The path that leads to the hotel is really not that obvious, I suggest that they put up a bigger sign to indicate its entrance.
The room is small and the interior has an old look. The mattress is old and the back can feel the springs. The electric kettle is rusty, fortunately the front desk lady provided us a cleaner looking one. The rooms are badly soundproofed. The guests above arrived at midnight and the noice they made above our heads woke us up and lasted for half hour. And the next morning woke us up!
The good thing is the location, just 5 minutes away from our destination Hautvillers, the berceau of the Champagne wine, where one finds good restaurants and wineries.

Value for money. Friendly welcome.

Typical Campanile hotel, you know what what you're getting - clean and comfortable and reasonable vfm. Room 37 had a slight odour of cigarette smoke but nothing overwhelming. Breakfast was very good, definitely recommended and service atvthe reception desk was very friendly both upon checking in and checking out.

A good place to stay for a visit to Epernay

Reception at the hotel was quick and easy. The hotel staff were very polite and friendly. The room was clean and tidy and had air conditioning, so it was comfortable to sleep. The location is very close to Epernay, with an easy, 5 minute, drive into the centre.

Basic hotel filled our needs when visiting eperney. Not quite an ibis irtravelodge but for the money couldnt complain. If you are from the uk you may struggle to use a uk plug adaptor due to tge siting of the plugs.

You get what you pay for

The hotel is nice enough. Breakfast was disappointing. Dinner at the restaurant was good. Kevin at the front desk was amazing and incredibly helpful. But, the room was very basic. Beds were not very comfy. Light switches right on the headboard meant lights get turned on if you or your pillow touches the switch. AC has to be running all the time to prevent a funny, musty smell. Rooms are not very soundproof. Not very close to Epernay proper-not walkable. For the price, it worked, but we wouldn't stay again. We would personally prefer to pay a bit more for more comfort and convenience.

Cheap&simple: perfect for an on-the-road stopover.

This is a simple, but perfectly ok hotel, to stay at if you are passing by Epernay by car. It is actually more of a motel than a hotel, situated right by the road. We spent the night on our way west, and were happy with our stay. It was clean, which is probably the most important to me. The mattresses are horrible though, so stay away if you have back issues.

An ideal location for visiting the Champagne area.

We selected this for an overnight stop between Switzerland and Calais but plan returning for a long weekend to revisit the Champagne area. It is perfectly situated on close to the many Champagne houses in Epernay and on the scenic Cahampagne route and adjacent to the vineyards.
The staff were very polite and welcoming. The restaurant was an additional bonus serving a very good buffet breakfast and the evening meals was excellent.

This is a lovely location for this budget hotel with spacious and clean rooms and neat shower rooms. The staff were very pleasant and the meal in the restaurant was very convenient and acceptable, I would definitely recommend this place. Cycling along the Rhone is very pleasant too and literally right outside the front door.

Hotel in good location for champagne tasting

The hotel was quite a way out of Epernay but easy to find, despite the entry being through a housing estate. The location is however good for a trip round the champagne houses. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. The most disappointing thing was the restaurant where the meals seem over priced for what you get and the selection is poor. The revamped restaurants are clinical and cold compared to the old homely atmospheres.

stopped in this hotel last minute during a business trip, the hotel is about 30-40 minute walk from city center, nice little hotel, service was kind and welcoming, the room was a little stuffy and old, internet was horribly slow, on the upside the surrounding view is magnificent and breakfast was great.

Don't be put off by a brisk walk

Admittedly this a 20-30 minute walk from the centre but we actually quite liked it to work off the food and drink you will inevitably consume. There are some decent champagne houses on your doorstep too.

The hotel is located among the vineyards of Champagne, a short drive from Epernay. It looks a bit tired though, needing a lick of paint. The restaurant is in a much better state. Being a vegetarian, I had a big problem ordering anything suitable. The only dish the staff offered was an omelette I wasn't keen on. I ended up having some basmati rice with cooked green beans. So much for the famed French cuisine. Don't they understand the concept of vegetarianism?

The staff was very helpful, the room was clean and the bathroom well maintained and clean. Dinner was good and we were able to make our own oatmeal ( we brought some) and coffee since it had an electric kettle. we were able to park right in front of the room, so it was very convenient. All the Champagne houses were very close.

Nice hotel on a roundabout but next to vineyards

This is a really nice Campanile Hotel and location. It also boasts a pleasant restaurant and menu. We have used this hotel before and been very pleased. Indeed, we will use it again but can we please have more than one breakfast tea bag and two little cartons of milk next time. Even when I asked for some more, the receptionist couldn't find any other than a couple of bags of earl grey. I paid 16 euros less in an Ibis hotel at a superb location near valence which was equally as nice but with everything you needed.

Excellent hotel to visit the various champagne houses. Some within walking distance. The room had a big double bed with good sized en suite. There was a kettle and TV but could not get TV to work - never bothered to get it fixed as we had no time to watch TV. Would stay here again.

Ideal for a cheap overnight stay

we only needed an overnight stay and this hotel was fine, not really close to any action but we were on a motorbike tour so just popped out on the bike which was fine. Decided to eat in the hotel restaurant in the end which to be honest wasn't great but for an overnight stay it was clean, dry, warm and secure so all we could ask for.

Hotel is fine for a budget hotel. You need a car. On the road between Epernay and Reims about 5 min by car to Epernay center and 15 to Reims. Also close to other towns with wine tasting caves. In room coffee and tea. Good breakfast for 9 euros. Free parking. Girls at reception were nice and very helpful.

Great place to stay en-route. Views of vineyards, much better than those hotels located on an industrial estate close to a motorway.
Good restaurant and clean/comfortable room with A/C, WiFi and coffe making facilities however on this visit (we stay there about 6 times a yr) could not give top marks due to poor attention to detail by management - lock not working properly on room door and restaurant running out of some items.

We concur with the other reviewer that said the restaurant had the worst food in France. After saying that the food I had ordered was not that good the waitress said, yeah most English speaking people don't like it. There was no rapport with the guests just business purely business. The countryside is so beautiful a little customer service would have made the visit perfect. There is also no exact address provided so finding the place the first time is very difficult. Once you have found it returning is simple.
Not a total loss but I would look for a place with a little more homey feeling. This is the first hotel I have given a poor rating to.

It was over 80 degrees outside. In the room, it was close to 80. We requested twice to have the AC turned on and we were told that it was not the season yet. We only stayed one night instead of two and ended up at the Best Western (highly recommended) downtown Epernay.
Compared to Best Western, breakfast was very bad.
I am French and I must say, beware of what you pay for.

Avoid this Campanile at any cause.

The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The room was very small, but a good value. Very easy access to Epernay and the countryside south of Rheims which is very pretty with champaigne vinyards. Staff was quite friendly, spoke enough English to help us.

My only complaint - the beds were very hard.

This welcome stop-over just north of Epernay on the way back from Switzerland was bit like a Travelodge, but a bit smarter. Very comfy beds, aircon and tea/coffee facilities in the ensuite room. Very quiet location with big branch of 'ELeClerc' with filling station nearby and Champagne producers up the road at Hautvillers.

The restaurant was closed for refurbishment and we declined the 9 Euro breakfast tray in favour of a stop-over en-route.

Have not used one of the 'Campanile' chain before but would again for a budget stop-over.

Have been doing quite a lot of travel in europe lately, and this hotel gets great marks. The bed was comfortable, and one of the larger \"doubles\" we've stayed in. It was one bed, not two pressed together, and it was nearly the size of a queen. And, important in the summer, it had Air Conditioning. We've been to a lot of places recently that advertise AC, and arrive to find no AC. (you're luck if you have a fan at a lot of them.) The only draw-back to this hotel is that it's a quite long walk into Epernay. If you're driving every where and don't plan to drink much, you can't beat this hotel.

Nous avions anticipé notre venue en nous renseignant sur l'heure maximale d'arrivée pour récupérer les clefs. 22 h !
De ce fait, nous avons récupéré notre carte magnétique à 16h30 avant de nous rendre au concert pour éviter tout inconvénient.
A notre arrivée à l'hotel vers minuit trente, impossible d'ouvrir la porte de la chambre. Un couple sort alors de la chambre réservée en nous demandant ce que nous faisions. après vérifications, nous avions tous les 2 la même chambre attribuée.
Lorsque nous avons appelé le numéro d'urgence, nous nous sommes fait \"recevoir\" car nous venions de réveiller la personne.
Au final une autre chambre nous avait été attribuée, sans nous prévenir et pas dans le standard quie nous avions réservé (1 chambre lit 2 personnes).

Malgré tout la chambre était propre, prête. l'accueil à notre arrivée à 16h30 ainsi qu'au moment du petit déjeuner était bien . ( Je voulais modifier en 3 étoiles mais plus possible à cet instant)

Un établissement à rénover au plus vite.

L'établissement est vieillissant, et propose un confort relatif. En effet, la chambre n'est pas isolée et nous acons eu froid toute la nuit, malgré un chauffage poussé au maximum. Le service est cependant agréable et le personnel est sympathique. La literie laisse a désirer au niveau du confort, même si la propreté est indéniable.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour, et en + le personnel a été très coopératif car avant notre arrivée nous avons plusieurs fois pour raisons professionnelles, été obligés de changer, soit de jour d'arrivée pour 1 ou 2 chambres, (en avance) soit pour la 3ème chambre de jour de départ (plus tard) et il nous a aussi été possible d'obtenir les 3 chambres cotes à cote pour les jours où nous étions tous réunis. un GRAND MERCI

Séjour correct, personnel sympathique et accueillant, petit déjeuner très garni et le personnel veille à l'approvisionnement. Très calme.
