Pool staff was so friendly, had us in stitches with there silly pool side games around 11 o’clock. Was gutted we missed them on the last day. Hotel was clean and breakfast had great selection. We got taxis to local bars and restaurants so can’t comment on what was a short walk away

Perfect holiday in a brilliant hotel

We arrived 4 hours before check-in. The guy on the desk sorted out a room for us. The room was a good size with a decent size bathroom. Unbelievable views. Breakfast was quality with a brilliant choice. Great bus service outside the hotel.

The hotel offered the full set of setvices and facilities you would expect - no complaints and nothing was too much trouble.
The room we were in had water damaged laminate flooring, though that didn’t effect our holiday.

Avoid this hotel at all costs

Nice first impression at check in but this soon changed with vomitting from eating in the hotel restaurant at breakfast All guests on our booking suffered and reception just dont care for wellbeing of their guests. The only recommendation I have is to book another hotel as your holiday will surely be ruined.

Muy lindo hotel y cómodas camas. La habitacion no estaba muy ventilada, el extractor del baño no funcionaba. Estuvimos una sola noche asi que no importó. No hay muchas opciones de restaurantes a distancia caminable, los que hay son algo caros, pero se puede cenar en el hotel en restaurant buffet a 15 euros por persona. Locacion perfecta para ir a la playa.

From check in the staff were extremely friendly. The rooms were spacious. Good selection of food options in the restaurant with grill cook to order for omlettes & pancakes at breakfast and grill fish, meat for dinner and a wok station. Good drinks service with premium brands part of all inclusive. Rooms and pool and publicareas emaculate. Walking distance to bars, shops, restaurants and on thebeach front. Would highly recommend and visit again.

Excellent facilities and sun beds readily available throughout the day. Pool a little small but minor inconvenience. Manager in dining area was excellent as we had a party member with a nut allergy. He went above and beyond to make sure they were safe. Only downside was that we all came down with a two day sickness and diarrhoea bug apart from the nut allergy member. Medical centre across the road was aware that the hotel may have had a problem and they were monitoring it. Nothing mentioned by the hotel other than hand sanitizer was provided at meal times and gloves were available.

Nice but exterior needs a refresh

Plenty of food choice at each meal sitting. Tea/Coffee and fruit juice only served with breakfast - would have liked non alcoholic drinks included with lunch and dinner (at no ectra cost). Milk for cerals was not cooled. A/C units sometimes dripped onto floor or diners!! Exterior needs a refresh. Reception was roomy with friendly staff - in fact all staff friendly. Lifts are too small and would benefit from a good servicing. Dining room staff very polite - tables cleaned and re-laid quickly. Room was comfy but bed sheets too small for matress so often became untucked. Overall room was comfortable. Would stay again.

Food Poisoning

We stayed for 10 days and initially it was all very pleasant until we all ended up with food poisoning. We found out that at the wok station you add what you like to be cooked on a plate and this includes meat. We found out afterwards that they take the plate, which included raw chicken, they cooked at and then added this back onto the same plate therefore contaminating the food. I raised this with the reception whom initially didn’t believe me and only until I went back down and saw it happening again and raised this in the restaurant they apologised sincerely and were going to raise this with management.

The truth of the matter

This was our second visit to this hotel,although generally overall the hotel was good its now getting dated and could do with a revamp.
The food wasn’t as good as before COVID closed the hotel for the best of 2 years, there was always something to eat and you would never go hungry but they seemed to have cut the themed evening meals out but I don’t think that has happened to this hotel I feel it the same across the whole of Spain and Europe so time will tell

I would have loved a nice lounge upstairs next to reception. Somewhere where you would like to have a drink/cocktail before and after your evening meal. The bar area downstairs was uninviting on an evening. It lacked atmosphere, it was cold and not a place to relax. The staff however did a marvellous job. They were efficent, friendly under some trying conditions. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, but go out on an evening 💕

3.5 star hotel at best.

This is a dated hotel with great potential. I would argue that it is a 4* hotel. The food is good though.
What the Hotels.com website doesn’t tell you:
1. The gym only opens 1000-1400 and 1500-1830.
2. The gym is closed on Sundays
3. The lifts are slow and unreliable so be prepared to use the stairs.
4. If you want a kettle you have to hire it for €2.40 per day.
5. If you want to use the jacuzzi or sauna/steam room there’s an additional charge of €10 per day
6. They have VIP sun loungers and Bali beds that cost an extra €20 per day…that are right next to the kids pool, so never get used.
7. You can use the iron, for a €10 deposit, but they don’t have ironing boards.
8. There are no drinks included with dinner, not even a water, tea or coffee.
9. Your key card will demagnetise every other day.
10. The ‘bar’ looks like a community centre.
11. The room and bedding will smell musty. I had to buy drain cleaner and air fresheners.

Such a shame as the location for bars, restaurants, beaches and public transport is great.

As we entered the lobby we were quite surprised bu the beautiful architecture, design and overall pleasing entrance. The clerks were very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. Activities for the kids was also a positive. The down side is the room we stayed was a bit outdated and could use a new color, furniture, and overall up keep. I would stay there again however and recommend anyone to stay there.

Childrens Animation Team went above and beyond to keep the children entertained. Aziz (waiter in restaurant) exceptional service and always so helpful and pleasant). Food needs to be warmer and for a 4* Hotel I would have expected them to use better cuts of meat (which was often tough and fattty).

There is absolutely no staff presence, personality or character. Arrival is a complete non event and rude. The food is pretty attrocious as it is set in the 1980s with canned vegetables, baked beans and hot lights so old that the food is cold. The food was so poor that nothing whatsoever was of interest to eat and so we ate out all the time and simply used the hotel as a bed and base to sun bathe. In need of some serious changes, renovation and management to bring it up to the 21st century. Sadly it felt like a complete wast of money.

We love the view from the pool area of the property and its views towards Benalmadena. The hotel public areas are spacious. Maybe it is time for an update in the bedrooms, decor and soft furnishings are getting a little tired.

Was a little far away from main town area. Benalmádena doesnt have a lot to offer for older people and as our weather wasnt good we ended up struggling to stay at the resort. This hotel is a typical Spanish 4 star property. There were a lot of Spanish staying as it was Easter holidays. The entertainment was mostly in Spanish.

Bedrooms are a good size and comfortable. Right beside a great beach which is where we spent most of our days due to music being played constantly by the pool. The location is great being right beside the seafront and a short taxi ride to the centre. So a quieter location at night. Didn't like the bad smell at the entrance, the bins may have been behind a wall but you could not miss the smell. The pools are small, so it was ideal as an autumn break, when the hotel was not so busy, I can imagine the pool being very busy in he height of summer.

In a lovely setting practically on the beach. A good sunbathing area around the pools, looking out to sea. The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious. Plenty of wardrobe space . Very comfortable beds. Spotlessly clean. Balcony with table and chairs and a sea view. Good breakfast, plenty of choice. The restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly. A lovely weekend stay ! I would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

The only improvement I can suggest would be to provide coffee and tea making facilities in the room.

Best all inclusive in Benalmadena

Great hotel. I'm aged 47 female and went with my mate. The rooms are massive with 2 x double beds. 10 euro deposit for a beach towel. Big Jacuzzi pool which was fab. We went all inclusive and bar opened until midnight for this. Well worth it as food was fab. Evening entertainment wasn't too great but the oldies enjoyed it. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel needs updating!

We chose the hotel for the location. Also the price for a four star(?) with breakfast and dinner option seemed like a great deal. The best part of this hotel was the ocean view balcony. Everything else was not to par. Abandoned Bar on ground floor. Dining room was like a cafeteria . Outdated and food mediocre. Rooms need updating with new linens and pillows. Carpeting in hallways stained and old.
Hotel has potential but not being utilized.

Definetly not a FOUR star! What a disappointment!
Let's start with the appearance or lack of. Very 80s decor... old carpets and old furniture!
The elevators are very very slow! The dining room is like a cafeteria with employees that just want to rush you and get out! We struggled to get beach towels and the bar downstairs really needs a major facelift! Now onto the room... needs major facelift and updated bedding. No coffee machines.
The positive it's a large room with large bathroom!
The room has a great balcony with a great view 😘! The biggest plus and only plus of this property!

Good location, not 4 start hotel quality

I have stayed recently at the hotel and well… It was OK.

Aspects to be improved:

-General cleaning of the hotel – mainly swimming pool area
-Room cleaning – a few days I could see the room floor wasn’t clean but the bed was made(I could guess the hotel doesn’t have enough staff to do this.)
-Hire more chambermaids and more waiters for the restaurant: I saw majority of staff at the restaurant running during service. Not enough staff for the quantity of people they had. But even running, they were lovely waiters and chefs.
-It isn’t allowed to dive in the swimming pool. There was so many people diving all day and the lifeguard didn’t say a word. Rules for what then?!

I know the hotel is classified as 4 stars but I would say it doesn’t have 4 stars service.

I have been in another hotel of the same hotel chain which was a 4 star hotel and it was so much better, compared with this one. Even the general aspect of the hotel, cleaning, was so much better.
Hopefully the hotel will be refurbished soon.

Location: great! 3 buses available outside of the hotel.

The Best Benalmadena was great, 2 big double comfortable beds, nice size bedroom, massive sunny terrace with sea view, and lovely big bathroom. The only thing that was missing was a coffee machine/kettle in the room, however there was a small fridge which was handy. The hotel is clean, great pool area and sun loungers. The reception staff weren't great, they looked miserable and were not overly helpful. I would recommend the hotel.

Air conditoning useless at night on the 11th floor

We stayed recently. October. We were on the 11th floor. Room 1106. Views lovely but air conditioning at night was almost useless. Had to have the door open all night to get any air but that meant we could hear all the road noise. Very very disappointed.

we booked last minute and overall were very pleased . We found the staff friendly and accommodating . The room was airy and clean . The poolside view is spectacular . The only disappointment was that the room was listed as a 'sea view' and the main view from our room was of a road . You could see the sea between buildings , and I can see that others in the hotel would have a beautiful view from their rooms , but sadly not from our room .I think it should not have been listed as 'sea view 'from this particular room .

Had a brilliant 8 days in beautiful hotel, in good location overlooking the sea. Food was excellent. Ticked all boxes, except..........1. Restaurant staff were mostly very friendly, but..........reception staff very disappointing - I had customer contact with 3 different reception staff members, and they were all very unfriendly, and didn't seem very interested in providing top class customer service, even a smile! Strange, for a hotel that is 4 star in so many other ways! 2. In comparison to other hotels, only 1 English speaking TV channel - CNN!

Beautiful Sea View

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights with a friend. Two double bed provided, nice size room and bathroom Could have done with some drawers to put away clothes but other than that the room was nice and it backed onto the sea.
Quite happy with the hotel and location. Food was very good and varied. Lots of things cooked to order on the hot plate. The all inclusive drinks were good quality and generous measures. We had no trouble getting sun beds, but the pool area would be more crowded later in summer months.
The only downside was the evening entertainment which was very basic and dated. The area to sit in is dull and not very inviting to spend the evening in.
The area is beautiful with a lovely Mariner and we also saw a few wedding parties so is obviously an ideal spot.

Good hotel on the beach

The hotel is quite old and feels dated but clean and well maintained. It is located among other resorts, a bit outside the center of Benalmadena, so if you want to enjoy bars and restaurants you should be prepared for a long walk. The staff was very nice and helpful. There was free parking across the street which was nice. The room was big and comfy with a nice terrace with wonderful sea views. We had selected half-board and while the breakfast was good, the dinner buffet was not good despite the big selection. Overall a nice resort hotel in need of some modernization.

In general very tired. Evening entertainment not very good. Entertainment venue within the hotel very poor. Shortage of bar staff. Food, breakfast good evening meal only just ok. Same soup choice offered five nights out of seven.ur.Desserts pretty much the same each day.Lunch time snacks choice and presentation abmysal. No background music anywhere bar in lobbie area remained closed. Internet poor signal and insecure advised not to use by internet security companies. Despite advertised as having air conditioning this was not available despite very high temperatures. Definitely not a 4 star hotel, would be hard pressed to give it 3 stars.

Very unsatisfactory for a 4 star hotel, far better 4 star hotels in Marbella for same rate.

Very nice spotless hotel would definitely stay \nag

We were pleasantly surprised with our room lovely wood floors spotless everywhere.

Beautiful view from the balcony.

Bathroom as new.

Everything we could have wanted!

We booked a last minute holiday (less than a week before we travelled) and were not disappointed. We had a lovely room, spacious and very comfortable, and a balcony with a stunning view of the Mediterranean! Breakfast was very good every morning. A real variety of food was on offer every day. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel

Lovely big room with sea views and right next to the beach! Parking available at only €6 a night too.
Only downside was wifi not very good but free so can't complain too much!

Problems with stay

Very Poor internet service in room, lobby service just as bad, pool towel deposit extreme, no ice available, you have to pay for the use of the in room safe, AC did not work had to call maintenance, had to pay up front for everything, no direct beach access, hotel was in poor repair. Elevator service slow. Soap was so cheap it stunk worse that BO. Had to buy own and bring in.

Excellent all round hotel

Very good facilities and good bars and restaurants opposite. Only a bus ride down to all the other bars etc....and great bars in the beach front opposite the 'flag' roundabout. Try the rodeo steak house...

quiet and peaceful getaway

perfect and enjoyable stay at this hotel,, the location of the hotel is set on the beach front, it is approx 30 minuets walk from the marine ,, buses run every 15 mins from outside the hotel for a small charge of 1.55 euro, .the rooms are spacious with a spectacular view, ( request a sea view they are happy to accommodate ) my stay was full board there is plenty of choice of hot and cold food,the staff were always happy to help ,, the excursion to gibraltar is recommended ,,( spend your sterling it works out a lot cheaper than spending euros and book through the travel agents that are on the main road side that works out cheaper too , ) i would be happy to stay here again,

We stayed at the best hotel in june and found it really good value for money. This Time towards the end of the kids holidays it was the opposite. que for twenty meters just to get in the dining room, no sun beds, pool looked like the filters could not cope with the amount of sun cream off the people in there. very shallow and on average around 2-3 foot of personal space in the pool no chance of swimming. reception always had a Que., and the food in the buffet was lacking inspiration (but edible) your room key expires at 12am after that you can't use any of the facilities, or get in or out of the place. It is not by any means a bad hotel, its just not very relaxing during the busy holidays. after this experience i would not return but i know they can do better.
