15 minutes walk from the cathedral or the bus station. I would highly recommend this place

More Like a First-Class Hotel Room Than a Hostel

We had the room with two twin beds, private bath, and large balcony. The room was totally-renovated, with a very beautiful bath with top-of-the-line tiling and fixtures. Very walkable to everything. The young people in the dorms also seemed to be enjoying themselves. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Tutto praticamente perfetto. Camera un po' piccola ma più che sufficiente per i giorni in cui siamo state e, soprattutto, per la quantità di tempo passata in camera: praticamente solo per doccia e nanna. Pulito, personale cordiale, ambiente giovanile, a pochi passi da Plaza Nueva e dalla Cattedrale. Le camere private anche adatte a persone non più giovani, purché senza grandi pretese: di base è un ostello ma perfettamente usufruibile da tutti. Consigliato!

Excelente ubicación. El trato del staff deja mucho que desear. Muchos son voluntarios y parece que no tienen ganas de trabajar. Los refrigeradores de la cocina son pequeños y son un caos. El aire en la habitación no funciona bien. Los baños están bien aunque muchas veces no hay papel. Las áreas comunes son pequeñas para el número de huéspedes. De regresar a Sevilla probaría en otro lugar.

Auberge très bien situé, central, tout en étant dans une petite rue. Tout peut se faire à pieds. Le rooftop est assez peu fréquenté et très agréable.
De nombreuses activités gratuites : sorties, dîners,... Staff sympathique et réactif.
Manque cependant de rideaux aux lits notamment pour les gros dortoirs. Et d'une pièce fermée pour ceux qui travaillent en ligne. A améliorer la fermeture des lockers qui font énormément de bruit.

女性専用ドミトリーの8人部屋に3泊しました。
ベット自体は清潔だしよかった。2段ベットの上だったが、かなり高さがあって少し怖かった。
部屋の中にバスルームがないので、フロアの共有バスルームを使用する感じ。なので部屋の中は静かだった。バスルームはトイレが3つ、シャワーが4つあり、特に待つこともなく快適に使用できた。
個人ロッカーはベッド下にあり、自分で南京錠が必要なタイプ。スペースは狭く、中は清潔とは言えず、木製の古そうな感じだったので毎回音が気になった。
ホステル主催のイベントが毎日何かしらあり、楽しめた。
