The Rigdon House was a wonderful choice for our family's long weekend trip. The location is unbeatable — surrounded by cute shops and just a 3–5 minute walk to great restaurants.
Christian at the front desk was a standout: incredibly warm and welcoming. He even invited our three kids to enjoy happy hour, where the whole family was treated to drinks and snacks. Little extras like coffee, tea, and hot chocolate made us feel right at home.
Our family room was spacious and came equipped with a fridge and microwave, which was super handy for reheating leftovers. The cozy fireplace out back was a lovely touch to end the evenings.

A true historical landmark, with oversize rooms and while it is run, something like a B&B, it is very thoughtful in it’s curated amenities. Pour over Coffee in the room…amazing ! The guest wine reception made the entire place, feel like home, extremely pet, friendly, and overall tremendous value and great experience.

We loved that there was a fridge, microwave, kitchen table, and tea pots and sets. Cherry on top was the fireplace and tv for each separate room, one set for the king bed side and one set for the side with the two queen beds. The bathroom was spacious and there were ample towels to use, lots of space to place luggage neatly. Clean hardwood floors. Such a cute place. Love the little touches like the private tour when you check in, the games in the lounge area, the adorable tea cups, their happy hour drinks, an actual real key on a gold keychain, and the fire pit on a nice patio. I wasn’t expecting much from the price, so was very pleasantly surprised. Certain things are outdated, but in a cool old fashioned way. And you can walk to shops and restaurants so the location is perfect. Would stay here again.

This was our third stay at Rigdon House and our worst. We like Rigdon House because check-in and check-out is--at least was--easy; rooms are clean with good amenities; restaurants and shops are in easy walking distance; and there's a huge patio in the back with lots of seating.
It was our worst visit because:
1) There was no desk clerk available much of the time. In our past visits there was always a clerk at or very near the check-in desk. We had to wait to check in. There was a posted phone number, which I called, but I had to leave a message. It was never answered. A clerk finally appeared. To his credit, he was friendly and helpful. But there was no clerk available when we left Rigdon House to head home. I like to get a print-out of the receipt to make sure there are no unexpected charges. (There never have been.)
2) The room mattress was terrible. It actually squeaked and creaked--fairly loudly--with each and every turn of our bodies.
As said, this was our third stay. It is very probably our last, mostly because of the absence of the desk clerk.

Bed was great, which in my opinion is the most important aspect of any hotel room. There was a huge amount of space in the room, which we appreciated. They are dog friendly, and the rooms provide enough space for fur babies, even though we weren't able to bring ours. The staff is helpful and the location is fabulous to hit some cool parts of Cambria. We loved hearing the frogs from the nearby creek and the view is great from the room. We liked the firepit outside as well. Parking was easy and the wifi was pretty fast. Even though it's an older property, everything works. It's not the fanciest place ever (it shows its age), but it has a really nice mellow vibe, and it has now become our \"go-to\" place to stay whenever we want a mini-vacation in Cambria.

We visit Cambria twice a year to see family. The Rigdon House been our \"go to\" but, unfortunately, it has lost its charm the last 18-24 months. The rooms are in dire need of an upgrade. The bed(s) is far too soft and causes backaches. Terrible night's sleep. The furniture is old and falling apart. The sofa cushions were shabby, stained and smelled of body odor. Lamps either have burnt out bulbs or the switches are broken. The TV's and internet are a hit or miss. We only had WiFi for one of our three nights. They also added a front lobby door entry keypad without telling us and found out that evening when the \"only\" staff member on the premises was leaving for the evening (8 pm).

It’s a french country style and has cozy ambiance. The room where we stayed, King suite, was large and roomy, has a TV room with sofa bed coffeetable, bench which I used as luggage rack. There’s water filling station with ice dispenser. Outside, it looks old but inside it’s quite updated especially the bathrooom. What we experienced as 1st, they have happy hour and you can have 2 drinks for free, pizza, with live music. They really want their guests to relax and enjoy their stay. David is such a great at front desk, as bar tender, and very accomodating. We had a great time in Cambria.

We loved the location and the property! We had a spacious room in the 1970's building. Next time we will tryout the historical side that was built in the late 1800's! The back patio and grounds were amazing and the lobby, sitting room, lounge and dining rooms are a blast from a ritzy past. We walked to the Hidden Kitchen for an awesome breakfast with great coffee!

The Rigdon House was such a delightful place to stay. This small inn is just a block or two from Main Street in Cambria, making it an easy walk to charming shops and delicious restaurants. It’s also conveniently located directly across the street from the Cambria Christmas Market shuttle pick-up spot.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this place! If I could rate it at 10 stars, I would! We stayed there for two nights for our 15th wedding anniversary and had such an amazing time. I had told the manager that we were celebrating our anniversary and they offered us a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival. They have a fantastic FREE happy hour in the evenings with some truly fantastic drinks (not watered down, pre mixed bottle kind, but the real deal with a different selection each night)! Our room was so spacious and lovely with a separate seating area. We also enjoyed the patio at night with the fire pit. The hotel was apparently built in the late 1800's, so it has this fantastic charm that you rarely see anymore. But it has be renovated and kept up, without losing that unique character. The location was also ideal as we could walk to everything. We will definitely be back! Already looking forward to our next stay! Highly recommend!
