Good location walkable to centre. No parking at the hotel but there is a car park adjacent which is free overnight and picking up a disc from the hotel will give you several additional free hours. Breakfast was good, room was spacious and clean. Only downside was the bathroom which was shabby and the shower didn’t drain well. Overall good value and I would stay again.

Fantastic location! Not too many restaurants in the area but with the tram and bus stops steps from the hotel everything is easy to get to. Front door is locked at all times so dont forget the code. Breakfast buffet is great, ticks all the boxes and with lots of well-lit space to sit in. Rooms are a bit older but well kept.

Very nice.we were there for the Champagne half marathon and the start and finish was across the street. It is also short walk to restaurants, sites and champagne caves. Our only complaint was our room was small and no place to put things and our luggage

This is a basic hotel but everything is done well with efficient service from.the person on duty. Proper quadruple room (ie not a double bed and a double sofa bed). Room clean with clean linen. Nicely presented buffet breakfast with lots of choice. Plenty of parking nearby at low/no cost if you are clever but the hotel does not offer its own as I had understood when booking. Currently just outside Reims Low Emission Zone with easy access to main routes and station.

The hotel is like a nicer version of a hostel. Spartan rooms, old bathrooms with rust, no ramp for luggage from the outside. It felt like an IKEA room. That said, it is close to the city and very clean with nice staff.

Skiing stopover

This was an oversight stop over on the way back from skiing in the Alps. Although tricky to find on the SatNav as there is no drop off in front of the hotel, look out for the big public car adjacent and park first. The hotel is really well located within walking distance of the city centre with its restaurants and shops. Bilingual front desk staff were very helpful with advice after our late arrival and parking is free in the public car park at the weekends.
The hotel rooms were basic, but clean with comfortable beds and sufficient towels for our four guests. We did not have breakfast in the hotel as the city centre eateries are a short walk through the Central Park, although be aware McDonald’s goes not have the same breakfast range as in the UK, so no hash browns!
There is a handy champagne house right beside the hotel which offers tastings and shop and was open at 11am on Sunday morning…

No problem except internet issue.

The internet would not work in my room for the 2 days I was there. They gave me free breakfast on my last day to compensate. It worked in the d suprisingly that morning. I was meeting with a group of people staying at another hotel and the lack of internet made communication impossible and inconvenient. It apparently was only an issue for my room. Other than that the hotel was fine, good value and a good location.

Reasonable stay!

Twin room only equipped for 1 person (apart from 2 beds) Facility for making one cup of coffee, one cup of tea only. No milk. Only one large towel in bathroom, one shower gel/shampoo. Free mini bar (as advertised) was empty. Unable to control air conditioning, unable to open window as it opened out onto fire escape. Stale smell in room. Telephone positioned above bed so handset kept falling off when trying to sit up and read/watch TV. Tiny TV positioned very high up on wall. Bed comfortable and bed linen clean. Only a one night stopover so adequate. Receptionists efficient.

What we wanted

Comfy bed, warm shower and good wifi basically all I could ask for in a hotel. Plus close to the train station, museum of the surrender and 15 minute walk to the cathedral. Lady at reception was extremely friendly.

Overnight stay. Passing thru Reims and needed to stay by the central train station. Hotel is a five mintue walk from the station, and 10-15 min from the cathedral downtown, so quite convenient. Room clean but small, breakfast standard French breakfast fare but perfectly fine. Overall a very good value!

Great location for a 1 night stay!

The hotel is dated, but it's exactly what we needed for a 1 night stay! It's close to town, directly next to a winery and a short 5-10 minute walk into the centre of town. The receptionist who checked us in and out was super friendly and gave us a ton of tips for restaurants, champagne houses and bars! Would stay here again for sure.

Great location...big room!

This hotel is very close to the train station which is something I look for when traveling because I always have way to much luggage! I was on the 3rd floor...room 306...large room and a bathtub that was long enough for me to sit in! Air condition was able to be controlled in room which was nice but I could not find an English speaking channel on the tv. Within walking distance of all the major must sees and dos.

Staff is excellent, friendly, and very helpful

We stayed here in the middle of a July heat wave, and thanks to a listing error on hotels.com, were booked into one of only 4 rooms without AC. The excellent staff was thankfully able to juggle the booking (not easy, again thanks to hotels.com) and our stay was very pleasant in the end. Relatively easy walk to the train station, but the location was not as convenient for everything else we wanted to do. Limited restaurant choices in the immediate area, and hotel is at the edge of a rather sketchy-looking neighbourhood. (If any nice establishments were there, we didn't find them before turning around.) No complaints about the hotel itself, and we'd stay there again - but first we'd see what's available in a more central location. An unexpected bonus of the location - our room had an amazing view of the Independence Day/Bastille Day fireworks!

Good Hotel Option in Reims

Day and evening staff were very friendly and helpful. Both spoke English and were happy to give recommendations for restaurants and activities. The hotel is clean and basic. Free wifi was a nice touch. TV only has French lanuage programming as to be expected. You can add a basic breakfast for €12.50. There is a supermarket and ATM approx. three blocks from the hotel and its very close to the train station (easy walking distance). The center of the city with restaurants and bars are also easy to reach on foot.

This hotel was great! The location, the people who run it and most importantly the rooms...Clean and comfortable. The corner it is located on is a bit busy but we didn't notice any noise at night. The people who work in the hotel gave us so much valuable information including where to get the best price on champagne and the final light show at the cathedral. Priceless!

Reims brilliant for a long weekend !

Good location at a good price just 5 mins walk in to the center !
Mumm champagne is 2 mins from the hotel and really worth a visit.
Go and have a meal at the Flo restaurant it top quality rated No.1 in Reims
If you take your car make sure you pre book the locked garages the hotel has the car and its contents are safe for 10 euros a day well worth it !
Hotel could do with a paint on the outside but the inside is good.
Overall its a middle of the road hotel at a reasonable price if you want quality stay in the Best Western but the price is double

I was pleased with the hotel and the receptionist was very helpful. I was however disapointed in that I booked the hotel with a Debit card and paid when I left with the same card. 16 days later the deposit is still blocked on my debit card and I am therefore unable to use this money! If I had booked for several days this very bad policy could spoil a holiday if several hundred pounds was withheld.

We were given an aufwell room at first then given a better room.
The room we were then given was great over all it was a very good hotel the lady who was on duty when we arrived was the best her english was very good and her advise and helpfulness made us very relax.
Parking not good but ask for the lock up parking.

Hotel Porte mars close to champagne tours

We liked everything about the hotel Porte mars, the staff were very friendly and absolutely the most helpful people. Sarah, the blonde haired lady at reception and the lovely Italian receptionist, with dark hair, are a true credit to this hotel. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel for its staff,cleanliness,comfort and location.

Nice and confortable place

I spent a single night in this hotel and I had a good time. My room was neat and spacious with a large bed and a nice bathroom.
Unfortunately no closet in the room but you can survive it. I had a single room on the first floor. Reims downtown is a short and nice walk from the hotel.

The public parking advertised is an open one nearby with no security.
The nearest secured parking is 1/4 of a mile from the hotel.
The hotel is on a very busy avenue and roundabout, behind the train station. Not a nice area.

Ideal location

We have used this hotel twice this year as a first night stop over after traveling through the Channel Tunnel. Reims is 3 hours from the Tunnel and an interesting place in its own right - and the Porte Mars is ideally situated for exploration of the old parts of the city and the cathedral. The hotel is easy to access from the motorway if you are driving south through the champagne region or east to Alsace or the Jura.
The hotel itself is very welcoming and can't be faulted for its cleanliness and offers a breakfast at reasonable value.

Porte Mars is close (walking distance to all the attractions of Reims. When leaving the Hotel turn right and walk towards the station then left an you are in the Cafe life part of the city. With the Cathedral a short distance away. Mumm champagne is even closer. Walk straight ahead when leaving the Hotel and Mumm is about 5 minutes away. Cazenove champagne is next door!

When I arrived to the hotel \"Porte Mars\" late on a Monday afternoon after a 5 hour drive from Germany, I was warmly greeted by a very friendly and multi-lingual receptionist. The hotel is located near a roundabout and is very easy to find. Since it was peak traffic hour when I arrived, I was concerned that parking might be problematic. It was not. I was immediately told where to park my car. The lot is located across the steet and is free for hotel guests. When I arrived, my room was ready for me and, since I had reserved the room through expedia, check in was easy. The room was very clean and well equiped. After leaving my things in the room, I went back down and the receptionist told me how to get to the places I wanted to visit, namely the area around the magnificent Reims Cathedral. Breakfast is available for an additional modest fee. I was very happy with my stay at Parte Mars and if every back in Reims, would gladly stay there again. Recommended!

Hidden away hotel

This hotel was a great find for us.

Easy to find, the parking was over the road but free and easy to access. The hotel is situated a pleasant 8-10 minute walk from the main pedestrian area and this will be even easier when the tram starts to run in April 2011 as there is a tram right outside straight into the city centre. The covered market is right next door too which you might get lucky enough to catch.

The hotel is old, but well maintained - if a little 'french' in decor. Someone has an eye for 'cool' artwork which is everywhere and the family room we had was large, modern and comfy with all mod cons ( air con, bar, tea/coffee, extra towels/blankets,pillows etc) As was the entire hotel, it was immaculate and had everything on offer you could want, including a bar/salon, papers, music, and lots of information at the front desk.

Breakfast was generous and we were not charged for the children to eat. Fresh bread and croissants were on offer as well as cereals, cheeses, meats, yogurts, fruits and every kind of drink.

The patron was very kind and friendly, and we had a very pleasant and comfortable stay.

My only red flag for anyone who is a nervous traveller or travelling alone, with children or those easily offended, is that the hotel is right in the heart of a red light area, which might mean a few associated undesirables hanging about late at night, however we didn't feel threatened by this and were only aware because we arrived very late at night to a hotel just around the corner the previous week!!

Hôtel simple et basique
idéalement situé est a proximité du zénith et de petit commerce pour se restaurer
Quelque petit détails pourrait être amélioré ( changez les rideaux trouées, faire attention au drap qu’il ne soit pas tachées)
Petit bémol le parking ainsi que l’accès au chambre il est marquée ascenseur mais nous nous sommes retrouvés dans une aile annexe avec un escalier super étroit qui peut vite devenir dangereux avec des valise ou des enfants en bas âges sachant que l’annexe avait l’air de comporter les chambres familiales puisque c’est ce que nous avions une chambre 4 personnes.
Concernant le parking l’hôtel ne dispose pas de parking personnels mais on peut stationner au alentours puisqu’il y a un grand parking beaucoup fréquenté (donc peu de place libre) avec un système de disque de stationnement ( 5h de gratuit sur certaines plage horaire) ou un parking payant a 5 minute a pieds de l’hôtel.

Séjour très agréable avec un accueil à l’hôtel impeccable ainsi qu’un buffet au petit déjeuner copieux et délicieux. J’ai beaucoup apprécié l’environnement concernant la salle du petit déjeuner ainsi que la possibilité de se détendre dans un canapé juste à côté. J’ai aussi remarqué des jeux de société mis à disposition si vous avez des enfants (très bonne idée). La chambre malgré qu’elle ne soit pas très grande est malgré tout très confortable. Bref je reviendrai et je conseille cet hôtel car le rapport qualité prix est très correct.

スタッフは親切で、このような小さなホテルとしては設備も悪くありません。

Hotel bien placé, central.
Notre chambre donnait sur la rue, un axe très passant, mais nous n'avons pas du tout été dérangés par les voitures, l'isolation était bonne.
La chambre mériterait plusieurs améliorations (tables de chevet un peu bancales, trou dans la porte, sdb un peu vieillote), une chaise dans la chambre serait souhaitable.
Le petit déjeuner était quant à lui très bon.

ちょっと狭いですがエレベーターもあります。
ホテルのすぐそばに5時間無料の駐車場（使用していませんがおそらくホテル宿泊者でなくても5時間無料と思います）、駅のすぐ近くに24時間13€しない駐車場があります。車のアクセスも良好でした。
バスタブなしのシャワーのみ。アメニティはシャンプー兼ボディーソープと固形石鹸、ハンドソープのみです。

A notre arrivée on nous annonce un petit déjeuner à 8 euros, on l'accepte donc, mais au final on nous le facture 10,90 euros chacun.
Obligés de demander le lendemain le remboursement à l'accueil ...
