My second time booking with APA. This particular hotel is conveniently located near 3 stations so it makes getting around easier. The rooms themselves (the single bed rooms) might be a bit small but as a solo travel it worked great, had everything I needed. Housekeeping was every third day and every time it was spotless and clean. I opted for the breakfast option and the food was great for hotel food. The kitchen staff were also friendly. The front desk staff are welcoming and spoke English. A gentleman guided me through the check-in process. Quick and easy. Check-out is easy as well. I opted for a three hour extension for ¥2,000/hour. Check out you just drop your room card in a box and that’s it. I plan to revisit this great country again and will gladly choose APA again too!

First timers stay at APA Hotel

This is the first time I ever stayed abroad in a hotel.So my experience with hotels is very, very, very new. The staff always help me out whenever I am able to.Whether it was english or via to google translate. Anytime I need umbrella anytime I needed any extra amenities.They're really good provide it. Police had everything for a soul traveler, including laundry and a downstairs dining area where I can have breakfast lunch and dinner. Ferry, copy with my stay and I would definitely come back again.

The room was tiny, but that’s just how Japan is. The wifi was terrible, I could barely get 1 MB. The bathroom had all toiletries you might need. It was a comfortable stay overall, the only bad thing it was the wifi.

Staff were helpful with my issues. Unfortunately the area is a bit inconvenient if you rely on JR pass since it's difficult to get to the Osaka Loop Line without metro, long transfer or lots of walking. The breakfast at this APA hotel had limited options compared to the one I stayed in Tokyo. And the map that the hotel provided for food option was in wrong direction.

This is a fantastic hotel, amazing value for money.

I lost my wallet in Kyoto and only realised when I arrived at this hotel. The staff helped me find my wallet ( I can’t speak Japanese) and were so very wonderful. I will never forget how incredibly kind they were and helped me get my wallet back with ££££ in it.

Good location near metro station, 7/11 and a great supermarket. Rooms are very small (this could be normal for Japan, although our next hotel was no where near this small) and pillows are so thin they are extremely uncomfortable. Friendly staff.

The hotel is new and clean but staff support service is very limited. Just a simple request like making restaurant booking could not even be assisted. No umbrella available for guests to borrow. Staff told me to buy one from a nearby convenience store when it was raining heavily outside. All you expect from the hotel is a small room with bed but no other services that most other hotels can offer.

Internet was very very slow, pillow wasn’t very uncomfortable and gave me neck and shoulder pain, hit water for the shower was very inconsistent no matter what time of day (even in the middle of the night I’d suddenly get cold water during my shower). Fit a short term stay it’s serviceable but for a long term stay I don’t know I’d recommend this particular hotel. After 28 day’s I had piles of towels and gowns and over a dozen bottles of water lines up in my room. I tried to o my have my room cleaned every second or third day but they kept leaving supplies outside my room.

I have stayed here before. It is a wonderful location, close enough (one stop via train or subway) to a major hub station (Umeda and Osaka stations) yet You away from the hustle and bustle. This hotel is close to shopping and Osaka castle.

Extremely small, every inch of space was used which was great. However room did not provide water the first night. Staff was extremely helpful on check in. The hotel was impossible to find and yet was so easy to access, my opinion would have been so much higher if there were directions that stated access from the subway gate 6 exit take a sharp right and first right and hotel is located on the left. Traveling in japan is difficult for a non Japanese speaker and this small gesture 1 sentence would have made a huge difference. It was a budget friendly hotel, and was in a safe area, but with no restaurants nearby.

Less than 5 minute walk to the minanorimachi station. Less than a mile from the best ramen I’ve ever had, ichiran. Adequate sized room, for Japan, for 2 people with luggage. You can stash your luggage under the bed. Mine was stuffed and overpacked and still fit so I’m going to say basically any large suitcase will fit. Friendly and professional staff.

Room was a bit small but hotel was quite nice and very modern. Big TV in the room and wifi was good. Breakfast could have been better. It didn't seem as though food was replenished, so as we went down quite late, there wasn't much food left. Hotel was very near to nearest subway station, which made it very easy to get around Osaka.

This hotel was located just 5 minutes walk from station. There were JR line & two subway lines, very convenient access to major city. There also was famous shopping arcade within walking distance from hotel so that you can enjoy meals and shopping. All staffs were very friendly and helpful, especially I was very impressed by Ms. Yokota's hospitality. I totally enjoyed my stay and I will stay again.

Nice hotel and check in staff. Very small room though. Pillows were terrible (like hard bean bags) but that appears to be a running theme for most places in Japan. Bed only changed every other day. Location is a 2 min walk from the metro which is great!

I stayed here during my first ever trip to Japan and although my Japanese is still quite limited, the staff were wonderfully helpful, so that it was no problem to communicate.
The room was comfortable and had everything one might need. I especially loved the complimentary slippers, that was a nice gesture and a fun thing to be able to take with you on your first trip to the country.
The breakfast buffet was also very enjoyable. They have a wide spread with a variety of food stuffs to choose from. The dining room is quite small, but even during busier mornings, I haven't seen them run out of space.
Overall I am very glad I chose APA Higashi Umeda Minami Morimachi-eki as the first hotel during my trip to Japan. Should I return to Osaka for another few nights, I will certainly consider returning here!

The property was close to a station and walkable to restaurants and sights. I don't understand why people only rated this a 3.9. If you compare the price against what you get, its a 5-star hotel. It's clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. Yes, the rooms are small but for $70 in Osaka, what do you expect. It's basically NY city. I've paid much more for a whole lot less in NY. And compared to AirBNB this is a better option. The comparable AirBNB locations at this price range were not very clean based on the reviews or you don't have a private room.

If I were in this area again this would be my first choice of places to stay in the area.

I choose APA hotels for they usually have good amenities for a fair price. Always clean room, clean bathroom, friendly staff and convenient location. I was provided by the cable of c-type for my phone for I couldn't charge it using my own. The only disadvantage I found is that they don't have water dispenser in the hotel. Tap water is drinkable though but it is still a bit inconvenient.

Единственный недостаток - нет кулера в отеле. Написано, что вода из под крана пригодна к питью, но я все равно кипятила на всякий случай. Это не очень удобно. Все остальное на высшем уровне.

We have stayed in several hotels since landing in Japan. This has been the smallest room of all if them. While in Tokyo we stayed at the APA by the National Diet Building and had the most wonderful experience. I was expecting this APA hotel to be similar. In many respects it is, but the room is about 30% smaller. The width of the room is equal to the length of the bed. My husband slept next to the wall and had to climb over me to get in or out of the bed. The desk is small so we couldn't use it for storage and eating a meal at. We chose to use the desk as storage so we ate our breakfasts on the edge of the bed. We were grateful to have a mini fridge and kettle in the room. The microwave is communal and located on the 2nd floor which was not problematic at all. The front desk is very helpful and even provided a spoon when we were in need. Location is ideal. 15 minute walk to the JR line or 3 min walk to the metro line. I don't think I would stay here again because the rooms were just too small compared to others in the country. But if you dont mind that, then you do get an upscale feel from this hotel for very little money AND it is close to public transportation.

Exit 6 minami-morimachi station stairs lead to street, turn right and then immediately right again, walk about 100 yards and turn right again you will see the hotel on the left.
AP grill had eel for 1000 yen, real bargain. I didn’t try the breakfast as I found ample eateries In The area open in the early morning.
Room is small as you should expect in Japan. Ours was one double bed. There is just enough room for a desk and chair. Bathroom had separate shower so that the bathroom stays dry. Hotel provides soap, shampoo, towels, razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste and more. The TV is a huge LED set. There is automation so that you can control all the lights and HVAC from the bed.
Very clean, very modern, daily housekeeping. Laundry facilities on second floor. I can find no fault.

This place is good value for your money. It is well connected by metro where you can very quickly go south to Namba, Dotonbori, etc. The area itself is very quiet at night. The room is small, as with all APA hotels, but has everything you need. The walls are thick, no issues with loud neighbors. Staff was nice. Cleaning staff was able to clean room late (2-3pm).

Location is great just 1 minute from the closest metro (exit 6 minami morimachi, there is also a lift if you have heavy luggage) and also within walking distance to Osaka station (20 min). I took a single room and I found it perfect for my needs. The bathroom is quite compact; if you are tall you might struggle but as I'm petite it was fine. The hotel is new so everything was in good condition, however I found it disappointing that the headboard had not been dusted. It is a kind of shelf just above your head and it was very noticeably dusty both days I stayed, as well as the tissue box that sat on top of here. The rest of the room felt clean. I also found it strange that I used the mug on the first day and housekeeping did not exchange it for a clean one when they gave extra towels, changed the bin. They took the complimentary pyjamas and did not replace them for the second day.
Overall it was good value for money and I would stay again if they ironed out the minor housekeeping and cleaning issues.
