First-time stay at a B&B - did not disappoint
Check-in was a little tricky, as check in hours were like 4p to 7p and I was there around 4:40p. The door was locked, and I rang the bell a number of times and called to leave a voice message. As I started to walk around the property, the owner met me and ushered me in. George is very personable and has created a nice B&B environment.
Parking is in the back from the main road and the area appeared safe. The bedroom was small and had a micro-fridge and small microwave, both older but adequate.
Breakfast was basic, oatmeal and pancakes, coffee. I think George would have provided eggs and toast if asked. There was no menu, it was offered as is.
Although this was my first stay at a B&B, it met expectations nicely. Breakfast with 3 other strangers, all of us sharing stories around the table for about 90-minutes. The atmosphere was conducive to this very thing. I've never experienced that at any hotel/motel I have stayed with.

Found this gem on hotels.com for a weekend trip for wedding we were attending. George the owner is very friendly and accommodating. We arrived past check in time but he remained available and greeted us - offering us anything we needed. Exhausted after an 8hr drive, the hospitality, extremely clean and quiet atmosphere allowed is to sleep like babies.
Unfortunately we were spent both days so we didn’t get up in time to experience the breakfast but waking up every morning to bacon and eggs wafting through up through our room felt like home. I’m grateful for the option to pick a room with a private bathroom for a small upgrade. There’s even onsite parking. I would absolutely stay here again & recommend to anyone!

We booked to stay here overnight for a wedding that we were attending nearby. I booked the room on a Wednesday, called the Innkeeper and left a message asking about check-in time since we would not be able to get there until after 7. We did not receive a phone call back. I left another message on Friday before the reservation cut off time and still did not get a call back again. At this point it was too late to cancel and I was never contacted by the Innkeeper, actually they did call at 6:30 during the wedding the night we were suppose to stay. We never made it to the B&B. A return follow up call would have been nice, we spent money on a room we never stayed in.

The owner was very pleasant and welcoming. Nice comfortable room with a view of the backyard patio area. There was a small pool with fish. Both indoor and outdoor seating was available. Safe off road parking was a plus. Red Lion is a nice small community and pleasant for a leisurely stroll around the B&B's neighborhood. I plan to stay there again in the Fall. Breakfast included yogurt with granola and fresh berries, sausage, pancakes and a bottomless cup of coffee.

We liked the B&B. Because I need a cane the staircase was a little difficult and the room we chose had a wonderful mattress that was very high so it was difficult getting into the bed. I'm short. We had a long 5 hour “rush hour drive and arrived in the dark with some rain-we were tired travelers! Our host was waiting for us, so friendly and welcoming. This home is over 100 years old and very well maintained. The bathroom and room were very clean and up-to-date. The bed was extremely comfortable. Had an overnight stay here while attending a family function in the area. I was pleasantly surprised by the amenities in the very clean, charming room where I stayed (small refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker and selection of coffees/teas, bottled water, luxurious towels, and nice bathrobe). The room was spacious and comfortable. The only negative for me was that the curtains on the large windows were too sheer!

During the day we took advantage of the bike rail trail close by and golfing. Even found a bakery to pickup dessert to take to friends home that we visited. We had stayed at the Red Lion B & B before COVID while visiting a relative in York, PA. We were very pleased 2 years ago and decided to stay there again when visiting family. The room was clean and comfortable, the towels in the bathroom were great, and the breakfast was quite tasty. It is obvious, however, that there were some areas in this very nice older home that are in disrepair and need some attention. I hope that with time and more visitors, the owners can return their lovely home to the way it used to be. I would still recommend it.

My girlfriend and I stayed here overnight while visiting my parents down the road in Delta. We had a great experience the entire time! The communication between the innkeeper and myself were flawless, and she even notified me of a possibility of early check-in. We stayed at the Garden Room which was beautiful. The bed was extra comfortable and everything was very clean. The shower/bathroom was right around the corner but private for us. It was difficult to get the water to be warm since the house is over 100 years old, but was still comfortable nonetheless. The breakfast was delicious as well as the coffee, and the service was great. The innkeeper was very personable and the conversations were fun (ask about the history of the house). Overall, the stay was very nice and I would recommend to any of my close friends and family. Thank you for having us!!

Nice quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of neighboring areas. Well taken care of facility. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Sleeping area was quite comfortable with a private bathroom, tv and air conditioning. Nice easy walk to many places in the area. We were there for their festival and was only a few blocks walk.
