This is our first time in Zermatt. This is a very good choice for ski season. We even can saw the Matterhorn every morning breakfast time from the hotel. The service is good. Kind and helpful.

It’s a good, clean hotel with nice beds and healthy variety in breakfast. hotel is a little on the north side of the Centre which is helpful in making it noise free and peaceful. Free pick up and drop off from/to the station by booking is great and necessary as it’s a bit far from the station. Only downside is that the staff are not flexible with requests and we felt are too rigid with rules. Also no air conditioning but you can open the windows for cooler air during nights.

Wonderful breakfast! Rooms were nice, but one of the reasons we booked here with the higher prices was the spa. It was not very extensive and is open only limited hours, where it doesn’t leave you much time to get a bit to eat after check in, and then use the spa. Disappointed in the hours of the spa. Open until at least 9pm would be helpful

Our stay at Europe Hotel and Spa was beyond our expectations. All do the staff were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, always going out of their way to make sure our stay was great. The rooms were large, modern and comfortable and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bar area downstairs was also very cozy and the drinks were great!

New/renovated rooms and spa area. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Staff accommodating with train station transfer with mini car included. Restaurant on site was good value with changing daily menu and very good breakfast. Ski stations were 10-15 minutes walking distance but taxis and bus available.

The owner(Ruddy) on the premises daily and made sure to come and say hello and ask how your stay was going, and even upgraded my room at no added expense. Buffet breakfast was the best I have ever had and they have a complimentary shuttle to Tasch. Absolutely top shelve, I would highly recommended

This was the cutest little hotel! The room was spotless and the staff was so friendly. They even called us a taxi back to the train station (since we had to leave before the hotel shuttle started) and they paid for the taxi! We loved this hotel and had the most pleasant experience!

I couldn't be happier with Europe Hotel & Spa. First of all, the location was perfect for me. Just two blocks away from the main shopping street and the action - I prefer a more quiet location - but still in the middle of everything. There were restaurants and shopping just steps away from the hotel, but on a quieter street. The location was also halfway between the Gonergrat Rail and the Matterhorn Express gondolas - so just over all everything was in a convenient walking distance.
The room had a spectacular view of the Matterhorn with a nice sized deck to relax on. Again, the quieter location provided a beautiful, peaceful setting. The room itself was spacious and the design was very modern, yet cozy. For the very reasonable price I paid - I was very impressed.
The staff was friendly and helpful. From making appointments for a massage (great!) to the breakfast service (awesome big tasty selection) to tips around town.
I will certainly be back.

We stayed there with 2 kids. Staffs are warm and friendly, comfortable room and nice breakfast with nice view.

We left one kid’s pullover in the room and the staff immediately informed by email and suggested the way how to deliver. Although it seems like a little bit thing but showed they are caring which is out of our expectation.
I will definately recommended it to my friends.

What a view of the Matterhorn!

Charming room with a great little balcony that looks at the Matterhorn. The rooms might be a bit small, but they are quaint and the staff at the hotel are the real reward. The Staff are very friendly and extremely helpful in seeing that you have exactly the stay that you were expecting. Location is clsoe to everything in town and easy to walk anywhere.

Going here for a while - it's the best hotel I stayed at in Zermatt.
I especially enjoy the cosy common areas (bar & lounge) - quiet and classy and a warm atmosphere. The SPA is also excellent and relaxing.
Breakfast is generous and the dinners are excellent (very well balanced).
The area is quiet with nice views. There are some nice restaurants and pubs in close proximity, but Zermatt is compact and getting to any place is just a short walk anyway.

The rooms were wonderful and the hotel is in a great location. The staff were interesting. Not extremely helpful. They wanted you to dine with them nightly and pushed for that by sharing that we would be unlikely to eat at a restaurant elsewhere because it was to busy. For Christmas dinner they said all the resturantes in town closed. So we signed up for dinner. The main issue was is that they have no choices. Only one entree ect. Which I understand as it is a small hotel. But we had some dietary needs also. We had no problem getting into any restaurants to eat and on Christmas Day all the resturantes were open. The massage therapist was awesome though!!! The rooms were beautiful and a wonderful large tub!

Amazing hotel, we loved it! The room was very cozy and clean, the view from it was amazing as we had a clear view of the Matterhorn! We also enjoyed a lot the wellness area, it has various type of saunas and a big hot tub. The location is another great thing about this hotel, you'll find restaurants and bars nearby and if you walk 5 minutes you'll be in the main street of Zermatt. Last but not least, the service, I have only one word, magnificent, lovely and very friendly staff, they really made our stay very enjoyable.

We had a lovely stay at Europe Hotel and Spa. From our warm welcome at the train station to the front desk and not to mention the beautiful cozy room with a view! WOW! This hotel is fantastic! They don't miss a beat! They have thought of everything. The breakfast has a delightful selection of juices, infused waters, breads, fruits, cheeses, meats, and the list goes on! The rooms are so clean, modern, but cozy with a ski mountain lodge twist. They have a nice bar with friendly employees who we really enjoyed speaking with both nights of our stay and whom recommended a fantastic restaurant! They are truly a remarkable team and the only thing I would change is that I'd ask the family to make room for two more? My husband and I would love to come back for good. Honestly, very charming hotel with beautiful views, fantastic food, service, comfort, clean, early check in, turn down service.. I'm sure I'm missing things but we can't wait to go back!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 days and had such a great time. The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful with suggestions on restaurants and hiking. Felix, the bartender, was so awesome to talk with and so friendly. The owner is friendly and makes sure you’re having a good stay. Our room with a Matterhorn view was incredible. The cleaning staff was very nice as well. Overall, the hotel is beautifully designed and close to everything in Zermatt. We will definitely stay here again!

The hotel designer paid attention to the details. The hotel is very stylish and functional. My balcony had a beautiful view of fall tree line and the Matterhorn. Breakfast was very nice. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Pleasant holiday. Would love to go back! And the sheep decor is absolutely adorable and chic at the same time ! Very close to town ... easy walk to the train. They have a shuttle but the walk was beautiful, so in chose to get my steps in and fresh air.

My family and I spent one night at the Europe Hotel and Spa and I wish it could have been more! I was traveling with my one and a half year old son and the staff was welcoming and accommodations were perfect. They even had an activity bag in the room which helped us keep my son entertained through dinner and beyond. The views of the Matterhorn are breathtaking. I highly recommend this hotel!

we booked this online expecting a decent hotel; kinda nice but nothing special. We were very surprised and pleased at ever aspect of the hotel. Very good location, quiet part of Zermatt, yet close to restaurants and shops. Excellent included breakfast. The room was cute, with all required amenities. Robe, safe, slippers, hair dryer, large closet, wifi, TV (which we never used), comfortable bed, mini-bar, nice bathroom, patio deck OVERLOOKING THE MATTERHORN! Yes! We enjoyed late afternoons with a cocktail on this deck looking at the Matterhorn. Crazy. We ate dinner one night at the house restaurant out of convenience when it was raining, and were stunned at the fantastic quality of the food, service, presentation, and price. Fine dining. They have a large spa which we used after our long hikes - so soothing.
No hidden charges - everything was included. They even have a shuttle to and from the train station.

Nice hotel near major attractions

Staff was friendly, room very clean, spacious enough, quiet and comfortable - but no A/C (and it was very warm in Bern) in mid-July. A large fan was provided (I was on the top floor, 5th floor; elevators go only to the fourth floor), which made it comfortable at night with windows open (no screens, however). Restaurant was good, esp. nice to eat outside when it's warm. I have to note, however, that I was bitten repeatedly (six times) on my shoulder by something either inside the room or flew in with windows open - itchy, stinging which awakened me at 3 AM. I found nothing in the room the next morning. I mentioned it to the man at the hotel desk that morning as I was checking out but he brushed it off. A doctor in Zermatt, where I went that morning, couldn't determine what it was. A topical salve helped. I don't blame the hotel; these things can happen even in good places. Perhaps screens on the windows would cut down on such events.

The hotel was great for our small trip to Zermatt. The location is a little further away from the main train station, but like most hotels, they provide a shuttle service. This is a family-owned hotel and they cared about each guest's comfort by talking to us at the bar or in the restaurant.

Their dinner service was delicious and they had lots of very good options for the breakfast. The waitresses were also very attentive and courteous.

The rooms were very clean and modern. Since the hotel is a little further away from the main street, it was also quiet when we stayed.

We wouldn't hesitate coming here again if we come back to Zermatt.

I was so impressed with spacious room, extraordinary cleaness, turn down service with TOBLERONE chocolate. Shower quickly got hot.
However, I was slightly dissappointed that there is no kettle and tooth brush.

As for half board dinner, I tried twice during my stay and overall experience was not so bad. If I suggest something about dinner, I want to mention that taste was a bit too salty as a whole.

Stayed here for three nights in Zermatt. I was immediately impressed with how genuinely friendly, welcoming and helpful the staff was, and this pleasant treatment continued throughout my stay. The rooms were beautiful, clean and spacious, and well-appointed with modern furniture and very comfortable beds. Both the restaurant and bar were top notch with excellent service. The hotel also offers free high-quality wifi. I can't recommend this place enough.

Matterhorn almost in your room

Wow, this is not a five star technically but close to it. You are right in town and if you get a Matterhorn view you really get a direct look of the Matterhorn which is almost feels it's right in the room. Other hotels give you a side view but this hotel (if you get a Matterhorn view) is direct on!

All the little things

The hotel staff was excellent, patient, and very helpful. The little things they had already in the room (a child activity package, a child sized robe) made it an excellent and surprising experience for my family.

Breakfast buffet was of great selection and quality, hotel restaurant staff attentive and helpful.

Family run atmosphere was a fantastic touch. They really took care of us, would definitely recommend and return to.

Best experience of a lifetime!

Every moment of our visit at Europe Hotel & Spa was a delight. The accommodations are simple, modern, clean & luxurious all at once. Showers are fabulous, great pressure and instant hot water. Meals were gourmet treats and priced the same as local cafes. Views from our room were extraordinary! I will look back at our stay with gratitude as one of the best experiences of my life!

Very nice hotel.

This was one of our favorite hotels during our 2 week journey through Switzerland and Italy. If it had air conditioning it would be our top choice, but very close to it anyway. They suggested we leave the windows open at night while we slept but there were many bugs coming thru the windows so we could only have them slightly open, which didn't provide much breeze. Top quality rooms, facility, decor, breakfast and the extra European touches were greatly appreciated. The breakfast selection is extensive and very nice quality. Awesome selection of herbal, whole leaf teas. Lots of bread and cheese selections of good quality and taste. The spa pool, saunas and relaxation rooms were absolutely wonderful - best of all our hotels and much appreciated. The slippers, robes and sheep decor throughout room and hotel/bar were all very nice and had a lovely European feeling to them. The sheep shaped soap was totally awesome!! The hotel was close proximity to main street of shops/restaurants and Matterhorn view. A few staff members were a little less friendly and sincere than they could have been. The front desk and morning breakfast staff were all very good, the one bartender in the evening was condescending and a little rude and we were the only ones in the bar. Also, it would have been nice to know there was a free shuttle from the train station!

Extremely nice staff

The room was amazing with the view of the matterhorn. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. It is a bit far from the terminal, however they have their own electric car to pick you up and drop you off. I would definitely recommend for anyone that goes to zermatt to stay here

A MUST!!!!

The staff at the hotel were phenomenal. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip. They even went so far as to be sure that we had breakfast to take with us the day of our departure, as they knew we had an early morning train to catch. The spa was awesome...so relaxing and massage services were top notch!!!
