The room was not very big. They provided 2 double beds (not very big) and a single bed even though we were 4. Space is tight. In our case it was not much of a problem since we travelled with our 2 teenagers but you may want a room with another bed if your party is 4.
Beds were very firm.
Breakfast was incredible, the variety, the taste and quality. Very good.
Location wise it is great too, metro station literally next to the hotel, seven eleven roght in front and about 15 min walking to Den Den Town area.
The hotel was super quiet as well.
Only issue was the small room/beds and the reception staff barely speaks English so just bear that in mind.

Had a lovely stay - room was a little small, but I expected that to be the case (have stayed with Daiwa before). Nonetheless it had everything I needed, plus really easy access to Kitahama station, making it easy to get anywhere! The staff were excellent, would definitely stay again 😁

I thought it felt a little tired and a little less nice inside the room than I expected. I’d stayed in another hotel in this chain earlier in the same trip and it was much nicer and more recently updated, so I was a little surprised. The bed was also harder and less comfortable. The breakfast, while overall pretty good, was often out of the best items over the course of our meal, and it seemed like the kitchen was understaffed. However, the service was quite good and the staff very friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed our stay at at this property, the hotel elevators were secured via room keys and front desk staff and housekeeping staff was very kind. Our room was a great size for my boyfriend and I. The amenities were standard but great that they also gave us a sheet mask for the ladies. I loved that the mirror in the restroom had a section that would not fog up! Only small complaint was that the desk was a bit dusty. Overall very pleasant stay! :)

The layout of the room was roomy in comparison to most hotels in Japan. The mattress was firm, room was clean and the washrooms had decent space for us to change and move around. Staff were very friendly and willing to change our room to nonsmoking last minute since we booked the wrong room.
Located in a business area a bit far away from the JR line (~30min walk from Osaka station) so you need to take a private line where the station is located right next to the hotel.

It was my second time to stay in this hotel ,but it is not as good as before because of room facility .
1, it was a double room (smoking) which is full of smoking smell ,far from my enduring . After turning on air conditioning, opening the window ,turning on air filtering , we were still indulged in the smell of smoke.
2. the smell of toilet was terrible ,mixing uncomfortable smell with smell of cigar.

3. speed of internet was unacceptable .max download speed was 256kbps

Very small rooms, which is normal in Japan, but very clean.
No English speaking TV, which Shan appears to be the norm in Japan.
Breakfast has a good variety on offer and there are plenty of restaurants in the area for other meals.

The subway Kitahama is just next to the hotel, easy for everyone catch the train to go. The room is a bit small, I booked a standard double room but the size is same as semi-double room I lived at Tokyo last month. The hotel staffs are friendly and helpful.

Rather good experience overall but the check in experience was bad. Hence 3 stars only. No smile at all, no flexibility around early check although we arrived at 12h20, little English spoken at reception. Some staff at reception are better than others as the service experienced later demonstrated. But this hotel has to improve that first impression that customers keep.... the check in.

The location is convenient to go to anywhere.

The hotel is located in a commercial area, close to subway and JR . It is convenient to anywhere in the city. There are cafe, restaurants , fashion stores and a supermarket inside a commercial complex cross the street of the hotel.
The guest room is not contemporary designed. It could be due to its clients. During my stay, I saw quite a lot of business travellers.

Good Hotel for Travelers.

It is very impressed when we first checked in the hotel at the reception counter: smile, polite, warm welcome from the hotel staffs. Our room is super clean, the hotel is near to subway station (10 metres south of hotel), restaurants around (1 block south of hotel on the left there are 2 fast food restaurants , one udon and one rice, with the very reasonable prices). We will stay to this hotel if we come back to Osaka.

We were upgraded but the breakfast is terrible. Table cloth was absolutely filthy not just ours but everyone else. Is inconvenient for sightseeing. In Japan, this is seldom seen!. Quality of the breakfast was of a One Star Hotel!

The hotel has a nice looks specially the lobby, the area is ok but has a very convenient metro station at footsteps. The service was not good at the reception and restaurant. As a tip don't bother to have breakfast is the hotel, the service and the food are bad. Cleanness in the rooms however is good.

We have never been to Osaka before and we never regret to choose this hotel. The front desk staff are very professional with service minded. The hotel room is nice and clean. The mates are very polite and helpful. The breakfast are high quality with excellent staff. We would say only if we have chance to visit Osaka again, we will choose again the hotel Daiwa. Located directly on top of Kitahama subway station, this Daiwa Roynet hotel is super easy to get to. It's also got good room sizes for couples when compared to other similarly priced hotels in Japan, specifically in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. There's everything you could need for a basic but comfortable stay in the center of Osaka, close enough to Namba and Umeda. Can't recommend this enough, especially with the Torikizoku restaurant just around the corner.

Good location, uncomfortable beds

We only spent a couple of nights in Osaka, but the hotel's location made it easy to see everything on our list. There is a subway station located just outside the and taxis are always available outside. Many restaurants and store are nearby making it very easy to grab a bite before returning to the hotel at night. Unfortunately our bed was very uncomfortable. We found mattresses in Japan tend to be a little too hard for us, but this was the most uncomfortable of all.

About 10mins walk to/from Yodoyabashi station where the subway takes you to Osaka station. Fresco supermarket across the hotel in Kitahama Plaza basement. Room well maintained. Maps and tourist info at reception mainly in Japanese. Staff helpful. Love the amenities given out to ladies, which you can choose upon checked in. KIX-hotel-KIX transfer is convenient.

The hotel is located next to Exit 6 of Kitahama subway station.

Room size is as expected and promoted in the hotel web. We understand it is the standard double room in Japan hotel, with one double bed, a writing desk and a TV stand. Settings are simple but we have all we need: water boiler, TV, tea/ coffee making, fridge, luggage stand, slippers, hangers, and an iron board!

The room is bright lit and clean, the toilet is small but very clean, it does not have any moldy smell which I really appreciate.

The check-in staff was very friendly and care about the little child I have and give extra towels to us.

The neighborhood is business district. There are plenty of eateries, both causal fast good style and Japanese specialty. Lawson and 7-11 are around the corner. There's one drug store selling Japanese medicine and beauty products about 100 meters away.

Comments and recommendations:
to replace a larger trash bin for child diapers disposal.
to put recycle bin in the hotel lobby or lift lobby for bins/ plastic recycling.
a few more cloth hangers would be good for families with small children.

We stayed at a standard room for 5 nights and it was an enjoyable experience. The room is relatively small but clean and well-maintained. The hotel provided all the amenities you need and there is also humidifier inside the room.

The location is excellent, just right above the Kitahama subway station (exit 6). Once you get out of the Kansai Airport, just take the Nankai Airport Express to Tengachaya and switch to subway with a few mins walk. If you are planning to go to Kyoto, you can take the Keihan Rail which is less than 5 mins walk from the hotel too. Right across the hotel is Kitahama Plaza (subway exit 4), there is a supermarket where you can get the high quality Japanese medicines and cosmetics at better prices than Shinsaibashi. Also, there is a Michelin 1 star tempura restaurant right next to the corner and also an excellent cake shop nearby.

This is a great hotel and I will come back again in the future.
