Love this hotel and staff. I always enjoy getting the club level rooms for the evening drinks and heavy hors d’oeuvres. Great location to river boat pickup, upscale grocery, DHL, not too far from Ben Thanh market and several taylors. Roof top pool and spa but not as thrilled about this spa. I had extreme cramping in my legs and they were weird about it. Next hotel had no issues with me.

I used the roof pool. When I walked out of water, I fell down terribly hitting my left body due to slippery floor. The hotel staff kindly took me to a hospital nearby and no bone fracture was found. It was already five days ago, but I still have pains on my shoulder and back and associated problems. All the costs was paid by myself. It is recommended to avoid slippery floor around the pool.

The junior suit that we had has around-the-corner balcony. The view is great! My daughter loves the grilled pomfret at the dinner so much. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. The only area for improvement is that the staff seem not well trained and sometimes made mistakes maybe because the hotel is newly opened.

The hotel and rooms are incredibly clean an decorated. Our stay was wonderful thanks to the staff. Everyone is very friendly and our rooms were cleaned each day. The breakfast buffet is excellent with lots of different options. The river view rooms are quite lovely and the location of the hotel is perfect. It is within walking distance to almost all major sightseeing places. Great price for location and service.

I got a massage and the locker key broke causing me to be late to a call
These cabinets in the mail locker room next to the spa are very substandard compared to the rest of the hotels in Saigon
To be honest to replace them all in Vietnam would probably cost $1000 but right now they are very dysfunctional

The Renaissance Saigon was a great way to visit Ho Chi Minh City for a first timer. Located right beside the Song Saigon, it offered an amazing river view, if you booked one of those rooms. The staff were amazing, and the onsite food service was great. The hotel itself was located within a 30 minute walk of a lot of the main tourist sites, the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Nguyen Hue ramble, the Independence Palace and Ben Thanh Market. And bike and taxi service were easily available if you wanted to visit places further away in the city. Would recommend for anyone visiting HCMC!

The hotel staff, from the reception to dining lounge to room cleaning, are all extremely polite, attentive, helpful. Special thanks the the General Manager - Alexander Schoell, Front Desk Manager Le Đoàn Duy Khang for their prompt responses to minor issues of the foreign guest behaviors. We truly appreciated the attention and resolve.
The hotel is located right in the middle of DistrIct One of the city, walking distance to lot of fine dining and eateries as well of the Japanese town nightlife. The best view of the river toward the new Baxon bridge and luxurious Thảo Dien in the distance, and the beautiful Me Linh Square.

Room was ready around noon - 2 hours before check in time. Reception desk member was very professional and courteous. Offered me free breakfast although not included in my reservation. Also got my room extended by 2 hours for the following day’s check out. I know it’s dependant on how busy they are but they proactively provided that without me asking. The hotel is perfectly located for tourists (great riverfront views) and easy walking distance to most tourist sites. My stay was really enjoyable.

The hotel is doing it's best to prove 5 star property, service is truly exceptional.
Down points to improve:
1. Static shower heads - forget washing your private parts . No moving shower head nor bidet.
2. Breakfast disappointing, the freshness is not top class and the bakery is not hot and crisp like it should be. Custom Omelette station needed and fresh breads too.
More flexibility with late checkout will be appreciated.

Gym located on 21st floor and caused a lot of pounding noise at 6am in the morning. They have to move my room to the lower level on the other side. No late checkout offer even though I am a gold elite Marriott Bonvoy. Very disappointed.

Very good location but the rooms are very old, must be renovated from the bathroom to the bedrooms. In addition the bath towel sizes are very small. Loby, restaurant is looking good but not the rooms. A lazy shower and all the faucets must be renewed. It is not Mariot Bonvoy standard. Very dissapointed.

The location is very good. The room is fully equipped and clean. The internet signal is very strong. The staffs are great helpful and they can speak English well. The international breakfast is perfect. The VIP access is luxury. We can check in and have our rooms before the regular check in time. The upgrade from city view to river view and a late check out are also very nice.

The staff was simply amazing. Truly the best hotel experience My wife and I have ever had. Upon checking in, I explained to to the check in staff Triet that there was a double booking of my room AND. I explained that the second night was my 28th wedding anniversary. She scheduled a complimentary bottle of bubbling wine, gave us a very nice anniversary card and a setting of chocolate covered strawberries for our anniversary. Secondly, she personally worked through the double booking and her hard efforts resulted in one of the charges being cancelled thank you Triet for your tenacity and your caring heart.

Additionally important was the staff in the club lounges and the 1st floor restaurant staff. They were always caring (thank you to Dang in the Club lounge) and forever smiling.

My wife and I want to give a personal thank you to Ms Nhu Nguyen for her dedicated ways, caring heart (kokoro) and her striving for perfection. She made a point of memorizing our preferences for drinks on the second morning and brought our desires without a word spoken. She was amazing and she never stopped smiling. She warmed our hearts with infectious attitude and she easily grew on us. Thank you for the great experience and enriching our hearts.

This property tries to nickel and dime customers any way possible. I had 2 rooms booked at property, one through expedia and one direclyt booked through marriott. The standard room was cheaper through expedia, the the govt rate was cheaper for directly booking marriott for the breakfast packaged for a total of 8 nights each. One room we had 2 adults and the other room we had 2 adults and 2 kids (1 and 3 years old).

On the fourth day of our 8 nights, we needed to check out the following day. I called marriott direclty and cancelled the remaining days which was approved as the rates booked directly were standard and not prepaid rate. I called expedia and and hotel to cancel

Stench room given

Was given a stench room. Request for change of room successfully. The room should be inspected before given the go ahead to allow customer to stay. Not sure if it is due to neighbours of the rooms but the room was very noisy in the night with knocking of objects etc till over midnight and early morning the noise came again. Had one frustrated and sleepless night before moving to new room.

Within walking distance of many of the tourist attractions.
An amazing variety of exceptional food at the included breakfast.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
A room with a view of the river is worth the extra few bucks.
It was a bit strange to only have light controls and electrical outlets on one side of the bed, but so did my hotel in Cambodia - so perhaps this is a regional thing?

Great location on the riverfront. The lobby bar is excellent. The rooftop bar and swimming pool suffer from overly loud Muzak. Views from roof top bar are superb.
I had a driver view room which was a good size but a little dated when compared to the public areas.
All in all good value.

When we first arrive we were given a room with two twin bed even though the reservation was clearly made for a king size bed , the explanation for it : sorry we just don’t have it for you .The room was definitely not up to 5 star standard far from it . The carpet was absolutely filthy, the bathroom : no where to plug your hairdryer..just use the one in the room next to the bed . We had an issue were we needed the hotel managers help at first he was actually hiding from us , when we finally corner him , we discover that helping us was to much work for him ( no customer service what so ever ) . In summary: this is the worst experience at Renaissance hotel And pretending that this is a 5 star hotel is very misleading.

If you are looking to stay in a Hotel in District 1 that is central to all the tourist attractions this is a great option. Located on the River, so it means a two minute walk to any cruise bookings as the wharf if directly opposite. The buffet breakfast is great and has lots of options. The pool on the 21st floor was wonderful and was well staffed for food and drinks. The bar in the lobby has small bands most nights and you can sit and have a drink and people watch.
