Crown Paradise hotel is great for families with children. You'll get exactly what you pay for, knowing it's an old hotel that need some renovations. Great staff ESPECIALLY ***Jesus*** at the steakhouse and Carlos at italian. All Luis at bars are nice and funny. Room is old and furnitures too, but it's really clean and taken care off. All the rooms seems to have balcony with an ocean view which is great when your kids are napping to relax and enjoy. Pool are clean. You pay for a 3 stars hotel you'll get 3 and half, just don't go there expecting a 5 stars hotel. Check-in is crazy long as stated in a lot of reviews. It would be the main thing to fix. Not normal to wait 90 min to check-in. For the rest, they should make a better use of there oceanside as they have NO outdoor tables at ''à la carte'' restaurant. Thanks for the stay Crown Paradise, hope to see you again!

View was amazing. Staff was even better. However had a constant water leak in ceiling that caused a major problems. Construction wise, it left nothing to the imagination. Elevators only work for short periods of time. Nothing was 24hrs. Even room service was spotty. Over 2hrs for delivery. Was told I could pay the $5 room service fee in cash, was still charged for the fee.

We had a beautiful view, food was plentiful. The hotel charged me $250. More when we got there? I was told I owed $12. And was very disappointed with this fee.

The room was very outdated, had a mildew smell, the freezer didn't work and we reported it several times and nothing was done outside of someone coming to remove it from the cabinet and just leaving it sitting against a wall the entire stay. There were no face towels in our room on arrival and we asked the front desk for them several times. Yet they took hours to bring them and when our room was refreshed they still forgot the face towels. The elevators didn't work properly and got stuck open multiple times. The worst instance was our departure date where we had to walk from the 8th floor down to the lower level. I wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone.

This was a great family resort. We were greeted promptly and actually received a free room upgrade which really made a huge difference in our trip. The food selection was decent and they had good options for kids. Th activities by the pool were great and the beach was fairly well groomed despite the amout of kelp floating in. There was nightly entertainment for the kids and adults. The games room (pool, ping pong, foosball, mini golf could use more attention. It seemed to be in high demand especially in the evenings and there was always lack of golf balls, clubs, and/or there was a waiting list to do the activities. We travelled at the end of feb which is a busy time of year but it was always a fight to get chairs at the beach or pool. Also dinner reservations were hard to come by. If you didnt log on exactly at 8am when online booking opened, you couldnt get a dinner reservation. The fridge was always stocked with beer, soda, water, and juice boxes for kiddos. They did a great job of catering to kids with a kids drink menu at every bar and a well, stocked ice cream bar every lunch and dinner. This resort goes the extra mile by having a make your own mimosa or bloody mary bar in the buffet at breakfast, as well as having a small coffee/continental breakfast station in the lobby for early travellers. The food was always well cooked and no one in our group became ill during our week long stay (which is a common occurrence), the fruit and salad bar always looked clean and fresh

The food was terrible and my whole family got food poisoning and were extremely sick. It was not just us that was getting sick it was consistent through thd whole resort. The entertainment at the resort could and use improvement.

I been to Cancun several times. This place has been so far the worst resort ever. Food is terrible everywhere. The reservation at 8 Am you can’t make anymore even tho it opens at 8. The pool is really cold. Same pool food everyday nothing changed. The buffet was the same food for lunch and dinner just move them around to sem like it’s new. The bedroom was the worst bed ever very small and they say it’s a queen bed. Was with my family of 4 and we all slept really bad for the six days. Not coming back here ever again.

Rooms were clean and cleaned daily by staff. They also did a good job stocking the mini fridge. We did lose power one morning, but it wasn't out too long.

Great service, good food and drink selection. Restaurant reservations are a little glitchy and elevators are slow. Lounge chairs by the pool and beach are gone very quick, people just leave their towel or their stuff on it and are gone for hours. Amazing views from the balconies and room amenities are good!

Pros: All the staff and people were great. Room was clean and had a good view. Beach is nice and simple and there are several bars everywhere around the resort. Quick trip to/from the airport in under 30 minutes, plenty Ubers and other transport around if you want to get somewhere off Res.

Half our party got sick off the food. The bartenders are great but the liquor options are limited and low quality. The check in process can easily take an hour plus. We have a 2yo and 4yo and they were either too young or too old (the childcare area is only for 3 and under) for the various activities at the resort. All the activities at the resort are only open a few hours per day (i.e. rock-climbing, water slides, etc). Beds and pillows suck.

Have stayed at quite a few different places over the years and this was easily our worst all inclusive experience ever. Food was consistently bad, rooms in poor shape, housekeeping wasn’t great(my son’s bed was made without a sheet multiple times, towels removed from room, but not all replaced), lacking in amenities for the number of people staying there and noticed a number of unhygienic practices in regards to the food (all 15 people in our group got sick at some point, as well as most others we met while there). 10 adults in our travel group and we were all very disappointed with our choice of resort.

The staff was wonderful other than the front desk. I was located on the left side of the hotel next to the RUI. It was so loud for so many hours that you couldn't enjoy yourself.

During the 4 nights I was there, they never changed my towels. I put them on the floor for them to change, and they only put 2 folded towels and the others on the shower door. We had to use clean towels from the pool. Everything else was fine.

We all got sick therefore left the do not disturb sign on our door which stopped water bottle restock, well I called down and asked they come to our room multiple times and it never happened. This hotel is obviously overcrowded. It is very difficult to find a place at the beach and pools. Personal looks tired and not friendly. The lines are everywhere. There are only two elevators in the main building, therefore you need to wait. My wife got a food poisoning I was trying to arrange a meeting with the hotel manager. She obviously ignored me.

I feel that the whole trip was pretty mediocre. I was excited about the great deal, but sometimes you do get what you pay for. If you're looking for a cheap vacation away on a beach, you got it. Good take aways from this stay: the staff was great, everyone was friendly and fun! Shout out to Dr. Gabby, the massage therapists at the spa, and Carlos at aquaworld for saving our vacation after my partners back injury and both of our bouts of food poisoning. That being said, the food was a little sketchy; lots of little kid's hands all over everything at the buffet, quality of the food was iffy, but there was a nice selection of vegetarian and vegan options! The lines for the buffet in the morning were annoying, as well as trying to get a reservation at any of the restaurants. The pools are not heated, but when visiting in February, they're pretty chilly. Even the jacuzzis weren't very warm, and the hot water/water pressure in the room was kind of spotty. In gernal the whole place looks like it needs a good deep clean and a few repairs, but it was a good price. Would I book again here? Probably not.

The room was clean , the view was amazing ! The bartender luis and server ruby at the main bar by where you check in were such nice people, they were very welcoming ,they remembered our names and our favorite drinks! We would stop by everyday to say hi to them they are very special people . Jesus who helped us with our luggage was awesome , he made sure we knew our way around and answered all our questions.

The billiard tables were in poor condition and not level. The hotel programs and entertainment were averag and great for kids, but not ideal for adults looking for a more refined or relaxing experience.
I would rate it as a 4 star experience but i think the hotel deserves to be in the top rated ones so i will rate it as 5 and hope they will fix the problems!

The food was average, but nothing to get excited about. Rooms were ok, but I found the beds to be quite uncomfortable and our shower had paint falling from the ceiling.
The overall layout of the resort is quite compact, which is good for some groups, but not if you are looking for a resort with a bit more variety throughout your stay.

A lot of our group got very ill at this resort and it was a family trip . I am concerned with the food handling and that includes that we all avoided produce and washed our teeth with bottled water from the onset.

Did not get the room that I reserved , wasn’t able to check in, because I was told reservation was only for one person instead of 8. I went 5 times to the desk and speaking with 3 different managers, Nothing was done on their part. Worst manager there was Nataly Woo, super rude and would not recommend. The rooms here were fantastic. The staff was very attentive and very friendly. The food was great in the buffet and excellent in the à la carts. The beach was great. The pools were great. Everything was fantastic for me my wife and the kids. We really enjoyed our time here.

They were very dishonest about the kids club. They made it sound like you could leave them for how and have some time to yourself here and there,which was my plan, but the baby patadise-upto 3 years old is only open 1 hr 45 min a day. Also the 4-12 year olds have the massive water park thing but only 1-2 activities a day, the area is massive with 2 pools and11 slides and looks where they wouldn't be seen from afar. Somehow they think it's safe for to here to only be 2 staff on that situation. I tried to ask if they'd make an exception and let my daughter barely 4 to just use the baby p as radise one because she's loved the trips and I'd feel that she's safe and despite talking to 4 people and mentioning it's a safety issue, they wouldn't budge. Really bad customer service. Also, they literally don't answer the phone calls from the rooms-they admitted this. Long line ups at reception any time of day.

The pools were good but not heated so my little kids didn't want to go in. They are supposed to refill the mini bar each night and they did not do that do we were always having to go downstairs to the bar to get water. Furthermore...the food was horrendous. The hotel's location was excellent, which was definitely a highlight of our stay. The pools were enjoyable for our family, and there were decent activities available that kept everyone entertained.
However, there were some notable disappointments. The buffet food quality was below expectations, with the same limited options served at both lunch and dinner, which got repetitive quickly. The towel service at the pool was frustratingly slow - we often waited up to 30 minutes just to get towels, which really detracted from our relaxation time.

This was our 3rd time visiting as a family and likely the last. The resort's grounds have improved over the years. The staff was great, especially Jesus, the Bellhop (great to see him again), and Nieve in the Palapas, who was always so helpful and accommodating. With that said, the food quality has gotten worse over time (it was never great), and the beach was not kept as clean as in prior visits. We witnessed over and over people “reserving” lounge chairs at the pool and on the beach (against the club rules), and in some cases, on the beach, there were groups who had reserved chairs in the sun and the shade, bouncing back and forth, leaving them empty half the time. Also, the female “lifeguard” on the beach was seen on her phone for extended periods, not even looking at the water. The evening entertainment or shows were low-budget and slightly cringeworthy.

Overall everything was so good the fisherman restaurant and the employees were very nice and friendly. The kids paradise water should be warm the pool water was so cold and employees should know English better it was really hard to communicate.

We (2 Canadian families with kids) just concluded a 3 day vacation at the resort. Maintaining a resort with 100s of visitors every day is no joke and the team did a great job. The premises were always clean, including the pool water. Food is always available, either in the form of snacks or buffet meals but as mentioned in reviews, it tasted just okay. It was bland and flavorless and the kids didn't eat much despite of numerous options but it was prepared with pretty good hygiene standards. Food is the first thing that go wrong in trips, especially at places where it is prepared in mass but none of our families got sick, not even a bit. A slight allergic reaction or stale/rotten food would have ruined our vacation but it didn't. Bars at located at prime locations. There are always some or the other activities to explore. On the pool, they hosted a pool volleyball with random members from different countries and it was super fun. The beach is just steps away. Game zones, kids zones are there for exploration. We had a MJ show on Friday and the host was an absolute spitting image of MJ..including the voice. Overall, pretty good resort for families. Food and the elevator availability could be improved. We will visit again if food reviews improve.

The restaurant reservation system is awful. There's a limited time to make reservations 8am-2pm, but I was told that because of the number of guests making reservations you can't get the QR code to work. There's no other way to complete your reservation.

One downside was it was difficult to get a reservation at any of the restaurants. The reservation needed to be completed daily at 8am which is awful! Who wants to get up that early everyday on vacation?? Our first 2 assigned rooms were not very clean or updated but the staff made sure to make it right by upgrading our room.

This place has a lot of great potential. It is a large resort with several pools and entertainment for both adults and children. Entertainment staff are very friendly and fun. We particularly enjoyed Fernanda. The rest of the staff is hit or miss. The buffet food is not very good but the restaurants had pretty good food (if you're lucky enough to get a reservation). I witnessed staff exchanging used gloves and washing hands with their gloves on while handling food. So, no surprise that my wife and I both ended up extremely sick with what felt like food poisoning the last day we stayed there. I'm giving them 3 stars because, if not for the food poisoning, we would have had a great time. If they invested and trained their staff on proper food handling, I think this could be a good resort.
