The staff was so smiley, kind, welcoming and helpful. It makes such a difference during your stay away and creates a nice atmosphere from the get go, so thank you very much. Room was clean and lovely. Balcony over looking marina was beautiful. Interior design of hotel lovely. Drinks menu gives great choice. Location of the hotel - incredible thumbs up. Right opposite the marina with their back door leading on to the road opposite. Lovely facilities and heated whirlpool. Bear in mind you need to bring your own towel else it’s 3.5 euros to rent which isn’t the end of the world. It was my partners birthday and they brought her a voucher for a free drink at the bar which was really sweet. We only had breakfast but that was really nice as well with lots of selection! Thank you for a lovely stay, we would definitely return.

Location of the Palmasol hotel is really nice. During the sunny days it takes about 10 minutes walk to get to the sea beech. Surprisingly warm water in the middle of October - 23-25 (C)
Palmasol also one of the closest hotels to Marina - huge place of attractions : restaurants, entertainment, all kinds of shops, game places, etcetera.

The only downside was the building work noise of another hotel being built next to ours. But it certainly didn’t spoil our holiday, it’s just one of those things can’t be helped.

The hotel was first class shout out to the cleaner on first floor who looked after us in room 116 lovely friendly helpfully lady reception staff very helpful we ended up staying another 3 nights good location easy to get taxis not too expensive usually about 5 euro 😀

Wonderful Family stay

This hotel is perfectly located for the marina. We had a family room and the space was amazing, especially the wrap around balcony. The entertainment team were wonderful in keeping the kids happy. Would definitely visit this hotel again infact iv already looked at rebooking

There was a building construction going on just across the street from our room. So it was very very noisy. Reception staff were lovely and friendly as were the housekeeping staff. Bar staff weren’t at all helpful or friendly in any way.

A lot of building work going on outside hotel. Alarm from crane bleeping all night, kept us awake. We are early risers, but had to wait for a coffee until restaurant opened at 11am, after the breakfast had finished. Pool not open until 10am and the que was horrendous, especially in the open sun. Card payment only and card reader went down and could not even get a bottle of water. Asked if we could leave room number and pay when card reader back up and running but was refused. Not the best experience I am afraid

It was ok. Not what we used to. Staff were helpful at reception. But i had to make it clear i wanted what i paid for.. they did move us
Pool does not open untill 10am too late . Crazy people running for sun bed. Very pretty around pool and clean too. Food was nice, drinks too. Very close to harbour and some shops , resturants.
Good location. Turn right out of hotel , lots going on. .

The hotel is well located, it’s clean and tidy, yes there is a lot of working going on around the hotel and noise can be heard but overall it doesn’t ruin the hotel, I have stayed here many times and like the hotel, they always help with my requests of a high floor away from the lifts.

Lovely clean hotel. Needs more storage in bedrooms. Tea & coffee not replenished by maids unless I asked every day at reception. Disappointed with breakfast, plenty choice, but hot buffet was luke warm and bread for toast stale and some toasters not working. Only went for breakfast twice out of our 4 day stay.

The location is great. Close to the beach and restaurants. It is really close to the local bus stop for excursions so that was a definite plus for me. The hotel itself is a bit run down in the rooms and some of the areas were closed, particularly the outdoor patio bar. The buffet breakfast was okay, nothing out of the ordinary fare but coffee was out of one of those press and pou machines so that was disappointing. Entertainment was a bit cheesy. The pool area is wonderful with gardens and lots of palm trees around. Water was too cold to really swim but that was due to the weather not being warm enough yet to heat it up by the sun. Staff were friendly and helpful. All in all, a good choice for location and outdoor pool area. Didn't like the fact that it was a card only payment system.

I had a very good experience. The hotel had a perfect location and the breakfast buffet was great.
They had bands instead of cards to access the rooms which didn't work sometimes so that was a bit annoying but later the bands were fixed, apart from that the hotel rooms had no iron to press clothes. But overall the experience was very good.

Only negatives were inability to hire an iron and rooms at the back of the hotel subject to excessive noise from bin area…. Positives are aplenty, from the staff,to cleanliness, to location etc etc….. love this hotel …

Asked for a high floor away from the lifts, got floor 1, yes it was away from the lift, just would of liked higher as light sleeper staying for 16 days, my room didn’t get swept much whilst was there so a lot of floor dirt on my feet after a shower wasn’t amazing! Hotel is nice, don’t get me wrong but feel could do with a few tweeks to make it better

Went for a 5 Nights Bed and Breakfast stay at The Palmasol with 16 friends on a Golf trip. Rooms a little small with an ensuite shower room . Breakfast was ok with plenty of options . Staff were helpful and friendly and the location of the hotel was excellent. Having a front facing room could prove noisy with building work going on opposite .

Hotel is nice but not 4 star. It is expensive for what you get. Awful experience at checking in with the receptionist. Our room was fine with a small balcony looking out onto 2 building sites. I didn’t mind the view so much as the noise which started very early in the morning, I think if we had been pre warned it would have been better. The breakfast was really good with a good choice. I only went to dinner once. I found the quality of the food awful. The bar staff are very pleasant and under quite a lot of stress with the wristband system I do feel sorry for them but the queues for drinks is terrible easily up to 10 to 15 people at a time. After 2 nights we stayed away from the hotel for the evenings. Crazy to pay for a kettle in the room. Location was great but won’t be staying again. Please give customer service training to your receptionists they are so unhelpful.

Didn’t like the room given, ordered a double give a twin, pool view no way give a view of a building site then was asked for 50 euros extra to change to the room requested. Faff on with bracelets for paying, never had to queue at a gate to get into pool and subbed area before and not open till 10am. Money bracelets act as door keys also and forever not working, back to reception to reload. Only one receptionist on duty so checkin very slow especially when your following a bus load in.

Most people staying at the hotel looked 50 and over so it was nice and quiet with no gangs of kids or hen parties. The place always looked clean, smelled fresh and had reception 24 hours, also lemon or cucumber water on the reception desk for free.The rooms were nice with a balcony, 2 chairs and small table. Nice shower room.There is also a safe you can hire. We went self catering and were given a blue band that reception could add money too for the bar as they don't take cash. The pool is nice goes up to 5ft at the deep end. Lots of beds around the pool and on the grass behind but limited umbrellas. There is a large seating area by the bar with tables and chairs you can order small snacks along with your drinks. Also a large canopy area where you can chill or have a nap. There is a gym and small hot tub and next to them there is a door that leads to the main part of the marina, local supermarket, bars, restaurants and if you follow left or right it will take you over to more shops and the beach's. The only problem we had was the maid did not close our room door properly twice after cleaning during our 10 night stay. Nothing was taken but we were upset about it. The manager was nice and dealt with the problem himself. From malaga airport we ordered an uber and it cost around $23 for the 20 minute ride or you can take a train €3 and then a taxi. We didnt dine there so dont know what the meals were like but there was usually a que at the bar due to only 1 or 2 staff serving.

Average hotel at best !!!

We paid all inclusive and it clearly was not all inclusive with lots of hidden payments , upgrade drinks, safe hire, water was not in rooms, restricted bar times and entertainment was total rubbish !!!

It looks great on the advert but when you get there it’s average at best !

The hotel can’t cope with large numbers and are rude to guests a lot of the time wouldn’t waste your money on all inclusive it’s a con !

Very enjoyable stay here. Room was compact,but well designed. Comfortable bed, good wifi, good shower. Small balcony with sun for a couple of hours, other rooms probably better for sunshine. Helpful friendly staff at reception and elsewhere. Medium sized pool, water a little cool but enjoyable. Breakfast was good. 5 minute walk to beach. So much choice for food and drinks closeby. Look out for all the irish bars, sometimes side by side.

Nice hotel. Ridiculously late check in at 4pm though, I thought maybe it was 2pm but my fault for not reading it. Lots of construction going on around the area, but not the hotels fault. Room was adequate and spacious. The biggest let down for me was the swimming pool. Absolutely freezing, never known a hotel with such a cold pool. It’s a real shame as the pool area is beautiful.

The hotel was opposite a massive building site.
we were all-inclusive gold plus, but this still meant we were only allowed to order 2 drinks each at a time (includes both alcohol and soft drinks) and the bar had a long queue most of the time so it put you off going to the bar. it felt like access to water was restricted the whole holiday. there was no bottled water put in the rooms for us and none available via a water fountain or anything which meant you had to go to the bar which was a mission!
the staff seemed to say no to everything you asked which was very odd customer service! they were understaffed and often only 1 staff member working the bar which meant an extremely long queue.

however the food at the hotel was very good.

This is a lovely family friendly hotel
It ticked all our boxes
Its in a lovely location, our room had a beautiful almost panoramic view of the marina, it was very clean, modern decor, with friendly staff
It is up a slight hill we had two buggies and didn’t struggle but if you have a wheelchair it may be more challenging
The food options were good and vast and we’re continually freshly topped up throughout service
Pool was clean and lifeguard was always present
The bars in the hotel looked good but were quite busy after 10pm. We didn't stay for any of the entertainment but it was advertised in the hall with the entertainment schedule
I would just say that there was no trolly to help move suitcases around which was challenging with 3 kids and 2 buggies but we sorted it in multiple trips. (However it would have definitely helped to have one available)
I would definitely return and recommend

Best on coast

We stayed for 3 night's. We booked this hotel as we wanted to be close to 24 hour square where all the night life is. The position of the hotel for night life, beach and bars is perfect. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had( and I've travelled a lot). Plus the staff are again some of the best in my travels. I will DEFINITELY be back 😊.

Friends for a big birthday. Food & Drink was good. Brilliant location for the Marina & nightlife. Rooms very small & basic, very disappointed. Did all-inclusive, however this meant we didn't get the best treatment. Security was very rude of an evening & spoke to us like children. Wouldn't stay again!

hotel has been done up, rooms and all areas much better now, great value buffet breakfast with great variety and spead laid on ... great location with access gate down to Marina area which helps avoid the road hill and truck traffic...good shortcut also for those with mobility or health issues... only grip was rooms were noisy from vehicle outside and doors and cleaners inside..better main door seal and a big ask better sliding windows would do the trick...although v good experieince.

Hotel seemed brand new or had recently been refurbished. Kept very clean and tidy.

Within a 5-10 minute walk of the marina area where there are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops, the beach a further 5 minutes from there also.

Breakfast buffet very nice with loads of choice, dinner is a buffet too which I didn't have but heard good things.

Only gripe was the bar doesn't stay open past midnight, maybe out of season and not the end of the world.

Would thoroughly recommend a stay here though.

Hardly any sleep, could not use the swimming pool!

We had a front bedroom with a balcony. Did not get much sleep due to the noise outside and the early morning builders in the building site opposite. We did not use the balcony due to the building site.
Could not use the outside pool, as the water was freezing. The hot tub was covered up and the indoor pool you needed a swimming cap.
The staff at the bar were brilliant. You could not wish for more choice at breakfast.

Totally refurbished, looks like a new hotel inside

The hotel has been refurbished over the winter months, very clean and clinical, we had a few issues, our room was extremely small, a few issues with a few new staff members, but after speaking to Steven the hotel manager we moved to another room and sorted the other issues out, as a frequent traveler I understand that we don’t live in a perfect world, but it’s how we sort the customer service out 10/10 ,
The outstanding staff were the lady chef at breakfast who cooked my wife bacon and eggs and nothing was too much trouble, Rita the entertainer and the life guard, the hotel is a safe and beautiful place, it’s perfectly placed as you leave from the bottom garden and your over the road from the marina

Had an amazing stay at this hotel. Everything 10/10. Great location, cleanliness amazing the hotel smelled amazing very fresh which may sound strange but it made you aware that everything was cleaned to a high standard. Staff amazing and so accommodating. Definitely will recommend to others and will be back.

Fijn hotel met een baby! Ontbijt, lunch en diner voor ieder wat wils. De dame van de receptie was heel onvriendelijk met het inchecken bij aankomst. Een kamer op de hoek, wat erg fijn was met een extra raampartij en een groot balkon! De eerste 5 dagen top personeel in de eetzaal. Daarna een switch van personeel, waardoor het een flink stuk minder werd. Handige locatie dichtbij jachthaven, strand en winkeltjes.
