The room service was lacking the staff would not provide clean mugs or refresh tea and coffee facilities, nor would they refresh the soap bar for handwashing.
The rooms were not sound proof at all could hear people in the next room, could hear hallway conversations and the doors banging 5 doors down.
The hotel does have free parking but the frer section is small and at the front of the hotel, the large side carpark is paid at €10 a night.
Beds are firm but comfortable.
Did not use the pool so cannot comment.
Overall a basic clean hotel but could do with some improvements.

I cant fault the property, from the location, staff and cleanliness... bus stop down the hill to take you anywhere you wish, there is also a taxi rank round corner and a walkable 15 mins to the wonderful marina with great restaurant's and bars... will definately be back.

Even though this hotel is located on a hill its position is great. 5-10 mins from the beach/marina. 5 mins from Bonanza square.
Only down side is very noisy at night/early morning but that depends who your neighbours are & not the fault of the hotel. There are signs to be quite but some people dont respect this hence the 4 stars

The Pool area 10%

I was able to check in immediately even after arriving 2 hours before the stated time. Room was spacious and very comfy. Air con was perfect. The bathroom was decent, two shower heads and a big window. Pool are was lovely. Always able to get a sun bed. Lots of natural shade in the afternoons. Pool itself was good. Was a big size and had a deep end. The only slight grumble I had was that the water wasn’t very refreshing in the hot days, but it was the middle of summer so I guess the sun warms it up. But it didn’t stop me enjoying it still.

I stayed for 4 nights. On the whole I was satisfied with the hotel. But what annoyed me was the tea and coffee facilities were never replenished once. I am a solo traveler who was in a twin room, causing little to no mess for the cleaner in the morning. I will stay again, but will not be doing the cleaners any favours

Lovely clean hotel and pool area with a good selection of food available but the staff are just a different level!!
Antonio, Paulo, Lola and Christina in the pool bar and Natalia and Carlotta in the restaurant are just a credit to the hotel!
They all made our stay perfect!
Even left a 20% off our next stay and 2 free cocktails along with a birthday card in the room!

The staff were very helpful. Couldnt fault the hotel. However, the parking bays for hire cars are quite tight, leading to someone dinking our hire car. This should not reflect on the hotel.

They didn’t want to give me clean cups after using them for 2 days. When I asked they washed them out with their fingers in the bathroom sink and handed it back to me. I also got a huge attitude when asking for clean towels even though I was there for a week. The location is fine but the stay was cheap for a reason I guess.

The noise!!! It's absolutely ridiculous. I didn't sleep more than 30 minutes all night. It seems every time a guest went in or out of their door it would slam and the noise is heard everywhere. Then the scraping on chairs seems constant. Possibly on the balconies. But there is zero soundproofing throughout.
Also, the nearest beach to the hotel is quite shabby with a strong smell of sewage as you approach the final set of stairs down. There's a lot of debris and seaweed.
The positives I was left with:
Parking is free in front of reception. Veronica on the front desk is super-friendly and very helpful.
The breakfast is pretty good.
But I would never stay here again and would recommend anywhere else due to the crazy noise there.

Second time at this hotel and first time since THB
We had a wonderful time and were very impressed with the facilities, the breakfast menu, our room, the improvements outside and especially the staff.
A slight criticism is the absence of evening or daytime entertainment just someone with guitar and a beat box sometimes would be good, but I am not moaning because we had such a lovely time.

I genuinely could not fault this hotel . I checked in online 2 days before, so when I arrived it was quick and efficient. The hotel is spotless, the room was spacious and comfortable with a large comfortable bed, a fridge, and kettle. The bathroom was also great, with a big walk-in shower.
I hadn't booked meals, but paid daily for breakfast, which was great value. Lots of choice and again, very clean restaurant.

High on a hill.

The hotel is up a hill, not too good maybe for older people. Quick check-in. The rooms aren't too big, but the balcony is a nice size. Comfy beds and a decent shower. Room is cleaned every day. You can hear peoples doors slamming all the time! The food is excellent, at breakfast and dinner. There is a huge choice. (if its not warm enough, put it in the microwave) Every morning there are problems with the coffee machines.....be prepared to queue! The staff in the restaurant work very hard and are a credit to the hotel. Get an Uber back to the airport, it's cheaper than a normal taxi. We would recommend the hotel.

Whilst the weather may have been awful the hotel wasn’t. In fact San Fermin was perfect. Great room which looked like it had been refurbished. Big balcony facing the sea. Great walk in shower. Food options surprised me for a 3 star hotel. More than enough choice and quality for anyone. Each night was a themed night at the restaurant. Hotel is up a steepish walk but it’s literally a 5 minute walk to the main road and another 5 minutes to the beach.

Pleasantly surprised by the standard of the room which was better than i expected. Kettle and tea/ coffee was supplied as well as a litre of water. Reception staff excellent. Only letdown was the food at dinner which was of poor quality and choice.

The photos of the hotel were exaggerated. It was very different from reality. The hotel itself is okay but not as glamorous as presented.

The room was nice and comfortable. Very quiet with bath wash and shampoo, which can be very handy as I did not have mine with me. Could not use the smart TV. I asked reception and was told it was not connected and they would not connect it. I suppose it was more of a decoration unless you carry cables with you normally to connect to televisions.

Meals- between average and poor. The meals were always either lukewarm or barely hot even after serving straight from the buffet table. The presence of a microwave confirmed they were aware of the issue. Maybe fix the heat/stove issue? So, unless you like lukewarm food, be prepared to constantly have to reheat the meals. In terms of variety- nothing spectacular as most nights I left feeling underwhelmed with the options. A few hits but far and in between. The red jelly on the last night was very sugary.

Staff- The reception and restaurant staff were not the most pleasant. Room cleaning, on the other hand, was polite and friendly.

The hotel is on a hill as mentioned by other reviewers. You'll need this to get down to the street to get the local buses or up back to the hotel. The train station is about a 14-17 minute walk from the hotel, which takes you directly to the airport. A taxi to the train stn was €5 (as of the time of writing this).

Would I return? I don't think so.

Great resort feel for a very reasonable price. The rooms are nice, clean and simple, but don’t expect a huge luxurious room. If you get the breakfast and/or dinner options the buffet is well worth the extra price. Parking was free, which was a major plus compared to most of the hotels we’ve stayed at in Spain. If you are on a budget I can’t see how you could go wrong with this hotel if you are wanting to be in the Benalmádena area.

Room was quite small but it didn't really bother us. It was well furnished and modern looking. Fridge in the room was huge convenience. We enjoyed our stay in Hotel San Fermin. Pool area, restaurant and rooms were super clean, beds were comfortable and breakfast was always delicious and plenty. The hotel was nearly full as it was peak season, but we still didn’t feel that it was overcrowded. If you are only on bed and breakfast but still would like to have dinner, it costs €14/person which is a really good value for the bufet dinner that you get here.

I have stayed in 2 other THB hotels and this has the worst location. The climb from the main road is really terrible especially during the day when it's hot. The neighboring hotel plays music so loud that the balcony doors vibrate. Fortunately they stop at 11:00. The staff are all helpful and friendly. The hotel is clean with a lovely pool and garden. The breakfast and dinner buffet provide a good selection of food but not many gluten free choices. The snack truck has a good selection of food on offer through the day.

First Class!!

I only stayed one night half board, I have only good things to say about the hotel, th staff are friendly, Marie on reception was efficient and very polite, i had a problem sorting the air conditioning out i reported it and Marie had it rectified in the time I had dinner. As I dont fly until very late, they are happy for me to use the facilities, even have a shower room that i can use before departiing! If I am ever this way again, I will definitely stay here again.

First stay at THB San Fermin. Stayed on a half board basis. Food was very good with lots of choice. Salad Bar had everything. Rooms were modern and very clean. Shower (walk in) was excellent with a powerful rain shower. Staff at reception were very very helpful and other staff in restaurant and bar were committed to providing excellent customer service. Definitely no complaints and will hopefully return in the near future.

Overall a reasonable 3* hotel.

Positives, clean and tidy, lots of sun beds and space, modern bathroom, comfortable beds, good a/c.

Negatives, tatty in places, thin walls food not very warm, over crowded restaurant, limited free parking (€10 per day main car park)

For the price I was happy with the hotel, however, needs a bit of renovation in places as looking worn and the rooms are very small, even superior!

Main issue is the walls are thin and the rooms are very loud, you can hear people in other rooms clearly and if you’re unlucky to have loud neighbours you won’t sleep.

Would return if live was good, paid £50 per night h/b, not worth much more as negative outweigh positives
