if you are German and like to drink lager until 5 am and chant football songs all night - this is the place for you… and they didn’t even have a game on in the World Cup.

If not - avoid.

The area around the hotel makes San Antonio and Magaluf look upmarket.

The reception staff were excellent but you feel sorry for them.. The same applies to the catering staff.

The bar staff were, however. disorganized but probably down to the endless beer being served to the guests - some of whom drinking from within the small pool.

There are far better places on the wonderful island of Mallorca. Thankfully, we also stayed on the east coast on our trip - which, in contrast, was amazing.

On the plus side, this hotel is only 12 mins from the airport.

Front desk staff were exceptional. Assisted us with any and all local inquiries. The rest of staff were extremely pleasant and friendly at all times.

The room was clean and comfortable with a fantastic view. Only one complaint is that there was no dresser to put clothes away. For our 5 day stay, the closet was insufficient.

The breakfast was fantastic with many options to choose from

This hotel was outstanding - food, variety and quality is 5* amazing - so much elegant, tasty food with unbelievable variety from every corner of world and each dish beyond perfect, so well cooked in beatiful buffet dining room with waiter service for drinks - variety of seats and tables and views all very elegant. Staff were excellent, so nice, friendly and mannerlt - couldn’t do enough for you. Hotel was beautifully furnished and appointed, lovely decor. Spotlessly clean and so well maintained. Beautiful Italian and Mexican/Spanish restaurants/cocktail bars attached to hotel. Hotel so well appointed with variety of elegant pools outdoor and indoor and spa/gym facilities, fake turf sun decks a great touch. Many beautiful lounges to relax in with a wide variety of beautiful coffee table books, pieces of art, high end magazines and board games to choose from. Hotel is on the beach, so 50 steps and on sand and in sea 🌞 An amazing hotel, so din’t go elsewhere in Plata de Palma

A fabulous hotel, we had room 508, amazing sea views, loads of space. Right across from the beach, wonderful staff, so friendly and welcoming. We went half board and the food was delicious. Got free entry to the beach bar next door on Thursdays, well worth a visit. Book this hotel! It's the perfect spot!!

Upon check in we received a free upgrade to a junior suite from our original sea side view.
The junior suite had 2 balconies. One had the full sea side view and the other has a partial sea side view and partial view. The distance to the beach was exceptionally close. The hotel's outdoor pool was more than adequate. There were extra loungers.
The half board's 2 daily buffets were excellent.
The morning buffet didn't change its food options but when there are a ton of food options no complaints there. The dinner buffet rotated with changing food options. There was a suggestion box for dinner options and they listened to a few of the suggestions.
We didn't use the hotel's spa.

The air conditioning worked very well.

The location of the hotel is close to the German party area. It can get loud in the evenings.

We had a wonderful stay at Playa Golf. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is ideal – the beach is less than a minute’s walk, and the pool is spotless and relaxing.

The only small issue we had was with housekeeping. Even though we put the sign on the door and asked the cleaning lady to clean the room, it was overlooked.

Other than that, everything was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back!

Cockroach fell into our bed at 3am!!! This was the 2nd night. From that point we had the blast the AC and keep all lights on every single night to make sure we don’t get more of them. I also saw two more running around the hotel.

The area is also brutal. Packed with drunk Germans constantly shouting, chanting yelling and being extremely obnoxious.

I stayed at the Playa Golf hotel with my partner for four nights. The hotel is gorgeous, clean, bright and spacious. The room was great with a nice balcony facing the pool and the sea. The pool area was clean and organized, as well as the gym and spa. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. The breakfast buffet is just magic, everything you can ask for is there.
The area is surrounded by German tourists and locals which can be quite loud, but overall our experience was wonderful and relaxing!

This area is horrible. It is so loud all the time. So many people partying late into the early morning hours. We were kept awake until 4-5 am each night. Earplugs do not help. The whole area is party central. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, dont stay here or in the area. Ruined the holiday.

Really nice pool area and rooms were decent but our room was in the road side and it was so noisy and just full of very loud German people as it’s seems to be the area that’s basically little Germany with German bars and food. There were people shouting and all hours of the morning so sleep was hard. Hotel room and the hotel were spotless though.

This was my first time visiting Palma and I can say for certain that this is my new go-to hotel for future visits. I will say it is slightly pricey for food/drinks/buffet etc, but the quality and service you get for it balances this out - definitely getting what you pay for. The area itself does have a musical vibe to it but come 23:00/23:30, lights are out and music is off - everyone is very respectful.

The hotel was a great stay, the weather wasn’t great in April but the hotel had an inside pool which we used quite a few times during our stay, staff across the hotel were very friendly and welcoming, the food was amazing and fresh. Location was very close to party areas, beach, bars and restaurants you can also catch the bus for €2 to palma central (only cash) or even the mall. The only downfall for some can maybe be for light sleepers but I believe you find this across Mallorca, although this wasn’t the case for us you can hear those next door so I wouldn’t imagine on high season other than this we would definitely come back during low season.

Lovely stay during low season. There’s an indoor spa (indoor lounge pool, sauna, steam room and Turkish steam room). Bfast included was your typical continental buffet. Customer service was nice, got an upgrade. Decent pool outside but not deep enough for a proper swim. Door leads outdoor to the beach.

Overall the hotel was nice. Rooms are a bit dated and could do with some attention. We had a broken floor tile, the bathroom had a constant bad odour from the shower area. We had a family room which was very spacious however, considering the size of room it had 1 available plug socket. For a family this was disappointing as there were 3 of us fighting over 1 socket!!
The variety of buffet was good. Bit disappointing that half board didnt include soft drinks for the evening meal, prices were shocking and over inflated...who charges over 5 euros for orange juice?!
I didnt find the reception staff very friendly, not sure if it was a language barrier issue but most of them were not welcoming apart from Cristina, she was lovely.
Location is great, but getting the number 25 bus into Palma centre was a nightmare. Crammed and overloaded with passengers any time we tried to get in and out.
Great to have a spa available to use, steam room and sauna was a bonus.
Price wise we got what we paid for, its an adequate 4 star hotel.

Location is unique- really lovely if you reserve a sea view room. Our view was incredible. However, being first line to the seafront, it was rather busy all night long. No problem with closed balcony doors at night, but the AC season starts only in two weeks, so the room was a bit warm for our likening, but the superb view during the day compensated for it.

Nice hotel. Initially, we were given a room were it flowed from ceiling. After a few calls the room was changed but the sediment remained. Outside is noisy. If you get a room with a city view, most probably you will hear everything.
The breakfast is perfect and the staff is very friendly everywhere. Overall it was a perfect stay.

From the ladies at the front desk, to Antonio, Sandra, Vivi and the housekeepers everything was fantastic. The pool was well kept and the service top notch. Only regret is the area was too touristy and the German presence was overbearing. Beautiful island. Will be back. Would not recommend Limon yours for anything. The time spent on the bus and the total hours of the trip were well over hours. Not well planned out. Waste of a day.

Upon check-in they told us we had free dinner but we didn't when we got to the dining room so that was a little bit embarrassing. The shower head kept hitting the ceiling so you had to hold the shower head to shower. I told reception and they said they would send somebody to fix it but nobody came. I told them again the next day and they finally fixed it but it was our last. My girlfriend and I also got questioned by security when we came back to the hotel at night with a friend. It was very uncomfortable. They wanted him to pay 55 Euro to come up to the room even though he had no plans to stay. We faced the side of the street by the Beirkonig and it was so loud I couldn't sleep and despite everything they still charged us 40 euro for late checkout. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again. The blonde at the front desk wasn't overly friendly either

Lovely ! A little far from Palma (20minute taxi drive) and in the middle of the party district, but it's the perfect middle point between all the different beaches and the city (Es Trenc 40mins by taxi, Cala Blava 10-15mins). The staff is fantastic, the rooms with the balconies are perfectly clean and comfortable, the adult pool is calm and beautiful, and their restaurant \"Little Italy\" is amazing. Their desserts are especially worth trying, and you've got a ton of Spars and other grocery stores a stone's throw away.

I did not enjoy my stay at Playa Golf. The staff were incredibly unfriendly and rude, the rooms were not clean and by no means reflective of a 4 star rating. The gym was dirty and had such limited equipment. The only redeeming quality was the breakfasts. I would not stay here again or recommend it to someone else.

Ideal for German People

It is a very German peoples hotel. The TV is mostly in German Language and when people greet you the first language is German. This was difficult because of our lack of German Speaking but the people were lovely and friendly. We had a double room (2 single beds) and we found the beds to be uncomfortable. The Air-Con also didn’t work so we slept with the terrace door open all night. However, the Hotel is Beautiful. The staff are very friendly and nice, the pools and the amenities are amazing and it’s right across from the beach. The breakfast and Dinner options are incredible. I’ve never been to a hotel before with such options.

Situation is pretty close to everything ! We stayed for 4 nights and managed to see most sides of the island. Parking is farely easy if you come by car.

A great hotel in the middle of party central

Hotel Playa Golf is a very nice hotel! The staff is excellent, and the service, especially the breakfast, is very good.

It is at the crossroads of the \"party district\". Everybody should have a good time on vacation, but when one person, or group's \"good time\" makes it difficult to sleep at 4AM, it becomes a problem. The drunken revelry seemed to go on 24 hours a day. It is not the fault of the hotel, or even the guests that were there when I was, it is the location...

Check in okay but never given directions to room but once in was disappointed,clean but very basic,outlook from balcony was onto the back of the next building,could see the sea if I lent over the railing, the double bed was two singles and bove were seriously uncomfortable and the pillows terrible,never had a good nights sleep,the rooms are advertised as soundproof in which they are not,whenever i was in the room I could hear my neighbours and doors slamming 24/7,TV is mostly German stations and not worth having in the room,the hotel needs to invest in a more open satellite channels as when the weather was bad there is nothing to do in the hotel apart from the spa which is nice but very small so would be nice to have some TV entertainment,to get to the beach you have a choice of which restaurant you want to walk through which is a bit strange and you have to walk through the hotel bar to get to the swimming pools and spa,to eat in the hotel restaurant in the evening I was told I could not wear shorts so was not allowed in wearing tailored shorts and a polo shirt but other guests were eating in jeans and tee shirts,again very strange, overall very disappointing.

Great Value For Money

When searching through Expedia, this hotel was amongst the cheapest options and I must say it is a great value for money. The half board service is very good offering buffet breakfast and dinner. We also opted for a double room with balcony and sea view which was quite worth it. The staff was friendly and catered to all of our needs. Fortunately the hotel was connected to two reasonably priced restaurants and on a strip of beach near many other restaurants and stores.

The hotel is located in nice location near by the beach. The room with the sea view is really cool. Airport is 15 mins away by bus (No 21) €5 each. Bus No 15 & 25 to Palma city centre €1.50 each. 20 to 45 mins depend on the bus. 25 is express and more quicker. Also near by the restaurant and some supermarkets. Breakfast are so good and absolutely high quality.

Sadly no where did you say this hotel is located in the heart of party land for the Germans, the reason we did not go to magaluf was to avoid the party scene with the English and Playa de golf hotel is just across the road from a 22 hour a day German drinking ( what can only be described as a tin warehouse ).
Nationality does not bother me, but we booked with a child and you should put a message up regarding this, Even the receptionists agree its not a family 4 star. 3 family's moved whilst we were there.

The hotel was lovely but some of the staff were quite rude. They expect you all to speak German and the hotel was full of obnoxiously rude German couples/families. There was hardly any English people in the hotel or surrounding area. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to stay for English families in August. The hotel was lovely though. Really clean and the food at the restaurant outside was amazing.

The hotel is beautiful with great access to restaurants, bars, the beach and transportation. The staff especially the front desk agent Nicole were amazing. Nicole, specifically, went over and beyond to ensure I had a great honeymoon and provided us with a lot of information on activities/tours to do in Mallorca. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Highlights:
Nicole from the front desk- extremely professional, knowledgeable and spoke great English which was a plus.
Rooms- very nice and the ocean view rooms have amazing views!
Food- we had breakfast included with our package and it was by far the best spread we've experienced from fresh fruit, baked croissants, omelette bar, champagne and a beautiful honeycomb every morning.

Not too comfortable for the price you pay.

The hotel has a lot of facilities, it is close to the beach, to vary types of restaurants and bars. However the location of the hotel in the summer time is inside of the parties, which means the noise will be almost 24h. Although the hotel has an adult pool with a sign, they allow children with parents. They do not offer double bed, they allocate 2 twin beds together, unfortunately I could not sleep well.
I was very upset when I found out that I needed to pay £2 daily to use the safe box in the room.
I have paid the upgrade direct to the hotel in order to get a better view, which helped a lot. However the room had the toilet and shower room inside of the room, only a glass door to separate both areas, which makes the room hot and the smell can be spreaded.
I was very happy that the receptionist provided us a room to take a quick shower after our check out. I was very grateful.

Lovely hotel, fantastic location overlooking the beach and within easy reach of Palma and the airport. Staff very helpful and friendly. Two outdoor pools looked lovely but unfortunately not heated & too cold to try. Only disappointment was the indoor pool, bit small and in need of updating and wifi a bit intermittent. Breakfast was great selection. I would definitely visit again.

Lovely hotel, but...

Lovely hotel, although the food is catered to the numerous German guests rather than the taste of Spain that we were after. In terms of nightlife this area was surprisingly dead. The room was nice enough although we were given two singles rather than the double as requested. I'd definitely recommend this hotel, although the neighbouring construction works were somewhat annoying and should probably have been noted prior to booking.

Nice hotel, unfortunately it was a strange surprise that even though dinner was included in our package, the drinks were not, not even water, but they offered prosecco for breakfast?! Weird.

I hadn't planned on a holiday to Germany!

The hotel was lovely & modern, very clean, great facilities but the beds were TERRIBLE! We even put the spare duvets on top of the mattress, just to try & make the Mattress slightly more comfortable. The most disappointing bit of the holiday was the sheer amount of Germans in the hotel & around the resort or Playa de Palma. We were addressed by hotel staff in German, the tourist information section (which we stumbled upon ourselves) had NO English tourist information, but had several books in German, Dutch, French etc. The newspapers available in the hotel were German. My boyfriend was very ill on one day & stayed in bed, he had a choice of 3 English TV channels (all news channels) compared to over 15 German channels. The whole resort was FULL of Germans, to the sheer exclusion of all other nationalities. We had to travel 15 minutes on the local tourist train each evening to try & find something that resembled a Spanish taverna. Within walking distance of the hotel, it was like being in Germany, with German music, german beer, German menus. Even the 'lookey-looked men' spoke to us in German. The beach was beautiful...apart from the German boom-box music blaring out from speakers every 20 metres, as each group of Germans decided to play their own party music. There was ZERO chance of peacefully listening to the waves! The hotel gave us a parting gift, a discount voucher for our next trip... in German, even though we're from Ireland & speak English. So disappointing.

The hotel as a whole was good, the maintenance and cleaning by the cleaners was very well done.
However, due to the loud noise created by the party section and the noises made by other clients in their room, the hotel should invest in better insulation as the noise was unbearable, which made us move rooms.
When looking at the previous reviews when booking this hotel for the summer, no comments were made about how we situated on the party strip (e,g Magaluf but for the young adults from Germany) and this was shocking for us when we first arrived as we had no notion of this.
Apart from this, the hotel is very good, the staff are very nice and welcoming and the food served at breakfast and dinner was excellent.
We recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys the party scene or those who enjoy staying in the hotel and doing outdoor adventures on the outskirts of the location.

Stayed for a week in August with my son and 4 year old son.

The hotel has a great photographer because the pics on the website make it look stunning - it's not. It's nice but not stunning.

Pros:
*Near airport
*Only 1.5 Euros in bus to Palma
*Nice pools
*Excellent food in restaurant (we were half board - guys be warned you have to wear trousers and shoes at night!) Staff lovely in restaurant.
*Rooms basic but very clean every day.

Cons:
*The hotel is essentially in the centre of the German version of Magaluf (lots of hangovers / drunk people / singing late into night)
*Race for sun loungers in morning - be up early! (it's a 10 Euro deposit for pool towels)
*My son loved it - but it wasn't that family friendly
*Staff at pool bar rathe moody
*Lots of hidden costs - wifi (pay per device), safe in room

To sum up - it's nice, but if you've got kids or want some peace and quiet I'd go somewhere else!

Very nice hotel, the beach just a few minutes

The hotel is lovely, clean, the stuff very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious, it was very pleasant experience, I will come back again definitely. Keep the standard!!!

Hotel next to the beach

If you were 10 years younger than us an didn't have a family then maybe this would appeal. However for us it just didn't work, throngs of party goers all day and all night long. The walls in the rooms were paper thin so you could hear your neighbours every word, the noise in the corridors went on all night and the constant banging of hotel doors. Outside the club music and sheer volume of people shouting and chanting all night was horrendous. The hotel itself was OK but again if it wasn't in full mid season I think our view of it would have been better. Long wait for anything and staff just generally very busy and didn't have the time to give great service.

I would not go back here again.

The hotel was ok, but nothing like the pictures o the web site. The rooms were small and dated. The Hotel windows let all the noise in, It is a very lively area where I understand German stag parties attend. We did not venture out of the hotel in the evening which was a shame, we did not feel safe.

Wonder Stay -

From the moment we arrived until we left we were treated extremely well. We came to the hotel about 9:30 p.m. the room was upgraded and wifi was included. For our daughter 5, it was late a bit late to go out for dinner and we were pondering what to do...knock at the door with a light dinner, fruit and drinks. From then on we were so pleased on the hospitality, food, location and cleanliness of the entire hotel - even the lifeguard was sweeping up along the walkway to the beach. Our stay was such a treat our family really enjoyed our stay and it was hard to leave! We look forward to visiting again.

great Hotel but felt like we were in Germany

The hotel was faultless. The only thing to be said its in the middle of a German resort. Hardly any Tapas restaurants just lots of german food and strip clubs. If you want the real Palma we suggest being Palma side of the Aquarium. There are busses right outside the hotel to take you to Palma or you can cycle along the coast path.

A very enjoyable stay but could have been even bet

We had a very enjoyable stay at that Playa Golf.The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food very good, and the staff very pleasant and obliging. We have stayed in a number of 4* hotels in Playa de Palma and this is by far the best.
On the negative side, we asked for high floor rooms, quiet with a nice view, but got low floor rooms right next to a noisy road. The hotel was only about half full, and better rooms to meet some of our requests would not have been unreasonable. Also there was not one engish channel tuned in on the tvs, yet there were 22 channels for the Germans to enjoy.

Amazing stay

My stay at the Playa Golf hotel was amazing. The staff was friend and helpful. They spoke English, Spanish and German. The room was clean, quite and comfortable. They were also able to book us the most amazing two hour horseback ride through the Forrest. Best trip ever. Loved the beach view.

Die Zimmer könnten nochmal aufgewertet werden. Im Bad roch es sehr streng nach Abfluss. Der Spiegel setzte unten grünspahn an. In der Dusche war die Dichtungsfuge undicht, das Wasser lief durch das Bad, im Flur löste sich dadurch eine Holuleiste. Personal sehr freundlich. Frühstück und Abendessen hervorragend. Unser Zimmer war mit Strandblick top.
