It’s a fabulous hotel, with amazing facilities and lovely staff. The food is also first class and reasonably priced. We loved the Med restaurant and the Arara bistro restaurant was our favourite!
I think the bedrooms could have been larger, with comfier chairs on the balcony and around the table. The ventilation was also not that well designed from the toilet into the room. But nonetheless it was a fab experience and we would go again.

Unfortunately ,when booking, the hotel was listed as if it is located in Malaga .The Hotel was nice, but far from Malaga. This caused us of course inconvenience ,especially having only one night to see the city.

We felt misled by what we read about this hotel. The pool opens at 11am not 10 am. The beach club is not free. Sunbeds are 20 euros. The shuttle to the beach and train station does about 4 runs a day and 6 on weekends. It doesn’t run early enough or late enough to make it useful for us. So we had to get taxis everywhere. The room was a very strange configuration and not user friendly at all. This hotel is not really a tourist hotel. It is connected to sports facilities which are subscribed to by locals which limit some activities. There are certain areas unavailable to guests.

A wery nice hotel that could be even better. Room was so nice and a lot of space. I don't see the point why everything should cost extra when you pay that much for your stay! A sunbed at roof top pool is 100 Eur! etc. I've been to many many 5 star resorts where you don't need to pay extra for everything. In all a very good hotel

I like the hotel the problem of it is located in the top of the mountain and to get to the bottom where the beach is located if you do not use their bus you have to pay for a taxi. The other issue is the last bus to go up to the mountain is at 7pm when the party is just starting. Also going to the pool, it closes at 9 pm when the sun is still out and the weather is just right to go into the pool. The top - level lounge is also nice put you have to pay to lay on beds at least $200 Euros it is applied to your beverage but if you do not all you lose the balance.

Be prepared for a hot room as the AC is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Room also had a bit of a smell and floors were dirty - in response a cleaner was sent to our room and she sprayed the curtains twice with air freshener and left.

Service wasn’t great either. When I asked at reception for a bottle of water I was told “this is not a bar” which was fairly dismissive. Not totally unusual for hotel receptions to have complimentary water at reception (especially a sports heavy hotel) but was made to feel like a plonker for asking.

Pool area(s) were nice but no very limited umbrellas for shade at the main pool. Possibly an attempt to drive people to the top floor pool which does have shade and less conveniently a 200 euro minimum spend pp.

Overall the rooms and settings are nice and modern, quite art deco but a bit conference looking.

Sports facilities look top class and the gym was massive and well kitted out.

We also took a free shuttle to the beach club (shuttle was not designed for the Spanish speed bumps so be prepared for a bumpy ride). Again there is minimum 200 euro spend for Balinese beds at the beach club or a 20 euro cover charge per person for a sunbed on the beach. Food and drinks were good but prepare to pay 15 euro a cocktail. We dined at the Japo restaurant which was very good. Hotel breakfast was also good.

Location wise it was 20 mins from airport and a short drive to the beach. We had a car so was easy to get to Malaga and Marbella also.

The hotel is visually stunning—modern, elegant, and full of beautiful art. You can tell they’ve put a lot of thought into making it feel special, and the rooms are stylish and comfortable.

But there were a few major letdowns. The biggest one: the rooftop infinity pool, which is heavily promoted on the website and all booking platforms, is not included in your stay. You only find out at check-in that it costs €200 per day to access. This felt dishonest and really soured our arrival.

The room design also lacks practicality. The toilet and shower are completely transparent, offering no privacy whatsoever. Just because you’re traveling with someone doesn’t mean you want zero separation. In our case, the toilet door didn’t even close properly and the shower leaked into the room.

Another surprise: the bathroom amenities are single-use miniatures, which feels outdated and not eco-conscious—especially for a hotel positioning itself as modern and premium.

Overall, the hotel is beautiful and could offer a fantastic experience, but a few design flaws and lack of transparency around extra costs took away from the stay.

This resort is a great place in any season. It is the second time we stayed there. Higueron is the best area in La Costa del Sol , and this resort is super top in every aspect. The restaurants, the tennis and paddle courts, the pools… everything is excellent!

In all fairness, we were upgraded on arrival for a discounted rate and were offered entry to the spa which was greatly appreciated. However, I had to share that it didn't feel like hotel. The hotel was more a sports centre for the local families and kids who would be in the spa and indoor pools. If you walked around it was full of eery conference rooms, but lacked any entertainment day or night/no coffee bars, and no food to the pool. To use the beach club or some hotel restaurants, you couldnt walk because the hotel is not directly connected so you had to use the shuttle. However, the shuttle ends at 6 40pm so it was taxis to reach areas that belong to the hotel. Kind of felt like a conference centre.

Only negative would be that the tea bags/milk in our room weren't replenished at any point during our stay. We requested it at front desk, and called accommodation services at different times, but no one ever came with more tea bags/milk.

The hotel is beautiful, in particular the rooftop and Med restaurant level pools are very luxurious. The food was lovely. It is a very sports focused resort.

The location is quite a trek from other areas. If you like staying in one place thats fine, or if you have a car its fine, otherwise there is a good shuttle service that goes from the hotel to the beach.

I wanted to love this hotel, however did not feel the room size matched a 5 star hotel. Also the service I received was very mixed. The bar/restaurant staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful, however others I met on my stay unfortunately were less friendly. It is quite a maze to work out what lifts go where as they are all different, and the "rules" for using different towels at different pools (which isnt eco friendly and also unexpected at a 5 star hotel), were confusing on arrival and unfortunately those explaining this to me were not very patient or understanding.

Overall for me there was a negative atmosphere to the hotel which didnt match the beautiful surroundings.

I had to use my own phone to calll reception . As it didn’t work in Room and no one could hear me, which meant they had to come up to my room to get out of my bed with literally literally like what I went to bed in which is not great I need a hotel for A week I wondered if you could help me because it was expensive and all the food was terrible and it was all late and it was all wrong and they kept forgetting the drinks and then they got my ice cream wrong. They just literally dumped a bowl of ice cream, when it was supposed to be ice cream with caramel sauce is it Hotel ? The staff are good but the protocol and the way that the hotel is run is not the staff fault but it’s not very customer friendly one of the guys and reception is extremely rude. He had like sort of skinhead and he was on reception. He was so rude also they knew I had to bring my assistance dog and I just felt like they didn’t really take my illness into account for my emotional pet my emotional well-being so I was extremely stressed and upset I specifically asked my breakfast to be sat why and my eggs were hard and they just don’t seem Get the right instructions from the kitchen as they’re only porters so it’s not their fault the chef bad awf

I loved the property entirely. The room was amazing, staff.... not too sure about. you don't exactly expect rude, obnoxious staff from a 5* hotel.
I travel alot and never had i felt to comment to my partner about the way we were treated. not all staff. some of the members of staff were amazing, however some were just plain rude.
did not appreciate.
My partner was asking questions to one of the receptionist. the way he got a response, oh my goodness. that honestly put me off, and my partner is the nicest person you will ever speak to. not ok.

As we checked in at 5:30pm after waiting at the front desk because they were not sure the room was clean (check in is at 3pm) we were shocked as we discovered ants all over the living room floor and crumbs on the carpet. So obviously the cleaning of the rooms was not finished. Plus the amenities are already beaten up and look old. No bellman after a certain hour so u have to carry your own luggage’s

This hotel is located in a very nice area and the pools are very nice. The parking is very convenient and it’s free. Do not expect much from your room. We had the suite. Our upstairs shower leaked and the first night the whole room was flooded. The shower door design is flawed hence the water leak every time I took shower. The room water would be cold for 5-7min before it warmed up. Overall room quality was poor. The bed wasn’t comfortable.

The room was not any resemble to the resort style hotel and amenities. We got to hotel late after 8 pm and decided to eat at 10 pm and all the restating the hotel were closed we had to order room service. The room was very small and the bed was so hard, had the worst night of our entire trip with not beign able to get comfy and the room would get hot during the night. Like I said earlier the resort is beautiful but the room accommodations very poor.

No store on premises. Shuttle hours changed during my stay without notice. Long walk to the beach and restaurant. Must take taxi or Uber from the beach if you miss the shuttle. Cafe opens late. Charges for early checkin - most US flights arrive in the morning. No access to the spa even when you book a massage or other treatments. Food at the restaurant mediocre - best to eat at the restaurants by the beach.

It's hard to describe what a beautiful and luxurious experiece this hotel offers. Make sure you give yourself a few days to make use out of the ammenties and activities. Brunch was worth the price. Next time I would upgrade my room, that was the only a little lackluster part. But the grounds and the pools are extremely serene and enjoyable. Highly recommend!!

Excellent Hotel but the 21euro breakfast is hopeless machine coffee tepid tea and cold (hot) buffet really poor and the infinity pool is sunning BUT it will cost you 150 Euro to sit down on the cabanas ! Food at the Med restaurant goes up after 7pm for almost the same menu ! Once you find your way around it’s great breakfast with real coffee at the Sports Bar is a fraction of the price

The hotel itself is stunning, really beautiful views and the lobby is fab.
However the hotel lacked functionality.
The sun loungers are leather, as are the pillows and there are no umbrellas, leaving you to get sun burnt while sitting on piping hot leather that sticks to your skin.
The door for the toilet doesn’t touch the ground, and is a sliding door connected to the shower. The lack of privacy doesn’t leave much to the imagination when going to the toilet, and someone can’t shower while someone uses the toilet as it’s only one door for both, one person would be exposed.
The room is a generous size, but there is a giant bathtub on display which takes up so much space, leaving the wardrobe size minute. Not sure how many people have baths when on a holiday in 30degree heat, but this meant we had to live out of our suitcases.

Again, the hotel looks absolutely stunning, but it really is style over substance and lacking in functionality.

Great hotel - with lots of space and many good facilities. Just make sure you stay in the new part of the hotel. The rooms in the old part is odd - some rooms with transparent or open doors from the shower/toilet.

40th Birthday treat for my wife, premium suite is totally worth it. They brought up complimeteary wine and chocs
i would have liked free access to spa if already purchasing the Suite. Also i felt that toiletries were a bit inadequate. no toothpaste, shoe horn, pencil/pen. despite this room extremely clean, modern. Spa and gym are great. great location. also very nice and helpful hotel staff. As its a resort there are many people but that just gives character to hotel

It took 45min to check in as only one person was working. Then, there was a lot of noise in the evening - it sounded like they were dragging something outside of our room and it was around 10pm. In the morning, we had bunch of cigarette buds on our terrace - not sure where those came from over night.
However, the staff itself was polite although most of them do not speak english.

One of the best hotels in the area. However the qualities feels more like a 4-star-hotel. We had to slam the hotel room door quite hard to get the door locked. The room and door is brand new. Where is the quality control?

The beds are quite hard and not very comfortable. The balconies are not furnished with very comfortable furniture. Its hard plastic material. No cushions.

The breakfast is good, even though we wish there were more fruits to choose from than melons and pineapple.

Check-in and check-out takes forever. It seems like the system is slow and outdated.

To get a towel by the pool you need a paper ticket from the reception. That is very old-fashioned and outdated. Hello, we are in 2021.

There are no parasols for sun protection by the big pool. So you have to be in the sun all the time if you use the sundeck.

They charge you 100€ for a bed on the roof top even though you stay at the hotel. (You get a 75€ credit).

The hotel has nothing to do with the beach club even though they show pictures of it on the web site. No help to book anything at the front desk. The beach club is quite expensive as well.

The hotel is a great 4-star hotel.
But as a 5-star hotel is actually not good enough.

The hotel had apparently been refurbished recently but that wasnt always obvious and if you looked closely, it was t particularly well done. It still has the feel of a tired 4star rather than a gloss 5 star. Rooms are very small; wifi isnt brilliant; TV is useless as next to no English channels; fridge is underpowered and full of ridiculously priced items (shop is 10min walk away); there is a huge amount of light pollution in room so sleep is difficult - and you cant use the loo in the night as there is no door to the loo/bathroom area (all integrated into the room) and so the light would wake up my partner. Food is good but expensive. The portions are tiny. The caesar salad (€13) comes on a side plate and a burger comes with literally 15 chips. Would it have killed the profit margin to be more generous? And of course the hotel is next door to a building site. All in all, avoid.

The hotel is beautiful but after paying for deluxe room which was nothing special, you would expect to use sauna and steam room with indoor pool but no they wanted 31.50 euros , the hotel has nothing around it no restaurants and is on a very steep hill there is an open bus free but it’s not exactly a smooth ride and it takes along time , We did ear in the Mexican restaurant which was expensive but nothing special , we would not stay here again hotel lacked atmosphere, oh and after first day we used the two coffee pods but had to pay 1.50 euros per pod if we wanted more for our room , there was coffee sachets but only 2 per day and none on our last morning, roof top pool bar is fabulous but 15 euros for two drinks , we did tell them that it was our anniversary before we arrived but not even a chocolate on our pillow no special touches as you would expect in a hotel of this standard

Ich habe vier wunderbare Tage in diesem Hotel verbracht. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir sehr herzlich begrüßt und konnten das Zimmer sogar früher beziehen. Die Unterkunft war außergewöhnlich sauber – so eine gepflegte Anlage habe ich bisher selten erlebt. Das Frühstück war zudem fantastisch: eine hervorragende Auswahl, dazu Obst und Gemüse in bester Qualität.

Die Sportmöglichkeiten sind ebenfalls beeindruckend: perfekt gepflegte Anlagen, großartige Padelplätze und ein exzellenter Tennisunterricht, bei César.

Der Service war durchgehend freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell. Ein großes Lob an das gesamte Team und das Management. Klare Empfehlung!

was net hotel. parkeren op straat was vreselijk moeilijk . het parkeer tarief van het hotel was belachelijk hoog.
personeel was behulpzaam en vriendelijk.
hotel lag in de middle of nowhere een huurauto is een must.
hotel was schoon en netjes

Weit vom Strand entfernt.Es gibt nicht einmal einen Mülleimer am Strand.Sie verlangen sogar eine Gebühr für Sonnen liegen.Es ist überhaupt nicht wie ein fünf Sterne Hotel. So ein teures Hotel.Entschuldigung für mein Geld.
