Large clean room with all amenities. We regularly return to this hotel or the sister Huong Sen hotel when in HCMC. I love the rooftop pool and the handy location right near Nguyen Hue St and the boats to Vung Tau (where we go to visit family). The breakfast buffet is tasty with plenty of variety for all tastes.

Great hotel near Nguyen Hue St

Very nice hotel with super friendly staff and lovely pool right in the heart of District 1. We’ve stayed here before and at their sister hotel along the road. We booked a basic room but the other rooms are nicer with a view (have stayed in these before). They gave us a breakfast to take as our flight left early and were super lovely. Hoping to stay again soon!

Property is quite old and dated. For the price, there are better options available. The first night we were given a room with mold on the telephone cord in the bathroom. We also had some ants issues and the staff had to come up and spray the room and our stuffs. We had to change room and did laundry because of the ants. Overall, service was good for staying guests but they were not too nice to visitors

Staff were excellent and very helpful. The hotel is located in a walkable area. There is lots going on and many different restaurants close by. The included buffet breakfast was good. The pool was very small. They show 4 chairs in the picture but there is only 3. 4 chairs would leave no room to walk. The camera lens that they used for the photo does not reflect real life.

Good Choice in District 1

Generally for this price with a small pool and gym, and in district 1, it is as good as it gets.
Security is not bad too but though might be over doing it as they lock the hotel doors, past midnight.

great location, close to many shops, 15 minute walk to ban than market and staff are vey kind. rooms are big and bed was fantastic. breakfast is very good, accept some of the food was not warm enough have given feedback to receptionist. they have a hotel on the same street called Huong sen hotel which is owned bye the same owner, if you show your room card you can use their sauna, gym, its a bigger hotel.

Nice budget hotel in the centre of town. The infinite pool on the roof had views of the river. Breakfast was modest but tasty and had all the typical Western and Asian fixings, as well as pho every day. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

a fabulous vacation stay

it was a great choice of hotel for our family during our 3 weeks stay in Saigon. All services were superb from room accommodations to cleanliness to services. Hotel vicinity has it all: big, small restaurants, street vendors, clothing stores, shopping malls....all just a walking distance. Last but not least, hotel rate was incredibly reasonable. Will stay at Huong Sen Annex on our next trip.

Special family vacation time

It was our first time staying at Hương Sen Annex. Comparing to its Sister hotel “Hương Sen” where we had stayed a few years ago, the Annex offered no difference in providing excellent customer service, room cleanliness et al.....
Their rate is also reasonable as it is located in the heart of Saigon.

Amazing location, exceed expectations.

The staff there were very helpful and the location is within walking distance of main attractions and wonderful restaurants. The room is big and very clean. But the water pressure on the 2F and the wifi can be improved. Will definitely come back to the same hotel. Thank you for a great stay.

Expectations exceeded!

The height of the bathtub made getting into and out of the shower somewhat difficult. I travel extensively and find a simple shower walk-in seems to be more prevalent than what your Hotel has. The quality of the breakfast was excellent!.Very late/Early morning check-ion managed with minimum fuss in a most professionally friendly manner!

It's a new building and at a convenient location (2 blocks to HCMC Square). Nice and very friendly people but limited English. Same breakfast varieties everyday. Most are good in the room, except low water pressure in shower and no iron and iron board available because of fire hazard. Gym room and spa are located in the main building which is located 1 block from this annex building.

Huong Sen, is clean , comfortable and located in good area, easy access and lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Staff very friendly and proficient at check in and no issues at all during my stay. Wifi could have been a tad faster but no big deal. Breakfast was OK.. basic foods nothing special .Good value hotel in excellent position.

WHAT IS NOT TO LIKE?!?

Excellent in every way. The reception staff and doormen were 100% helpful, patient,warm and proactive. Check in and check out were painless and prompt. Meals in the restaurant were great, priced well. The breakfast was a great start to the day, with plenty of variety and the tables served promptly and courteously.

Great pool for hot months. But...

You get what you pay for.

Positives: great roof top pool. Amazing staff. They were the best thing about this hotel. Location. Within walking distance to all main attractions (if you don’t mind walking) and lots of great food.

Cons: Room smelt musty and mouldy. It also just felt damp. Little ventilation even with the bathroom vent going to the whole time. Little sound proofing and being there on a Friday and Saturday I found the bass of nearby music reverberated through the whole room keeping me awake.

Despite this it’s not a bad hotel. Decent price. The pool was fantastic. Would likely stay here again.

Described as a 3 star hotel for the price, I would nominate an extra star for the room and the staff. It was right on the south western fringe of the city but there was enough places around that you could access for food, drink and things to do. Most of the \"action\" spots were located in a 10 to 15 minute walk. Would definitely recommend to people on a medium budget looking for a place to stay.

First time in Ho Chi Minh City and enjoyed it greatly. An amazing range of food, at a price to fit even the tightest budget. Some wonderful rooftop restaurants which are well worth a visit also. Definately will be back!

A modern hotel in a good location

The Huong Sen Annexe is very well positioned and has modern, small rooms. The staff are pleasant and welcoming. It is a good choice for a short stay but the room had no outside window which was a limitation. The wifi was good as was the choice at breakfast.

Pleasant surprise!

This hotel is in a great location - close to some fabulous restaurants and shopping. The room was a generous size with the biggest bed I’ve ever seen. Pillows were comfortable. The aircon was adjustable to how I wanted it. Bathroom was clean and spacious. My floor was quiet and I had a lovely balcony looking out to the street. The front desk was friendly and helpful. I was so relieved the hotel had a pool- it was a wonderful retreat after a hot day. Breakfast had a lot of variety. In all, I was very happy with this hotel and I found it hard to believe it was only 3 starts. It deserves a higher rating.

The Huong Sen Annex is located a few doors from the main Huong Sen Hotel.The staff are friendly and always helpful. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet.
The Hotel is situated within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants.
I recommend this Hotel to anyone who appreciates a smaller, more personal Hotel.
