The staff was very nice at check-in. When getting into the room, the hallways were dim, unclean, and loud music was playing that you could hear throughout the hallway once inside the room there was urine in the toilet. The floors were dirty. The bed was not made, and the lamp shade was broken when attempting to call the front desk about these conditions the phone didn’t work as well.

The hotel needs an update especially the hallways but more importantly everything on the bed needs to be washed. The bed skirt had white stains, the soap dish in the shower looked like they painted over mold, the tv kept flickering going out, they didn’t have the complimentary hand soap, the iron board was broke, and the beds were super small. The cleaning lady was nice but I will never go back.

The room was dingy, dirty, had poor lighting, and had roaches. I checked out Sunday Morning. Will Not Stay There Again and Will Not Recommend it to Anyone. I didn’t see the roaches until Sunday Morning. Have stayed here on previous occasions in the past so I was Surprised at how bad it was. On a scale of 0 to 10 with 0 being the worse and 10 being Excellent. I would give it -25.

The buildings in close proximity were boarded up. The blinds that you could see from the outside were falling apart. The entryway was fine, and that’s make you think maybe it’s just the outside. Then you get on the elevator and the carpet is dirty and not vacuumed.

We felt that our interaction with the staff was good. The first floor room was unpleasant. The floor was very hard and not clean. The rolling chair had a broken roller. The shower curtain was not adequate to keep the water in the shower. We don’t plan to stay there again.

The property is worse hotel ever. Firstly they lied to me. I booked for twin room they end up given me just one room with very small bed 2 bed. The toilet is very dirty we couldn't use it. The environment was extremely dirty to the level i was looking for another hotel to rent that night to sleep with my family. It was a very terrible experience. I was meant to spend two night for my vacations with my family, we needed up spent one night and went back home.

They mess up over vacation.

Black mold in the bathroom and when I told the hotel, they told me to “cover it with the mat”. Super unacceptable. Checked in for 30 min and checked right out. The hotel was unclean and smelled bad as well.

If you have a choice to stay here or stay in your car, stay in your car. The staff has the worst attitude. The carpet in the hallway is disgusting. They didn't clean the room, didn't refresh towels and then got an attitude when we asked for new towels. And they own the Comfort Inn right beside the Sleep Inn so don't stay there either. The floors in the room is the dirtiest I have ever seen. The beds are comfortable tho, after u empty a whole can of Lysol on them. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Booked a room with two beds, upon checking in the person in the front desk wanted to give me a room with a king size bed I told him that would not work for me and I needed the two beds. He was finally able to get me the room with two beds I needed. The entire facility is filthy, gross and unsanitary. The waiting area has old and filthy chairs, the carpet in the entire 3rd floor is old and stained. The bathroom in our room was stained, and the toilet had a water leak. The valance sheets on the beds were stained with I want to think dried food from previous guests but could be other things. The hotel offers breakfast however the breakfast area is super small, only has one waffle maker and the AC was not working when I was there. Overall, it was the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed at, I could’ve stayed at a lower end hotel for the same type of experience. I’d rather sleep in my car than stay at this hotel in the future.

This hotel needs a lot of repairs and updating. I’ve stayed at the other Sleep Inn and this was the most outdated one I ever been too. And my toilet didn’t start working until the morning. First and last time ever staying in this location in Lansing. I usually stay at the Oakbrook location.

This was a last minute trip and all hotels in the area were booked. The staff was definitely friendly. I'm use to having my room serviced daily which they don't have. Carpet renovation is needed in the hallway. Wasn't too bad of a stay

Thanks paint was peeling around the window and ac unit. The bathroom had mold and the hall carpet was gross. Above our door something was leaking which caused the carpet to get wet that the water ran into our room from under the door ( disgusting). I herd the ninja word so many times from the neighbors room it was not cool. Will not stay ever again!

No staff complaints just that the property is listed as “soundproof” and I could hear my neighbors tv through the walls and floors and there was some guests that were shouting in the hallway at 11pm. Air conditioning unit while running was very loud that it almost made it hard to sleep.

Lamp in 309 desk needs to be replaced. I reported it twice. Even asked for a light bulb. But that did not fix it.

The hotel is adequate. The rooms have been given a recent facelift (new furniture, linens, a laminate floor) but the bathroom was dated, the shower door didn’t close properly, and so water sprayed all over the floor. The pillows were really inadequate and not comfortable at all. The doors (all the ones I encountered) throughout the hotel were visibly dirty. The front desk staff were super nice at both check in/out.

Honestly, your saving grace was the hotel staff and that good heat! Other than that, it was hard to swallow. You could smell the odor in the bathroom even with the door closed, but it magnified when the door was opened. There were only two outlets working. The faucet sat so far back on the sink that you had to turn the water on full force just so your hands wouldn't have to rub up against the sink each time you washed your hands. I have a picture of the mold on the sink and the live bug that was on my mattress when I pulled the bed away from the wall. What made me look was when I was in the fitness room, I spotted two bugs, one on the ceiling and one on the wall. The fitness room has been neglected. There's dust and dirt everywhere! Is that enough to get a refund?

Front Desk Clerk Raven was very helpful. She made sure that the type of room I requested was saved for my late check in. The actual room was great. I didn't like the lockers, filthy worn out carpeting, and cigarette odor in the hallway where my room was. Handicapped patrons, especially those that have resipatory issues shouldn't have to be put in this type of environment just to have access to a first-level room. Apparently the Sleep Inn has a contract with a railroad company and gave it's employees the first level of the hotel, where the handicapped-friendly rooms are also located.

Staff was very helpful and as accommodating as they could be. Other guests were smoking in the rooms and that smell then permeated the entire floor and into our room with small children. Not exactly the hotels fault, but kind of a result of the location and type of hotel. If that bothers you, maybe find somewhere else to stay.

the worst stay in my life

I am 50 years old and for the first time in my life hotel was so awful that I cut my vacation short and drove home a day earlier. The shortcoming of this hotel includes no pillow cases on the pillows, mold in the bathroom, small beds, small room, not enough power plugs for computers, and noisy airconditioner.

This was the worst hotel I've ever been in as far as conditions and cleanliness. I purchased a 2 double bed room and one of the beds were literally on the ground. No railings at all. The bathroom shower was so nasty that I wouldn't touch it with a long stick. The hallway carpet was beyond filthy and the vending machine area looked like a crime scene. I would not for any circumstances refer this hotel. They charged me a 5 star hotel price for a one star hotel. I am beyond disappointed and it shows that Hotel.com doesn't do their homework when giving a description for a hotel. I will make my purchases through a different vendor from now on. That's was pretty much $200 for a motel.

Hotel needs to be upgraded. Dirty carpet, mildew in shower, stains on ceiling, when we 1st walked into the room the air conditioner was turned off so there was a musty/mildew smell in the room, ice machines were out of order. Beds were comfortable though. We stayed here to be closer to visiting family instead of staying in Alsip like we normally would. The cost of the rooms are not worth it.

Stepped off the elevator to our floor and was greeted by a hallway of filthy carpet. Got to our room and there were stains on the comforter, hairs on the pillows and crud on the bathroom floor. Went down to the front desk to get a new room, which was an improvement. I know this is a Sleep Inn so I didn't expect a ton of amenities. I did expect the rooms to be properly cleaned. Won't be staying again.

The hotel staff was friendly but they were not wearing masks at all times nor did they enforce the mask policy as I saw a few guests walking in public areas without one. The hotel linen seemed very clean and the bed was comfortable but there were 2 tiny pillows on the bed that were too small for the queen bed. The room floors could have been cleaner and the bathroom had a very sour smell. The room served its purpose and its in a great location. I enjoyed the room amenities and there were plenty of shopping and food options nearby and it's close to the highway.
