This was a first time visit for my husband and I for our 42nd Wedding Anniversary. When I approached the hotel check-in I was greeted with a hello and a smile from RAQUEL! I was asked if this was my first time visiting and my response was no so the front desk agent gave me all the information required and thanked my for choosing Wind Creek for our anniversary. I then spoke with 2 bellmen, Joseph and Mark who explained the elevators, room key, restaurant locations andthe tunnel to and from parking garage.

Helpful staff and clean facility. Don’t plan on sleeping! Very loud neighbors, partying, music, arguments, multiple people in and out of the room, until 4 AM. No security, or staff, walking the hallways. They are only in the casino.

It was clean, the staff was nice for the most part, my biggest complaint would be there isn’t a single posted sign anywhere saying there’s a deposit and when we got there already paying almost $400 for our room for a couple nights they charged us $100/night which brought our total way higher than we expected. We drove in from Michigan on a budget for a small honeymoon since we had just gotten married the previous Saturday and the extra money we had to pay on top of what we had already paid didn’t sit right with me. There should be a very clear sign saying “$100 DEPOSIT PER NIGHT” if they’re going to charge it when you get there. Just not a great way to end a 3 hour drive for something we’ve been looking forward to for a week.

First time experience was best starting with free garage parking. From there get on the elevator and checking in. Check in with shift manager Shanika she was super sweet and nice. Explained everything and showed us how to access everything. Casino was nice. Ordered breakfast was good. Casino was big and nice only thing not a gambler so lost my money lol. But would recommend nice hotel was beautiful.

The casino is a great place to stay just off the highway in Hazel Crest/Homewood. However this is the second time I booked with Expedia that the hotel did not recognize that I paid for my stay in full in advance. Last time I did not know this and was charged twice for my stay - once when I paid thru Expedia, and once when the hotel charged my credit card. It took me a little over a week to get this situation corrected and the duplicate payments refunded to me. This time, knowing what happened before, I noticed right away that they wanted me to pay again for the stay. I had all of my confirmation documents and credit card activities related to my prepayment. The front desk person quickly got a manager involved and apparently there is something on their check in screen that did indicate that I paid through a 3rd party. So, this time I did not pay twice because I was aware of the confusion they have over 3rd party bookings. Aside from this, the hotel is clean and quite and we will be staying there again -- with confirmation documents in hand just in case..

A lovely hotel experience. Clean room. I really enjoyed hearing the music throughout the hotel. Vey clean easy fir me to navigate as a handicap person. Helpful an d very pleasant staff!

The only and biggest disappointment was the pool/hot tub amenity. I was very surprised to see a bunch of children running around and playing in the hot tub. I didn't know casinos were for family outings. I thought we were having a couples getaway. Boy was I wrong!!! After a long drive we really wanted a hot soak. There are no bathtubs in the rooms either so that made it even worse. Oh well. I was told we could pay $100 to use the hot tub in the private spa.

I am writing regarding my stay at your resort from May 29, 2026 through June 1, 2026. On the morning of May 30, I attempted to make coffee in my room, only to discover that the coffee maker was not working. Before leaving for the day, I stopped by the front desk and informed the staff of the problem. I explained that I had been inconvenienced by having to purchase coffee from Starbucks instead of using the in-room coffee maker. There were two employees at the front desk, and one of them assured me by saying, “I’m on it.” I thanked her and expected the issue would be resolved promptly.

However, on the morning of May 31, I discovered that the coffee maker had not been repaired or replaced. In fact, my coffee cup was still sitting exactly where I had left it the previous day, indicating that no one had addressed the issue. Once again, I was forced to purchase coffee from Starbucks, which was both inconvenient and frustrating.

Additionally, on May 31, I notified the front desk that I would have an additional guest joining me that evening and requested extra towels and washcloths. Unfortunately, the requested items were never delivered. Furthermore, housekeeping did not service my room during my stay, which added to my dissatisfaction.

Another concern was that several light fixtures in the room were not functioning properly, leaving the room noticeably dim throughout my stay.

Overall, this hotel is very nice! The bed was comfortable with clean sheets. The shower was amazing, they have Starbucks downstairs and a steakhouse on the 17th floor! The only downside was the pool seemed very foggy and the hot tub was NOT clean! There was some buildup of dirt in the hot tub. Also, the lights in our room were acting weird at some points which was kind of spooky.

There is no easy way to get luggage to your room. Check in is on floor 2. You enter on floor 1. If you dont want to pay for valet, you go to the garage, walk an insane distance, take an elevator to a different floor to check in, then make your way alllllllll the way back to your car and carry everything several blocks to more elevators and hope the cards work to use the elevator to get to your floor and hope the cards work on your door too. I love the tech that allows cool elevator stuff, its novel and great but it was a hassle. I was not there for the casino. I was there for a room. There needs to be a place where I can park, actually find a luggage cart to walk quickly to an elevator, then be done in 15min.
This is a fantastic property, I would love to vacation here. But there is no way I'm coming back to spend well over an hour walking just to get all my luggage to my room.
Add an entrance for HOTEL GUESTS with luggage to park temporarily, then put up some clearly visible signs and luggage carts next to an elevator to the check-in desk. That would make this place perfect.

The stay was amazing. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here while visiting Chicago. I do, however have some recommendations. Hotter water for the showers and microwaves for the rooms. If I am buying food from the hotel restaurants, and cannot finish it all, how am I to reheat my leftovers? Outside of those issues, Wind Creek was great.

The hotel staff was amazing and the bartenders and staff at the Alto Restaurant on the rooftop were also fantastic! The only complaints I have are that the AC did not cool down as well as we would have liked. The lowest we could get it to was 70/71 and it was not comfortable for sleeping. Also, the bed had a protective padding under the fitted sheet that was very pilled, so it felt a little bumpy, like sand was underneath the sheet.

Checking in and extending my stay were complicated!
After extending my room I was then at work, got a call to say my belongings that were in my room were going to be bagged and tagged.
Poor communication. After a few emails with no reply’s I am still waiting on my receipt, weeks later!
As I was there on a business trip receipts are important for my expenses.
I would advise anyone on a business to make sure you get your receipt before leaving, I was promised mine would follow, it did after a phone call but it was wrong.

Specifically came for the pool and gambling but pool wasn't accessible needed a late checkout but wasn't able to receive it.I was also here March 1st for my wife's birthday and we discovered blood on the sheets after we we came back from a great dinner at the steakhouse on the 17th floor and gambling my wife was freaked out and NO magic happened for me 😞😢but management transferred us to a new room at 1:30 in the morning,we had to gather all our things and move to another room mond you I was in boxers and my wife in lingerie.got in new room and all she wanted to do is shower and go to sleep.. total mood killer.
Great property but customer service is lacking or maybe I shouldn't expect the level of service I receive at Vegas properties.

My room was cancelled & shouldn’t have been. I spent an hour & a half advocating for myself and waiting for some level of customer service. It didn’t happen. They ended up calling security on me.. 5-6 security people came. I continued to advocate for myself. Turns out they did have a room available, but I didn’t get into the room until after 11:00pm last night. It was a horrible experience overall.

If you extend your stay you have to go down to the front desk in the morning to sign a new form and, depending on what time it is, they may not be capable of renewing your keys at that time which means you have to return again later in the day. When they asked if I wanted housekeeping I said yes and, even though I was gone from my room for 12 hours I didn't get it. Then there was a knock on my door at 10 pm when I was falling asleep and I found towels outside the door the next morning. That's not what I call housekeeping.

I stayed there this past weekend and check in was very easy. They was a garage attached to the casino. They was also valet available. I only needed a photo ID and a debit card, there was a hold placed on my card, which was fine. The room was amazing! So beautiful, not a lot of light I’d say, but very nice and the shower was top tier. The alto steakhouse was realllyyyy good as well with a beautiful enclosed rooftop. I’d go back here 100%.

I contacted the hotel prior to my stay to request a microwave, but upon arrival I was told the hotel doesn’t have microwaves at all. This was inconvenient since I brought food with me that I couldn’t use.

I also confirmed ahead of time that my room would have a shower, but it actually had a bathtub instead.
During my stay, I found a cockroach in my room. I reported it to the front desk, and they were willing to move me, which I appreciated.

There are very few accurate guest photos online, so it’s hard to know what to expect from the rooms.
Additionally, one of the light switches in the room was damaged, and the mattress was very soft.
On the positive side, the hotel was clean overall and had some enjoyable amenities.

Overall, I was disappointed due to the inconsistencies and issues during my stay.
