Booked 2 nonsmoking rooms- both smelled of cigarette smoke upon entering. Rooms were large, quiet, & had comfortable, but very high beds. a/c thermostat was installed above my head & I'm 5'6\"! Walk in shower had a shower pan meant for a glass sliding door type enclosure, but instead, had a shower curtain that was not only too short, but was installed so it hung outside the shower pan so there was no way to keep shower floor from getting soaked- even with a bunch of towels. Great, central location. Newish & not horrible, but lots of room for improvement!

This hotel has plenty of parking, the rooms are very big , clean and it has everything you need. It is not only walking distance to a nearby 7-Eleven.l, you can also walk to the amazing downtown area with lots of restaurants and bars . This hotel does not give you an upscale , fancy vibe, but it is practical and quiet and a really great value for your money and I would stay there again.

Door on balcony did not shut, let alone lock. Our smoke detector was covered with plastic. Definitely would not have detected smoke. Additionally, the security locks on the doors leading to the elevator were taped to keep them open. When checking out, I tried to bring these issues up to the manager only to be told I didn’t know how to close a door correctly. An insult to my intelligence as a woman I guess. I walked away and my husband explained the rest of the issues and why we won’t be coming back.

Tl;dr - manager loves to throw their employees under the bus and lie about what amenities rooms have so that you overpay for what you get.

My wife and I reserved a room with a king-sized bed. When we arrived, the only person at the front desk was a kid who was working his first week at this job and obviously panicked. Manager/owner/supervisor was nowhere to be found. No shade on the kid. He did a great job for the situation management left him in, but management has to understand how incredibly unprofessional that is for them to do and how incredibly unfair it is to both their employee and their customers.

We get a room and…it has a queen-sized bed. Now, I’m not, in principle upset about the bed size. Things happen, mistakes get made. Once the manager returns I go and talk to him. I figured we’d either get moved to a room we paid for, or at least have our bill reduced to reflect the room we got.

Instead I hit the magic third option, “I’ve been in the hospitality business for decades and by California law that is a king-sized bed.” And…that’s just a lie (the king-sized bed bit, no idea how long the dude has worked in motels).

This is a well located property, easy walk or drive form 24th St to the center of downtown at Centennial Park at 12th St. It is newly built but not very upscale construction. For example the shower curtain fell repeatedly because it was held up by a pressure pole only. But certainly adequate for an overnight in Paso.

Rooms were dirty- garbage can hadn’t even been taken out from previous customers- moldy strawberries in the garbage. Also rug was dirty and clearly hadn’t been vacuumed. This was all after we were moved to king size room which we booked but were instead given a queen room until we pointed out that we were given the wrong room. Also keys stopped working- when we returned in the evening we couldn’t get into our room and luckily it was before 10pm when there is nobody at the front desk. Not sure what we would have done had we returned after 10pm… I definitely would not stay here again unless they improve.

The property is centrally located. However to my taste the room was unusually small and very dated. We were particularly concerned about the cleanliness of the room…obvious stains on furnishings, hairs on commode and sink area, bathtub looked unclean. Carpeting looked very old and unclean. The room was very dark. We slept in our clothes and above the covers because we were concerned about cleanliness. The gentleman named Norman was incredibly nice and very affable. He was the high point. Would not stay at this property again (it was our first time),

Everything was great until I opened the fridge and it wasn't even cold. We had just drove 5 hours and were relying on the refrigerator that was listed as one if the amenities. Upon calling the front desk, we were told there is an adjustment dial on the back of fridge. Okay cool, saving energy, makes sense. However the fridge never got cold after adjusting, and when checking out I was questioned why I didn't say anything else about it still not getting cold. Maybe because it was the middle of the night and didn't want to move rooms that late with my toddler and tons of stuff by myself. Super disappointed and now out $50 worth of food which as a single parent, is a lot.

Stayed two nights. Very comfortable room and easy parking. Close drive to downtown. Housekeeping was good but the 1st day they left our pile of used towels inside our room by the door! It would help if they took care of some minor issues that were noticable on a regular basis, like scratches on the wall from chairs...easy to just touch up, stain on a curtain and one threadbare washcloth with holes worn through. However nothing that would keep us from staying again.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel just outside of the downtown area of Paso Robles. I was looking for a quick stop just off the highway and for the price this was very good. I read bad reviews which none of which came true! They must have listened and fixed them all. Instantly got a free upgrade by the friendly man behind the desk. Easy, free parking. Large, large room. Big king bed (I’m 5ft 8 and had to make a hearty leap to get on and off of it!!). Super comfy bed. Slept like a log. Nice pillows, none were hard. I found mine to be perfect and I struggle with pillows in hotels. Nice bathroom with essentials, black out curtains. Everywhere clean and nice. There was a strange cleaning odor, but it is what it is and you soon got used to it. I loved being a 5 minute drive to downtown where I’m sure would be much more expensive. Would definitely recommend and use this hotel again if I need a stop along 101.

The main reason for choosing this hotel though was that they said there were EV chargers, which there were, but none of them worked.
We did find other chargers in the Bank of America lot, but my husband had to wait for one to free up, then walk back to the hotel.
It is misleading to say that this hotel is downtown.
This lead me to believe we could walk to restaurants comfortably. In the cold and rain, the walk was a little too far.

We last stayed here a number of years ago when the Siri was relatively new, and it is still in excellent condition. Room was very clean, bed super comfortable, bathroom and shower were even roomy. And for those who like a walk, the location is a very pleasant 12-block stroll to the town square, helping you work off the calories you will inevitably consume once you're there!

The only slight minuses were no bathmat, a couple of washcloths were slightly stained (although clean), and there was no spare toilet roll, which we discovered late at night and couldn't procure because there was no answer at the '24-hour' reception.

Desk and housekeeping staff were very helpful and friendly though, and we eill definitely be staying with them again!
