Just got back from a fantastic trip and had a really pleasant stay at this hotel! The location was absolutely perfect for exploring everything. My room was super comfortable, making it a great place to unwind after a long day. Breakfast was delicious. The bridge walkway to the beach so very convenient and took the fuss out of pulling our cart through the sand. Plus, the staff were all so friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I'd definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for a great getaway. I will definitely book again.

The two things I would comment on is there are signs all around the pool no outside boom boxes or music, yet every night they were playing the music. I called and it would end, I suggest someone should go out there and check every two hours. Also, the pool was supposed to be open 10 to 10 and that wasn't enforced either. The breakfast was good but the same every day, I suggest you need more meat like bacon or sausage separate from being in the eggs. You need more fruit, I heard several people say they wish there was more fruit. They finally added Bannas towards the end of our stay. I talked to several people that said they had stayed there before we would stay again. Parking is interesting since outsiders can park there

Everything and everyone was great! My boyfriend and I were there for my 20th birthday and everyone was so welcoming and kind. Our only two things about the place was the breakfast and the beds. Breakfast was a very traditional continental style (which was fine, there just was not much to choose from), so we ate out for breakfast. The beds were comfortable but the \"comforter\" was just as thin as the sheets, so I would recommend bringing your own blankets. It would have been fine but the room was freezing no matter how high the temperature was, and if you turned it off, it got extremely humid. Overall, it had great access to the beach, great pool and food, and wonderful people.

Our AC leaked water all over the tile, the deadbolt on our door didn’t lock.
Jeanette at the front desk was incredibly rude after we contacted Expedia. She told us she sent maintenance up, w/o even asking our concerns. He then came in, drilled the door, vacuumed out the AC, and left. He didn’t speak English, so we weren’t sure the next steps.
Front desk never followed up.
AC continued to leak for remainder of our stay. We had to lay towels down. Water leaking on a tile floor equals lots of slipping hazards.
We tried to leave the property, but Expedia and the hotel refused to refund us. Sending a maintenance man to the room w/o even confirming our concerns, not being able to communicate AND no follow up from Jeanette was insane.
Our stay was awful! Awful!
We would still like to be compensated for our awful experience.
(Additionally our bathroom shower was disgusting, advertisement of bar and grill is incredibly inaccurate given the small pizza shop, and most staff was not friendly)
I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone!

Its not a high end resort but its affordable, clean, has a great breakfast, really liked the bar and grill, good beach access. The parking can be very full so prepare to walk and the pool/hottub overly crowded. The kids pool I dont think it is heated.

we stayed with our pet and rented 2 rooms for ourselves and our son and his wife , both rooms were clean well maintained and the staff was very helpful. the pool area was clean and also well maintained . the breakfast room was well laid out and the cooks did an excellent job on our omlets ! , the boardwalk was easy to walk with no broken rails or loose boards we really enjoyed our stay and will use this property again !

This was our first time staying here and I was pleasantly surprised how clean and modern the inside of the hotel looks. We had beach and pool access since the morning so we were able to enjoy the beach and amenities before check in. Check in process was very easy, staff was very helpful and nice! The food was good, not the best but not the worst. Only complaint would be the keycards would sometimes not work great at unlocking the door and we would have to try multiple times before the door would open. But besides that it was a great hotel and would definitely come back!

We stayed at The Copa Inn in South Padre Island and overall had a solid stay. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable, though they squeaked loudly with almost any movement, which was a bit annoying at night.
The staff was excellent — very attentive and always willing to help with anything we needed. The pool and jacuzzi were a highlight; both were clean and very enjoyable. The direct beach access is perfect, just steps away, which made it super convenient.
Breakfast is average. The breakfast tacos seem to be popular, but what most reviews don’t mention is that you only get one taco per person and you can’t order more. That was a little disappointing.
Overall, the hotel is in a great spot, the staff makes you feel welcome, and the beach/pool area is really nice. We’d recommend it if you’re looking for a convenient, no-frills stay on South Padre, especially for the location and service.

The breakfast didn’t change from day to day but was made well and I enjoyed it every morning I was there. Your room is scheduled for a cleaning every other day. I only have 2 complaints. 1) you are hit with a $50 + tax resort fee when you arrive. I was told that was for parking and for being on the beach. I guess this is okay but I HATE surprise charges 2) the room tvs are not modern so you don’t have any streaming app options. Just basic cable and a lot of the common channels didn’t work (FX, TruTV, etc. ) that’s was kind of lame but I did get to binge watch SpongeBob so I’m not mad about that. I was told that you can bring your Roku or fire stick so do that if you want to stream. Anyways, Overall great stay and would recommend. I will stay again next time I’m in the area.

My family including two children ages 11 and 7 just stayed here for 4 nights. It was truly perfect - the second we walked in the place was very clean and smelled great. There is a gift shop right in the lobby with tons of items in case you forget anything. The shrimp tacos at the bar and grill were fantastic. My only complaint is that the tables/chairs on the patios are not great quality and they were pretty covered with bird poop. The pool looked a little small on photos but actually worked out pretty great. The walkway to the beach area is very nice too. Breakfast was unique but I enjoyed it. For kids, there is waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal, and toast. The breakfast potatoes were pretty mushy and tasted off. I did not try an omelet but the tacos were good. I would definitely come back!
