The hotel location is great! In the center of Reims! Very convenient! However the facility is not great! It was very cold when we were in Reims, we wanted to turn up aircon temperature to make room warmer but we’ve been told that it’s centrally controlled! Can not be changed! So we had to stay under duvet all the time to keep warm! It says 24 degrees in the room but it’s absolutely not true! We could feel it was a lot colder on New Year’s Day morning but the thermostat says 24 degrees forever! Again 24 degrees would be too warm for many people but they won’t be able to adjust it to make it comfortable to them! To be honest I’ve never stayed in a hotel where you can’t change room temperature!

The location and price are pretty much the reasons we went with this hotel option. It is right in the middle of the city, surrounded by lots of different shops and restaurants. If you need to take the train to/from Paris or to Epernay then this is a great location as well because the station is only a 7-10 min walk.
To get here from the airport you can do so by train or by Bolt (download the app ahead of time) no Ubers nearby in Reims and/or Epernay.

The rooms are tiny and very basic but it worked out well for us. (3 people per room) However, one of the 2 rooms we were assigned had no shower curtain or shower door and every time one would shower the entire bathroom would get soaked. The front desk people said they didn’t have anything to cover it but the other bathroom did have a panel that covered it so who knows! They weren’t very helpful but we really didn’t make a big deal out of it.
They did charge our card on file before we had actually arrived which I thought was weird because when we made the reservation we paid for the “pay upon arrival” pricing and when I asked the person in the lobby she said she didn’t know why. I was just planning on using a different card and well..that didn’t happen.
Overall, nice small hotel with great location.
We don’t recommend getting the breakfast package! There are tons of different restaurants to try nearby!

Overall, it was a nice stay, service was transactional which is fine, we don’t need a red carpet welcome. Rooms are clean, but are beginning to show signs of wear and tear, rooms are also a bit small, but overall comfortable. When choosing this hotel was worried about noise due to other reviews, but we didn't experience this. Would stay here again if necessary.

Ask for a room that is furthest from both streets. The neighborhood is lively (and noisy). The ceiling are paper thin and so we can hear people walking above and in corridors. Try to get a topmost unit to sleep quiet.

Adequate overnight stay.

It was ok, the staff were very helpful, as we were given the wrong room to begin with but the receptionist helped by finding a room which would suit us better. I booked two superior twin rooms online and paid in advance, unfortunately, we were given one twin and a small double. The hotel was fully booked but the receptionist found us a twin after a small wait.
We didn’t have breakfast so I cannot comment on this. It had a smell of cigarette smoke in our room even though it was a non smoking room.
For an overnight stay on our way home to the UK it was adequate and had convenient underground parking right by.

Easy access to train station

Average hotel in the center of things. Very easy to access from the train station. The breakfast was not the best in the world but fresh. I don’t think there is parking as it’s located on a pedestrian street, although there is a public parking garage under that street.

The rooms are not similar as advertised on the website, the beds are way smaller. The lightning is terrible, like hospital rooms, no plug for your phone charger next to the bed and it is very noisy, especially when other quest close the doors. I have mentioned my complaints to the front desk, but they couldn’t offer me a room that was aligned with the pictures in the site. I would definitely not recommend this hotel.

Hard to find, no parking

There was no way to drive to the hotel, it’s only accessible on foot. We were not informed of this or provided any instructions for parking. The website says they have English speaking staff, but they did not. We called 3 times during the 90 minutes + we were trying to find it, and the person at the desk could not help at all. Once we finally found the hotel, it was comfortable and a nice walkable location for one night in Riems.

The hotel is located close to the Reims centre train station. It was great if you are traveling by train. Very walkable location - great dining options. We arrived earlier, so we had to store our luggage at the hotel till the check in time at 3.
The room was smaller than we expected, but very clean. The shower stall was very small too.
Breakfast was very tasty.

Despite being listed as a full accessible property, this hotel is NOT wheelchair accessible.

There is a step into the front foyer, that we managed to navigate and hoped it would be the end of our problems, but upon checking in, the receptionist greeted us with ‘there is a problem, there is no lift’, despite it being listed on Expedia that there is.

Luckily, but also worryingly, she was able to promptly secure us a room in an accessible hotel across the street, but as the receptionist didn’t seem flustered by the situation at all, it suggests to me that it has happened before.
PLEASE UPDATE THIS HOTEL LISTING WITH THE CORRECT ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION!

Also, this hotel does not have or offer parking. There is a public car park very close by, but it cost us 17 euros for 12 hours, so again, not what is in the listing.

Welcoming reception staff, clean room and comfortable beds were all very nice. However our air con did not work and was constantly on hot which meant we had to turn it off. Breakfast bar was situated in over crowded narrow hallway making the experience quite unpleasant. There also was not much selection available. On our first morning we were not given cutlery and plates and even after asking for it we were not given the full set. On our second day when we saw how full the room was, we decided to get out out for our breakfast.

Could not stay as could not park anywhere as roof rack on roof of car so couldn’t get into the hotel car park ,or any other car park .rang the hotel for advice told a public car park 15 mins away .,looked at it but felt that wasn’t safe .Especialy booked The Best Western as it had a car park .furious and want money back .Had to spend the night in The Campanile outside Reims as safe parking .

Check in good with friendly receptionist. Comfy bed and slept well with surprisingly no noise from street before. Breakfast was good however the staff didn't engage or smile at all but looked grumpy. Door to our bedroom was difficult to open and close as it was swollen so stuck.

Powerful staff!

When we arrived there was no power for the rooms or key cards. Their seemed to be only one member of staff who was run ragged up and down stairs letting people into room as well as running reception. She took it all in her stride and was full of apologies. She deserves a pay rise and promotion for her efforts. We got power in the rooms later but still no key card. It didn't affect our stay. Location was great, room fine, staff excellent!

The only issue I had was the late night service. The hotel says it a 24/7 lobby but yet i had to wait for 10 mins to be let inside. I understand it was late night around 2 am. However, i shouldn't wait for 10 mins to be let inside as well their no english notification for late night service so definitely a language barrier

Disappointed with hard sell on parking

Disappointed with the hard sell for parking we were told we could not park a motorcycle outside as it was forbidden. I told her no one mentioned it the week before when I stayed and the previous 4 years. I later got confirmation from another local motorcyclist that there were no restrictions. When we got to the room we found the shower door was defective and the aircon was very weak. Overall it not a good stay. I will not return.

Overnight in Reims

This hotel is very conveniently located from the train station in the downtown lane with all the restaurants and 5 minutes away from the Reims Cathedral. Are you a good walker? Then 40 minutes to the Veuve Cliquot. We did not hear any noise from the street and breakfast was quite copious. The heating worked well. A slight problem with the shower drainage but it was in the morning we left. They kept our small luggage while we continued exploring. I would stay here again.

Cost/Benefit Ok but you only arrive by walking

The localization is good close to markets, mall, restaurants but is terrible to find the hotel, it is in a square where the cars cannot go, you can only reach the location by walking. if you have a lot of luggage, that was my case, you will have difficult time. The staff was basically speaking only French, no English and they were not very gentle. The room was good in space and comfort of the bed, there was available coffee but the shower was not having enough pressure and water.

Excellent location. We walked off the train and to the hotel in minutes. Close to many restaurants and you can walk further in either direction for more things to do. The hotel was clean, and well decorated. Small room but that was to be expected, and we weren't there to hang out in our room anyway, but rather to enjoy the city. The bedding and sheets felt great! Got there and there were no towels in the room at all. We called for them and got bath towels and that’s all. They sent up an extra box of tissues to dry our hands Room very small so we couldn’t keep our suitcases open. Shower small and with no curtain the bathroom floor got soaked. This property did not live up to expectations. The room was small; (which I know many European hotels are); there was no view at all; there was an odour from the pipes in the washroom; the seat was partly disconnected from the toilet (we advised staff of this issue 10 minutes after arriving and despite saying it would be fixed, it was not 45 hours later when we left.) The hallways are very dark, you have to wave your arms around for the sensor to activate the lights in the hallway.
The water pressure is very weak in the shower.
I realize this is not the most expensive property in Reims but this one left something to be desired.

Room was nice but extremely small. Location could not have been better. Near the train station, rental car return, and all the happening activities and restaurants. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

The hotel is very centrally located, with bars, restaurants and parking just outside.
The only problem we had was finding it. If we'd been told it was above the underground car park it would have saved us driving round the centre of Reims twice.

Great location, right in the city centre and loads of bars and restaurants. car park is not part of the hotel but is right next to the hotel and discounted by the hotel.

Terrible hotel in an excellent location.

A make-shift hotel in an old building. My room was simply horrible. It was probably an improvised storage room later furnished with a bed. Almost funny. The hotel DOES NOT have parking, but is right over the city’s covered parking lot. It’s location is excellent.

Disappointing experience from front desk

The service from the front desk at this hotel is disappointing. There is no parking offered by the hotel as advertised. Furthermore, the parking that you pay the hotel for “parking” is at the public parking area. We specifically asked if we could park and go out and return and was told that was possible, it was not. The level of frustration we had was worsened by the receptionist who implied we are the problem and that the ticket we bought from them did not exist. It escalated to a most disappointing experience with management intervention again noting that the problem was us. The room is comfortable, the cleaning staff were kind and this does not match the overall experience with the hotel which was soured by the negative experience.

The hotel was nice and the room was well designed to make the most of a small space. However, shortly after checking in, we were informed that there was no hot water. The staff had already transferred our reservation to another hotel across the street. Manan (sp?) was very helpful, and walked us across to the new hotel and made sure we got checked in. While I wasn't impressed with our new room, I applaud the Best Western staff for taking care of us so quickly.

The hotel is well placed, with a nearby underground public car park at a special rate. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a bit tricky to find the hotel entrance among all the restaurants, especially because the square is labelled Place d’Erlon and the address given on the web site says Place Drouet (it’s Place Drouet d’Erlon).
Our only problem was that it was noisy outside until the small hours of the morning. Even on the 4th floor the noise from the clubs penetrated to our room at the back of the hotel.

For a no frills spot to stay the night, this was ok. Glad we only had one night there. Very small rooms. Bed was very hard and pillows not comfortable. Breakfast was adequate, but super tiny, crowded space. Staff person who greeted us was very helpful and spoke English fluently.

A closet door was broken and they changed us to another room. There something else was wrong and we chose to ignore it. In general, poor condition. Also it required to drag suitcases thru the street since the location cannot be reached by car. I would choose another hotel.
