We like the location and after booking on Expedia, we were contacted by the hotel through e-mail, saying they have live music on Saturday nights and it may be loud. We were excited to see live music. We arrived fairly early, just before 11am, and waiting for almost 20 mins at the front desk. There was no one there, no sign about how to check in. Finally we went with our bags into the Restaurant, and were told we couldn't sit in the section was sat in, but they offered to take our bags to a room until check in. When we checked in, it was the same person who saw us standing there for 20 mins and didn't talk to us. They then couldn't find our reservation. I pulled up all the e-mails that I had sent and received from the hotel, and they gave us a room for the night. We tried to eat at the restaurant at 1pm, and were told that it was a special day, and we couldn't eat there. This is after a man came in after us with a party of 5 and was seated. Our French is limited, and I found everyone else on this trip very friendly and accommodating, with the exception of this property. We had nothing but issues with check in and check out and our attempt at eating lunch. We ending up going out to other places at night, because I didn't want to support this place with another dollar.

The views are amazing! You can walk to the beach and there is plenty of restaurants. I found the hostess to be one of the friendliest people I have met on this island. The music goes a bit late on friday and saturday nights but its an island thing.

A small hotel, on the water in Martinique

Our room was small, the bathroom was large and the whole place was clean. Not much of a view on the first floor but the second floor had a great view of the water. There was a breakfast buffet, continental style, and eggs were an option. Croissants, yogurt, various deli-type meats were available. Dining was on a veranda on the water with great views of the sailboats in the harbor.

The staff was very helpful, contrary to reviews I had read. They suffered my high school French until it was too painful for them and then they dragged out their English after much laughter on both sides.

They also serve lunch and dinner, not included in the room price, and on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, there is a band playing music you can actually dance to!

Would we go back? Yes, we would. Ste Anne is lovely and quiet but about a 100 euro cab ride from the airport. It is close to the marina where we were picking up a sailboat, but that's another review!

Avoid staying here Friday and Saturday night

Pros: The view was amazing and the hotel was in an excellent location. Street parking isn't metered and was never more than a block or two from the hotel. The staff downstairs were friendly and made their best attempt to communicate with us despite both parties having limited knowledge of the others' language.

Cons: Unless you are planning to party, don't stay here Friday or Saturday night. The music downstairs ended around 12:30am, but even the heaviest sleeper won't be able to sleep through the beach parties that went past 3am. If we weren't on a tight travel budget we would have left after the first night. Sunday night was okay, the music stopped around 11pm. Also, the bathroom was very moldy and had moths and cockroaches that came out at night.

This is not a hotel, it's at best, a motel.

We would have been fine with this place if we paid appropriately ($30/night). The bare room has a bed, table and chair. The bedside lamp did not work. Only one power outlet worked, which we used to charge our phones, iPad, computer, hair dryer etc.

There was a constant sewage stench coming out of the shower stall. The bathrooms, although, clean, looked like public bathrooms both in design and the general condition. No toiletries were supplied, but clean towels were supplied every day.

The key is a simple metal key, and only one is given. Once we came in while room service was in progress and we forgot our key in the door on the outside of the room. The cleaning lady, who was cleaning a nearby room must have though it was her who forgot the key in the door, locked the room, took the key and left us locked inside. Needless to mention, there is no phone in the room and we had to bang loudly on the door to be rescued.

The breakfast is an embarrassing self served fair on a remote hidden corner of the restaurant. It includes sliced hard cheese, sliced salami, sliced watermelon, pineapple, melon, a bread basket with a few slices of baguette, and a croissant, and machine coffee served on dinner plates.

The hotel has a popular bar which operates until late. On the Friday before our 5am flight there was a live show until 3 in the morning. If you plan on sleeping, perhaps this is not your best choice.

The staff was very courteous and if you're lucky you'll get marina views.

Superb location and really good staff.

We booked this via Expedia. We loved the location. We had a great view of the sea, rather than a side room. There was lots of live music in the hotel, which we liked, but it may not suit people who want a very quiet time. It did not go on too late. There was no fridge - this is really important in this climate to have some chilled water. After a week we asked if there was one, and one was found for us. The bar, itself, were happy to provide, ice cubes to chill your water. We would definitely go again.

Beautiful eating area and nice staff.

To be honest, I apparently got the last room that the hotel had. It was terrible, the room was absolutely miserable; if you book here ensure you do not get room #19. I did get to see pictures of other rooms and they looked nice, and many other guests said the same about their rooms. So it may have just been my room.

Waking up to eat a free breakfast on the Caribbean Sea was wonderful. The views were amazing (just not from my room) the front desk staff is willing to assist with everything when Sophie is there. At night if you Check in the bar staff can't assist with much but giving you the key. The restaraunt itself was awesome ; food was great. They did however party until almost 3 am every Thursday Friday and Saturday. The hotel is about an hour walk from salines beach and a 9 minute drive.

Home away from home

Everyone at La Dunette made us feel comfortable and cared for. The views from the hotel are of a gorgeous bay. It is not a fancy place, but that is part of what makes it so lovely. La Dunette gave us a great home base as we explored the island. It truly felt like home while we were there. We cannot wait to return!

Hôtel avec une magnifique vue... par contre extrêmement bruyant, il y a un bar/discothèque sur la terrasse même de l’hôtel et les fenêtres ne sont absolument pas isolées.Vous entendez la musique comme si vous y étiez.
A conseiller donc pour les jeunes personnes/couples qui veulent faire la fête ou un endroit dynamique par contre si vous voulez vous reposer passer votre chemin...

Cet hotel est vraiment les pieds dans l eau !! Pas besoin de piscine. Extérieur et ponton bien équipés avec ses salons, balançoires , bains de soleil, a même la mer . Personel tres agréable , dévoué et cool ! Bravo! Animations nocturnes au top avec orchestre différents le week-end. Il y axeu un petit effort sur la renovation des chambres, mais la serrure de ma porte lochait et difficile à ouvrircet fermer , il faut avoir de la patience!

Attention à la chambre qu'on vous donnera

J'ai fait 2 séjours dans 2 chambres différentes à la Dunette, et le bilan est mitigé. La première chambre (la 12) était très bien : chambre spacieuse, belle vue, salle d'eau agréable avec une grande douche, grand bureau pour étaler ses affaires, déco sympa, mobilier et literie en bon état. La deuxième chambre (la 7) était très décevante : vieillotte, déco kitch, un petit bureau déjà encombré par la TV, une seule prise électrique difficilement accessible, éclairage néon, petite salle d'eau avec une toute petite cabine de douche en mauvais état, pas complètement propre, et une vue gâchée par un toit devant le balcon. Pourtant, ces 2 chambres sont au même prix ! À noter quand même que la literie était très correcte dans les 2 chambres.
Comme ça à déjà été dit, l'endroit est bruyant. C'est le prix à payer si on veut séjourner dans un lieu animé, et la musique ne dure pas non plus toute la nuit. Si vous êtes couche-tôt : fenêtres fermées, clim et boules Quies, et vous n'entendrez plus rien.

Musique live le soir jusqu'à tard dans la nuit les jours de week-end alors si ce n'est pas votre truc séjourné en début de semaine quand c'est plus calme. Coup de coeur pour la le bat restaurant directement sur la mer, couchés de soleil magnifique. Bémol : internet seulement au rez-de-chaussée, impossible de capter le réseau dans les chambres.

Personal spricht allerdings nicht Französisch, Englisch und Deutsch, wie auf Expedia angegen. Sondern nur Französisch und der Chef Englisch.

-kein Transport vom Flughafen zum Hotel
-Bett war hart
-Frühstuck steht ungekühlt bei sehr hohen Sommertemperaturen, wenig Auswahl und immer gleich, Vögel gehen ständig auf's Essen drauf (unhygienisch), Buffet wurde manchmal schon vor 9 Uhr abgeräumt statt 9:30
-Innenausstattung des Hotels sehr alt
-der schwierigste Punkt für uns war dass wir nicht mehr ruhig schlafen konnten nachdem wir jeden Tag ab den ersten Tag bereits Kakerlaken im Zimmer hatten. Das Personal hat uns dagegen ein Spray gegeben (Problem wird also bekannt sein), aber mehr haben sie leider nicht gemacht.
-Die Zimmer sind hellhörig, besonders im Bad alle Gespräche durch Abzugsrohre zu hören
-Mitarbeiter sprechen wenig/kaum englisch
-Kein eigener Parkplatz wie versprochen, sondern öffentlicher Parkplatz in der Nähe
-wenn die 3 Strand-Liegen belegt sind, keine Chance mehr
-kein eigener Strand wie versprochen, sondern Liegen die auf einem Holzsteg sind was direkt am Meer liegt

Hôtel les pieds dans l'eau, au centre de Ste Anne, des commerces et des plages. Bar restaurant agréable. Très animé en soirée les veilles de fêtes et week-end. A éviter ces jours là pour les amateurs de calme. Opter pour une chambre confort vue mer : vue exceptionnelle sur le Diamant !

La Dunette hat eine superschöne Lage mit Steg direkt ins Meer. Dort kann man Essen, Trinken , Baden oder einfach nur sitzen und den Sonnenuntergang bewundern. Das Personal im Restaurant war sehr unterschiedlich motiviert. An der Bar war abends immer Stimmung und an drei von fünf Abenden war Life Music im Restaurant. Das Essen war lecker, aber nicht sensationell. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbüfett. Sehr zentral in Sainte Anne gelegen. Ca. 10 Minuten fußläufig der schöne Plage de la Pointe marin. Bis zur Anse des grande salines ca. 4 km. Kein Parkplatz direkt am Hotel, aber öffentliche Parkplätze in ca. 300 m Entfernung. Man braucht manchmal etwas Gelassenheit, um einen Parkplatz zu finden. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft.

Séjour globalement très agréable , car l'hôtel a une situation exceptionnelle, au centre ville, avec un beau deck sur la mer,le personnel est sympathique et les chambres sont sur mer avec balcon.
Mais le confort et le service ne sont pas à la hauteur de l'emplacement : support de douche cassé,(signalé mais jamais réparé), buffet du petit déjeuner aléatoirement garni, café à la machine infect, personnel souvent débordé, carte diner non renouvelée ( pas de plat du jour)….

C'est la honte de hôtellerie! Pas de savon, une climatisation H.S et pas de rideaux occultants. On se réveille avec le lever du jour! Mais surtout on dort avec la fin de la musique provenant du bar, restaurant et salle de concert le weekend.Les chambres sont juste au dessus et ne sont pas insonorisées. Fin de concert à 1 heure et lever avec les casseroles et mixeur très très tôt ! Les chambres ne sont pas terrible et pas equipees (frigo,coffee fort).De plus,c'est cher,on paye en fait la situation face à la mer très cher..a fuir...

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour
Très bon emplacement plage et commerces à proximité...cadre magnifique..buffet du petit déjeuner copieux..Beaucoup d animations en soirée qui permettent de passer d agréable s moments
.seul point négatif ..le confort des chambres qui pourrait être amélioré ( une seule chaîne de TV ..douche pas très pratique )

Très bon établissement que je recommande vivement.

Notre séjour s'est très bien passé et l'hôtel y est pour beaucoup.Nous avons été accueillies comme il se doit et le personnel est très agréable et professionnel.
Le cadre de cet hôtel est magnifique et les animations du wend sont très appreciables également. Seul petit bémol le Wi-Fi est accessible uniquement en bas.
Allez y sans hésiter.

2eme sejour parce que j aime l endroit avec vue splendite, acces imediat a l eau, au centre du village, animee, le place to be pour le coucher du soleil
avec tout ca il n y a pas deux a Sante Anne
