Shame, could do a lot better!

Dated in side, needs new look bed covers and room decor.
I had kettle, no cups, spoons! Sure, next day and days after, the room attendees could of noticed and supplied... no i had to obtain myself!!
Condiment draw was a stained small white unit that had some coffee sachets, tea etc, and some used. This was when the room is classed as ready for next customer.
The hotel should replace the white condiment unit if stained as it looks extremely bad.

Dirt, hairs,and past customers items under beds. Hair in the bed and marks on wall as well as doors that can and must be wiped cleaned before next customer. towels worn also.

Small balcony which could seat two if they provided chairs, i took one from the 2nd floor to use. I assume they expected me to sit on the edge of the bed and look out to the sea. Staff did not seem too bothered, handed key back in as requested/recommended due to 24hr reception cant always get you in the room if you lose the key. Some staff seemed bemused when you gave the key back in, so did'nt bother after a couple of days. I asked for wake up call and taxi, did not get a wake up call as requested. Taxi was available, but that might of been called when i had to go back to the room to collect remote controls. No guide to hotel in rooms, IE; where the pool is or info. Shame, as hotel is nice looking externally. PS, inside of lifts are tatty, simple 20 minute make over would fix, eg; recover in laminate etc.

Very poor, water brown, slow and shower head holder defective so not possible to shower, safe not functioning, no tv remote offered and aircon was a racket but did work ok, even though this was two star, the price I paid for one night was equivalent to a three/four. Sorry even the pool was not usable as it was brown at the bottom, when I complained a smirk from the receptionist with well it’s two star hotel what do you expect!!!! Avoid

very noisy, basic hotel.

I booked for four nights, but only stayed for one nught because the noise from other residents and digs was horrebdous. A dog was barking continuously until 00.30 when its owner came back. Then men were bangjng doors, walking up sbx diwn and talking really loudly until 04.00. The reception staff did nothing to stop them. My room was clean, a very basic hotel.

Good mattress, bring your own pillow!

Check in was easy, they gave me a key and remote control for the tv. I never turned the tv on, do I don’t know if it works. The mattress was comfy but the pillows were so flat, it was like sleeping so without a pillow. The first night we noticed the room smelled of cigarette, we asked if we could changed rooms, they declined our request and said they would clean it better. The smell was less but it was still present. Overall, it was fine, we hardly spent time in the room. We were out by 8am and back by 10pm every night.

Basic but clean and local to everything

This hotel is advertised as 2 star and that's what it is. I've seen reviews complaining about it but it doesn't pretend to anything it isn't. It's basic.
The staff are all friendly and helpful and it is perfectly situated for all the local bars and restaurants. It is also a short walk to the beach.
It's cheap and you get what you pay for

Not a good Hortel

The whole hotel smelt, either of dirty mops or bleach, which to me was trying to cover up other dirty smells. My mum had a room on her own and the toilet was filthy, I asked for it to be cleaned and no one was available and no more rooms for her to move in to. My sisters bathroom was really smelly of urine and had to be moved.

Exceptionally clean and maintained. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a quiet location just up from the sea front and close to the cafés bars and bus stop. There's a lovely seating area at the front garden with waterfall to relax in the sun and a roof terrace and pool. There are drinks machines including soft drinks, coffee, tea and beer in the reception area which are reasonably priced. Also a lounge area inside with comfy settees to relax and read a book magazine etc or just chill with friends. Overall a very nice hotel in a nice location at affordable prices.
I was very pleased and would definitely stay there again.

Room was clean fresh towels per day ,which you needed as the shower flooded the floor every time you showered, shower head could not be moved, so if small in stature as I am took a time to get wet let alone rinse off. Room basic but that was all we needed only 2 power points, had to pay extras for safe and tv remote good place for a short stay

I really would avoid this hotel. We found a used condom in our room at first. It's the tiniest room I've ever seen so how that was missed is beyond me?! We were moved to another room but the cleanliness was just as shocking. Rubbish in the wardrobes and drawers, dirty blankets etc. Don't expect to get spare toilet paper or anything really after dark. Don't waste money on breakfast, its a roll, jam, 1 cup tea or coffee or juice. All in all I'm very sad to say there was nothing good about this hotel. Don't waste your money.

Good location. The breakfast is stingy, rule is one cup of coffee only. Even though they give you a second if there's excess but the rules say you pay for a second. No hot water to make tea or coffee yourself. They have a microwave but not allowed access to it after breakfast 7am- 11am.

The room was extremely small and very dark, no air conditioning at all, there was a fan in the room which gave out hot air, a ceiling fan that wobbled. We received 2 small hand towels and one glass between us. The shower leaked and the toilet didn’t flush, the sink was broke and there were bugs everywhere! We lay awake all night long and got bitten few times, don’t even go there with breakfast! Cold and rubber! We checked out after first night, we were booked for a week but just couldn’t stay there after one night! The only positive was that the desk staff were very nice and friendly! Would not recommend this hotel at all!!!

Just a place to spend the night.

Shower facilities unsatisfactory.The shower curtain is flimsy and small .cannot enjoy a comfortable shower as water likely to spread everywhere.The toilet area was stuffy with poor ventillation.No table and chair on the balcony.No telephone in the room on the 5th floor.When we arrived late on June 16th,the lights kept switching off every few seconds and we had difficulty finding our room as we had to keep pressing the light switch.Breakfast very basic.same pot of cornflakes daily.And if we requested a second cup of coffee we had to pay for it at the reception. When I recounted this to a friend who had stayed there before he had the canteen service must have gone down.We reported all this to reception who were very nice and polite.Full marks to the receptionists.However,the lounge areas were very comfortable.Wifi was free and only available in the reception area.We in effect booked a self catering place for two nights just to break the tedium,somewhere where you could cook with kitchen facilities.I only paid £42 for two nights,which means at £21 per night it. It would have cost only only £105 for nights at Vistamar apartment.If I was able to find this why could'nt Hotel.com do so.I paid £169 at Betania for very basic facilities.

We had an overnight stay there. It was ok for the one night. Don’t think I could stay a week there. The room was ok, but there were lots of flies/ insects in the bathroom. I think they’re the ones that come from the drainage system. So that wasn’t very nice.

Overall the hotel was fine and a really good location if you wanted to be close to the seafront. I had a wonderful view of the sea from the window on my fourth floor room, far better than I expected for the price I paid.
The only reason the cleanliness was not rated as excellent was that the maid had not looked in the wardrobe and there was some harmless trash that should have been removed! In terms of everything being clean & sparkly that should be clean & sparkly, it was.
Overall the hotel was clean, but sadly nobody looked in the wardrobe in my room. That had rubbish & empty beer bottles inside, the maid needed to open the doors and

A good value 2* hotel.

A good 4 night stay in this budget hotel. Earlier negative comments about room size, breakfast etc we consider were unfair. It is 2* and as such we got great value for what we paid. Added to which it is in a great, quiet location a few metres from the seafront and the service from all the staff was excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The property is very basic. The room had a double bed (foam matteress) a small old fashioned portable tv (only Spanish channels) and a ceiling fan (no AC). The bathroom had a bedet and a shower (no bath). I was on the third floor. French doors lead out to a patio area with sun loungers & a pool which was not filled with water. The patio was south facing & gets the sun most of the day. There were a few ants running around the bathroom but they did not bother me. For the money I payed I could not complain.

Kitchen and reception staff were so smiley and happy and really helpful. The cleaners were friendly too. The towels and sheets were changed every day and the breakfast was good especially when taking into consideration that it was a two star hotel. We could not fault it and would go back again. Highly recommended!

The hotel was what you would expect for a 2 star with breakfast. Clean and mainly friendly and helpful staff. Sadly, on checking out we left all our English money in the room. I understand this was our fault but the concierge refused to enter the room to get the money, despite the fact that the maids go in every day and said he did not know what would happen to it but that they would not send it on to me. I have left them my bank details and am hoping to see a deposit but I won't hold my breath!!

Booked just one night in October. It was cheap so wasn’t sure what to expect. Good location taxi from airport £25. Room tiny couldn’t stay long there one night was enough. Bathroom basic, shower was a square with a curtain round it, not much room. We had ants in the bathroom. No aircon which we knew it was ok in October don’t think it would be comfortable in summer. Didn’t use any other facilities.

Very close to the beach. If your looking for a place to put your head down & just sunbathing there this is fine. Very basic no facilities & the rooms are really small. You get clean towels everyday.
But at night everyone seems to just slam there doors & not close themy all hours.
The breakfast is €4 continental. Roll, jam, sliced cheese, salami,croissant. Orange juice tea/coffee.
There are only vending machines here.
There is a great little supermarket at the sunset beachieve alot cheaper.

Convenient to beach

The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful but the room was very small and had to borrow a fan as ceiling fan was useless. Breakfast was poor with a hard roll, cheese and meat, much to my distaste. Pool very small and roof terrace was not clean when I went out onto it so spent every day at the beach. We had no balcony so room was claustrophobic but a lesson has been leaned. You get what you pay for, holiday was cheap and next time I will spend more to make sure my stay is comfortable.

Once because of my mistake , my booking was cancelled, but when we turned up at 2am ; they guy can’t find the booking, still gave us no stress and let us in regardless .

Can't fault this budget hotel. You get more than you pay for! Perfect as a base for my cousin and I. Great location back from busy road yet near bus stops. If you are happy to walk, Easy access to lovely park, train station, cable cars, marina etc. Very clean overall and towels changed daily. Would stay there again.

Hotel us a basic place to stay. Breakfast we included on our stay but is the same each day served on a tray. Some staff weren't very helpful we locked key in the room and it was sucn an effort to get room unlocked. Left one toilet roll each day which didn't last the full day or even get left every day, when we ran out was told we would get another one the next day! After a little pushing reception gave us half a roll. There is no bar or restaurant which would have been handy. Not a bad place but just basic. Facilities were clean, small pool with a few sunbed and sun trap terrace

Pleasant basic budget hotel in a great location

OK it's basic. The pool is as small as it looks on the pictures and the roof terrace even bigger with great sea views. Room basic but adequate with a good bathroom. Plenty of common areas with sofas, books and newspapers. 2nd line from the beach with buses along the coast. 20 mins walk or bus from second bus stop in town centre direction to the station. I would certainly return here (but not in high season). Noise carries, especially showers and toilet flushes. Staff were friendly but some of the rules do make you feel you are in an institution. Breakfast was much better than many hotels (I live in Germany!) but it comes prepacked on a tray you \"sign in for\" and there are notices saying if you want extra you pay extra. You even have to pay a deposit on your room key and the small sachet of shower gel is the only one you get (even if you stay a fortnight!). You need to buy your own soap and shampoo. But you get clean towels daily whether you want them or not and toilet rolls are supplied! Good wifi, but only within 2 metres of reception.

I love this hotel, have stayed here everytime I have been in Benalmadena. It is beautifully decorated and very clean and tidy, the receptionists are multi lingual and can't do enough to help. The rooms are cleaned everyday, and fresh towels always. The location is great and the area is upmarket. The only downside is the no wi fi in the rooms.

I stayed here for 2 nights on 14th and 15th jan 2018 as it is near to the beach and fairly close (down the hill from the station and the main shopping area) and it gave me a chance to get my bearings. Would have stayed longer but found a great deal elsewhere.It was very reasonably priced at the bottom end of prices of hotels in the area. I did not have any food and didnt really have any dealings with the staff other than the reception area who were helpful when I needed them. Room comfortable but a bit cold (still it is winter and those 2 days were a bit colder than the norm for this time of year, but therte were blankets in the room). Breakfast opening times on the board were long, dont think they did any other food. Free Wi fi available which was good.

Good points
For the price can’t complain about the decor and amenities.
It has all basic needs.
I recommend going to a cafe for breakfast as the coffee here wasn’t anything compared to 5 minutes walk down and to the right of the hotel.
Bathroom very basic but spacious. I recommend a balcony with the room.
5 minutes from the beach
5 minutes from supermarket, shoes and restaurants
Buses to all parts of the province within 3/4 minutes
Staff were helpful and told me how to get to Granada Marbella etc
Benalmádena old town, quaint and breathtaking village located on the hill is a must see 10/15 minutes bus ride. It was the highlight of my stay.
Marina port is 15 minutes wqlk along the beach and another tasteful hangout specially at sunset and evening- feels like a fairytale.

very good priced hotel

we have stayed here three times in two years for short stays. It is located well and is not far from restaurant bars and the beach. There are buses available all the time so you have no problem getting around. The best thing about this hotel is the prices This depends on every individual on what they want from a hotel. If we are honest a nice little bar would be nice to be able to sit in at the end of an evening. Also maybe a few English speaking TV channels
I am not complaining but that would be my choice if I was asked
All the staff were really friendly and helpful

Good Price and Location.

Overall the hotel was fine and local supermarket, bars & restaurants were withing a 5 minute walk. My only complaint is lack of heating on cold winter nights. But extra blankets made up for that. Bus Stops and Taxis within 5 mins Walk.

Been here before only do a continental breakfast but there's a good breakfast at Pepe Corner come out of hotel turn left down to windmill roundabout carry on passed petrol station Peps is on the right 5 mins walk..

Cramped but clean and suitable for short stays

The room is just big enough for a double bed and side drawers. It had patio doors and a balcany which you can not go out on. Nice looking out to the pool but no great views. The room is kept very clean and there is new towels every day. If you are looking for basic accommodation for somewhere to sleep at a low cost. This is the place for you. The location is central only minutes to the beach and next door to Diamond resorts which is a 4 star complex.

Good hotel in quiet location

This is really a no-frills 2 star hotel but I had a nice, clean comfortable room. As the hotel was situated in a quiet backstreet with no noisy bars nearby I slept very well. Very good for the price!
