We absolutely loved our stay at the Piccolo Hotel in Paso Robles and will definitely return. Our room was lovely—spacious, modern, impeccably clean, and very comfortable. The entire hotel has a fresh, stylish feel that made it a pleasure to come back to after a day of wine tasting.
The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming throughout our stay. We also appreciated the thoughtful complimentary touches, including breakfast items available downstairs in the lobby each morning and a complimentary glass of wine offered in the afternoon—such a charming Paso touch.
The location is perfect, within easy walking distance of several great restaurants and tasting rooms in downtown Paso Robles. We also found ample free street parking right outside the front door, which made coming and going effortless.

Only negative which isn’t a big deal, ice machine only on 4th floor and I don’t really like rain shower heads in the shower, but that is not a big deal. Loved that the floors are all hardwood, even in halls, no carpet anywhere! Super clean.

My 2nd stay and won’t be the last!! I checked in with my small dog and was very warmly greeted. They had a pet gift for her, gave us a 1st floor room with sliding glass door right next to the lobby. The breakfast was an elevated continental and the entire staff was wonderful and very friendly. The decor is great with a small chandelier and an exposed brick wall behind the rod iron bed.

The Piccolo Hotel canceled my reservation due to overbooking with less than one week notice after I had made reservation over a month in advance. Completely disappointed as it was our anniversary weekend trip. Will never stay or recommend this hotel or sister hotel (Paso Robles Inn) as management gave my room after admiring it happened to ten other guests.

Positive: the hotel is located within walking distance of the Paso Robles town square. Lots of fun shops and restaurants near-by. There is not only a lot of convenient street but also valet parking available.
Negative: The hotel, while modern and clean seemed overpriced for the level of amenities and service. The room was appointed with a Keurig coffee machine, which was fine, but then only powdered creamer was provided. The breakfast featured several artisan-style entries that seemed skimpy and not freshly prepared. However, the yogurt and fresh fruit were delicious. Coffee was also tasty. The dining area was small, with few tables to sit at.
Overall, I do not think that we would choose to stay here again.

You can do way better for $550/ a night
The hotel was cute from the outside but checkin was a disaster, there was hair from previous guest in our shower and bathroom that hadn’t been cleaned, it was extremely noisy - you could hear someone sneeze outside, and worse, every time someone opened or closed a door we’d wake up at night. Last, couldn’t get the temperature in the room to cool down - we continued to set to 67 only to have it revert to 70. It was so hot and dry.

Loved the reusable aluminum water bottles, but found them difficult to open. Only other thing we noticed was quality of paper products (TP & tissues) were a bit rough.
Rooftop bar is pretty chill, but when we tried to eat dinner up there, they weren't serving food due to staffing issues. This forced us to go next door to their sister property, Paso Robles Inn, where we had a horrible meal.

This hotel checks all the boxes. Clearly designed and staffed with the intention of making visits to Paso Robles special and carefree. The property feels brand new and has lots of space for lounging. Rooftop bar offers gorgeous views of the surprisingly green and well-kept city. Outdoor courtyard was spacious and green (beautiful mural) and a great place to take a few work call.

The check-in process was very easy, and the staff was friendly and pleasant throughout. The rooms were very clean, the common areas were also clean. The bed was comfortable, the room is spacious. The odd thing was, the door of the room opened outward; rather than into the room. Not a big deal at all, just different. The breakfast that is offered had variety and was a nice continental breakfast. The wine tasting was a nice touch, considering the town. The location is walking distance to a lot of restaurants, which was nice. Considering it’s in the downtown area, you don’t get that quiet a country location would offer. AMAZING!!! This property is absolutely amazing. From the minute we walked in we were blown away with the hospitality and service. The personal recommendations for all activities made us feel so special and truly valued. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a first floor room with a patio right out the door. The upstairs bar was not serving on the Monday we were there, but the downstairs has a full bar as well. We took our drinks upstairs and enjoyed the street view of Paso. Delightful! We had a complimentary wine tasting in the lobby as well. Breakfast was not just coffee and pastries, they also had several choices of quiche, avocado toast bites as well as fruit and yogurt. Thank you Piccolo for making our visit AMAZING!!

We had an amazing stay from the beginning. We were created at the door by a very friendly young man to park our car. Annabel at the front desk was very friendly while we checked into the hotel. She went over all the amenities the hotel provided. She made sure we had brown butter cookies in our room with a welcome note. They had a wonderful happy hour as part of our amenities. The breakfast in the morning was yummy. Overall, we will be going back to visit another time.
