I chose this hotel specifically for its location and convenience.
It’s perfectly positioned between two major highways in Dubai. Head east and you’ll reach Al Khail Road within minutes; make a U-turn heading west and you’ll be on Sheikh Zayed Road just as quickly. This makes getting around the city effortless, avoiding complicated exits and connecting roads. Downtown Dubai is also very close, which is a big plus.
The surrounding area is modest—don’t expect skyline views or glamorous city lights.
That said, I really liked the hotel. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
The food at Spices restaurant is excellent. Besides breakfast, I had two meals, and the staff—especially Ahmad and Nikhita—were exceptionally kind and friendly. They truly made the dining experience more enjoyable.
My only one-star point goes to the basement car park exit: it’s very narrow and definitely spikes your anxiety if you’re renting a car 😅. Other than that, I highly recommend Urban Al Khoory Hotel.

You could not charge food on your room. There were no US TV English channels and you had to mirror your computer to watch anything in English. The breakfast was the same every day and really needed to be changed up...it is a 3-star and not any more than that.....the staff was friendly, not overly friendly...... again a 3-star and that is what you are getting for your price.

I recently stayed at Urban Al Khrooy in Dubai, and I can confidently say it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
First, when I checked in, the receptionist enthusiastically told me I had a “beautiful view.” Imagine my disappointment when I got to my room and looked out the window—only to see an empty lot. Not exactly the stunning Dubai skyline I was expecting.
Then, I had reservations within the hour, so I was in a rush to shower and get ready. I stepped out of the shower, went to grab the iron—except there wasn’t one. What kind of hotel doesn’t have an iron in the room? I called the front desk, and they assured me they’d send one up. Fine. But the next morning, as I was hurrying to leave, I noticed the iron was gone. Apparently, housekeeping takes the iron every time they clean the room. This happened every single day of my six-night stay. Every. Single. Day. Who thought this was a good policy?
On top of all that, the room smelled awful. It reeked of damp carpet the entire time. I complained to the receptionist, who said they’d have the cleaning team “take a look.” But instead of offering me a different room or actually fixing the problem, nothing changed. I assume all the rooms must smell just as bad.
Between the misleading check-in, the disappearing iron saga, and the disgusting odor, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and book literally anywhere else.

The people working there were interpersonally disgusting. They tried to paint a picture of me that was inappropriate. Treated me like a person committing something deviant. Overall the staff acted biased towards me, and gave me an impression that they were having misconceptions or misunderstandings about me.
I was there on vacation as a solo traveler to see the country. It kind of took away from the experience that I was on vacation and away from work. I was annoyed by it and made me feel kinda out of place.

There were spots on the shower's walls, like mold, bathroom trash can was rusty. The water temperature in the shower won't remain stable, it gets too hot or too cold. The digital privacy request doesn't seem to be effective as they still enter the room to clean regardless. The rooms are spacious. Most of the night it's quiet, but around 5:40 am you can hear the singing from the mosque across the street. Most of the staff are nice. There is a supermarket next to the hotel which is very convenient. Overall, it was a good experience, but there is a lot of room for improvement.

It wasn't possible to take a relaxing shower because the temperature would change from hot to freezing cold and back. Other than that it was pretty good. Customer service was excellent, location of the property was great in terms of the proximity to everything. The breakfast was really good. The food was delicious and fresh. Their restaurant was open 24/7 which was excellent.

My stay at the Urban Al Khoory Hotel in Dubai was first class. All the staff were friendly and attentive.
The cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional both in the public areas and in the rooms.
The breakfast was amazing with a wide choice of items.

1. The musty smell in the room / in fact we rented 2 rooms and both had that same smell/ which didn’t go away despite aerating the room throughout the day.
2. The dusty area around the property and in the evenings it was packed everywhere around with parked cars, buses, minibuses and trucks.
However, the room was clean, bed was comfortable, there was a mini fridge, electric kettle, coffee, tea packets, excellent water pressure in the shower /I haven’t had this in a long time/ well-appointed rooms, blackout curtains, small restaurant, private garage, excellent wifi, great view from the top, a small pool and a hot tub on the rooftop, friendly service.
