A secluded place in the outskirts of Epernay

Le Corrigot is a very nice place with a garden. The rooms are nice and beds are good. The breakfast is good with excellent bred from the nearby boulangerie.

Lovely place to stay

Lovely place to stay. We had the private room and hot tub. The room had its own outside area which was brilliant.
Morning breakfast in the breakfast room is self service with amazing fresh croissants.
The grounds have many cats which are friendly and beautiful gardens.
Unfortunately at the time of our stay there were big vehicles parked outside the residence, which made parking difficult. Parking was available 200m down the road.

Nice place, comfortable large bed, we stayed in the oriental room. Lighting poor in the bathroom also the bedside lights. Very stylish. There is wifi but it doesn’t reach the bedroom. Very good kitchen and dining and lounge area downstairs. The bedroom is up a quite steep stairs, overlooking a lovely garden. Breakfast is good a serve yourself buffet

We got a great impression straightaway: we arrived very early and the owner kindly let us straight in - which was just what we needed after a 4:30 start! The room was superb, themed and very stylish with countless individual touches. Our ‘wing’ of the house had an excellent common room which had a full range of amenities to make us feel at home, up to and including the facilities for full scale cooking if required. Breakfast was excellent.
Pierry was a beautiful little town, calm and tranquil with a plethora of champagne houses and other attractions.
Nearby Épernay - and especially L’Avenue de Champagne - were awesome. Everything you’d expect from the the world’s great marques.
Which altogether made for a fabulous vacation in the very heart of champagne country.

Watch out when you pay for your stay at Le Corrigot via ebookers!!! You will be taken advantage of and ripped off if you get the treatment we got!
We stayed here in August 2019 and paid upfront by credit card via ebookers upon booking. On site, we were obliged to pay the same amount again in cash for the same booking, as instructed by the person onsite (Leticia), due to her maintaining that the site is not equipped for credit card payments and notwithstanding the information provided by ebookers and my explaining and showing that we had received an invoice/receipt confirming the payment by e-mail. I mislaid the receipt for the cash payment, which is unfortunate considering subsequent events.
Upon receipt of the credit card statement, I immediately approached Le Corrigot and ebookers for a refund of the amount overpaid. My claim remains unresolved to date (almost one year after the facts!), as Le Corrigot continues to dismally fail to address this matter with me or ebookers, by remaining deaf and mute to our many attempts to communicate. This is unfortunate as we had a very pleasant stay at this address, but I fear that Le Corrigot cannot be trusted.
Ebookers have been great, but their room for action is limited considering Le Corrigot's uncooperative and dishonest behaviour.
Bottom line: we feel scammed!!!

Located in Pierry, a few miles from Epernay. It is in owner's property. Room was cosy with large bathroon on first floor thru stairs and view to the garden. On the ground floor there was like a living area for the guests. Wifi did not reach the room. Garden must be nice in summer times. Breakfast was very good and the owner very attentive. We wanted to park the car inside, instead of the street, but it was not possible during our stay.

This is a wonderful, fun place. I especially loved basking in the sun in the breakfast room. Rooms were nice. The breakfast was fantastic. I loved the garden with the cats and chickens and ducks and huge rabbit. And the people were soooo nice.

Not easy trying to find the proprietor, but very pleasant when we phoned. A simple office sign would be sensible to help as lots of doors! We stayed in the business room which had a magnicent bathroom. Quaint and querqy is how I would describe the house, good area for making teas and coffee downstairs or just for sitting. Breakfast very good, freshly cooked eggs and bacon with plenty of other selections.

Beautiful Property

The property is beautiful. They will struggle for an early check in, 5pm is check in time. The whole garden, rooms, kitchen area, communal living room are all beautiful. The bathroom in the Business room is exquisite. The walk in water fall shower is dreamy and the breakfast is quaint. There are 4 champagne houses in walking distance and Epernay is a 15Euro cab from the Gite. i cannot rate this property more. Was great to buy food from the Supermarket and keep this in the fridge for a quick cheap lunch.

It was a quick stay for us. I booked the hotel last minute and got there at around 8:30-9. Check in was a bit weird as there wasn’t anyone at the main entrance/desk/lobby so I called hotels.com to get me in touch with someone from the property. A young girl came out to give us the key. Unfortunately because of the language barrier I couldn’t understand much. She gave me keys and told me where breakfast would be served. We didn’t stay for breakfast as we left early the next morning. We parked outside the hotel hoping we wouldn’t get towed, I tried to ask for parking instructions but had no luck we did see other car parked on the side of the road so we did the same. The hotel was clean and bed was comfy. Enough towels, bottled water and pretty shower. Overall it was a good stay. Hotels.com saved the day otherwise we probably wouldn’t have been able to check in. Book in advance and contact property to get check in details if planning to arrive late.

Quite and comfort stay

When they say 5pm check in, they mean it. We called a day ahead to inform of our arrival around 3pm, just in case to have somebody at the place, but no luck. We waited for 2 hours so we just drove around town and went back around 4:20pm, parked and waited outside. The place is near the city but the location is in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms are clean and cozy, and the breakfast was good with warm bacon, crepes, and eggs. If you're a cat lover, they have at least 10 huge beautiful cats that will greet you out in the garden.

it is an experience, haha. Funny place. Really a b n b and not a hotel. Well, take it for the low price. Good thing is the breakfast. You feel that the room is dirty. Understand that there is not enough man power to keep the place up, and the best thing to do is to leave the room simple.... but there are unnecessarily too many \"decoration\" to trap the dust... like the carpet...You look at it and feel itchy and so we turn it over to make a path to walk to the bathroom, haha. The garden is so so under kept... very messy.

Out of the way in the Champagne district

This was S a lovely, very out of the way B&B. Not as convenient to Epernay as we had hoped, and a little difficult to find. That said, it is a lovely chateau, with a somewhat wild but lovely grounds and lots of friendly cats!( we counted 7 but I'll bet there are more!). Limited English spoken but we managed. No restaurants right in town, you need to drive a bit to find one.

We arrived 20 mins after the 2 hour check in window, having called and left a message and sent an email to say we would be late. I was made to feel quite uncomfortable about this, with the owner doing little to hide her irritation with us. We were told to park out on the road but then guests who arrived much later than us were allowed to park on site. The room was comfortable and clean, but I would not use this hotel again because of the overall feeling of not being made welcome.

Good location to explore the Champagne area.

We found the room adequate and comfortable with good shower facilities.
We arrived at the end of April, and got the impression that the hosts were not really prepared for guests.
The breakfast and facilities were poor. Although eggs and bacon were offered and greatfully received, in general the breakfast experience could be greatly improved.
After numerous attempts to watch the TV, even the host could not provide us with a picture.
We were however offered to watch the TV in the lounge which was in full working order.
Although there were no major problems with the stay, we will not be returning and would not recommend to friends.

Three day tour of Champagne region by a US couple

The room (La Romance) was truly outstanding. The rest of the facilities, especially the breakfast room with glass walls on three sides to look out over the wonderful garden and the patio seating, were also fantastic. Breakfast was amazing. The wonderful fresh cooked eggs (possibly from a small hen house in the garden?) were a nice change from the powdered egg garbage you get at U.S. hotel breakfast buffets. There were also freshly made crepes and bacon as well as pastries, cereals, meats, cheeses, juice, coffee, etc.). One drawback would be the wifi access. The router range did not extend to our room or the breakfast area so it made it a challenge to check email. The only place we were ever able to get connected was from a single spot in the garden. I would think that with the rest of the rooms other than the Parental and the Romance you would probably be able to get a signal. Other than the wifi issues I would have no reservations about highly recommending to anyone either from France or who speaks French. However, if no one in your party speaks French be warned that none of the staff speak more than a few words of English. There were several times when the language barrier made the stay quite challenging (i.e. figuring out when breakfast was going to be, payment issues, etc.). Also, I wouldn't recommend prepaying with a website if staying at this B&B as it's a very small mom & pop operation and is not very tech savvy (no record of payment upon check in).

Ser idyllisk og autentisk ud, men der er ulækkert, og ikke rent, dette måtte vi påtale, spa'en som hørte med til vores værelse, stank af gammelt vand, det måtte skiftes, værelset vi boede på var møgbeskidt, og der var tydelige problemer med kloakken, så vi kunne ikke tage bad særlig lang tid, wifi virkede ikke, der var ikke morgenmad klar 8.30 osv osv. skraldespandende blev ikke tømt, så der var fluer overalt, samt myrere

If you like it hippie, you can stay there

Honestly, the only good thing about this stay was breakfast. The croissants were really tasty, coming from the bakery in the village.

All the rest:
- upon checkin we found no one on the premises.
We called and they said they would send someone and waited for 20 minutes. Nothing happened. We called at another number and finally after waiting for 5 more someone appeard without even excusing themselves.

Premises:
- wild and green but dirty.
- Staircase: dirty

Room:
- Dust under the bed
- Plastic matrass, so you can hear sounds every time you turn
- Unexistent sonor isolation. We heard everything out neighbouring room did. Walking.
- No ventilation in the bathroom

Extra - we could not park on the premises - only SPECIAL cars were allowed - oldtimes and very expensive ones. What kind of discrimination is that?!

All in all - I will never stay there again nor I would reccomend this plcae to anyone.

Er was even wat mis communicatie over het tijdstip van de incheck. Er was iemand aanwezig tussen 17.00 en 19.00 uur. Door omstandigheden arriveerden we later. We hebben zelf gebeld en kregen te horen waar we moesten zijn en dat de sleutel op de deur zat. Verder was het een geweldig uitgebreid ontbijt. Veel keuze en alles biologisch! Top!

Bon séjour, mais manque d’insonorisation

Le séjour s’est bien déroulé, mais j’ai été surpris en arrivant car le spa est réservé à une chambre particulière (je n’ai pas fait attention pendant la réservation). La maison est très sympa, le jardin est superbe. La maison est en cours de rénovation mais ce n’était pas gênant. L’accueil était très bien, par contre la chambre n’est pas vraiment insonorisée, dommage avec nos bruyant voisins qui se sont levés avant 7h! Le petit dej était top. Le village est agréable.
