The staff are very good, and the welcome and check in were handled with efficiency. On my birthday, I got back to the room and the hotel had left a bottle of prosecco on ice. Car parking is secure and underground. A great location for the marina and the beach with lot bars and cafes nearby. Breakfast at the hotel is worth every penny, and I will describe it as fantastic.

This hotel was perfect for a 4night stay. All areas of the hotel were very clean and well maintained and the reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast had a very good wide selection of food hot and cold and was constantly being replenished and tables tidied. The majority of the people staying in the hotel were couples or families with older children. The location is perfect, right by the Marina which has a good choice of restaurants. We had a partial sea view room which was pleasant. I would recommend asking or paying for a room that faces east so that you can see the sunrise. The beach is a 2min walk and was very clean, the further up towards Torremolinos you go the prettier the beach becomes. The restaurants on the beach served very good seafood. We did walk down past the Marina to Benalmadena promenade but found this not to be as nice as the Torremolinos side that the hotel is on. I would definitely recommend this hotel for couples looking for a quiet relaxing break.

Hotel was generally nice and clean with large rooms and comfortable big beds. We found the food to be of mixed quality. it is also worth mentioning that whereas we had some amazing service from members of staff, others could be quite rude and dismissive.

Great located hotel just off the Marina in Benalmedana but with the benefit of a sea view.
We loved the upper sun bathing area with a view over the promenade.
Staying on a B&B basis (there are fare too many nice restaurants around the harbour ) we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts in the courtyard, and with such helpful and friendly staff, big thanks to Omar who was particularly helpful.
Would definitely recommend, and would return. In fact we were so impressed with the Town it is on our return list for a short break in the future!

We had a wonderful 3 nights here, staff very friendly & welcoming, room clean & bed comfy. Great view of the marina. plenty of sunbeds & no hassle at any time getting one, pool Towels provided. Stayed BB did find some food a little greasy but always plenty of choice.
Will definitely stay again such a great location on the Marina with some fabulous restaurants in the doorstep

Clean and serviceable hotel in a good location. Renovations taking place around the pool and outside area which was not communicated to us prior to or at arrival. There was very limited use of indoor facilities which needed to be booked and again, we not informed of this at check in. While we appreciate that renovations are necessary it would have been courteous to inform guests who stay during this period.

Such a great hotel located perfectly by the promenade and the marina. Within walking distance of amazing restaurants and shopping. Also a 15 min drive to the Malaga designer outlet and 25 mins to Malaga airport. Staff were incredible and so friendly - shout out to Billy our waiter who made us feel so welcome! Pool area was always very clean, never struggled for a sunbed (we went mid July) and service at the pool bar was great. This was my first time here and won’t be my last! Thanks for a great stay!

All ways wanted to try Mac hotel. It was a disappointing visit , clean and location was good to marina beds soft but comfortable, quite at night to . Breakfast poor half board doesn’t not give option to change to afternoon meal over all food poor , plastic decking would roast your feet ,entertainment in evening below average compared to other hotels,will I be back ,Nop .Between Hotels .com and hotel being a pain over amendment to booking it’s was a disappointing stay ,hotel is dead no atmosphere in evenings. (All the hotels I have been it’s first for cockroaches in restaurant) .yes disappointed very

A nice break by the Marina

First time at this hotel. We normally stay around the windmills area but it was a nice change to stay at the marina

+ Room was spacious and clean, bed comfortable, bathroom spotless, complementary drinks in fridge, tea and coffee supplied daily.
- shower gel was not topped up. Air con was really noisy and we could not sleep for the noise so room was very hot. No sun on the balcony at all which was disappointing.

Dining Room was well organised and kept clean. Dinner in the evening was very varied with a good choice of hot and cold dishes served buffet style.
- Although the plates were hot, some of the food was luke warm.
Breakfast was not so appealing with the same hot food every day and was not really to our taste. The eggs were dried up, sausages were not very good quality. However the fruit, breads, cheeses etc were good so we did find something that we liked.

Entertainment/Bar
Carmina was our first entertainer. Wow, she was absolutely 5* what a singer with lots of energy. She sang for hours without a break, sang songs to suit all ages, we could have listened to her all night, every night. Absolutely amazing and the best entertainer we have ever heard in Benalmadena over the many years we have visited.
The Tuesday entertainers were very good also. Missed the karaoke. Ruben was also fantastic, he had a great voice and the guitarist was also very good..
Bar staff were also very good.

Overall a great hotel with great staff. We may return some day

Really good food for a buffet. One highlight was smoked salmon and asparagus but there were many more. Even the breakfast included crispy bacon and English sausages, along with four types of eggs! (Incidentally, free Cava at 8AM?!) The staff are all excellent at what they do and friendly too. Be aware than much of the clientele are German, but there are Dutch and UK people as well as Spanish. The age group is generally over 70 with entertainment to match, so a chachacha or even a line dance would be much more likely than punching the air or throwing some shapes. Nonetheless, if you’re fine with that, this is a fine choice for a few days near the marina.

Superb hotel and in a great location. My room was upgraded to a walk in shower facility which I requested. The standard rooms have a shower over the bath which I consider unsafe and need at least non slip bath mats to prevent accidents. Most guests over 60 at the time of my visit.

Relaxing hotel

The Mac Puerto Marina hotel is in an ideal position on the marina in Benalmadena. It’s a very relaxing hotel and just what we needed for our holiday. The staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Our balcony room was overlooking the courtyard and had a view of the sea in the distance. It was a lovely room with plenty of space and the most comfortable bed ever 😁. The free drinks in the fridge on arrival were very welcome. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and there was even cava on offer. We had free use of the spa but didn’t use this facility so cannot comment. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Third time at the Mac! Definitely the last.Its deteriorated, towels were like bath mats or wripped and frayed. Rooms not cleaned adequately, sheets not changed in 3 days, unopened champagne taken from room! NoToiletries bedroom floors not clean bathroom dirty! Nice hotel with excellent staff, hotel food was not good, not much choice and burned eggs every morning(just turn the hot plate down a little and they wont burn) Check in was excellent and fast although the room area we had asked for over 6 months ago we never got(we got given a poor excuse why we never got our request) Noisy bar area at times with large groups was annoying also when trying to chill. Lots of mosquitos and we both got a large number of bites and i noticed the same on lots of others. Overall id give this hotel 7.5/10

The hotel staff are all very friendly and keen to communicate in any languages spoken by their guests.
The room we had was a good size for two people with a balcony (north facing, therefore rather cold in winter). A fridge with complimentary drinks was provided; this is really useful. I particularly appreciated the good sized wardrobe with proper hangers; this shows that the hotel feels able to trust its guests!
The bathroom was also a good size with enough shelf area for guests to put their toiletries.

The dining room downstairs is bright and pleasant.
The bar area was nice too though it could prove a bit difficult to get served if you just sit at the bar as the bar staff are more busy with the table service.

Food wise- we were on a half board tariff so that both breakfast and evening dinner were provided. Lunch is not available in the dining room and instead there are bar snacks advertised as being available between 12.30 and 15.30 which you could order from the pool area. However, it was not clear where to get the snacks if the weather outside was really bad as then they shut the pool side cafe.

The food in general was plentiful though rather repetitive and more limited than it seemed on first encounter. I call this a triumph of appearance over substance!

My husband and I had stayed here in early 2020 and were impressed then, which is why we returned there this year. We would readily consider returning to the Mac Puerto on our next visit to the Costa del Sol.

This is a fantastic hotel. The staff are all beautifully dressed and very pleasant. The hotel is spotless and every member of staff always welcomes you with a hello and a smile. The hotel dining is second to none with a very wide variety of foods available at the buffet breakfast and dinner. The location is perfect right next to the marina and is excellent for walking along the beach front. The accessibility is perfect for everyone with ramps and elevators. There are plenty of bars in the area if you wish to go out at night. There is entertainment every evening in the hotel so you don't need to go out. If there is a down side which may affect a very few people is that there are no bus stops near the hotel it involves a walk up a hill to get to it. There are however taxis near the hotel and if you ask at reception they will gladly call you a taxi. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and I am already booked up to return in May 2023.

Great location right by the marina and the beach. Lovely friendly staff. The room was large with plenty of storage, the bed a little firm but comfy enough. Bathroom was good but just needed to be a bit careful in the shower which was nice and powerful but temperature fluctuated a lot!
Plenty of choice for breakfast with lovely fresh fruit as well as the usual cereal, yogurt, pastries and bread, Continental meats etc and bacon eggs etc

Lovely hotel, we had a nice room overlooking the marina. Bathroom was a bit dated, with a shower over the bath which was quite awkward to get in and out of. Great pool area with plenty of comfortable sunbeds and a nice outside sitting area. We only had bed and breakfast but very good choice every day. My only negative was the length of time it took to get served in the bar of an evening. Not that the staff were at fault just very understaffed, we did think of getting up and leaving at one point.

Iliked bedrooms and central position. The pool was lovely and tbe hotel was nr beach and bars. The promenade and harbour. The staff were friendly and obliging. On the downside. There was two sittings for dinner. Second sitting stsrted at 8.15pm and we felt very rushed although dinner service was until 10pm by 9.30 staff were cleari g buffet sway and dishes were not replenished at 8.15 there was a stampede. We were with friends and family and would like to have taken our time to enjoy our meal but just had to eat and leave in just over an hours and the stafg grabbed our plates ss soon as we finished each course.could not sit and relax we had to lleave the dining. Breakfasr was better but still rushed.

It's not a four star Hotel. Its a very good 3 star. Rooms are very Clean. Beds are very comfortable. Hotel is old but in good condition. Every staff member we meet were very polite and helpful.
