The room was spotless even for a pet friendly room. Staff was great - the breakfast was spectacular and the bar was good. We came in late so hard to comment on the free appetizers. Love the grounds- the firepit- pool were exceptional.

Very attentive welcoming staff, including the house cleaners. Happy Hour included in price of stay runs from 5:30 to 7:30 pm with full bar, 1 drink and appetizer plate. Michael the bartender/waiter was excellent. Ordered smash burgers, salmon dish, house salads, all wonderful!

Breakfast bar was excellent, waffles, eggs, sausage etc. Included in price, $15.00 if want a fresh made to order omlette. Little pricey for that, but available.

Rooms and property clean inside and outside. Nice relaxing pool area and an outside sitting area behind the hotel complete with gas firepit, piped in music with chairs.

Rooms have microwaves, larger mini fridge with relatively large freezer space, black out curtains and everything is relatively new.

The only bummer is the Direct Only TV, we tried to figure it out first night and gave up. Morning gave it a second try. Would be helpful to have a little stand with simple operational instructions, ie. Red button on, hit 3, then ok button to get guide, standard def. horrible....wish we could put in our own Netflix etc. Never could figure out how. Will bring own streaming device next time.

This was our second stay and will book several rooms this December for our entire family.

One thing to know is that there isn't a small market or convenience store on-site where you can grab snacks or basic groceries for your room. If you're traveling with kids, I'd definitely recommend stopping at a grocery store beforehand to stock up.

We ended up ordering basics like milk from the bar, which was expensive. They also provide Path water bottles in the room. We assumed they were complimentary since they're refillable, but we later found out they were $10 per bottle.

As for breakfast, the hot buffet is a decent value. However, if you order an omelet or fresh eggs, it's an additional $15, and they still use the same watered-down egg mixture as the buffet, so we didn't think it was worth the extra cost.

Solid breakfast to start the day off right. Considering the price, the overall experience exceeded my expectations and offered outstanding value. I would absolutely stay here again.

I stay at this property 6-8 times a year and the staff there is always helpful, informative, and friendly.

I normally book a corner suite to have some extra space to relax or do some work.

The main issue I have with some of the corner suites that face North (I stayed in RM 229) are the lamp posts that reach up to between the 2nd and 3rd floors. These street lights never turn off and even with regular curtains and black out shades, the light shines directly into the corner suites on that side.

It’s like trying to sleep in a tanning bed. I forgot to request one on the other side and they were very busy with people traveling and staying for the World Cup matches in CA.

Other than that, my stays are always very nice.

Wonderful convenient little hotel. The front desk staff was very nice. The room was spacious and worked really well for us and our two kids 13 and 11. The pool was really nice and we enjoyed it for the one night that we were there.
The only experience we did not enjoy was the afternoon happy hours/snack that the hotel provides. People rushed down in hoards and began to compete for who would get their free pretzel bites first. We ended up not staying once we saw what mayhem that was an opted to go into town for a nice dinner. Parking was super easy and the hotel overall is still conveniently mapped out. The breakfast in the morning was amazing and plentiful and free and included. Overall, a really great stay.

This is an average hotel. They do have free breakfast and a shuttle for in town (5 mile radius). The breakfast was good. The shuttle idea is great, but if you want a pickup to go back to the hotel after dinner in town it takes 4-5 phone calls to the front desk before they answer and then it’s about a hour before the shuttle can come get you. The front desk was very friendly and helpful at check in, not so much for the rest of the stay. Service is spotty. I guess you only get one room touch up for a 3 day stay and then they completely missed us on our day for it. Rooms and bathrooms are dark. So overall, just an average place to stay.

Very clean property in a good location. Pricey but that’s Paso Robles for you. The pillows were a bit disappointing. Would have loved more water pressure. But the staff was great. I expect very little out of a complimentary breakfast. But I was more than pleasantly surprised. Lots of options and great quality.

Clean, good location, dog friendly! Only thing we didn’t like was we purposely did not opt for cleaning our room and left the do not disturb as we were only there Friday-Sunday. I get a call/voicemail as we’re out for the day at the winery there’s an emergency and they need to enter our room for a possible leak. Understand things happen but wasn’t ideal as we had no plans for anyone to enter so we left all our belongings out. Other than that it was good! Oh also you get a drink ticket valid until 7:30pm but it doesn’t state time frame. We tried to get a drink lunch time but the front desk staff said it’s 5:30-7:30pm only. All it said on drink ticket was valid until 7:30.

Check in was 4pm, the room wasn’t ready. The room was clean, good amenities (fridge, microwave, coffee). It was loud, you can hear the people upstairs, doors closing, hallway noise and the AC unit rattled enough to wake us each time it turned on. Pet friendly which was great. Slow, slow elevators. Free drink ticket and basic breakfast were good. Some good, some bad so my rating is ‘okay.’

The room we had was large and well laid out. We found it quiet as well. The breakfast that is included is too simple so we went elsewhere after the first night. The free cocktail was very nice even though the complementary appetizers were generally not very good. The shower in the bathroom is very, very small. I enjoyed the free parking and large parking lot. The hotel is far enough from the real downtown area that we had to drive every day to get into town for dinner. Overall, a good place to stay, great price, and nice lodging.

We arrived an hour before check-in & our room wasn’t ready. A nearby clerk immediately jumped in to reassign a room so we didn’t have to wait - proactive & greatly appreciated after a long drive.

This was our second stay at the Oxford. Staff is friendly & helpful. Rooms are clean & well appointed. Plenty of parking. Complimentary breakfast & evening wine is a lovely perk. Pool & hot tub a bonus!

The hotel is updated and I like that parking was free. The room was clean and spacious. All staff were very friendly.
I did not like that they wanted to charge me for an early check in, I know some hotels do and some don’t, but literally I can’t get in till 4 and have to be out by 11 the next day. Allso the room was noisy lots of noise from the room above us( think elephant brigade).
I would stay again but would want a top floor room so that I wouldn’t have the noise.

I booked the Oxford suites for a night stay with my best friend while we were wine tasting! The room was clean and the beds were perfectly comfortable. They offer a shuttle service to and from downtown which saved us the uber expenses, the breakfast buffet offered solid options (eggs, potatoes, sausage, gravy, cereal, waffles, etc) and the jacuzzi allowed us to relax before getting ready for the night!
This is a really a great place to stay and we'll definitely be back!

We have stayed at the Ava prior to the Oxford visit. found this location more accommodating, not to mention the better cost. What we got at the Oxford when checked in......one free cocktail of choice, free breakfast that was very good, Free ride to our dinner spot and winery with a pick up. Clean room and building. With a pleasant staff. and a good nights rest. What we got at the AVA.........non of the above. We will be back and have already referred friends and family.

Great amenities, comfortable room with a nice couch to relax in and a very comfortable mattress. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the appetizer and happy hour drink every evening. The hot breakfast was very good too. Really liked the kitchen sink, fridge and other kitchen amenities in the room. The bathroom had both a shower and a spacious tub. The shower itself was a tight fit (no elbow room), and could not change the shower head angle, which could have helped tremendously since the shower head was placed so high up on the shower wall. It would have been a better use of space if, instead of a tub, they had installed a more spacious walk-in shower. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Had a horrible stay for Mother’s Day weekend. I’ll start with the positives to be fair. The hotel was clean and the staff (cleaning staff, bartender, and kitchen staff) were all very kind and courteous.
However on the 2nd night we were there, there was a very loud party going on in one of the rooms. Loud music, yelling, things being dropped, it was outrageous. The loud party started about midnight. We tried to sleep through it but it just kept getting louder, it seemed like more people were arriving. We called the front desk to report it. They said they would go talk to the people. We heard the room quiet down for maybe 2 minutes, then it got even louder. More yelling, more things being dropped, dancing, louder music. We called the front desk again after an hour. I believe the music finally went off around 3:30am. Unacceptable. Terrible. Sad. 3 hours of unbearable, unpleasant music and noise. We really should have asked for our money back.
Lastly, we can’t be certain but we’re concerned the room might have had bed bugs because our entire family has some type of rash within a few hours of leaving. We will not be staying here again.

Overall, the hotel was nice. Our room looked recently renovated. It was large, nicely decorated and comfortable. Zero hallway noise. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. Staff was friendly and accommodating Cons: 1 elevator for this size property is not good. The wait was too long. The coffe at breakfast was not drinkable. Had the consistency of dirty water. There is a Starbucks nearby that my husband went to every morning.
