Location was not bad. One thing to note is there are many APA Hotels in the area with a similar name. Make sure you have the right one saved when navigating to and from the hotel. Whilst they are all relatively near each other, it’s always handy to know which one is your temporary “home”.

This hotel does a lot of work with a small space, yielding good value for budget travelers. You can be safe and clean in the center of this vibrant bustling city for a price far below nearly any city in Europe, the USA, Australia or NZ. In exchage for living in a very compact room (or larger if you pay extra for more beds) you get: Clean premises and new or like-new functional elements, & an ice machine (or \"ice engine\") is available. Nearby, you may want to explore a spectacular Buddhist temple. Also in adjacent streets there are many varieties of restaurants and izakaya, self-service coin laundry in the hotel or on a nearby street, museums and many excellent transportation options to get around and beyond Osaka. Efficiency and automation are the key to this hotel, and the staff will help you competently in Japanese or English if you need help. This neighborhood is part of an area once known as regional hub for pharmacy companies, a tradition still carried on by some large pharma companies today. As a result, the neighborhood hosts relatively well-paid professionals, but not as many tourists as the famous districts in Osaka. The vibe is business/professional, tidy quiet and well-organized. I saw two police officers on bicycle patrol, a wonderful example of simple and efficient solution to the problem of solving the final 5 percent of social problems in this city that effective cultural education and personal citizen responsibility do not fully cover.

Hotel is in a very good location. Not for from the subway station and good coffee shops nearby. However, rooms are very small. Me and my husband had to change to a twin room just to get our luggage in as there was hardly any space to walk about in the double room. Rooms are nice and clean

About 8-10 min walk from the closest metro station. Quite a way if you did whole day walking. The rooms are extremely small, just enough space to make a step from the bed to the wall… the bathroom is as small as a small closet. The staff at the front desk not very friendly… we arrived at 2:45pm… they asked us to wait until 3pm to check in. When asked for recommendations or directions told us to use Google map. One thing was amazing is how clean the property is. Cleaning staff are doing a really good job!

Rooms: Dusty with some sort of weird vent that blows cold air from outside (in the middle of winter!) into the room nearly directly above the bed.

Service: They don't clean at all other than changing towels and linens. The room clearly hasn't been vacuum or dusted, possibly ever. I tested out whether they clean by noting where the dust, hair, and other dirt was. The day they \"cleaned\" the room, all the dirt was still in the same places. They also don't replace the amenities properly. I use hair ties but half the time they aren't replaced even after they've \"cleaned\" the room.

Location: quiet which is nice but far from subway and attractions

Building: only 1 elevator for the entire hotel which has 14 floors, so it can take a while to use it and be crowded. The maids leave the doors in the hallways to the outside open the entire time they clean the floor; meaning hours of winter cold coming down the hallway and into the rooms.

Bottom line: this hotel is worse than other APA hotels

Great stay

Very clean room. A bit tight if you have large luggage but I just had a small bag so it was fine. Since they had all amenities and robe for sleeping it was great for a short business stay. There are several APA hotels in the area so just be sure you are going to the right one!

The room was very hot. The hotel already had the heat on and told us to open the window to cool down. The shower kept soaking the bathroom floor. And there was only one elevator in the whole hotel. They also broke our suitcase while holding it prior to check in.

Hotel is ok but breakfast is not advisable to include for the stay. No variety at all for breakfast. Same thing for 5 days when we stayed. Sadly to say, we paid the highest breakfast fee to all our stay for our japan vacation. The lady at the breakfast hotel was watching what people are eating. She's annoying.the breakfast place is so small and 18 people can eat only at the same time.

The hotel was very clean. They provide many little extra things like toothbrushes, slippers, hair bobbles and razors. Also they have a microwave on second floor to heat your food. We were very impressed for the price.
Reception were very polite when entering and leaving building saying hello and goodbye.
Hotel is about 10 min walk from metro roughly about 20 mins away from Namba
We would recommend staying here

Overall it was a good hotel, the only downside there’s no laundry available and room has limited storage space it can get pretty cramped. It’s also a smaller APA hotel so they only have one elevator. Would rate 3.5-4/5 stars.

A tiny room with all amenities needed, in a good location, and close to the metro.

Suggestion: make the bathroom soundproof by using a proper door that closes hermetically. The room is already really tiny. The current door makes that all the tiny sounds are heard inside/outside the bathroom.

I honestly enjoyed my stay at APA Hotel Midosuji Hommachi Station Higashi in Osaka, Japan. It's quite close to the subway stations which helped me reduce the amount of time i have to be in the station to catch my transportation. There's a convenience store right next to it (Family Mart) and just a few minutes walk to 7-11. The area is really nice, safe, and quiet. The staff in this hotel are amazing! very helpful and well mannered to their guests and when i made some mistakes, they were there to helped me out. It is cheap and clean hotel! Although, the space is quite small, it's perfect for a single person! I would definitely comeback here, when i visit Osaka in the near future! Oh, if you want a food recommendations( i.e. Ramen) feel free to ask the staff at the front desk in regards of their personal recommendations. I once again, want to say thank you to the staff at APA Hotel Midosuji Hommachi Station Higashi. Really enjoyed my stay here!

I had an enjoyable stay at this Apa location. Walking distance to almost everyting that I needed to go too. Bar across and restaurants up & down the street. Homomachi Station about 5-7 minutes away. Get on the subway and just ride. If your looking to shop, not an area to stay.

We enjoy the location of the hotel. Although it is sometimes a 10 minute walk to the stations, it was a great to be in the middle of the different stations so we can avoid changing lines!
The bathtub was comfortable too.
The staff had trouble with English. They were nonetheless extremely willing to help!

Quite a modern hotel, check in and out was easy and we were able to leave our bags for awhile after checkout.
The room was quite small for 2 people with luggage but it was clean and had everything we needed. It is not too far to go to train stations and around half an hour to walk to the castle.

I have found no problem in staying with APA hotel, eventhough the rooms are small but I enjoying my stay. The rooms are so clean and staffs are friendly. So I am planning for another private trip in the near future.

The hotel was mostly very nice (the staff were lovely, and the room had all the amenities you’d expect). However, the pillows were so dreadful that they made it very very difficult to get a good nights sleep. The pillows were very thin, and made of a strange material which had no give at all.

The place was super clean and nice . One thing I don't like about this hotel is the washroom is always face to the bed and there was only a light colored window . Also there was a space between washroom door and floor. I could see through other person is taking shower etc and also hear everything what happens in the bathroom, which was very uncomfortable staying with plus one guest.

My room appeared very clean on arrival. The mattress was nice and firm enough for my liking. The hotel was also close to Honmachi train station, walkable distance. It was also close to many good food and coffee shops where I could enjoy my udon and coffee at cheaper price. Staff there were very professional though I had some minor language barrier a few of the staff there could speak English fluently at the counter

New hotel, clean, everything you need for a 1 or 2 night stay. Room is too small for 2 people, but it’s Japan... Overall great stay, my only complaint is the walls are very thin (even for a new hotel) I could literally feel the walls shaking when the person next to me was taking a shower. Walls are definitely always thinner in Japan, but this place is worse than some.

The property is conveniently located near the Mido-suji subway line which was extremely helpful especially when you want to travel to the main tourist sites. I found that the hotel was well organized, clean and the bonus factor was that there was a Family Mart located right next to it which was super handy when you just want to grab something quick instead of going to a restaurant.

800 meters from station ، 10 min walking, not very convenient with luggages, very nice and friendly staff, breakfast without any conventional western style food, no baccon, honey, milk, cereals or ....only japanese food that was made with a good enough quality. Takoyaki , two japanese suops and rice and fish.....reminding that you're in japan.

Comfort stay for six night. Friendly staffs!!! Hotel facilities are new and hotel design modern. The pillow and comforter are good in condition. The hotel room is not small. However, there is no security box in he room. Will come back again to stay.

スタッフのサポートは良かったが、御堂筋本町東駅の場所が悪く、駅から場所ざがしにヘトヘトなった。二度とあの場所のアバホテルは予約しない。
サポートしてくれたスタッフは良かったです。
テッシュケースからテッシュを取ろうとしたら、黒いテッシュケースの箱が埃だらけ!
また、ホテルを探していても、本町駅からかなり歩いてもカンバンもなければ夜はさが背愛、コンビニの裏に隠れていては探せでしょう!
