We were never informed about major works, which we were abruptly woken up by early morning of 7th January 2026. There was NO information about major works, both within the building and by the poolside just outside our apartment. The director, no less, was extremely obnoxious and rude to us, blaming us for complaining. This hotel does Not tell the customer the full information and then blames them , for their own lack of maintenance, etc.

All amenities on sight closed, bar, restaurant and pool and sever building work taking place in all rooms around where allocated. Couldn’t sleep for 2 nights or even be in room in the day as so noisy. Rooms should not be allocated where building work taking place should shut down levels ans corridors

The apartment was clean and spacious. Very modern and we had a front sea view which was lovely. We stayed 4 nights. It is a short walk from the town and the harbour along the promenade. The shower is an overhead shower which is amazing, but one night it kept us awake making a noise so we had to tweak the knob to stop it. We went self catering but there was nothing to wash and dry the crocks so we had to use shower gel and a hand towel or napkins which were there. Otherwise, we couldn’t fault it. We didn’t use any of the amenities so cannot comment on those. There are plenty of shops near by. The staff were friendly and helpful. We paid about €31-32 for a taxi from the airport. For the taxi going back, we asked the reception to book one for us and they said they have a standard price deal with them for which you have to buy a voucher for €25, however when we went to do this they wanted cash which we hadn’t go so we paid the taxi driver directly which cost €21.

We stayed for 5 nights. Paid for room only. It was a good size apartment. Had everything we needed. We are a family of 4 so suited. Only used the room to sleep and to get showered and changed. Hotel had entertainment, buffet restaurant and lots going on around the pool in the day. Staff are fab. Very friendly and helpful. The bar is very expensive so used the local supermarkets to buy beer and drinks to use in the day. We took a cool bag with us to keep it all cold for use around the pool.

Loved this place! Great beachfront location not too far from the marina, the rooms were huge, the pool was loads of fun with great entertainment for adults and children, could always get a sun lounger, and the breakfasts were perfect! Shoutout to the lifeguard too who did a great job.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Beautiful hotel right on the beach and boarwalk with miles of walking. Shops, restaurants are all at your access. The Benalmadena marina is 5min away and unbelievable place to visit, shopand eat.

Great family hotel with so much space, and a ton of options for kids.
The pool is great and also have a kiddy pool.

No parking, but plenty of space around in the streets, if u cannot find parking head to the marina and they have 24hr parking for around 10euros

We would definitely be back, beautiful place

Good location and value for money.

Well located standard hotel. Kitchen area had everything required except a T. Towel! Rooms only cleaned every second day, which seems to be something that’s crept into hotels in last few years. Most people I spoke to had one gripe - long waits for lifts! Not enough of them and small for this size of hotel. Staff pleasant and helpful.

The staff were excellent-special praise for the top ‘socorrista’ (lifeguard) Juan! Such a nice, friendly and helpful guy, but all the pool bar staff, reception team etc couldn’t do enough for you. If I’m honest, the balconies were dark and never got the sun, so it was cold given the time of year, but I still stay the staff made this property. As a lone traveller though, I do like to sit quietly on the balcony sometimes, and it was too cold and shady there.

The hotel is on the promenade and close to benalmádena marina. There are lots of places to eat and drink in the area and the promenade is excellent. There is a mini supermarket in the hotel and lots of shops around.

This was our first time at Sol Apartments, however have previously stayed at other Sol hotels. We really liked having the mini kitchen so we could make coffee in the morning - and the sofa bed trundle in the living room was suitable for a 10 & 13 year old. The pool was lovely, and the the staff were all really friendly and enthusiastic. The buffet was pretty small compared with the hotels, but breakfast was popular with the kids.

My only criticism would be that the room was a little tatty - one of the wall lights was coming off the wall and there was nowhere to hang anything aside from the wardrobe - so wet towels / bathing suits etc were a little tricky!

Sol Timor is a fantastic aparthotel. Excellent facilities all round. A great location on the beach with easy access to Benalmadena marina and along the coast of Torremolinos. The staff are brilliant, especially the entertainment team. There’s plenty going on for children and adults, but no pressure to join in. And times without things happening so lots of time to relax. Loved the live music at the bar at 5pm. So chilled. Reception team we all very helpful and accommodating too. Would thoroughly recommend and we would return another time.

All you need but needs a lick of paint.

This is a perfect complex if you are looking for a no frills and very affordable experience. That is exactly what we want to unwond for a few days and it actually over delivered. The apartment was clean and had a great view but was in need of a small bit of modernisation. The building itself could do with a lick of paint, perhaps white lile the sister property next door just to brighten it up a little. The staff from check in to check out were more than helpful and were all friendly. The pool area is immaculate and the grass seems to be trimmed almost daily, there are plenty of loungers and no shortage of shade either. The emtertainment was quite good and the annimati9n team seemed to work very hard but also seemed very happy with their jobs. We will definitely return again.

False room/bed sizes and not clean

2 Rooms reserved included a king size bed and a sofa bed, and a double with 2 twins. Upon check in, we discovered that the apartments only have twin beds, and have never had king or double beds. This is false advertising. We paid extra for the larger beds. The front desk was sorry but the error was that of Hotels.com.
The rooms were not clean. There was a strong smell of sewerage on the 2nd day. The general areas were nice, and the pool area was nice. Location near the beach was nice. Would not stay there again.

The hotel is in a good location, right on the promenade. It's close to the marina and handy for shops, bars and restaurants. We had a studio. The kitchen is poorly designed as you cannot plug in the kettle or toaster.

Fine for a quick overnight stay. Quite sterile. No parking 😔 even for disabled people? Elevators are too small for mobility scooter. A very small wheelchair would fit. Shower in bathtub so also not accessible, even on request. They have very few.

The hotel is good and right on the beach, the rooms are beautiful however be warned if you get a street facing room, expect no sunshine and freezing cold rooms in winter, I found out the hard way on second night. Also my room was never cleaned for my entire stay even when I put my little sign out to say I would like it to be done, reception apologies but never followed through on that.

It is very austere in appearance. The staff are friendly. The rooms are a reasonable size. The kitchen facilities are basic and limited. The beds are very comfortable (pillows not so much!) The room we were in had broken toilet roll holder and the door to the balcony was old and didnt run well. We were in town for an even so didnt use the bar/ restaurant. The Fat Fajita and FR Omalleys acriss the riad are excellent! - Dont bother renting an iron, you get nothing to iron on and the iron doesnt work well. In all it was OK but in need of repair. We are visiting next year but wont stay there.

It is a will equipped apt in the older block. Needs upgrade, but a lot of renovations going on in other blocks so i am sure that it is a work in progress. Great location stunning views of the sea and lovely promenade very pleasant staff

The property is right next to the beach and we had a glorious view out to sea from our balcony with the sun on it all afternoon. Great breakfast, friendly staff and room/beds/towels cleaned every other day. Only down side is the hotel is a little shabby in places and needs a bit of decorating but still really liked it.

Family of four stayed and the sofa beds are the most uncomfortable beds I have ever put my body on. The madness regarding the sun loungers started atfter 6 am and after 8am you had no chance. The pool does not open to after 11am crazy for a holiday resort. The dinner and breakfast is very bland.

Fantastic location

Took a short break here with my teenage daughter. Stayed in a studio apartment block 3 level 4 with views of the pool and sea. Kitchen was basic but fine for making toast and warming soup. Beds were comfortable. The air conditioning was not that good. We had it on all night and it only just made it down to 24c. Shower gel/ shampoo provided along with a razor and toothbrush.

We never found it a problem to get a sunbed and with the trees and position of the buildings it was usually possible to find a shady area if a parasol was not available. The pool area was clean. Not inflatables allowed which may be disappointing for some children but understandable due to the size of the pool.

The pool bar offered a range of food from 1pm such as pizza burgers pasta etc. Pizza was €7. 400ml heineken €4.50.

A gate operated by your room key leads to the beach and promenade with an array of restaurants and shops including Burger King.

We took a taxi to and from the hotel costing approx €20.

Would not hesitate to return

We have stayed at the Sol Timor quite a few times the main one being its location. It's right on the Paseo de Maritimo where there are bars, shops and restaurants and a 7 minute walk to Puerta Marina where you can find more of the same looking out over the Mediterranean. The food is generally good for a buffet and there's a good activity program. We watched adults and children alike being entertained by races on a vinyl strip across the pool (our balcony looked out over the pool to the sea ) - the staff were great with everybody. Not exactly a young hip crowd, mostly families and older people.
