We came here as we wanted to spend the weekend in york but didnt want to stay in the centre so choose to stay further out. So glad we did it was really peacefull not to far away from the centre of york. The motel was lovely as soon as you walked in you could smell the cleanliness. It was so clean and fresh. Beautifully decorated. The pictures do not do it justice. I would 100% recommend whether your a family or a couple. Plus the chinese restaurant/pub at the end of the drive is amazing and definitely worth a visit.

We had a couple of nights stay in the New Inn and it was a lovely clean comfortable place. Great check in and access to a fridge, plates and cutlery if you need it. Chinese restaurant just a minute walk away which was really good. There was a fish and chip place too but unfortunately it was closed while we were staying. Would definitely recommend staying here though, nice safe friendly little village with a great community shop five minute walk away.

Everything was superb, the room was warm, cosy and I had a great night's sleep in a very comfortable bed I was able to make plenty of hot drinks, there was bottled water and lovely toiletries in the bathroom The lady who served my breakfast was very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. Good breakfast and nice room. Terrible service - they never cleaned the room in the 4 nights that we stayed here. We came back in the late afternoon 2 days in a row and saw that nothing had been done and had to ask for new towels, tea and milk etc, 3rd day someone actually entered the room and did something but didn’t even make up the bed or provide new tissues, etc... Never got an apology, owner never went out of her way to help us, seemed disinterested and was hardly ever around. Breakfast was only served between 8-9am. Would never stay here again.

What a wonderful find! Set in a beautiful village with a bus stop right outside for the 30 min journey into York if you don't fancy driving. The rooms are in the most peaceful location and offer excellent facilities. TV, wifi, comfy bed, seating area, newly updated shower room, tea coffee and biscuits, hairdryer and toiletries. What more could you want? The owners are extremely welcoming and friendly and can't do enough to help. It's clear this is a labour of love for them and they work very hard to provide a first class product. The breakfast each morning was outstanding: cereal, toast, juice, then a plate of sausages, bacon, black pudding, egg, mushrooms, tomato and beans - and good quality produce at that! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we're sad to leave after 3 nights. We would recommend this without hesitation - it's terrific value for money and a lovely place to stay. We also must mention that if you're there and like fish and chips then try some from the little place across the road. They were the best fish and chips I've ever had. Thanks to the owners for a most wonderful stay.

Relatively good price given the location to York. Comfortable beds with a nice spacious bathroom. Nice breakfast but there could be more options available for veggies and vegans, including soy milk, porridge or veggie sausages with the breakfast. The tea and biscuits available in the room were a nice touch, and the owners were very pleasant too.

This B&B was perfect for our visit to York! It was easy to find with plenty parking and good facilities. The rooms were lovely and breakfast was great to start to our busy days of exploring. There was a park and ride just 5 minutes to be able to easily get into York without having to pay extortionate parking charges too. Will definitely visit again!

Renovated motel, excellent English breakfast. Room clean and comfortable. Bathroom renovated and loved the towel warmer! Nice to have parking outside door. Only downside would be location if visiting York. Had to drive in and find parking which is expensive and difficult to find. Other than that this is a great hidden Gem, not very many rooms so would not delay in booking.

This visit was to enable us to drop off our daugher at the Uni in York and was also an open day weekend, so everywhere was very busy accommodation wise. Booked the Motel as although it was a good drive (over 9 miles) from York itself, it was a reasonable price and included what turned out to be an excellent well cooked breakfast.
The room was somewhat dated but provided all that was needed, including a good walk in shower, fast wi fi and most importantly, a very comfortable bed with spotless linen. Wi fi was needed as phone signal was very poor. Having a place to sit outside was also appreciated.

Stayed here going to a York university open day. The owner is friendly and very well organised, and managed to get a really delicious breakfast on the table in shifts for the many people who were staying. The rooms are a tiny bit dated but more than adequate, great value and exactly what was needed. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely location and well stocked rooms. The location is quiet and in an idyllic village of Huby. The lane that leads to the Motel passes by a pub, The New Inn, which is the perfect place to unwind after driving around Yorkshire for the day. Likewise, just a short walk from the motel is another pub, The Mended Drum, that serves excellent food. The owners are very welcoming and the breakfasts set you up for the day ahead.
