The room was cleaned and good service. The only issue was when returning damage deposit for a frito stain they were charging me 55 dlls out of my 75 dollars deposit. I asked for proof and manager decided to return full deposit.

For our first time staying at this resort the staff was friendly, and kept to our needs. Our microwave stopped working and it being 1 am there was someone there within 5 min to help us and brought a brand new microwave straight from the box ! We are satisfied with our 2 night stay here thank you so much !

Got catfished by the pictures. They’re literally a run down La Quinta (still selling La Quinta beach towels in the gift shop). Service was fantastic, the gift shop was convenient and only overly expensive for drinks, the rooms were spacious, and they have fireworks Fridays and Saturdays.

We arrived 2 hrs late for check in and one of our rooms wasnt even ready. We called ahead weeks in advance to make sure rooms would be right by each other and they weren't, also wouldn't fix that situation. The water pressure is non existent, plus drains not wanting to drain. The pool is very small, took my small kids to pool and found trash cups in bottom of pool, plus was catching clumps of hair in hand while trying to swim, told the front desk there is no way the pump is going, and found out when checking out I was right, so everybody was swimming in filth for who knows how long. I was lied to about the animal situation, the hotel is pet friendly which is fine, but we were told they were kept on the 1st floor and that was a lie because we saw them staying on the 3rd floor with us. Also walking into the lobby a pitbull growled at me and my 5 year old right in front of staff...the owner was clearly correcting aggressive behavior like it was common, yet nothing was done. Parking is a nightmare...do yourself a favor and run far from this hotel!!!! Took my grandma for what might be her last trip, and it was just awful. Had to go find cleaning lady's for towel exchange in the hall even...just awful.

Property was generally fine. Biggest issue was housekeeping would take dirty towels and not replace them. They also didn’t replace toilet paper. Had to call down to the front desk and was told things would be sent right away but it either took a long time or never showed up. I had to go find staff and ask for items in person twice.

Hotel has 4 floors but only 2 smaller sized elevators and sometimes you have to wait for one. Dryer did not dry clothes after 40 minutes. You must bring your own quarters for washer and dryer as hotel could not provide change. Door to our balcony stuck and would not open several times. We climbed through the window to go out there. Prefer a hotel with adults only and no pets as some owners fail to clean up after theirs even on the beach. Pool not clear and looked cloudy. Hotel Overall needs to be remodeled or updated but was ok. Packages of instant coffee were left in room but no coffee pot???? Breakfast was very basic/ fair quality and every couple days the same menu was served but it is nice to have some sort of breakfast on site included. You do pay for parking. Best part about this hotel is having the beach right there.

The room assigned to me was in the first floor by the elevator, and it was so loud. The hallway was always busy and people were in and out which is fine during the day. But at night and early in the morning it was still loud. You could hear dogs barking at each other in the hallway, trash bind being moved, loud bangs. It was hard getting a good sleep with so many noises. Other than that the hotel room was clean. The property is a bit old so it does need dome maintenance. Breakfast was okay too, bot too many options to choose from, but they did have someone making omelettes.

The best thing I can say is this property is the beach front location. With that said don’t rent beach chairs from the Sandrose employee. He charges $45 per chair. Walk 20ft to your left and rent 2 chairs and umbrella from the Hilton employee for $45.

I honestly have no clue how the sandrose beach resort had such high ratings. The check in was slow, they had no luggage carts available, the property was old and showing signs of wear and tear. I was out in hold for several minutes every time I called the front desk. The rooms were clean but still looked dirty since everything was so old and dated.

The pool is tiny and the hotel “bistro” was just frozen food they fried or reheated. Disappointing is an understatement. The only reason we enjoyed our trip was we planned by stay out and away from the hotel to keep busy.

The photos online need to be updated. I felt cat fished by a hotel. Oh how can I forget the literal crime scene tape on the 1st elevator. That perfectly encapsulates the sandrose beach resort experience.

My family walked next door to the Hilton Garden Inn Nextdoor and it was so much nicer and cleaner. Their pool looked amazing. I was going to room her originally but the sandrose beach resort had a higher rating. Also the “amazing” breakfast was disappointing. It was just a continental beak fast with crock pot Mexican food and dirty tables.

Also there was a smell on the 3rd floor. Staying here is the best advertisement for the Hilton next door.

Our room was clean, but a bit outdated. The beds creaked when you moved, the pillows were flat and our window had had a gap in the weatherstripping, causing temp changes. The balcony was super small and tough to sit without being met with the super-hot heat off the ac exhaust. A limited view of the beach. All the staff was very nice and overall customer service was great. The breakfast was good, but we had to wait for food to be refilled. I wish there were more food options.

Our biggest issue was the pool area. The pool was very dirty, crowded and reeked of weed. The pool area was very outdated with items crowding the grounds to walk around creating tripping hazards.

The stay was ok, but would not stay here again. The name states resort, but we did not get resort vibes.

It was my partner and I’s first time going to South Padre Island and we booked a room here! The room was nice and clean, the staff were SUPER helpful as it was my first time renting a hotel room. The beach was beautiful and I even got notifications on my phone when happy hour was starting at the hotel restaurant. They have a nice convenience store/gift shop area with a built in Starbucks, pastries, cakes and ice cream to be sold. It was all very nice. They also have beach supplies for sale which was SUPER helpful. Room comes with a mini fridge and a microwave as well! The hotel is about 20 minutes out from Seashell Beach so definitely check that place out!

The resort itself was clean the front desk staff was very pleasant there were a few that ignored us standing there. The pool was small and dirty looking I wouldn't get in it. The made to order breakfast is a variety of omelets the breakfast buffet was sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns or diced potatoes, refried bean gravy waffles and toast every single day. We were there a week and our beds didn't get changed and bathroom was not cleaned they came in and made the bed mopped the floor and gave us clean towels. We did rent a car although there is a small bus you can take different places at no charge there is also Uber the drives were amazing. Must eat at Sea Ranch restaurant amazing food. Also if going to Port Isabella Joe's doesnt look like much but the food is wonderful and fresh our waiter was so nice and kept us laughing. Hope this helps.

Overall, we had a good stay at Sand Rose. The pool and amenities were great, and we really enjoyed both the bar and the restaurant. The housekeeping staff was also excellent and did a wonderful job throughout our stay.

The only issue we encountered was with our original room. There was visible mold on the ceiling and in the bathroom, and the air conditioner was leaking water. We contacted the front desk, and they responded promptly by moving us to another room, which we appreciated. However, it was inconvenient having to unpack and then repack all of our belongings to switch rooms.

Aside from the condition of the first room, the staff was helpful and accommodating, and the rest of our stay was enjoyable. I would recommend the hotel, but I hope they address the mold and maintenance issues in that room.

Overall, I think the property is outdated and needs renovations. We've been at this hotel multiple times over several years and the same outdated features are still around, such as the tiny pool. The machine which they use to set the room key cards with also does not work properly. The keys stopped working multiple times throughout our stay of 6 days and the staff will imply it's your fault somehow that the cards stopped working. Some of the staff could use a refresher on professionalism and hospitality training as well. For the price you pay, this hotel needs to do better.

Our AC was very loud and making whistling noises causing little sleep at night. Shower was too high up to reposition and had hardly any pressure. . Thus taking a long time to bathe. Breakfast was ok. When we arrived the staff was really rude at the front desk. Then my key card stopped working and although it’s something that can be fixed. After, a long day at the beach all you want to do is go to your room. It happened multiple times a day and after going to your room you had to walk back to the lobby to fix the issue. Still they refused to give me a new one. Internet sucks. Then our air conditioning stopped working at 4 am and they told us someone would come fix it at 7 am. Someone did come to fix it around 10 am. Room was only cleaned once during our stay. Property is nice and I would definitely stay in that area again but not in this hotel.

Room was clean, shower had absolutely no pressure and no hot water. One of the elevators had a broken door with a sign on it that says "dont not lean on" with 3 strands of caution tape on it. My husband lightly pushed it "out of curiosity" and the door would swing back open. Breakfast was good and hot probably one of the best omelets I have had. Their pool was okay not the best found lots if stuff in the pool like strands of hair, wipes, trash, etc. And the temperature was very warm not cold like you would think. Access to beach was very nice and super close to the hotel.Also the chairs and umbrellas are not free you have to pay 45.00 to rent for day( I didnt know ) I would have thought my 40.00 resort fee would have included that. We stayed 3 day and 2 night family of 5.

I put money in the dryer and it wouldn’t start, finally 10 minutes into the 30 minute timer it started working. The pool and deck area was nice, but the pool was very small. If you have kids and plan on spending time at the pool, you might look into neighboring hotels.

Staff should acknowledge one someone is speaking to them, they were paying more attention to their cell and to other personal conversations among themselves. I had to go to the Starbucks area, to have someone help me, because the person that was at the check in station would not acknowledge I was there. Also there was a smell of sewer in the restroom the whole time. The pool area adults had alcoholic drinks in the pool and intoxicated so our grandchildren were unable to enjoy the pool. The staff including the housekeepers lack courtesy towards others. I was told they accommodate me with another sofa bed and it didn’t happen, I feel I was told this to rid themselves of me also I asked for toilet paper one night and the following day the cleaning staff took it stating I was only allowed 2 rolls, I had 5 people in the room and the housekeeper was very rude, and was adamant not to return the 2 rolls she took. We didn’t have shampoo nor body wash left I called the front desk and I was told to tell who cleaned my room. The refrigerator was not working, it was replaced at 10:30 that day. I will never stay there again and my other family members will never stay there as well. The parking is horrible as well.

Parking was horrible/insufficient. Tiny swimming pool smaller than most apartment pools with 148 guest rooms in facility. Restaurant on site was mediocre at best. Breakfast was mediocre. Beach area was packed & very noisy with loud music from mid morning to sunset. Beach chairs & umbrellas were not complimentary as resort info didn't specify & were costly. One of the 2 desk attendants that I interacted with was very nice & helpful. I will never return here again.

Such a hidden gem! Beachfront, great buffet breakfast included (waffles, eggs, hasbrowns!) and steps from 3 bars and restaurants! I love that it’s towards the end of the beach for more privacy and I felt safe traveling there with teenage girls. The rooms are very spacious too! We stayed in the junior suite which had 2 bedrooms, 3 beds and 1 bath. Incredible! Not all rooms have a water view but this place is great and I will definitely be back!

The pool is pretty small and the timeframe we were there, it was packed with little kids. The breakfast was really good! Remember it’s on the 4th floor, but any other food is out back by the pool.

It is the 2nd time we stay in the hotel. The first time we stayed about 3 days this time we stayed 6. The location is great, you wake up and you are right there at the beach. It has many options to eat. Breakfast is ok. I feel the quality of breakfast of other hotels are better. The staff during breakfast is real nice and do a very good job in the kitchen. They’re very friendly and quick. We always get ocean view. This time we were put in room 441 which has a very nice view but the windows inside were opaque by the slat and old so you couldn’t have the full experience from inside the room. Instead you had to open the door to appreciate the view which it defeats the purpose on spending ocean view if you can’t really see it from the inside. Maid service was excellent and on time always. Front desk staff very nice and helpful except one young lady got upset when told our key wasn’t working. Instead of changing it she would argue the machine said it was working. Overall we would stay again because of the location and the convenience of having everything closed. The hotel is small so it doesn’t get super crowded.

Long black hairs in the shower. Air conditioner was super loud. The Starbucks was never open when it was supposed to be. The breakfast was very good. Had a good variety and the omelette so good! The only issue we had was the staff replenishing some of the items. They were out of yogurt so I ask for one and she said giver her 5 minutes. I did, so after 15 min I ask another lady and she went to the back and brought some out immediately.
‘I would seriously think about making the pool bigger. With that many rooms it is not big enough. We didn’t use the pool because it was so full the 3 days we were there.

For starters the room requested was not cleaned correctly, it was a small room with nowhere to put your clothes, I stayed 3 nights pulling my clothes out of the suitcase, no drawers, supposed to have a beach view,(NOT) Pool area, the elevator had CAUTION TAPE PLASTERED,do not lean on the door and the concierge people were eating at the desk like it was their day off. The bed was like a hot dog bun, you sink in the middle, not to mention the crunch and pop of the mattress. The breakfast was very good and the housekeepers were very accomodating. Would I return???NO

Room are clean, breakfast was great. The outside pool good. The only issues we encounter was that we got two calls to our room to check out earlier than what it says 11 am. The front desk staff was not as courteous.

Seriously disappointed with our stay. The sofa bed wasn't set up with the right sheets, which was a real bummer. Plus, the pool water looked pretty questionable, definitely not inviting. We asked for extra towels but they never showed up. Overall, a pretty frustrating experience.

A/C in room made noise.
A/C above us was leaking on to our balcony, making it difficult to sit outside.
Not enough luggage carts.
Our room was pleasant and comfortable and cleaned early.

I was very surprised by this resort. It exceeded my expectations on amenities, however, the room I could hear everything. Good thing I had a sound machine for my son but without it, we could hear the music outside and when people would open their doors it would sound like someone was trying to barge into our room. The tub also had some rust in it which could be covered up and better maintained. The pillows were terrible so next time I would bring my own. Other than that, the breakfast was amazing! The view was amazing! These are small things that I am really nit picking but I would definitely come again. The beach was great and the restaurants around the resort were amazing. Since the beach is north of the island, it wasn't as packed which was wonderful. The men who set up the umbrella and chairs to rent were super helpful too!

Great family friendly resort! It was very clean. The breakfast was amazing and the view are spectacular! You are walking distance from many restaurants and the pool is great for families!
