Overall, we enjoyed our stay and felt that for the price, it met our expectations. The hotel isn’t the most updated and could be cleaner in some areas, but that’s understandable considering it’s right on the beach and guests are constantly coming and going from the pools and beach access.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay, and the breakfast was great with plenty of options. Our only real issue was a bird that seemed to guard the entrance to our building and would swoop at us whenever we tried to go in or out. It made for an interesting experience, but aside from our feathered security guard, we had a pleasant stay.

Respectfully speaking, this is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Especially for being called a resort.
We should’ve known since the beginning when we tried calling the place to see if our room had been booked. There was no answer.
The staff, they weren’t helpful in any circumstance. When we tried to get information about breakfast they were rude. Even the lady to sit us down at breakfast had her own attitude, like if everything needed to be rushed.
Won’t ever be coming back to this hotel.

I had high expectations given the price of the rooms but was immediately disappointed. First the lobby was hot the ac was broken second the elevator in tower B was broken as soon as we got on the door closed slowly and did a quick snap to shut ,we didnt know what floor it was heading to the digital numbers werent working so it was a guessing game to us. There was no “last inspection certificate” posted on the elevator panel.The room was by far the worst very grimy, very dirty, I killed a large roach crawling around. The restroom door was all eaten up at the bottom, the baseboards were in horrible condition. Makes me wonder what conditions the mattresses were but I didnt have the heart to take the covers off. All in all the room was in very poor condition. This resort needs alot of attention and reconstruction, especially for those prices, the general manager should be ashamed of themselves to operate this resort.

I think the big challenge was the temperature - the lobby, bar, and restaurant were unbearably hot. The rooms were pretty dated and in need of fixing (molding crumbling, screws and nails sticking out, etc). The folks were nice but the hotel was a bit of a disappointment. I’ve stayed here before and it wasn’t like this.

This hotel is not worth the room rate. The elevators were very scary. The building and rooms were dated and felt low-budget. The towels were like jagged concrete. On floor vending machine's card reader was broken.
I switched from another hotel to this thinking we could have a view of the gulf from the \"beach front\" room. If you look over the tops of the surrounding condos you can get a glimpse of the water. Of course your head needs to be pressed against the window.
I got the overall feeling that no one here really gets that people spend their money on trips like this to feel special.
Holiday Inn was a disappointment. I canceled my trip a day early.

Very much a beach property, rust throughout room, carpet was damp throughout stay, all furniture was sticky..from moisture, I don't know but it's time for a renovation! Made the room\"feel\" dirty. And the bathroom had several long hairs in the tub. Which made me feel icky as I showered.
GREAT location for beach access. I'm and IHG Rewards member, this place could be so much more! Have an MOD who has access to cash!! Your staff lost out on tips with your systems down! Still waiting on my final folio.

The bar was great honestly and the food was decent my issue was with the room when I got there the couch had a stain of some kind of sauce and then their were crumbs on the floor the management and a few of the wait staff were a little rude but the bartenders were great and really helpful too ask what there was to do around the area my last complaint was the fire alarm constantly goes off because of people smoking in their rooms and it kept me up a few nights

The property, I felt, is older, run down, and over priced. The restroom in our room was super small, and the door barely closed because of the toilet. I was just glad I didn’t see a cockroach while I was there. On the upside, breakfast was great and tasty. Staff was nice.

Overall, my stay was okay, but it was disappointing compared to what was advertised. The pictures online made the resort look much nicer than it actually was. Upon arrival, it felt like a completely different property, which came across as a bait-and-switch situation.
The resort was under construction/remodeling during my stay, and that created several issues. I had to be moved from one room to another, the elevator frequently had problems and even got stuck, and the room key cards often did not work properly.
The bright spot of the experience was the staff. Everyone was friendly, professional, and helpful. Housekeeping did an excellent job and was one of the best parts of my stay.
While the customer service was great, the overall condition and appearance of the resort did not match the expectations set by the photos. I hope that once the renovations are completed, the property will better reflect what is being advertised.

I will never stay there again. The room had many things missing for example the Do Not Disturb sign for the door. The sink area didn’t have a towel rack. The bathroom/shower area was extremely small (and I am 5’2 115 lbs!) The hotel charged us for something else with the $100 deposit we left. It cleared the back and we had to call to contest that. They then charged $29 for some property use. Ridiculous!

The only down part is the resort needs a big update. Water coming in from all windows in the restaurant water leaking in main lobby from ciling and rooms get moldy really fast if you turn down the A/C but other then that grate place.

The property is a bit dated and damp. Our floors and sheets always seemed to be wet. Maintenance came immediately to troubleshoot the dehumidifier and it worked well for one day. The staff was super friendly and helpful though. Restaurant was good and the bar always had specials.

Puntos buenos: Incluimos el desayuno y vale la pena. Tiene acceso a la playa directo. La cama y almohadas fueron muy buenos. El personal muy amable.
Areas de oportunidad. El uso de las instalaciones alrededor de la alberca es confuso, algunos nos dijeron que se cobraba, otros que no. Al ser resort esperaba más detalles en la habitación, por ejemplo toallas desmaquillantes y no había. El baño en la habitación es muy pequeño. Nos tocó una lluvia exageradamente fuerte, el agua entró al edificio por los ventanales cerca del restaurante y el personal tardó en venir a contener el agua. Están acostumbrados a que eso pase, y es falta de mantenimiento.
Aún así, lo consideraría para quedarme de nuevo.

Al contratar nos mencionaron que si tenían camastros en playa y no hay. Hay sombrillas sillas que tienes que pagar renta por hora o dia como cualquier playa pública

All around wonderful stay!!!

From check in we were greeted and explained all the things they offered at the resort.

3 pools, beach access, 3 bars, on site restaurant, arcade, and a pool and ping pong table downstairs our kids took advantage of during a rainy afternoon, and the breakfast I recommend paying the fee for it when booking, our family of 4 ate for $20 for 3 mornings and it was a wonderful breakfast, not a basic buffet. And the service was amazing from the servers.

They also offered activities for the kids every night we stayed from crafts to movies.

We also had a issue with our AC as it wouldn't cool our room down once we checked in, they immediately moved us to another room with a great working AC.

The rooms are nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable, and get the job done for a long day at the beach or pool.

I would definitely stay here again when in Padre. It blew the La Copa AWAY!

In terms of location, this hotel was really good. Only a short walk to the beach. However, our room itself was pretty bad. The entire time during our stay our room felt like everything was damp, especially the bed and pillows. The television was maybe the worst I've ever experienced in a hotel, at least half the channels had sound but no picture. Also, the sound coming out was terrible, like the speaker had been blown out. The bathroom was tiny, basically the size of a small closet. The sink was also strange, the faucet was super close to the edge making it difficult to actually wash your hands. Finally, at one point during our stay, housekeeping opened our door without knocking in the middle of the day and just started coming in, even though we were clearly in the room making noise. Luckily no one was naked or something. I would not stay here again, there are better spots on the island for similar prices. Oh also, there is no complimentary breakfast provided, which most other properties offer

The bedding and floor was very damp due to poor ventilation in the room. We could not sleep at all that night because the sheets felt too wet. We asked to be placed in a different room for the next night and the new room was a little better. The carpet was still damp but at least the bedding was ok. The bathrooms were tiny. Definitely not worth the price for the stay. Wish we would have booked somewhere else. We asked for a refund for the first night since the beds were wet and the manager Josie said she would call Expedia and request a refund for us but we have not heard back nor received any emails regarding our refund.

Passive aggressive staff, cleaning crews did not show up of the three and half days we stayed, elevator issues, AC broken when out the elevator on our floor, water pressure in the shower was terrible, the comforter was smaller than bed size, 2 plug outlets in our room didn't work, and most of the staff was Spanish speaking only so communication was difficult. We checked out early with a whole day remaining for our stay. We will not be returning to this Hotel.

The toilet was not flushing, the facility air was out through out the bottom floor, seems like anyone can just park and use the pool areas, no one checking if your a guest at the Hotel or not.. they told us when we checked in about a wrist band ,we had to have it on because they were gone be checking if you had on .. seemed like no one had one on..who knows if they were truly a guest or not, cops were called for an Argument between parents at the pool, and no one was checking at pool side if you were a guest to use anemeties.. anyone can just walk in thru the beach access

The stay was pleasant enough , while our room was clean there was obvious damage to furniture in the room. For the price point you would think it would be better maintained. We also woke up our 2nd day to an extremely wet floor, turns out you can't have the AC higher than 69 degrees or your whole room gets humid. This is something that should be explained to each guest or at the very least invest in a dehumidifier, we are not all seasoned islanders. (Would like to add our first time staying here our AC unit in the room didnt work either) Maintenance cleaned it up quick enough and was very pleasant. While the property was at a prime location, it felt like a motel experience with a resort price tag.

Our check in was great, the entrance is beautiful. However the walkway to the elevators is very humid and slippery. My son almost slipped, the elevators are musty and they were sus. I think they need maintenance because they would jump and wiggle a bit too much. Our room was fine when we got there but when it was time to sleep the room was so humid that our beds were soaked. The whole night was uncomfortable to sleep because of this. The restroom showers drain was extremely clogged so we’d be stepping in 2 inches of dirty water to shower. The tvs are very outdated ni kids channels. Pool areas were alright, kids splash area was off. We thought breakfast was included but turns out it was only for a couple of guests. Bar area is unorganized because we went to the beach access and ordered drinks and food paid a delivery fee of $5 and our items were never brought out. My husband had to walk all the way back to the bar/ restaurant area and ask what was taking so long. We think the umbrellas and chairs should be included for guests, $40 rental is ridic.

The cleaning staff was good and kind. There were no amenities. No complimentary breakfast unless you were a Diamond Elite member. They tout free Wi-Fi, but what they don't tell you is that they blocked internet access and have to use the unsecured Wi-Fi. The appliances didn't work. The Television needed maintenance to come and make it work, which was a simple shaking of the Television.
