What a beautiful place to stay, true value for money too, a lovely room with all you can eat breakfast that's excellent quality, the rooms were clean, well equipped with free toiletries and daily room service, comfortable beds and a lovely hot shower too, all the staff are exceptional (the bar is outstanding 😁).... Amazing hotel, beautiful, authentique, great food selection and top quality produce, but most of all the STAFF. They were absolutely incredible from the moment we checked in to when we left! This hotel stay was one of the best, big, clean rooms, beautiful food selection, overall, just a great stay. Bonus, it's only 10min walk into Mijas town also!

Hotel is in a great spot easy walk into the center
The A/C in our room only pumped out warm air so we slept with the balcony doors open this cooled the room but the traffic noise disturbed our sleep.
Breakfast buffet was a poor event unripe fruit and unappealing warm food offering
Hotel was OK for a single night stay but no longer
Staff on reception desk very apologetic and friendly

The hotel is typically Spanish with more modern wings built on to the original smaller hotel. It is a good hotel overall with a good size swimming pool in a great location for walking in to the village of Mijas. It has a spa & hairdresser on site & has great views over the surrounding campo down to the coast.

Location excellent ,as was the on sight parking.
Friendly and helpful staff easy check in.
Lots of outside space.
Pool was a good size however did have black algae on the grouting near the entrance walls. Which was off putting.
Plenty of choice in the restaurant however the food was lukewarm not hot.
The fruit was fresh and of good quality.
Mijas pueblo is great to explore.

Excellent positon with convenient parking!

Only stayed one night to meet with family out on holiday. The staff couldn't be more friendly! Had an unfortunate event the following morning & they bent over backwards to accommodate. Riom was large, clean & comfortable and the cheap parking on site was a godsend! Cannot comment on restaurant as didnt get to use but heard breakfast was good. Will definkteky be back on return visits to Mijas Pueblo!

the property doesn't maintain well, in-room furniture are not well maintained, wardrobe are lack of painting, chairs are worn out, bathtub is worn out. The wall are thin, I can hear next walls TV sounds. It is over priced, this hotel should be 2 stars.

This hotel seems to live on past glories. It's pleasant enough and well positioned, with plenty of space, in this popular village but it doesn't try hard to do much else. The bedrooms have clearly been updated from time to time, but not to the highest degree. There are plenty of parking spots around the hotel but if you choose the hotel's own park it'll cost you 10 euros a day - exorbitant! Little wonder that it's empty apart from staff cars.

The Hotel needs a total refurb. It's quite shabby in places. Stains on carpets etc.The buffet food was the worse I've ever experienced. Don't eat in this Hotel...lots of good restaurants in Mijas Pueblo.
On a positive note this Hotel does have a lot of charactor and wonderful views. The pool area is nice and the staff are very friendly.

No fresh orange juice or decafinated coffee at breakfassts; air conditioning in room die not work and we changed rooms but still did not work and finally hotel wanted to charge 3 Euro per day to use the safety deposit box in our room - unheard of for a hotel!!!

Fourth visit to this hotel, great location and views . First visit 25 years ago and I still had the same curtains and divan trims ! Wow bedrooms need a real makeover and not the disastrous shabby chic painting white of the wardrobes …. a waste of time effort and money with an awful result .
Main hotel areas still lovely traditional Spanish, some antiques which should never be discarded. Bygone classy hotel . Now 3star . Breakfast adequate choice and plentiful . Other meals not very nice . Best to dine out in the lovely local restaurants .
All staff really helpful and friendly.

A Spanish jewel

The hotel is tastefully decorated, very clean and situated with beautiful views to the sea. Being near the centre of the Pueblo, it was very easy to walk out and explore the numerous bars, restaurants, shops and local attractions. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice. Evening dinner buffet looked better than it tasted, but quite sufficient. The staff were pleasant and their service very good. Our room opened out onto gardens, but we preferred not to keep the door open at night, which would have been good as the night time air conditioning was set by the hotel and we found the room hot. The bathroom was clean with plenty of towels. Our only negative was the shower curtain, which clung to us whilst showering. A glass shower panel would definitely improve it.
We would definitely stay again.

This hotel enjoys a prominent and exclusive position in a tourist-friendly village. It seems to be resting on its laurels. On this occasion I arrived on an unusually cold day in a hotel clearly built for the sunshine. My room was icy and. although I was shown how to heat it with the air condition machine it remained very cold and no-one seemed worried.

Lovely setting and building and some nice rooms to relax in ,service very good .However a little disappointed in the room ,very tired and the bathroom needed renovating ,patched up stained grout all around the bath for example ---not 4 star standard.Food generally very disappointing ,the buffet both for breakfast and dinner could be greatly improved

We enjoy our 13 days very much. All general areas in side and out where well kept and the staff all professional, friendly and helpful. We had the buffet breakfast which consisted of both continental and English breakfast. The only other food we had was a pizza at the pool area which was tasty and reasonably priced. My only negative comments are relating to the quality of the carpet and furniture in our superior room which was dated. The cleaning staff left the room as clean as they could. We wouldn’t advise agains staying at the hotel which is ideally located for touring in the area and enjoy visiting the lovely town of Mijas which is within 10 minutes walking distance

The location of the hotel is great, the size of the room and bathroom is good and the check in man was efficient but the bed is so uncomfortable. The room was really hot and when I spoke to reception at 23.37 to say the AC didn’t work he told me the whole hotel AC was switched off due to the weather so we couldn’t use it, despite it being advertised on the listing as having AC, and it being 19 degrees at night. I ended up having a cold shower and sleeping on the floor as it was quite cold to lay on. Disappointing - I’m tired and achy now.

Wonderful location so close to the town, stunning views, great pool area, all employees extremely helpful, an overall good looking hotel. However the rooms need a little TLC bed extremely hard, bathroom needs updating and room could do with a paint - mould on the wall was a little alarming - an overhaul of the rooms would make everything excellent at this place

We arrived for a 1 night stay booked through Hotels.com. On arrival the reception staff were very welcoming and we had a 30 minute wait for our room, so we went looking around the hotel.
The pool area was closed off, which is a bit disappointing as the hotel had a lot of people and maybe it should be heated?
We headed down to check out the Spa. OMG- How much! Even to use the indoor spa area and not have any treatments was so so expensive! (83 euros)...

Back at reception we collected our key and went to our room.
The room was an ok size, but had not been cleaned. Also, they don't provide tea and coffee, even though you have a kettle and 2 cups in the room!
The walls are paper thin and could hear people talking next door for most of the night.
We also found that when you walk out of the hotel, there are free to stay car parks (as our room overlooked one) or you could park on the street in a parking bay for 1 euro /24 hours.
HOWEVER... The hotel don't tell you this and charge you 10 euros to stay in their underground car park, which was so tight to move that I ended up several times having to do 3 point turns with my Fiat 500, which had an amazing turning circle. We did watch 2 cars hit the car parking pillars.
Breakfast was ok, but nothing special...
Overall. Great hotel location and staff friendly, but I wouldn't stay again.

Fantastic location, amazing views, 5 mins walk from pueblo . A traditional hotel, full of character. Also there is a bus stop directly outside if you want to go and explore other places. Mijas pueblo is magical with lots of shops and restaurants. Would fully recommend. The food at the hotel is Ok but would probably just do bed and breakfast next time.

The best that I can say about the property is that it put a roof over our heads, and the views from the pool deck are nice. Otherwise, would highly discourage anyone from staying here. First, the air conditioners do not work properly. The knobs to control the temperature have been purposely broken off so that you cannot make them cooler. My husband and I were unable to sleep for most of the one night we stayed here because it was unbearably hot. In the middle of the night we went to the front desk to ask for a fan, but the hotel could not provide one. They offered to switch our room but we had a sleeping toddler and did not want to wake her - and they confirmed that the knobs had been taken off of all the a/c’s anyway so assume no room would be better. Additionally, we discovered the a/c had an incredible amount of dirt and mold inside of it - no idea when it was last cleaned.

Other disappointments: the bed is on wheels and in order to prevent if from rolling off the wall we needed to place our luggage at the foot of the bed; they do not provide towels at the pool - you have to bring your own which is not very convenient if you’re flying and need to pack them; the pillows are paper thin; and the property overall looks like it has needed a makeover for many, many years. It might have been nice back in the day - but those days have long past and you can find much nicer accommodations for the price you’d pay to stay here.

This hotel had an excellent hilltop location and superb views over the surrounding areas, excellent outdoor pool and bar with plenty of sun beds, only thing is you need to get there early as the sun beds can be filled up very quickly, buffet breakfast was ample with a wide variety of choices, staff so friendly and efficient and underground parking was so handy and secure, only thing was it had very tight spaces and difficult to manoeuvre round, but don’t know if carparks are like that in Spain, other than that hotel was great and one the best Spanish hotels I have ever been in, had a 4 night stay and will definitely be back here again and recommend to anyone, only wish I stayed here longer

Fantastic views from this well-established hotel

A well-established hotel in the fantastic mountain town of Mijas. Leisurely feel everywhere, very quiet during this time of year. Cozy room with classic design. Spectacular views of the town and down to the coast from my corner room, the restaurant, bar and pool. The pool was not open during my December stay, but was still a nice place to stroll and soak in the sun. Parking costs EUR10 per day and is recommended for convenience.

Excellent location and good value, the rooms are a little tired ... The 'Shabby Chic' furniture finish looks more shabby than chic. Beware parking is 10 euros per night ... local car park in Mijas is 1 euro per 24 hours.

The carpets could do with an update but for the price of the rooms it really is value for money
