The hotel is located up a very steep hill that connects to an extremely busy road, which makes both access and the surrounding area quite noisy. Unfortunately, the noise continues inside—there’s little to no sealing on the windows and doors, so you hear everything. Cleaners start working from 8am and can be quite loud, banging mops against walls. Guests who are early risers often chat loudly on their balconies, and due to the poor soundproofing, it’s impossible to sleep through it.

The pool is overcrowded, with no available sunbeds and no real space to relax. The poolside menu is very limited, overpriced, and consists mostly of uninspiring junk food.

Overall, the atmosphere felt chaotic and not very relaxing. I wouldn’t choose to return, although I can imagine this might still be considered a decent hotel by some, depending on what you're looking for.

Fabulous Hotel for family holiday

A great place for a family holiday. Ideally located close to the beach at the quieter end of the town and only a short ride from the airport. The outdoor pools are lovely and just the right depth for kids of all ages. The pools and deck were cleaned down each morning before use.
The organised entertainment and activities both day and night were great fun.. The Friday foam party in the pool was a highlight.
Food in general is great, the restaurant is well organised and efficient. There is a huge choice of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a different theme each night, some of the specialties were a bit disappointing, especially Italian night but still plenty of quality food to choose from.
Rooms are comfortable and the air conditioning kicked in quickly to keep the room at a lovely temperature.
All of the staff in the hotel were super professional and very friendly.

Great hotel and great facilities for families. Indoor pool a god send for our baby as outdoor pool was too cold and deep for her to splash in.
Staff all really friendly and so kind to our daughter.

Overall, pretty good, good food, excellent coffee.
Our experience was negatively influenced because of sewage odour in our room, due to overflow in the bathroom sink. We asked to change room but resort was full. They did a treatment which helped for one day but terrible odour was back. We complained again and never heard from anyone neither were we offered compensation. This was poorly handled and a bad experience. We were out a lot but we had to close the bathroom door in mornings and evenings and leave the patio door open.

The aparthotel is family oriented with very good miniclub and kids activities, this is the biggest plus for us. The indoor pool is excellent as well, although the water depth is quite deep so might not be suitable for non-swimmers.

The half board options are reasonably good as well. The cooking quality for dinner however still have some room for improvement.

My family very much enjoyed our stay! We wished we were on the beach but it was a five minute walk. The food was good and my six year old said it was the best food he’d ever eaten (chocolate fountain, pizza, churros). I wish we had known about all the many things happening at the resort because we probably missed most. Mini disco must for all families with littles. So cute!

This hotel is fantastic, I write this review from the hotel whilst waiting on my wife. We are here for 5 x nights All-inclusive.
Food really good, plenty of options, drinks and deserts have plenty of options.
Rooms are very well kept, plenty of room, cleaned often.
Staff are fantastic. Isabel on reception was very very helpful,.
Chef Yasmina and Sandra done a beautiful sea food soup. Really lovely. Bar staff are brilliant.
This hotel is 4 Star, and is a strong one at that. It doesn't claim to be 5 star... Yet there's not much I'd change about it.
Big thumbs up from us.

From the offset I can share that we spent a good few days at the hotel. Food wise was good, hotel staff was exactly what you would expect and the hotel met our general expectations regarding facilities. Having said that, the hotel is do for a bit of a renovation in most areas. It's maybe a 3.5 star hotel and we would rate it like most people which is 4 out 5.

Fantastic hotel for a family break

So many praises for this hotel. Very clean, friendly staff and great facilities. Our children loved the pool, mini club, mini disco and the entertainment staff. Jose, Claudia, Maltilda & all the entertainment team were so kind to the children. Beny the Tiger was a big hit!! My husband and I actually managed to get some quality time together on occasion as the kids enjoyed the mini club so much.
The restaurant had a wide range of options for food. We did half board and that was enough. We heard there were a quite few restrictions with the all inclusive.
The hotel is situated on a very steep hill but they do have a courtesy bus if needed that runs along the seafront.
We took the local buses up to mijas pueblo which was well worth a visit as very pretty. The marina in Benalmedena is lovely and the park too.
The rooms were a good size, modern and clean. Sofa bed was sturdy but not comfortable like a double bed.
I would highly recommend this hotel as it has something for everyone. We like to travel around for our holidays but may pop back for a short break. The kids miss BENY!! Big thank you to all the staff who work so hard to make this hotel great.

Everything was perfect and spotless. Found a welcoming display in the room of an elephant made out of a towel and some sweets. Lovely spread for breakfast. The staff were very helpful too. 2 mins walk to the beach and plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. Will be returning soon.

Hotel is well located, close to what you need. There is local shop 5 minutes walking distance, very close to the beach.
Apartment and balcony is good size.
Staff at the hotel is amazing and very friendly. They are helpful and willing to help you when you need anything.
You've got entertainment every evening, which is for both, adults and children. Also, there is enough to do within the hotel in case bad weather. We used indoor pool pretty every day - water very clean and does not sting your eyes...

A really pleasant stay at this hotel. All staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Great hotel for the indoor pool, gym, kids club etc.
We also paid extra on the nights we wanted to eat in the restaurant. Fairly good variety of food available on both nights we ate there.

Just a lovely hotel with lovely friendly staff. Could not do enough for you at front desk. Loved The Indoor pool. Used it a lot. The hotel was near to almost everything, sometimes a bit of a walk away but nice to walk instead of just sit at the bar!!!!. Loads of buses on the front main road. Lovely friendly drivers. The bar prices very good. Lots to do if you just want to stay in hotel. Very happy.

Lovely break, only negative. My wife & I were very ill(nasty cold virus) the last two days so we suggested we had the option of keeping our room till we departed for the airport at 6pm, which would have kept us away from other guests so not spreading our germs. However the gent on reception was very unhelpful & showed no empathy whatsoever, cannot remember is name. The other guys on reception Mario & the young lady had been excellent throughout our stay, he let them down. Small thing but we did feel extremely ill.

Stayed at this hotel on 3 occasions before. On the last 2 there was trouble with the rooms. On this occasion we requested a room with afternoon sun at the back of the hotel. We were allocated a room at the front with no sun after 11am. We said we did not want that room and were allocated another. I went up to check it out and it had the same outlook as the previous room but another floor up. We complained about this and were told that there were no other rooms available. We explained we were not happy and were then offered a room with afternoon and evening sun but had to pay €9 per night extra. This hotel was by no means full and I think this was a rip-off. Throughout our stay I think I saw one other person in the corridor where are room was. The hotel itself is lovely with great staff. It is clean and the food excellent. When we requested a room with afternoon sun and if there was none available we should of been told when booking and went elsewhere. Before booking make sure that any requests that you have are confirmed.

Despide the incident at arrival, we upgraded it to a better room and the rest of the stay was pleasant, the dinner restaurant closing at 10pm found it a bit early since in Spain everything is open till late and at 9:30 there was a huge rush. Staff is very friendly and keep the kids really entertained. The hotel is clean to perfection, every single area is sooo clean, kudos to the housekeeper for keeping it this way. I will definitely comeback but not to a studio an apartment was a better option for us.

Great Family Stay!

We stayed at The BP for 5 nights, 16th-21st Aug 19. On our arrival late on the 16th, we were greeted by Sisco at the Front Office. Post check in, I went back to the Front Office as our allocated room was on the 1st Floor snack bar and there was a lot of smoke from this late night drinks bar. My little one is allergic to smoke, but little could Sisco do anything as the Hotel was sold out for the night.
I visited the Front Office in the morning and to my surprise Sisco was present and I was also greeted by Mario the Feont Office Manager. I was promised a change of room by 12pm. We took the kids for swimming and Mario upgraded us to a Superior Room with the best view in the hotel (Floor 5 - Seaview).
Also as a gesture of goodwill, Mario treated us to Lunch and a lovely Prosecco and fruits in the room.
All in all a 5 Star customer service. Well deserved appreciation. Thank you BP, see u all soon. Thank you.

After booking we had concerns that this hotel was too far from the beach and the swimming pool looked small. However on turning up we were pleasantly surprised on how lovely this hotel was. Firstly it was much smaller than first expected with a relaxed vibe which was perfect. Our room was exactly what we wanted (despite poor air conditioning and a faulty wardrobe door). The pool was small and shallow but for a weeks vacation it was fine and very rarely overcrowded. The walk to the beach was easy due to a back path that took away the large slope down to the coast. As for the restaurant the food was fantastic with lots of options for all tastes. Also we found the hotel staff all very focused on customer service which was nice to see

Just returned from a weeks stay and had a great time. The hotel is modern and clean and our apartment was very well equipped. It was cleaned every day with clean towels daily and the sheets were changed once during our stay. We found all of the staff to be pleasant and helpful especially in the restaurant. The food itself was excellent and the menu was varied with a different theme each night. We had contacted the hotel before we booked as my grandchildren are dairy intolerant and we were reassured they could accommodate their allergies. On our first night in the restaurant we were met by the head waiter, Sergio, we explained the situation and he called the Head chef out and they walked around the full buffet with my daughter and identified what the children could eat. They did this every night and also asked if there was anything specific the children would like preparing. This made meal times so much easier and we had a really enjoyable holiday. This hotel is great for families, the evening entertainment/ shows were good and the activities for the children were great fun. Excellent service all round.

The property was nice but it was not near the centre of Benalmádena. This was not made clear. We were fine as we were able to walk. There was a courtesy bus but it only took people to a drop off point near the sister hotel which although at the beach was still not near the marina or main square

Only stay here if you have kids

If you're travelling with kids, this place is heaven, as they're being encouraged to run riot 24/7, but if you're looking for peace and quiet, this place is hell. The hotel, staff and food a very good, but none of the original \"adult only\" areas is for adults anymore, even the Spa is run over with children at all times. The animation team also takes over the main pool most of the day with games.

Just back yesterday from this hotel and I can honestly say it’s the most relaxing holiday I’ve ever had at a hotel abroad.
The main reason for this is, we didn’t have the stress of having to get up early for sunbeds as you weren’t allowed to reserve them .
A rule which was enforced by the lifeguards , you also had to remove your towels when you went for lunch , in turn this meant there was always beds available at any time of the day .
Well done Benalmádena palace !!!!

The hotel was also immaculately clean and staff were extremely nice and helpful x

We stayed on a self catering basis and the room had all the essentials that were needed , the room was cleaned everyday by the maids to a very high standard , they also left lollipops on the kids beds after making them up , nice touch.

Only thing I would say negative about this hotel is that it’s situated on a very steep hill so not good for people with walking difficulties .

We absolutely cannot recommend this property enough. Firstly they were so helpful in changing our dates because I’d messed up and booked incorrectly. As for the facilities, they cater brilliantly for kids with a playground, mini golf, soft play, kids club and lots of entertainment for kids including a foam party in the pool. Their attention to detail is amazing and you get heart lollies left plus lovely decorations with the towels. All of the staff were helpful but in particular Priscilla on the desk at the restaurant went out of her way to help me when I stained my dress with oil at dinner. My 3 year old daughter took a shine to both Juan and Marcos two of the waiters that were both so lovely and friendly. The food was great. Lots of choice and again aimed at kids with kids area to eat and kids cutlery etc. A choc fountain every night! What’s not to love. Would definitely return. Have to say also that Expedia themselves were absolutely amazing in helping us change our holiday dates. Thank you to Expedia team and to the hotel. Super holiday!

no wine glasses and the regular glasses were quite old. Dish soap in small container. sofa was old and uncomfortable and mattresses were not too comfortable. Water pressure was a problem in both the bathroom and kitchen
