If you pay attention to the hotel’s driving instructions, everything else will be 5 star. All of the staff is very accommodating to your every need. Beautiful hotel located in historic walking district of Siena. 5 star historic hotel with bar & lounge area for coffee, drinks, lunch, dinner, upscale restaurant. Great breakfast buffet or a la carte options. Food & wine were excellent. Large spacious rooms with great Air Cond (it was in the 90’s). Comfortable beds, pillow options. Stayed 5 days 2 different rooms-had a last minute travel change.

It’s worth bearing in mind that the rooms overlooking the street are a bit noisy from people passing by below (not the hotel’s fault) so I recommend earplugs for light sleepers.

For a 5 star hotel I have to admit that the rooms are quite dated. It's like a time capsule, with old fashioned furnishings from the 1960's.....

The reason for the 2 star review was the noise. We had a room which adjoined a piazza, room and view were magnificent but the noise level was intolerable. I’m by no means unaccustomed to noise as I live and work in NYC but this was to an entirely different level. People were out and screaming, playing music until 5 am. We literally got 2 hours of fitful sleep. Another word of advice, don’t attempt to drive there . Very difficult to get find.
