This was our favourite resort in the Seychelles. It was beautiful with special design touches everywhere. The breakfast & dinner buffets were delicious, well-presented and an offered great variety to choose from. The pool and beach area were luxurious and enjoyable. The staff were well-trained, helpful and very friendly. Special mention to the following exceptional employees: Yashiv - restaurant server
Kamala - nail salon
Rubel - pool and beach area
Emon - breakfast egg station
These four are shining stars who made our holiday extra memorable!

Un Domaine tout à fait Exceptionnel !
Nous avons tout adoré. Tout d'abord, la chambre 230 était WOW ! Super et belle en plus d'avoir une piscine privée.
La piscine commune était vraiment accueillante et le service parfait.
Les buffets du soir offerts avec la demie-pension étaient très bons et variés.
Nurute nous a donné un bon service.
Nous recommandons cette place à tout le monde et pensons déjà y revenir dans le futur si la vie nous le permet.

First, let me say that I had a fantastic stay! I had an amazing spa day and great day by the pool. I was, however, a bit surprised that the property seemed older than the photos and seemed a bit run down in some places. I know this is nit picking, but the lighting was really weird. The main lights in the room were almost like spot lights (instead of canned lights) and you couldn’t move them so it was hard to see sometimes because of where they were pointed. There were also weird blue and colored lights, intended for ambience, but I felt like they gave off more of a night club vibe rather than relaxing beach getaway. It felt a bit kitch and detracted from the overall experience. The other thing I found out of sorts was that the hotel did not offer free use of bicycles. Renting a bike for the day was easy and cheap. However, for the cost of this hotel, I would expect bike access to be included, especially for an island with no cars.

We found the best beaches and snorkeling ever!!

We had a wonderful stay here on the most beautiful Island. Great Residence suite, the food was great and a different theme every night as we bought the 1/2 board. We found the best ever beach after a 1/2 day buggy tour. Also the snorkeling 1/2 day boat cruise was so worth it, the. Hotel made all the arrangements. Le Digue is the best island experience we have had , all over the World.

A True Paradise!!

The welcome and service at this hotel is truly outstanding! From being collected at the port and driven to the hotel in the buggy, to then arriving and hearing the big gong being struck as we entered, was fantastic!

We had a garden suite residence room, and everything was completely perfect at all times. The hotel logistics even time the perfect turndown service while you are at dinner, which is excellent!

Food and drinks at the hotel are of the best quality around, and the Creole night was magnificent, with dancers and singers during the meal time.

The only negative that i could possibly give to this hotel, is the somewhat difficult access in and out of the swimming pool. The ladder needs to be longer, as it is a few feet off the bottom of the pool, and also the steps that many people choose to use, to enter to exit the pool, are so deep and have no handrail to assist you in or out. I saw many people struggle with this.

Apart from that, the hotel is wonderful, and with little change to the way the pool is accessed, the facility could be a lot better.

This was without doubt one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. We only stayed 2 nights (Alfreda was right - not long enough!), but I felt like a new woman when I left. So relaxed, rejuvenated and restored.
Every member of staff we encountered was helpful, kind and seemed happy - they clearly genuinely enjoy their jobs and the hotel environment. Shout out to Ajay at the Santosha restaurant, who served us beautifully at each meal.

The range of foods at breakfast and supper (we were half board) was wonderful; something for everyone and always some Creole options for those wanting an authentic Seychellois experience, which we loved.

The spa was incredible. It’s a totally private experience. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary so we opted for their “memorable together” experience, which included a body scrub and massage (we both fell asleep!) looking out over the trees to the ocean, followed by a private sauna and jacuzzi session with Canapés and champagne. It was perfect and Jaima and her colleague looked after us wonderfully, even adapting the treatment for my husband as he had painful sunburn.

Little touches, like the gorgeous scent of lemongrass in the rooms at night (which also helps keep mozzies away) and in-room fridge, all added to the experience.

Too many highlights to mention them all; we simply cannot wait to return!! Next time we’ll bring our children. Highly recommended!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Definitely worth spending 3 or four nights on this island to explore the many beaches.

What I liked:

(1) food was amazing. Both a la carte and buffet
(2) staff were great. Helpful and very kind. We felt very well treated
(3) the hotel pool is unreal. Look one way and you feel like you’re in the ocean (overlooking another tropical island). Look the other way and you feel like you’re in the jungle (with mountains in the background).

Things to improve:

1) we discovered two cockroaches in our bathroom. It’s a tropical place to be sure but for 900$ a night, we’d prefer to be the exclusive occupants of our rm.

2) we felt a bit nickled and dined at times. 8$ for water at dinner (even though dinner was included in our booking) and 15$ per person for bike rentals. Again for what we paid, it would be nice to include these.

3) rooms felt a bit basic for the 900$ a night. Think laminate floors etc.

Overall a great stay minus. Thanks for hosting us!! (Price above in CAD)

The hotel room was nice three stars because expedia didnt help me to cancel one night i couldnt advise im advance as my flight was delaying every hour when i realize i was not going to make it i try to cancel one night even i pay the insurance and it was useless thats how expedia steals your money, and well ok the next morning the room wasnt even ready even if we should have arrive the night prior, i got sick from the buffet and the day departing to the port station the driver make us wait 10 min so i decided to start walking, i wouldnt come back to this hotel its a waste of money from what u got

Le Domaine de L'Orangeraie is a luxury resort very close to the ferry berth and yet designed to ensure privacy and comfort. The property spans the main roadway with the pool, bar and restaurants on one side and villas on the other. Staff was friendly and attentive at all points of contact. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Buffet meals at the restaurant that overlooked the beach varied from evening to evening but were generally fine with lots of options, though the on demand grill options were best. Almost everything in LaDigue is walking or biking distance so resort is well placed. While the heat was intense and Seychelles is pricey, overall my stay was awesome! Would highly recommend!

Enjoyed this hotel. But they state that they are very eco friendly. They provide reusable water bottles so that the consume of plastic is to the minimum. But yet they give plastic water bottles in your room, roughly four.
Should Mandate no plastic bottles and have many refillable water stations and not just one at main entrance .

This hotel was one of the most amazing hotels we have been in! The room's outside shower and bathtub were so nice and sexy. The room was cosy and the porch was lovely. The Santosha restaurant has a wonderful buffet for both breakfast and dinner. The staff was always friendly, respectful and helpful. Ragah and Danisha (I hope I'm spelling their names right...) treated us like family. Definitely a place to stay!

We had a beautiful villa with a balcony, and with the most memorable outdoor spa-like tub/shower experience! Location was great and hotel transfer to and from the ferry was ideal! I wish we had ocean views from the room but being up in the hills felt very private. The pool was beautiful, and was the perfect place to watch the gorgeous sunset over the Indian Ocean. I was not given presidental suite as per my Expedia bookings. The lesser rooms added up to lesser amount. The difference was made up with two bottles of champagne and two spa treatments and special dinner. The difference was approximately $1500.00 that I was able to determine later. When one travels half way around the world to stay at a resort causing jet lag, at check in your not going to do some fancy calculation to determine fairness. One will probably accept the offer as we did and suffer the economic consequences. I blame the management for this. Was this a scam?

With limited options on La Digue, this was prob the best place.

The grounds are beautiful, parts of the property are a bit dated.

The restaurant staff were great and attentive, as were the bar staff, pool staff, and buggy drivers.

However, the front desk staff were not very pleasant, or helpful and this does stand out unfortunately. While the rest of the island was ultra friendly, the front desk staff not being friendly stuck out even further.

Perfect rooms in the trees

The hotel has a very nice structure in the middle of the trees. The room was definitely the star of the stay. Really comfortable, well decorated and integrated with the nature.The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food at the buffet restaurant was ok, but no much variety. The beach in front of the hot is lovely but not really suitable for swimming. The pool is great! You can rent a bike just in front of the hotel and can easily visit the island biking. The hotel is quite expensive but the rooms are really special. We recommend the hotel and would go back in the future.

The service was exceptional, the staff are so friendly and helpful.
The pool area is amazing, brilliant views across the sea and great for relaxing.
Make sure you rent a bike to explore the island as there are so many amazing beaches within easy reach of the hotel.
The room (garden suite) was spacious with a great little balcony area. The room decor is quite particular and goes with the vibe of island living but might not be to everybody's taste.
The buffet breakfast was ok, but sparkling wine is offered at breakfast time which was very unexpected.
For dinner we had one buffet which was not as good as other buffets we had in the Seychelles but there is a wide selection to choose from.
We had one night at the a la carte restaurant which was very good and highly recommended, there is a 20% off for those staying on half board package.
Overall would definitely stay again!

Wonderful Jungle Villas

The hotel is just amazing! It´s rather a 5 star hotel, not 4 star. The villa we´ve stayed was stunning, in the middle of the jungle with an outdoor bath and shower and a huge balcony. Service and staff was great and the only minus is the lack of a nice beach close to the hotel. They have a nice pool though.

Beautiful property. I stayed in a gorgeous villa with a terrific outdoor bathroom and amazing view from the large balcony. Unfortunately, while we could walk down the hill, coming up was quite steep and required golf carts. When you check in they say \"just call us at reception if you need a ride\". But then they often never arrived or it took 15 or 20 minutes waiting at the bottom while nobody came or carts passed without stopping, The staff was friendly but clearly the cart transportation is a problem they haven't solved. The room was ready when we arrived but it took 2 hours to check-in and finally get to our room.

The hotel itself is random. The service is a joke. No one can assist you, it s tourist trap.
The beach in front is almost ugly which is difficult in the seychelles.
Rooms are dark and remote. Overal’ you dont feel well in the hotel at all. Only positive point is the quality of the fruits at breakfast.

We were pampered from the moment we got off the boat. There is a free shuttle service to the resort. Delicious welcome drinks! Amazing, spacious room. Very quiet surroundings. Large balcony. The only complaint is the mattress which was too soft for my taste, but I guess other guests might like it this way. Buffet restaurants have a decent selection and very high quality of food.
Great location, restaurants have great view of the ocean.

This is a very unusual in a good way property. The bathrooms of the villas incredible eith outdoor showers.

Beds hard and lighting dim. This is not a property for disabled or elderly. Very steep and uneven walkimg surfaces.

Great honeymoon destination.

Village quaint and island gorgeouse.

Beware of the ferry to praslin. They often overbook when cruise ships come in. Direct from mahe economy upper deck is best.

The resort is amazing. Beautifully maintained and gorgeous landscaping.
Trust me the photos on the site do not do justice to the grandeur of the hotel. it has been recently renovated and the property is lovely with the infinity pool, awesome view at restaurants and great service.
This is not a main beach facing property, but a great beach is just 3 mins walk away (Anse Severe beach)
We would highly recommend this property for a luxurious stay.
The room was cleaned twice in a day and everything was ensured for the best comfort.

Perfect base to rewind, relax and recharge

We spent 13 days at the resort and felt thoroughly looked after, staff were attentive and endeavoured to make our stay special. Room, facilities and hotel were perfect for our needs. We were able to fully explore the beautiful, chilled island of La Digue with the benefit of a stunning hotel complex to come back to at the end of the day! Would recommend to anyone wanting somewhere that enables you to unwind......stay longer than you plan to fully appreciate the benefits of this hotel and it’s staff.....

Unexpected unpleasant resort but beautiful view

This hotel was the 4th of 5 respiratory during our trip to the Seychelles. The beauty of this resort was just as amazing as Hilton or Raffles. The service at the hotel was, unfortunately, not what I would have come to expect. We were treated rudely several time and often had to approach staff for restaurant service. Overall, I cannot recommend this resort.

The villa de charme elegance is a beautiful room and having our own private jacuzzi was amazing. The service at the hotel is great on the whole and the whole setting on La Digue is wonderful. The majority of the staff were really friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend staying here if you're planning to stay on La Digue as we didn't see any other hotels on the island that looked like they would come close to the standards here in terms of design, luxury and service.

Not our favorite part of the trip

Le Dique is very small, a day trip is more than enough. We wouldn't have stayed over night if we come back again.

The hotel is the best one on the island, but we had problem checking in. First of all, when we checked in, we were not informed upfront that our room of choice was not available. I went to the bathroom when the staff showed my husband the room, he didn't know what we booked but I immediately noticed that the room can't be the villa that we booked. We booked villa de charm, supposed to have outdoor shower and huge tub and great view. But the room we were given was a small garden view one. So I told the staff that this can't be the room we booked. Then the guest relations office called me and said if it was ok for me to stay at this room, I said no coz we only stay for one night. Then another officer came to talk to us and only then he apologized for my booked room becoming unavailable. (So here, I don't know if it was Expedia or the hotel's fault).

We were finally told the truth and said we only need to pay for the type of the room we are staying in and they offered us free dinner buffet and bikes which were nice.

Then when we checked out, we noticed they charge transportation (from the dock to the hotel), which we were not informed of at all.

Also, they limite the use of towels at the pool, so you need to keep using the wet towel!!

At any rate, we were unhappy with our booked room was not available and nobody told us upfront and hidden charges.

Disconnect between Design and Level of Service

We used this hotel for one night prior to our departure from Mahe, Seychelles as we had to catch an early morning flight.
Positives: the hotel is beautifully designed with a nice architecture and a modern open-concept. It is situated in a nice newly developed area of Mahe with a marina and shopping centre close by. There are several restaurants in close proximity. The lobby is impressive. The rooms are large and comfortable.
Negatives: When I first drove into the hotel property, I was waiting for a car to leave when a staff member sitting in a cart rudely gestured me to continue driving. Upon arrival at the desk, we were told the room would not be ready until the usual check in time of 2 PM. The reception staff refused to even register us even though I tried to tell her that I did not need the occupy the room until after 2 PM but would appreciate being registered and have our luggage stored. The reception staff condescended.in a begrudging manner. There was no tissue paper (Kleenex) provided in the room. When I needed to print my boarding pass, the hotel printer had run out of stationery. When I told the reception desk I was greeted with dismay that I needed to ask for stationery. I was asked which company I represented. I was asked how many pieces of paper I needed. The reception staff then stated he was worried he would not have enough paper after handing me four sheets of paper! At check out there was no assistance available for luggage.

Beautiful hotel, amazing destination

We were here for our honeymoon and it really was an amazing place to stay. Because it was our honeymoon, we received a complimentary romantic meal, couples massage, and champagne on arrival. This was perfect. The staff were amazing, and very happy to help when I had an issue with the shower. Would stay again and would recommend.

I would note that this hotel is quite expensive, but we wanted the best for our honeymoon and this was the Island we wanted to stay on. So choice was limited. You are paying a five star price for a four star hotel, but it is a beautiful hotel in an amazing place. We would not have done anything differently.

We did not go half board, as we did not want to eat in the same place every day. Please be aware that the buffet, for B&B guests, is very expensive! The a la carte restaurant is also very expensive, but we had some of the best meals we have ever had there!

Beautiful and classy hotel

Excellent staying in one of the most beautiful Seychelles island, La Digue. The hotel is top notch, luxurious, glamorous and well run.
Villas are really secluded, bathroom is gorgeous. Great food at the restaurant.
To improve: its a bit ridiculous the 5€ charge for a 1 min lift to the jetty, when you pay 600€/night for the room.

Beware and call before you leave home!!

Bad experience of having booked 6 months ahead and being told upon arrival \"sorry we messed up your reservation!!\" We were not given the room we booked (Suite, Garden Residence) and were being upgraded to a higher level room (Villa Charme D'elegance) but this was really a downgrade for our family of 3 - smaller room but has Jacuzzi? And to boot - they told us we need to change rooms on the 2nd night of our 2 night stay. Imagine traveling 26 hours and getting this treatment. It spoiled our entire stay on La Digue! The \"upgraded\" room did not have wifi, a critical need for us! We managed to convince them to give us a room with wifi the next day in the garden area. With this treatment - we got comp'd for lunch on the day of arrival (barely a consolation!). The charges remained the same for the rooms - extremely dis-satisfied on our handling at this so called \"luxury resort.\" Yes, the rooms are clean and location is great, but the way the reservation was handled was really bad. We did not make a scene and just want others to be aware! Make sure you call ahead to the property to ensure you have what you booked! Hotels.com was of no help in resolving this issue either. I will be careful using hotels.com in future. Upon completion of our trip I informed Hotels.com and their response was \"sorry, we could not reach the hotel to resolve your issue, we can't help you\". Buyer beware!

Relaxing luxury

We stayed in a lovely Villa for the last 3 days of a 2 week vacation. The hotel itself is perfect and very relaxing. The spa was superb and good value - worth going just for the view while having a massage. Staff were friendly and professional. Food was OK - we expected the quality to be a little better for the cost and class of hotel. We would stay again.

Relaxing hotel on La Digue

Relaxing break at Domaine de L'Orangeraie - Villa de Charme room was huge with excellent outside shower, but bed was sagging.

Hotel was busy and felt very crowded around the pool. Easy to walk/cycle from hotel to explore La Digue.

Le Combava restaurant excellent for dinner but not cheap. Handled requests for vegetarian dishes. Service generally OK, sometimes confusion as multiple people were serving each table.

Handy bike rental on site, only 5 Euros/day, and bikes were well maintained.

Poor response to emails prior to stay - calling might be easier.

Handy buggy service from reception to Villas.

It's an experience

We chose Le Domaine for our honeymoon and we are more than happy that we made that decision. The Garden Area Suite that we booked was like a dream - beautifully designed, comfortable and secluded. The pool site was equally awesome. We could sit for hours at the deck near the pool. Some of the best pictures of our honeymoon are at this resort. Loved it.

This hotel has a lot of charme, a true luxury experience with local flair which sets itself apart from the usual rack of 5 Star franchise hotels. Bungalows are spread out over a charming hilly estate, and the whole place has kind of a special \"Zen\" atmosphere about it (architecture, color scheme, etc.). Beautifully crafted pool with swim-up bar and centrally set a la carte restaurant. The hotel beach is average but, hey, you are on La Digue and the world's most photographed beach is only a 10 minute bike ride away (opens at 8 am, come early and you'll have it for yourself...). Bikes are in good quality and supplied free of charge. There are more, equally beautiful and less populated beaches towards the Northern end of the island (5, 10 and 20 minutes by bike). The spa has stunning views and was amazingly crafted into the granite rocks (we didn't get to try it, though, as there were too many other things to do). Management and staff were very attentive.

Unser Aufenthalt im Le Domaine de L’Orangeraie war einfach magisch. Für uns galt hier von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise das Motto: „Erholung von der ersten bis zur letzten Sekunde“.
Wir haben in einer „Villa de Charme“ übernachtet, die unglaublich geschmackvoll und stilvoll eingerichtet ist – ein absoluter WOW-Effekt ist hier garantiert! Ein ganz großes Highlight war für uns auch der spektakuläre Ausblick vom Balkon, den wir sehr genossen haben.
Kulinarisch wurden wir ebenfalls vollkommen verwöhnt. Sowohl das Frühstück als auch das Abendessen wurden in Form von Buffets angeboten. Die Auswahl war sehr reichlich, abwechslungsreich und einfach extrem lecker.
Ein großes Lob geht an das gesamte Team: Der Service von wirklich allen Mitarbeitenden war erstklassig, aufmerksam und herzlich. Abgerundet wurde das perfekte Urlaubserlebnis durch den sehr schönen Poolbereich, der einen traumhaften Blick auf das Meer bietet.
Wir können dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen und kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Deep tissue massage was on of the best in my life
The food was delicious, my recommendation is the grill
Both fish and meat were just out of this world

Jättefint hotell! Vårt rum låg en bit från vattnet men med strålande utsikt över havet. Jättebra service med transport med boogie när man ville komma till havet, poolen och restaurangen. Funkade perfekt!
Lite knepigt att de tog betalt för vanligt vatten vid måltiderna trots att vi hade halvpension redan betald. Småsak i det stora.
Cykeluthyrningen som hotellet anlitade kunde varit lite bättre.

Unsere Erwartungen wurden in jeglicher Hinsicht erfüllt und in Bezug auf das Essen sogar deutlich übertroffen. Das Buffet ist morgens wie abends wirklich überragend. Das Personal ist sehr höflich und zuvorkommend, wir möchten an der Stelle Charan, Vinay und Jakir hervorheben.
Das Zimmer (wir hatten \"nur\" eine Garden Villa) war sehr geräumig und modern eingerichtet.
Alles in allem war es eine wirklich tolle Woche auf La Digue.

We were overall very satisfied with our stay. The hotel is beautifully located right by the sea, with a peaceful atmosphere, lovely surroundings, and great service. The rooms are spacious and well maintained.

One small downside was the dinner: while the food was fine, drinks were not included in the half-board package and were quite expensive – even still water had to be paid for separately. Including at least a bottle of water would be a nice gesture.

We can definitely recommend this hotel and would book it again!

Abuso en la media pensión de un niño de 5 años

El hotel es muy bonito y el servicio muy agradable. Por un problema familiar de última hora, tuvimos que llevar a mi hijo de 5 años. Agradezco que nos dejaran llevarlo, y entiendo pagar un upgrade por una habitación más amplia, pero lo que me parece un abuso y aprovecharse de la situación, es que me hicieran pagar 150€ por cada noche, por la MEDIA pensión de un niño de 5 años. Me quejé, y me dijeron que era política de empresa. Por este mal gesto de abuso, no recomiendo el hotel.

Location close to the port makes it easy to get to and from. Nice pool area, limited ocean access but if you walk 5 min there is a nice beach. We had a large room and balcony with ourdoor shower and toilet. OK quality but everything is a bit dated. The buffet restaurant is nice during breakfast and dinner, the Combava restaurant a disapointment not worht the money.

Hotel eccezionale, il migliore sull’isola senza dubbio. Colazione e cena ottimi a buffet, camera molto spaziosa e sempre pulita.
Un ringraziamento speciale allo staff sempre sorridente e accogliente, è molto bello da vedere, ti fa sentire a casa.

Unica pecca quella environmental tax che suona tanto di fregatura e ladrocinio autorizzato dal governo. Ovviamente non dipende affatto dall’hotel ma dai politici che ovunque vai sempre ladri restano.

Eine schöne Unterkunft, die sehr schnell auch zu Fuß vom Hafen aus erreichbar ist. Sehr guter Service. Ohne Zusatzkosten wird man vom Hotel per Buggy abgeholt.
Das Frühstücksbuffet ist okay, aber kein Highlight. Das Abendessen hingegen wechselt täglich mit einem Themenabend.
Am Hauptpool werden leider zu wenig liegen bereitgestellt bzw. am Strand.
Dennoch ist die Anlage insgesamt sehr schön angelegt, insbesondere die hinteren Villen in Berghanglage und auch der Service top!
