The Royal Palace Cavas Osaka is a great choice if you want a stylish, well-maintained hotel right in the heart of the action. The design is modern and beautiful — everything feels fresh and thoughtfully put together. Staff were friendly and genuinely helpful throughout the stay, which always makes a difference.

The location is the standout: right next to the train station, which makes exploring Osaka (and day trips) incredibly easy. Breakfast is on the pricier side, but the variety is huge and the convenience factor is hard to argue with when you’re trying to maximize your day.

Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

I would book and stay again! Best breakfast buffet or our Japan trip. The free bathroom essentials including face masks and creams that changed each day was very nice. Hotel staff friendly and the rooms were spacious and clean. They have a happy hour and music nightly. Highly recommend!

The hotel’s location was great. Had to walk a little to get to the main areas but not a long walk. I felt a little catfished with the size of the rooms though. The room looked much bigger in pictures than it was in person. The room was so small to get ready in that we spent most of our time in the lounge/balcony area. The lounge area was probably our favorite part because the rooms are tiny. I expected rooms in Tokyo to be tiny but even this one in Osaka was tiny.

It was right off from the subway station and river walk.
The only thing I had an issue with was laundry. It is washer and dryer combo and the clothes doesn't get dry.
I did extra dry but jean never get completely dried.
Other than that, everything was great

Clean rooms with large, warm showers. The lobby is also clean and has all the amenities you could need. Rooms have kettles, pajamas, hair dryer, shoe cleaning supplies, and safes. Water and ironing rooms available. Staff is helpful and communicates in English well.

The staff were very helpful and the room was very comfortable with a spacious bathroom and rain shower. One small drawback was the bench seat in the room which had a pre-existing stain. The laundry facilities were very good and we enjoyed the lounge for drinks and appetizers. Location was excellent and was right next to the subway.

the main lobby of the hotel is at the second floor, but the hotel itself is right beside a station and family mart so really helpful. also, it smells so good walking into the hotel near the elevators which gave us a nice welcoming atmosphere. staff were great and easy to talk to as they can speak in English. they also give you a free token for free drinks as a welcome gift, they also have other events at night in their lounge area. the rooms itself were your typical small rooms but it did have enough space to open our large luggages. the bathroom was pretty spacious, especially the shower room (which was different compared to the first hotel we stayed at). there was plenty of counter space to put your toiletries and such, making it helpful for longer stays. the only downside that we found was the funny smell every time we flush the toilet. but other than that, they have plenty of laundry machines on the 9th floor, they have a simple gym to get a quick workout in, they also have a restaurant you can order food, there are plenty of food places nearby (like a bakery and restaurants). they also have blackout curtains so we got a pretty restful sleep even if the sun rises really early.

I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Japan. The room was clean, staff was helpful, and the checkout process was super easy.

This hotel is a really great value. There is a train station literally next to the front entrance. Lovely quiet neighborhood but only a short distance to the hustle and bustle of Dotobori. Daily housekeeping is a great perk and on site laundry too. The breakfast is nice but a little pricey, however there is a convenience store nextdoor that is 24h and has all the basics grab and go food you could want.

Had a great stay! I would recommend to anyone staying in Osaka. Loved the convenience of the metro station being right outside the hotel door and a decent commute to all the notable locations like Dotombori or even USJ. Traveling to Kyoto wasn’t bad either. 45-55mins on the metro. Staff came in and cleaned everyday which I thought it as every 3 days but it helped the room stay in order while we were out on tours.

The hotel was well situated above Kitahama station and it can also be accessed via the subway from Yodabashi station which provides access to the Shin-Osaka station.

The room was smaller than we were expecting but it was still comfortable for 2 people, the breakfast option was very good with a good selection to cater for a range of palettes.

A range of amenities was provided in the reception area where guests can pick the amenity they require.

The Royal Park Canvas is a good option which is away from the hustle and bustle of the Dotonburi area but with good transport option so the city can be explored very easily from the doorstep of the hotel.

This hotel is a vibe (boutique) in a walkable thriving neighborhood. It’s contemporary and comfortable. My biggest gripe with this place was the lack of outlets in our room. There was absolutely no electrical outlet in the bathroom, which made curling hair a nightmare. You always need electricity in a bathroom and there was nowhere to plug anything in. The hairdryer was hardwired into the wall. It was also difficult to find outlets around the bed and in the bedroom.

The good thing about the hotel is that it is literally steps away from me train station, which was super convenient. It practically sits on top of the train station. Also, there is a large lounge area with a coffee bar and a regular bar so you can just sit there all night and play connect for and chill out if you want to. It’s a very good vibe. They just need to work a little harder on the electrical outlet issue.

The shower was great, the water pressure was great, and they gave wonderful amenities. I might stay here again if I knew I wouldn’t have to struggle so much in the morning styling myself in the mirror. 😜

My stay at this property was perfect.
The room was nice and clean.
It is right next to Kitahama subway station which is incredibly convenient.
The bathroom layout was set in a way that I could sit down on the toilet without bumping my knees on the wall.
The first floor had unlimited coffee, espresso, matcha latte, sparkling water which was amazing.
The gym had everything I needed for a good workout: a rowing machine, treadmill, a bench and weights.
There was a full skincare kit available at reception: cleanser, serum and moisturizing milk

Great experience at The Royal Park Canvas Osaka Kitahama. The hotel is simple yet very functional, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is excellent — having direct access to the subway right next door made getting around Osaka incredibly easy. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable, which made it perfect to rest after long days exploring the city. Would definitely stay here again.

The location of this property is great, just a few minutes from multiple train lines. There are many restaurants and convenience stores in every direction that you go. My only dislikes were that the property was a little outdated and there are only 2 washer/dryers in the entire building and it’s impossible to find a time they aren’t in use.

This was the only hotel we stayed at during our trip to Japan, where the room size and design were quite close to a standard North American hotel. The staff were friendly, and the hotel was clean and easily accesible via public transit on the Kitahama line if necessary. I also enjoyed the amenities they offered, which included luxurious skin care and face masks. The hotel room bathroom was one level instead of the other cabin type bathroom designs common to Japanese hotels. I believe it was recently renovated, and definitely felt quite modern. I enjoyed the complimentary coffee in the lobby, as well as the ability to do our own pour overs. I would recommend staying here.

Our room was quiet, spacious and clean, with a great shower and comfy beds. Laundry facilities were appreciated. The location is in a quieter part of Osaka, but right on top of a metro station which made getting around very easy. Breakfast was good, although got a bit repetitive after a while. One disappointment was the advertised pour-over coffee wasn't available during breakfast and we had to make do with the machine.

We really appreciated the free drink token upon check in, the laundry facility which is just critical when doing international travel and the free coffee/tea in the lobby, just great for us! This hotel is more than extraordinary. I love everything about it. I’m sorry I didn’t know that they have different locations.
The staff goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. They’re attentive and respectful and this feels great when you’re visiting a foreign country.
Plenty to do around and the best news is, the metro line is 5 feet away and the Family Mart, next door. A dream.
I highly recommend the breakfast. It’s delicious and the variety is amazing. I give this property a 5 stars .

I gave this hotel 4 stars because my room was smaller than in all the other hotels in which we stayed. Barely able to walk around the beds. Aside from that, the hotel was very clean, the staff was helpful, and the breakfast offered was extensive, including salad, rice and curry, eggs, sausage, lox, granola, nuts, fruits, and more.

On the last day the manager went out of his way to help us label the new luggage we had purchased, which I especially appreciated.

Loved my stay at the Royal Canvas. This hotel is really nice, literally next door to an exit taking you to Kitahama station and about 3-4mins to an exit with an elevator.
Kitahama itself is a really nice place, you can walk along the river and in the park and its a nice change from the bustling tourist areas of Osaka at the end of the day. The laundry facilities are great, they have about 3-4 machines. The lobby has a bar and they have a DJ plus other events on some evenings which is nice
The room itself is clean and the staff including housekeeping are great
Definitely recommend staying here

This hotel is fantastic. Spotlessly clean bathroom, amazing shower pressure, super convenient transit access, beautiful park down the road, close to Osaka Castle, evening entertainment, high quality ample amenities. This was our first hotel in Japan and we were blown away. Complimentary coffee and tea drinks in the lobby were a pleasant and enjoyable extra touch (not just regular drinks too, but lattes, cappuccinos and matcha drinks). The lobby lounge doubles as a cafe/bar in the evenings and the space is beautiful. They provided shaving cream, skincare, and face masks as well which we loved. The room is a bit small and ours did not have a view, but the bed was comfortable and the room size didn't affect our stay in the least. You can open a checked bag on the floor and store a checked bag, as well as 2 carry on luggage items comfortably. All in all, highly recommended.

- Brilliant location right next to an underground station, only a few stops away from Namba or Umeda.
- Very fast and easy check in with a machine and helpful staff.
- Great facilities and amenities. I really liked the complimentary beauty products on offer, that is a great touch!
- Complimentary drink offered on arrival and a free coffee bar 24/hr.
- Good room space and nice bathroom.
- Nice breakfast served until 10am.

The hotel was clean , walking distance from 2 subway lines. The hotel lobby was on the 2nd floor which was kind of odd. But is connected to a family Mart which is a great place to stock up. The breakfast was very disappointing so I would skip and at 2k yen is very poor. The laundry machines are expensive , twice as much as my hotel in Rappongi and I had to dry them 3 extra times for a small load (sorry to anyone waiting to do laundry) , I ended up spending 5k yen to do the same amount of laundry that I did in Tokyo for under 1k yen. They do luggage forwarding but only take cash which was odd because every other place took card and this place charged me the most , you are probably better off going to the luggage forwarding down the street

I’ve been in Japan for almost a month and I’m sorry i didn’t know about this chain of hotels. It’s incredible and the metro is exactly 10 feet away. The neighborhood has a variety of upscale restaurants, especially the most famous sushi restaurant called Yamaha ( reservations needed.)
The staff is what will make me come back. They are beyond!
