I would not recommend staying at this hotel. It is absolutely not worth the money.
The overall appearance of the hotel is disappointing, the bathrooms are dirty, and the rooms do not feel clean at all. On top of that, several things throughout the hotel simply don’t work. At one point we were stuck in the elevator for about 20 minutes. When we reported it to the front desk, there was no apology and no attempt to make up for the inconvenience. We asked if there was any type of voucher or compensation for the situation and were told they had nothing to offer.
While we were speaking with the concierge, other guests were also complaining about the elevators not working properly, and it didn’t seem like the staff were taking those concerns seriously.
The food at the restaurant was actually good, but unfortunately the service was not. Our server, Dion, was not very pleasant. We waited nearly two hours for our burgers, while two other families who arrived after us (a total of eight people) received their food within about 30 minutes.
Overall, the experience was frustrating and disappointing. We originally booked our stay through Monday, but we decided we would rather take the financial loss and leave early than continue staying here.
Save yourself the headache and book somewhere else and no I don’t want your apology and I don’t consider giving this hotel another chance!

The room was great. The front desk man was awesome!! super friendly and helpful. The gym has all the equipment you'll need...fully booked and clean. The building is old. The pool and hot tub were both shut down. We did use the sauna and fitness room. The parking garage is in need of a renovation...it looks like it will collapse soon. Many temporary posts holding up the roof. This crown plaza is getting old...needs a face lift. The fire alarm went off when we were there and had to go down the stairs and out the outside stairs to get out. There were signs of homeless people sleeping on the fire escape. Blankets and pillows and drug Paraphernalia.

Compassionate. First hotel Bestwestern turned me and my family away at 3:20am coming in from Indiana for a funeral because i was 20 minutes late due to travel conditions. Crown Plaze Staff came to rescue and allowed me to check in early so my family and I would not have to sleep in our car. Thank You Staff at Crown Plaza😁

There was no front desk person when we arrived. When he did show up, he seemed terribly inconvenienced to help us. The room has not been renovated in a very long time and it showed. It was not particularly clean. The only positive was the breakfast, which was very good and both breakfast and dinner staff were very pleasant and efficient.

I formally request that management investigate and question both front desk employees involved in this incident.

On Thursday, January 24th at around 10:00 PM, I checked into the hotel. The front desk charged only a $50 deposit, despite my clear request to charge the full amount and provide an invoice, as I had an early flight the next morning. My request was ignored.
The next morning, the staff claimed my card was not working and refused to insert it into the terminal, stating that PIN entry is not allowed at check-out. A second card was also rejected for the same reason.
This caused serious stress and almost made me miss my flight to Turkey. Additionally, although an ATM was located right next to the front desk, the staff failed to properly inform or guide me.Due to their incompetence, I nearly missed my flight. I do not recommend this hotel.

I took the shuttle to the airport alone at 645am. Get to the airport and the driver didn't put my suitcase in the back which he had in his hands when I walked to the door of the van. Go back to the hotel and they claim to not have the bag. Go back to the airport where the driver wanted me to get out and go inside the airport with him to speak to some man inside about my bag. I didn't get off the shuttle. This was all to fishy for me. We go back to the hotel. During this time the 7am crew is on duty. The man this time tells us he saw a suitcase in the employee coat closet when he put his jacket in there. So how did my bag go from outside by the shuttle to inside the closet? They are using this to traffic people and I would look like I went a miss from the hotel not the airport. Do not stay here as a single female...

We called to make sure the hot tub was working before booking our stay and they told us yes on the phone, but when we got there it was broken and we were told by one guy and that it just broke 2 hours before we got there cause he knew we were upset. But when we asked another 2 workers they both said it had been broken for a while.

So they lied and told us it was working so we would book our stay there!

Would not recommend this hotel at all parking lot is also a far walk from lobby entrance.

Rooms aren’t as nice as in the photos you see online either.

Stayed during winter so keep in mind that the parking is on an uncovered level 3, and snow was not plowed in a timely manner.

1 person checking the guest in the line was out the door! The room smelled like mold. Parking was HORRIBLE! And you have to pay $10 a night smh. The shuttle only goes to the airport and not the mall. The room next to me played loud music allllll night! Didn’t sleep well at all then to wake up and take a cold shower i left my room early 7am waste of my money!! The gentleman who checked me in was very rude and not vary talkative. I was in line and he decided to help to other individuals and it took forever I along with 3 others were getting frustrated because he was chatting away not having any consideration for the people waiting. He could of asked for more assistance. So when i approached the desk I began to spek and he cut me off and asked for my ID in a rude manner. I was already tired from my trip and waiting in line for over 20 minutes so I let it slide. My experience was great nice hotel I would definitely come back but hopefully to some nicer help.

This was not what I expected from a Crowne Plaza hotel. The property was very dated and check-in was difficult. The front desk staff announced my room number to the lobby. I was traveling alone as a single woman so I wasn’t thrilled with this (especially as a male later approached me while getting into the elevator)

The parking situation was difficult. I’m assuming the garage/ramp was starting to break down because many sections were cordoned off which made navigating it very difficult. Which spots you could/could not park in were marked but not clearly. There were many signs saying your car would be towed if you parked in the wrong spot yet many of the spots were “double marked” (said both hotel parking and reserved for apartment). I ended up parking down a “flight” to ensure I was safe. However, this meant walking up the stairs that were unlit and very slippery when wet. That was the most dangerous feeling of the night — especially as I checked in around midnight.

Finding my way from parking to the hotel was also difficult. There was no outside security. Anyone could enter the building. It took a few wrong turns before I found my way to the correct elevator bank. Then I waited for an elevator which never came despite pushing multiple times. This is when the male approached me and called the service elevator.

My room did not have a working tv and the shower dripped all night which flooded the bathroom floor.

Overall, I would NOT recommend for the price point.

Staff was friendly and check in was easy. The room itself was clean and spacious but did have an older smell to it. I specifically stayed at this hotel for the free shuttle to the airport as I had an early flight. I was told the shuttle starts at 4am and runs every 20min. However, after getting ready to get on the shuttle, the driver said he is only going to Terminal 1 today due to many pilots and flight attendants (I needed T2). So then had to download the app and request a Lyft driver. Luckily one was there within 1 minute!

Staff was polite and the check in/out process was smooth. No big issues, this was just not a good choice for a family vacation, would be better for a business traveler who needs a no-frills place to stay. In fact, many of their units appear to have been converted to apartments for this exact purpose. The TV didn’t allow you to rent a movie or connect a device so we couldn’t do movie night. Room was a bit run down looking. Tub and toilet were stained. Pool area also was a bit scraggly but the pool itself was huge and clean - we enjoyed that and the hot tub too. Still, I think we will pick a different hotel next time we’re in the area.

Floors need updated. Elevator floors were awful. Main floors have lots of scuffs and missing or chipped tiles. Beds were very comfortable. Food in restaurant was very good. They need more staff though. Pool and hot tub were very good. I’ve stayed here many many times over the years and I see it needs some TLC just in construction and closer cleaning in bathroom floor corners…..but then I’m one who cleans nooks and cranny’s. The staff work very hard and are very pleasant but they need extra workers.

What an amazing stay!
I went to the mall of America which is about 13 minutes away driving and 30-40 minutes walking.
Property- building was in great condition but the parking lot was under construction.
Parking: Fee of $10/day. Great price when you’re so close to the parking lot
Service: Everyone was super friendly and welcoming!
Room: The room had mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, USB port connectors and outlet connectors, in room blow dryer, mini soaps and clean towels. Housekeeping kept the beds made, room clean, and towels and toiletries filled.
Amenities: 1st floor has their bar and grill, small cafe sitting, shop, inside pool surrounded by windows and sunlight, game room and bathrooms. 2nd floor has the gym, lounge area, and private banquet rooms and airport Concorde
I chose this hotel for the game room and it did not disappoint! They had Virtual golf, foosball table, pool table, shuffleboard and an electronic hockey game. All free of charge! Additionally, the bar and grill was able to serve us in the game room so we could snack, drink and play. The food and drinks at the Grill was good and they are affordable.
The different amenities made this stay amazing and it made us feel like we were on a real vacation!

Property has shown aging for a while but this is the first time it was old and felt dirty in some places. There was a strange smell in one hallway and we ended up seeing a fan trying to dry out what looked like mold in a wall in a stairwell. The bathroom had not exhaust fan, so I can see why there would be moisture in certain spots. Also the entire parking ramp was being held up basically by metal support columns. We could see right through the ramp floor on the top to down below. Just run down. The staff however was extremely nice and helpful!

We feel waitress at dinner was more concerned about her regular bar patrons rather than attending to customers.
Also after we were on shuttle, driver informed us he does not stop at our terminal.
We had to figure out the light rail, good thing we left early!
Website said $10 a day for park and fly, we were charged $20 per day.

While the hotel was clean and quiet, and overall comfortable, a few small issues kept our stay from being a full five-star experience.
1.Unfortunately, the alarm clock in our room went off unexpectedly at 6 a.m. This woke up our two toddlers after a long day of travel, which made for a rough start to the morning. In the future, I’ll definitely be checking the alarm clocks as soon as we check in, but it would be helpful if housekeeping reset them between guests.
2.The internet-connected TV was frustrating to use. There were no clear instructions provided, and the password listed didn’t work—so we weren’t able to access the features, which was disappointing.
3.I also inquired about the courtyard that was mentioned in the listing, but was told it’s not actually available for guest use. That felt a bit misleading.

Overall, the stay was fine, but these small inconveniences added up and impacted the experience.

I came to Minneapolis to see a Twins game so I selected the Crowne Plaza because I have stayed there before and it's proximity to light rail. It was easy to get to the airport, the Mall and Target Field. The staff was great the room was comfortable. My only issue was there were no outlets near the bed for a phone charger. The breakfast was good, the bar (and bartender) were nice. I thought about using the pool but the smell of chlorine was strong.
I'd stay here again.

Good hotel but Twin Cities needs to clean streets

Hotel was fine and quiet. The onsite restaurant could have longer service hours and a menu with more options for less-processed meals: it was typical for a dull Midwestern diet. The hotel is conveniently located next to the MSP airport and commuter rail. Unfortunately, the Twin Cities have a problem with pot-smoking vagrants and these people like to take shelter in the hotel's port-cochere and lobby.

Lots of tears in the wall paper in hallways and some in the room. The carpet was coming up with the transition from the bathroom to the room. We had an unplanned stay caused by a blizzard and the hotel couldn’t have been better. We called for the free shuttle to collect us and it arrived in about 5 minutes. The room was spacious and comfortable, the beds were comfortable too.
We had pre booked our breakfast and had a huge, delicious, a la carte breakfast, served by a lovely waitress. It was huge value for money.
We travel through MSP regularly and will stay here in future if we need a hotel near the airport.

This property was definitely not what it seemed.
The rooms need updating.

The tvs were ancient and the cable continuously was going out. We couldn’t even finish a full show without it losing signal.

The blinds didn’t close to make it dark in the room. There was only translucent blinds so when the sun was up we were.

The shower hardly got warm. No chance of it getting hot to any extent. Same with the hot tub. It was luke warm at best and the pool was freezing.

And the parking. I have never had to pay additionally for parking. Especially when I had to park outside anyways. Initially the front desk when I brought up the additional charge for parking said “well you can write it in the review”. He did end up comping it but still

Save your money. Literally pick anywhere else.

Facility was nice and staff and amenities were great. Bed was absolutely horrible though and we left early because we were in so much pain from the poor sleep from the mqttress that definitely needs to be replaced.

Nice hotel. Stayed here a few times now. Excellent gym equipment.
Close to MOA.
Railway stop to downtown is outside the hotel.
Shuttle to and from airport was fast and efficient.
