The hotel is safe, clean, and cozy. The rooms are silent and the blackout curtains really do their job. The bed and Lenin’s are super comfortable and the hot water is hot! The staff are exceptionally helpful and kind from the kitchen to the front desk everyone made me feel welcome and went out of their way to anticipate my needs. My only minor suggestion is to please have separate serving utensils for cheese and meats during the evening nibbles.

This hotel is a gem, would love to keep it a secret. The self-serve bar and daily cheese trolley make it extra special. The breakfast has lots of variety and they have gluten-free options, just ask and they will be happy to provide these alternatives. My room was a comfy canal view. It had everything I needed. I will absolutely stay here again the next time I’m in Amsterdam.

Rooms are a little tired but everything else about the hotel and service is Amazing! Breakfast with Sandra was delicious! It made our mornings too ok start off breakfast with her and some awesome conversation. Jasmin at the front desk was very helpful and sweet. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing. They have a full open self serve bar in the lobby which is complimentary. They also have wine and cheese hour daily (we didn’t get a chance to participate) overall, location and value are a 10/10

What a great place to stay in Amsterdam. Great location. Was able to walk everywhere easily. Breakfast every morning was a great treat. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent, from the beginning when I checked in and when I checked out everything and everyone was superb.

The staff made me feel welcome, the facilities, the cleanliness was superb.

Many thanks for the complimentary gift and the upgrade of my room.

All the staff were superb and I want to say a special mention to Sandra and Shafani.

Sandra for cooking a wonderful Omelette for Basil and Shafani for showing Basil around.

The extra touches such as the cheese and wine hour were wonderful after a long day of sightseeing and walking.

The location is great and easy to get to from various train and tram stations. The major issue was that there were building works happening which I didn't know about. Every weekday from 11 - 2pm, there was A LOT of drilling and loud noise, which seemed to be right next to my room. I called downstairs and the front desk said they were \"flushing water through the pipes\" but that wasn't h the case. While it's relatively easy to be out of your room and exploring the city during that time, I would have liked to know about loud construction works before booking this hotel.

The room was clean. The stocked fridge with complimentary drinks from water to beer were great! Really appreciated the complimentary breakfast to start each day well! The location was very convenient. The staff was helpful and friendly. Each evening there was complimentary wine, cheese and charcuterie.

All day long, drinks of every variety were complimentary in the living room with snacks based on a daily theme available too. The coffee machine is also there. It also makes the best hot chocolate.

The Banks Mansion is an excellent hotel choice. I highly recommend it!

Great location and vicinity to central Amsterdam. But hotel is in dire need of renovation. Rooms are quite small and we had to change room first night, could not take shower due to broken valve. Second room was better but hall-way was under construction and all inside walls were exposed!

Perfect Stay in Amsterdam

We chose this hotel as the last week of our month long journey. We are certainly glad we did! Banks Mansion is a haven located near the Central Park of Amsterdam and within walking distance to Many of the must-see attractions. But not only is it warm and friendly, welcoming and inviting; their motto is an \"all inclusive\" theme. Happy hour with a full bar is open from 4pm - 12 midnight. This includes snacks with a cheese and charcuterie cart from 5pm - 6pm. The lobby area is set up for nice conversations with others or separate seating if you choose. Another wonderful perk is the full breakfast they offer from 7:30 - 10:00. It has everything you need to get you ready for a full day of walking and sight-seeing. The staff are very friendly and helpful with arranging dinner recommendations or a booked car to the airport. We enjoyed our stay immensely with Banks Mansion and will continue to recommend it to any who plan to travel to Amsterdam!

This hotel is not bad but doesn’t really live up to the hype. The room was so small that I couldn’t find any space on the floor to open my suitcase. There are large visible scuff marks and scratches along the walls and doors all over the property, which leaves the impression that the hotel has seen better days. The breakfast is pretty good but would benefit from more healthy or low-fat options. (The machine that squeezes fresh orange juice is pretty great though.) Pros: The pillow menu is a genuinely fantastic perk and the pillows are excellent. The beds are also quite comfortable (which is good since there’s not much room in the room for anything else.) The hotel had plenty of good qualities but not enough to make me want to stay there again.

My expectations were probably too high to begin with. The lady checking us in was very lovely. But I was hoping the all inclusive part would justify the price but found the cheese tray to be just that and the other offerings during the day limited in times on offer so you really needed to be quick if you want something. There are no signs or advice that you can't take a soft drink out of the building (but you can take them back to your room) I went to walk out with a soft drink and was called out to as I was at the door that this wasn't allowed, if I had known I wouldn't have grabbed one on my way out rather than being told at the exit and feeling like I was stealing. Breakfast was good, the lady cooking was lovely and made a great omelette. I would choose another hotel if I came back to Amsterdam. I feel the all inclusive wasn't inclusive enough to make it worthwhile for the extra cost than other hotels.

Excellent location, loved nearby Rembrandt square. The cheese trolley was very nice and loved drinks upon our return each evening. Enjoyed having water in mini bar in room. The staff were very nice especially the lady at breakfast! The breakfast buffet was very nice and pancakes delicious! I heard other guests being high maintenance with the front desk staff and they handled it professionally and politely. A/C in room was good and bathroom clean. We had a nice view of the canal but a bit of a sloped ceiling, not a big deal as neither of us were tall.

Honestly I have never had a better travel experience with a hotel. When you start here, you are family. Every person who works here is helpful, fun, kind and accommodating. Pre-trip communication with Cleo was informative and helpful. She offered wonderful suggestions and helped with any reservations I needed. Prior to arrival, I received an email requesting my pillow choice so that I could be as comfortable as possible. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast has many options and the gentleman making eggs is fabulous. He’s engaging, fun and cooks whatever you like to perfection. Susanna is your breakfast guide. She will give you Dutch lessons and even gave me a neck and shoulder massage my last morning. I want to return to Amsterdam just so I can stay here again. All of this and more for a very reasonable price.

The daily snacks, wine and breakfast were served spectacular. The breakfast guy and the lady there were very nice and welcoming. I liked the staff attitude they were all excellent and customer focused. The seating area could do with a refresh in the main lobby, but that said, it was lovely to sit and relax there in the evenings. Plenty of drinks on tap, and lots of snacks plus a daily cheeseboard was very welcome. The mini bar needs a bit more consideration in terms of what is placed in there, and milk should be available in every room to complement the coffee machines.

Good central location. Pleasant staff. Terrible breakfast with a limited choice, and the live-cooking only consists of omelettes, fried/scrambled eggs, or pancakes. Their website advertises the fact that if you don't see what you want, just ask, but if you ask for anything else (poached eggs) they refuse. Their website shows breakfast sandwiches with ham, lettuce, tomato and egg, but they are not available either. We enjoyed the wine (available after 4pm) however we're not fans of cheese so didn't partake in the cheese trolley or the 'snacks' which were either boiled sweets or dark chocolates. Dutch cookies were OK. Couldn't make mojitos as there were no limes available although there was mint. Our room was supposed to have bluetooth speakers but when we asked at reception for the PIN we were told that there were no speakers. After the holiday we found out that we had been misadvised and they should have just given us the PIN. All in all, an OK hotel in a good location, but it in no way does it live up to the hype of \"everything included, and if you don't see what you'd like, just ask\". We won't be returning here.

We stopped in Amsterdam for a few days out of a 5-week trip, and this was the best hotel we stayed in!! They are not kidding when they say they are full service. We had food and drinks available at all times. The staff was so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area.

There was mold in my shower. Two of the nights it was 40 degrees out but the room had no heat. A worker came to look and said that the heater was broken in my room and that they couldn’t move me since they were completely booked. They gave me an extra blanket and nothing else. I was uncomfortable and cold while sleeping, but there was no apology or reduction in the high price that I paid. Unacceptable for the price per night.
