Hotel communal areas were great. Lovely and clean throughout. Extra cost wasn't aware of included ndoor pool charge to use, needed a swim hat to use indoor pool or buy one if didn't bring and kids club usage charges if not on all inclusive basis
Hotel room was clean and tidy but had some DIY issues like loose door handles and light fittings. Was also a leak coming through bathroom Ceiling. Logged it and they came quickly to try to resolve sadly the leak despite being resolved still occurred.

Lots of space with separate bedroom and lounge area .Also a large terrace balcony.Staff were pleasant.
But …..the whole building is cold ….there is no heating at all ,only in the shop.Staying in December was a mistake as this hotel has used a lot of glass in the construction and has marble floors .Heating in the room was just adequate but I had to buy a thick jumper and slippers. The dining room was cold and cold plates for the hot food !!!
It’s a long way from anywhere….lots of walking ,taxis and buses.Also it is next to a train track so quite noisy. This hotel really shouldn’t be open in the winter, indeed the Holiday World hotel next door was closed.

The room was amazing. The food buffé was really good, many options were available. Overall very clean hotel and rooms. My toddler loved the kids club and had wonderful time there.
The spa was a bit expensive for a 1 hour stay, no shampoo or conditioner inside the spa. The gym had a limited number of equipment

We must have been palmed off with the worst room in the hotel, room 338. We would have had it changed but as we were staying 1 night and arrived at 6pm it wasn’t worth the hassle.
Food was pretty good at breakfast and dinner.

The beachfront view was nice and rooms were clean but we had to ask everyday to get new towels. It would be nice if they had more food variety or the two restaurants opened that they had onsite. Only other thing was one of the older souvenir shops employees was slightly rude to my daughter. Other then that great experience!

The food was good and decent for a buffet. Everything was clean all the time, service desk was kind and talked in 3 languages.
The room was spacious and we really loved that it has a closed bedroom and a kitchen. We traveled with a 4 years old and this was perfect for us. We rented a car and never had any issue with parking.

Our room was spacious for a family of 4 and the main bed was super comfy. However, the sofa bed was awful. The fold-out mattress was super thin you could feel the springs so wouldn't recommend using it, or only for 1 person. It was handy having a kitchenette although having a kettle would've helped! On arrival our air con wasn't working but wihtin the hour, a maintenance member of the team came and fixed it and it worked well for the duration. The shower is really powerful but is fixed directly above your head and there's nowhere else for you to move. There is also a lack of hanging space or shelving in the bathroom - the shelf in the shower was hanging off so all shower items had to sit on the floor, and there was only 1 hook for a towel. Please install more hooks - shelves.
Other than that, we had a great time. The food was plentiful and a good variety with a different themed night each night. For the kids I would've expected to see chicken nuggets, but there were only burgers or hot dogs.
The pools are spotless and the kids entertainment team did a good job at keeping everyone entertained.

Bad cleaning

The room had filthy floor when we first got in to the room and they never cleaned it during our stay either. When we wanted them to change our towels and put them on the floor we notice that the same towels were hung up again. And that was after we even talked to the cleaners and asked them nicely to change.

The other sevices were good and the restaurant staff really lived up to our expectations. We have a glutenintolerant girl and we always got good help with what she could and could not eat.

It’s a very nice resort. The rooms are huge with terrace and sea/pool view from the 4th floor we stated at. Pool is big and there is entertainment going on. The sea is dar to walk to, gym is very small. The area is huge and it’s decorated nicely. There is turtle spot, a bird spot, and the fountains. Food in the buffet restaurant is pretty dissent with variety. Overall great 4 days spent, I would return

We recently stayed at the Polynesia Hotel in Malaga and were impressed by several aspects of the experience. The hotel itself is stunning—beautiful architecture, very well maintained, and extremely clean throughout. The rooms are absolutely huge and spotless, providing a really comfortable space to relax in. The main pool is lovely and well-kept, though it's worth noting that the other pools you often see advertised are actually part of the wider complex across several hotels. These are spread out over five buildings and a very hilly area, although a free shuttle bus is available to help guests get around.

The food was outstanding—great variety, excellent quality, and well-organised service in the restaurants. However, the entertainment was a major disappointment. For a hotel with 328 rooms, there is only one entertainment room in the evening for all guests. This space is shared by everyone, including families with young children, meaning there's no separate adults-only area if you're looking for a quieter experience. Entertainment consisted mostly of the same singer each night, with some variety acts on the weekend—but only for an hour or so. There was also no kids' club in operation during our stay, which left both children and adults bored in the evenings.

Another issue was the complete lack of information in the rooms—no welcome booklet, no guidance on local transport (like bus times), hotel facilities, or entertainment. You’re left to figure everything out for yourself

Absolutely stunning hotel.
It’s worth noting that some facilities are only open in the summer season. The outdoor pool is open from April onwards and they have a kids’ pool but it’s not well signposted. The indoor pool costs extra as it’s part of the spa but it’s sooooo good.
The kids’ club doesn’t allow adults to stay and my 3-year-old didn’t enjoy it for that reason. Older kids will enjoy it.

Formule all inclusive sommaire car 2 restaurants étaient fermé donc uniquement buffet. Les cocktails sont fait a l'avance et beaucoup trop sucré et mal dosés...la chambre est usé par rapport au photos, l'accès à l'aquaparc est super loin et un grosse côte à monter, pas d'accès direct a la plage 1km a faire a pied...le restaurant buffet est bruyant ça crie et ça court vers les buffets dans tous les sens c'est vraiment....horrible...enfin l'environnement est très bétonné peu d'espace vert.

It took over 20 minutes to check
In, we weren’t allowed to upgrade to all inclusive, my credit card details were written on a piece of paper (terrible security risk) and we were charged a fortune for a paper cup of beer which was only 3/4 full (fine if you’re all inclusive and can refill but paying resort prices should be a glass and a full drink!) the property is also in need of some upgrades/renovations.

A week spent with a family early April 2024

We traveled with our two children, aged 8 and 2. Despite our second child almost turning 3, the indoor playground had a strict age limit of 3 years old and above. The weather during the first few nights was rainy and cold, and when we asked for entertainment options suitable for a two-year-old, the staff seemed unsure.There was only one large, unheated outdoor pool, which felt freezing cold for this time of year. Additionally, the indoor pool with a spa was not included in the all-inclusive package and required extra payment, but even that water was not very warm.Although the food was okay and the staff were friendly, overall, it was a pleasant but short stay, and we don't plan to return.

Our stay was amazing! The resort is remote but there are cabs which are easily ordered at reception which can take you into town. The facilities in the hotels were incredible and the entertainment was some of the best I have seen in a hotel. The fact that you could chose between 3 very different acts each night was great! Our room was also very clean and big with plenty of space for 4 people and there was only 2 of us! Thank you so much for an amazing holiday!

Don’t believe that all that is listed in the description is available at the actual hotel.

I.e. we seen that from listing that it had a Lazy River, this was actually located at the beach club a short shuttle away. You can not buy a dingy you have to rent @ €10 €10 deposit each per day for a few hours only.

The room was not as modern as we thought from the pictures the Wi-Fi was not working and in our room and staff couldn’t care when reported.

We actually thought paying extra for seaview suite with terrace would include at least sun lounges but no it didn’t.

The maids would only leave 2 towels on days unless asked to leave 4. The pillows where very uncomfortable only providing 1 long pillow per bed.

The pull out bed was uncomfortable for our teenage daughter as she could feel the springs and she is fine made up so not due to weight.

The food was nice plenty of choice, the drinks where hidden so you could see what was on offer unless it was the premium drinks which where expensive at €9 each. Bar closed at 12 and lights on all terraces switched off.

Public Transport very good and very reasonable between the 2 neighbouring towns.

Most of the best night entertainment seemed to be in the holiday resort village.

All inclusive didn’t cover food or drink in sister hotels if you wanted to attend the shows. The beach club on Sunday also an extra cost for drinks.

The hotel itself was really nice on first impressions however the rooms were full of ants and the patio was filthy, rooms were not cleaned properly.
Staff only looking for wrist bands rather then greeting you in the food hall or only friendly to other Spanish people.
Definitely not a 4 star. Food absolutely disgusting. Check in was a nightmare with a new starter who could not talk English and location is a steep 15 minute walk down to the beach.

March 2020. The staff were helpful and professional. The accommodation was spacious with an open view from a large terrace. There was only one restaurant available but the breakfast was very good if you like to eat a lot. The indoor pool was not included in the price and charged 10 euro per hour. I chose this apartment/hotel because it stated it had a gym and indoor pool. The gym is very poorly equipped with not even a rower or multi gym. Unfortunately at this time of year little is open on site and the property is not near to supermarkets or restaurants.
Fortunately there is a reasonably priced bus service but after plenty of walking we did not relish the very steep climb to get back up to the property. I am sure this is a good place in the summer for families who want to stay put.

We are currently here for 7days. We came in a quiet season (March 2020) for a week, so there isn’t much to do. Seems like everything is shut down because it’s still quiet. The only activities we could do is play in the arcade but it’s an additional cost which sucks. Coming here when it’s quiet, means you should go all-inclusive because there is nothing around in walking distance. You need transportation if you want to go anywhere (UBER works out much cheaper than regular taxis). The all-inclusive option only benefits when it comes to meals but still the options are a bit limited. There is nothing else to do! The spa prices are sooooo ridiculous and definitely it worth the penny. You can’t even access the indoor pool unless you pay €10 an hr (like who does that). So if you are an active person, don’t come here during “Winter”. If you need peace, then it definitely helps you relax because all I did was eat, chill in the jacuzzi and sleep (REPEAT). Summer time here, will most probably be a whole different experience all together. The hotel is big and beautiful to look at and feels like a luxury. Going all-inclusive really didn’t help me. There isn’t the basic tea & coffee in the rooms like normal hotels. The TV in the room only had 5 channels and they were all Spanish which definitely made no sense for me to watch. So entertainment really sucked here. Anything interesting you can do involves spending € when I already invested so much on this holiday. Hotel has great potential.

The hotel is a bit out of fashion, but the kids loved it with a lot of fun details and the enormous atrium with and aquarium on the first floor. There were birds inside and we felt like living in the jungle. The rooms could use some upgrading. The man in the restaurant by the pool was extremely friendly and polite!

Lovely big hotel, rooms were lovely and clean. We had a sea view and it was lovely to sit out on the balcony and sea the views and watch the boats. The spa was great we had massages and then spent time with all the other things the spa had to offer.
The restaurant was good, normal buffet breakfast and the evening meal was good, a nice selection.
The only thing this hotel lacked was a map, it’s so big the first day we struggled to find things, but it was no trouble to walk around and where all the facilities were. Fab place to stay, good location! Will definitely go back!

Have stayed at the neighbouring holiday village as a family (and worked there 12 years ago for a few years)
I knew exactly what we were getting when I booked.
The pool area isn’t as nice as it’s neighbour but the beach club more than makes up for that. Could do with a play ground. Also would be nice to be able to upgrade to all inclusive which you cannot do unless you stay for over 3 days (which means you can’t use the kids clubs and have to pay for all drinks)
The kids disco is way too late (9pm) when there is nothing to do until then if you can’t access the kids club.

Lovely hotel, clean and large room, UK TV stations. Only down side is not enough bar and seating areas, we had 2 children’s birthday parties and a wedding reception while we stayed which took up half the Bar area each day meaning no room for people stopping in the hotel to sit if it was raining.

Had fantastic family holiday - nice room , lovely sea view. It was a bit further out of town but easily accessible.Staff all very pleasant. Only downfall was really cold pools - kids didn't want to go in.Food was fine( some really tasty too ) and selection really good - chocolate fountain went down really well with kids - large restaurant can be really busy but have to say staff were nice and replenished dishes quickly - nobody need go hungry , even for fussy eaters.Sangria best I have ever had! Salads and fruit delicious as were the cakes.Breakfast had everything you could imagine. We left the hotel for a curry and thoroughly enjoyed as having meal served was nice change.Used the Chinese restaurant on site and it was tasty.Would love to return again if the price was right for us.Check out at 12pm was helpful too. We were there for 10 days but could have easily stayed longer. Kids used kids club a few times and they enjoyed it - staff were great. our room was cleaned every day with plenty fresh towels - the maids were also pleasant and friendly. The staff are a real asset to the hotel and would be happy to be of help if requested - nothing seemed to much trouble. Have to mention the sunbeds - they really do need updating as they cant be adjusted and the mattresses on the beds could do with a topper for more comfort. Air conditioning was good.

Unless you are on a fully inclusive deal you are not really welcome at this resort. We were unable to eat in any of the resort hotels and had to use taxi's to get into Benalmadena which cost a small fortune as it's in the middle of nowhere and there are no bars/restaurants around.

Lovely hotel, brilliant for families.

Had a lovely holiday, my 5 year old son thoroughly enjoyed it. Took my parents who are in their 70's who thoroughly enjoyed it too. Free shuttle bus to water park which runs every 10 minutes even though you could walk there in no time.

Was perfect for our 4 night stay. Unfortunately there is no sunbed monitoring after 9am, we experienced towels being left on all day without anyone actually using them. Recommend the water park but again no sunbeds after 9am as all reserved.
Food ok but restaurant can be messy if you go too late.

The hotel is huge and impressively designed. The staff are friendly and the hotel is spotless. Rooms were cleaned everyday to a very high standard.

The pool area was also clean. Hard to get a sun bed at times because of the sad people putting their towels out early, but I believe the hotel are trying to stop this.

Loads of entertainment for the kids.

All in all very impressed and would go there again.

Only down point was the terrible wifi.

Excellent, fun atmosphere. The whole family enjoyed spending our days at the pool or down at the adjacent water park. Very enthusiastic activities staff and something interesting every night. Good, quality drinks and service. Rooms are nicer than club med. Very impressive architecture and wow factor inside hotel. Food varied from very good to mediocre but we always were able to find something good to eat and plenty of it - also great snacks throughout the day. We were a little taken aback by the charges for extras (wifi, gym use, towels, etc.). Also upset that there was no beach access from the water park but there is a shuttle to the beach.

Awesome Hotel for Holiday with kids.

A top rated hotel if want a family holiday. This hotel was huge and had so many things for the kids to do, the kids can be kept busy all day. It was a fantastic holiday, I would love to go back again with the kids. Simply perfect.

Would not stay here even if it was free

Upon arrival receptionist seemed very unwelcoming and when we had a few basic questions felt like we were being fobbed off.

The room was not at all great beds really stiff that I woke up from the discomfort and had to move to the sofa bed in the living area.

The bathroom had stains across the walls/floor and the tap was loose/broken. Could not believe that a 4 star hotel seemed more like a 2 star.

Being February the temperatures were low so decided to go to the indoor pool which we were told it would cost 20 euros for one hour for the both of us seems extortionate and this is not highlighted on the hotel website nor the staff mentioning this until we got to the pool area.

Another problem was the restaurant I have to say the food choice was fairly good we stayed a week and each night there was generally something different but I have to say a lot of the food was barely warm. One night we turned up exactly when dinner was open and the food was warm but when going up for a second helping the food had gone back to its basic barely warm state?

I am sad that we ended up with this as our getaway for valentines it seemed a lot of effort staying here not relaxing or chilled out as what we had hoped for would not recommend this to friends or family.

This is one,if not the best hotel i have stayed in.However it loses the top mark due to it`s accessibility.It is neither children or older generation practical due to the hill you have to get up to get to it.Although both Torremuelle & Carvajal train stations can be walked to the hotel,it is definitely not advisable especially with children or luggage.Furthermore we found taxis scarce..We were there 4 nights.3 of those nights we had to walk back after going out and up the hill,as no taxis came by.It is definitely an all inclusive hotel,unless you either want to keep fit or you have a car.That said and done,it is a lovely hotel,with staff who are very friendly and very helpful.I have some beautiful pictures from the room with the view i had overlooking the sea.Would like to go back again but would ensure i sorted out getting to and from the hotel.Very nice though

Good Family Hotel

Second time at this hotel - pretty good 4* all inclusive, probably best for children under 14. Good facilities and there's a variety of food on offer to suit most tastes. Bars and restaurants all attractive, nice pool and a reasonable water park one minute away. Not outstanding but certainly a very good family hotel.

Not the best

Stayed for October over half term with the family. Hotel itself is very big and the atrium is huge with water feature and structure of bamboo.

No free wifi 36 euro for 3 connections for the week
Pool area snack bar was appalling and was not used
Pool area generally looked tidy and beds were stacked /straightened each day but the flooring needs a good sweep and wash down
Entertainment was not the best

Overall wouldn't return to due to above points and being isolated

This is our seventh stay

We feel that the food is not so good as it was when we first stayed .the staff are so friendly,but as we are getting well into our sixties we are finding the location a bit more difficult .it would be nice if they ran transport to the nearest shops or venues ,we would not mind paying for this and feel other people would agree.we belong to their loyalty club but were informed we could not enjoy the benefits as we booked through yourselves, we thought this a little unfair after the years we had supported them.
We wre also kept waiting at reception for ages on our arrival as they could not find any bookings for us from yourselves we were not ever given the reason for this even though we produced our booking papers in the end they took photo copies of our paperwork

To much focus has been spent on the grandeur of the entrance and not enough on the pool and rooms.
Beds turned over each day, but bath not cleaned once in 9 days!
Food is reasonable and kids entertainment is pretty good. Unfortunately we travelled mid September so things were starting to close such as trampoline area etc.
Had to pay for air conditioning in the gym and a euro each time we wanted a clear pool towel which for all inclusive was a bit cheeky. You get what you pay for I guess

Nice hotel but need to use shuttle bus

Hotel not near other bars or any within walking distance and you need shuttle bus to get up and down to main road for local busses which stops at six. Hotel good but entertainment apart from one evening is geared for children

There's nothing banal about Benalmadena.

Very nice staff and hotel with good facilities. Good entertainment and activities.
Chinese restaurant not good. Didn't taste anything like chinese food. Overall food in buffet restaurant reasonably good.
There's not many negatives with this hotel. Great for families.
Added bonus is the free bus which takes you the beach and the waterpark.

Excellent All Inclusive Experience

Excellent accommodation in luxury hotel. Lovely pool although outside space limited and split across main pool and beach club. Extremely clean, super selection of food. My son absolutely loved it; really relaxed and informal atmosphere and away from the main tourist area but still close enough pop to the beach or mariner in a taxi. We would definately holiday here again - I would say it is worth every penny and definately deserves a 4* rating; we only do 4* plus holidays and usually long-haul and this hotel definately compares.

Nice hotel, helpful staff,

Party of 6 spent ten enjoyable nights, everything you will need. Pool rather small for number of rooms but beach club more than makes up for that. Shuttle bus is a must as set on hill. If you want to enjoy ballymendena would advise hiring a car hotel is about 3-4 miles from there and prob same to feungrirola
