Long wait at check in and group of people screaming over a high school game on a computer the entire time. Property is pretty run down. Stairway/hall door broken in half, wall trim and paint ripped off in multiple locations. Toilet seat only barely attached on one side and not at all on the other- serious hazard to sit. No hot water- shower/bath/sink lukewarm at best any given time. Bed was fine and room was clean. Blackout blinds were in good shape. Shampoo and conditioner containers were ripped off of the wall and sitting on tub edge. Pillows were small and hard. Towels were large and soft. Breakfast had good options and plentiful- but would recommend plain oatmeal be available (they had lots of topping options but only pre-flavored and sugared instant packets oddly). Staff were pleasant.

House keeping never came to clean my room and get the trash out so It had to stay in there for my entire stay, room smelled of the food and trash the entire stay. Management really didn’t do anything but offer points on my Marriott account. The bath tub stopper was broken so hard for me to bathe my 1 year old. The shampoo conditioner and body wash was broke off wall and just sat on floor next to tub

The little refrigerator in the room was definitely missed by housekeepers ! I had to clean it before I could use it . I probably could have called the front desk I’m sure they would have took care of this but I was so tired it seemed easier for me to clean it !
Also if you want a dark room this is not the place ! They have sheer curtains and lights from the parking lot that keep the room lit up all night .
Room was clean other than refrig ! Pleasant place but the room was way too lit up !

I’ve stayed at this hotel quite a bit but this time will be my last time. The first room I was given the bathtub was so filthy. I was able to switch rooms but was given a ADA room, wasn’t too happy about it. The hotel needs to be cleaned from top to bottom.. There’s a weird moldy smell in the hallway. Hipefulmy management does a better upkeep.

Was flown here for work for a day.
This come around was indubitably better.
Clean rooms, Pleasant Front Desk Agents. Tolietries were plentiful(*shampoo,conditioner, female products, etc.) So this was appreciated in case I failed to bring something, it was within my access. Would also like to add that the stay was quiet, & halls were fresh smelling, not stale, dated, or dusty. Not quite sure if there was an update or addition within owners, yet, this stay was much more palatable & appeasing. It is very apparent they strive to keep customers happy & comfortable. Thanks again!

Pool out of order (which was the purpose of booking the staycation for NYE w the kids). Not willing to do anything for the inconvenience. Not even an extended check out. Rooms are ok. Staff wasn't accommodating and they have a shortage of towels. So one per room even though there are 3 people in the room. Nothing special. I wouldn't stay here again.

When I came to check in, I didn’t get a warm greeting at all. The lady at the front desk was sitting at her computer and didn’t even notice me standing there. It took her a while to look up, put her things aside, and finally help me check in.

The parking is terrible. There are no handicap spaces on the back side of the hotel and only about four in the front. After checking in and getting our keys, we left to grab a few things from Walmart. When we came back, my 3-year-old autistic grandson set his cup on the nightstand, and it fell — the whole nightstand came off the wall and landed on the floor. I’m not sure if it hit him since he’s nonverbal and couldn’t tell us, but it was late, we were tired from driving over four hours, so I called the front desk the next morning. They moved us to the room next door and said maintenance would have to fix it.

The second day, parking was an issue again. I’m handicapped and have trouble walking, so that made things even harder. Breakfast wasn’t great either — nothing to brag about.

I chose this hotel because of the area and because the website showed a nice pool. But when we arrived, we were told the pool was closed “just for one day.” It ended up being closed the entire three days we stayed. My grandchildren were really disappointed, and honestly, so was I.

The staff were all friendly and helpful, and pleasant to talk with. The building itself and the room were worn out. There were rubbed away spots in the bathroom floor and a piece of strong tape over one. The entire place needs updating. Also, the breakfast was average, but the orange juice machine didn't work (it spit out water with pale orange every now and then. The coffee was horrible.

The location was tucked up against the highway, so traffic was noticeably loud. We left before breakfast opened, but were told at check out we could go grab some things to take with us. The woman at the front desk was exceptional! Very friendly and helpful to everyone in the lobby. She even made a note immediately for housekeeping to fix the bathroom door that was almost impossible to open if you closed it. She is definitely a great asset to your company!

The staff was very friendly! I didn’t like having to go fetch clean towels every day. I didn’t think it is was right for the hotel to charge the same price for the second and third day as the first day when your room doesn’t get fresh sheets and towels every day like you would get for a new room. The breakfast hours were not shown in the room, either. No restaurant info was available and parking was not ideal. And why 2 different prices for a multiple night stay?? That sure isn’t showing any customer appreciation!! Things could have been a lot better but it also could have been a lot worse. Next time, i will most likely stay somewhere else! But the friendly staff was a plus!

My greeting was we don't have any rooms in stead of asking if I had reservations (which I did). This put a very bad taste in my mouth after driving 6 hrs. The elevator took forever and the lobby was very congested; not with people but the way things were arranged. The rooms were comfortable.

I'm taking away one star because the pool is so tiny. Only 15 people can be in there at one time.. and it was freezing which is strange for an indoor pool. Then I'm taking away two more stars because when we woke up there were ants all over one of our drinks... Which I've never experienced at a hotel before. And then there were ants all over the coffee cart area where the ice bucket was but nothing was over there. Even no drinks. No, nothing for them to be attracted to. So that was kind of gross. I will say the breakfast buffet selection was pretty great and I appreciated that they had oat milk for coffee. Also, the receptionist was really nice.

There’s a floor tile that is broken, only one outlet behind the bedside table to charge our phone, and the worse of it all, the bathroom door gets locked on its own and if the door closes, we cannot open it from the outside. We called to have someone open the door of fix it and we were told that we simply have to leave the door open. Very rude, told us all he can do is to leave a note so that they can fix the door. Basically, too bad for you. Do not book this hotel.

Really bad night!

When we got there no one was at the desk to check us in & there were people sitting there waiting. They said they'd been waiting about 10 min already and once we arrived or was another 10ish min before anyone came to the desk. That night around 11pm, the person in the room above us started stomping around their room really loudly keeping us awake. At 2am we called the desk to complain and I don't think they did anything to resolve this because the stomping and loud noises continued until around 4am. This was an awful night!

**Hotel Review: Marriott Fairfield**

I recently stayed at the Marriott Fairfield for a volleyball tournament with my daughter, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. We booked a double red bedroom, which was newly renovated. While the fresh paint gave it a clean look, the strong smell of paint was a bit overwhelming and detracted from our comfort.

Unfortunately, the shower in our room did not function well, which was frustrating, especially after long days at the tournament. However, the most concerning issue was that on the first night, I woke up with five bite marks on my body after laying in bed. This was quite alarming and definitely affected my overall comfort during the stay.

To add to the chaos, as we were checking out on Sunday, there was a significant disturbance in the hotel. I believe someone may have been trespassing, as the police were present. It was a chaotic end to our stay, and I’m not sure what really happened, but it certainly didn’t leave a good impression.

On a positive note, I must commend the staff, particularly the check-in lady, who was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Her kindness was a bright spot in an otherwise challenging experience.

Overall, while there were some redeeming aspects, I’m unsure if I would choose to stay at this Marriott Fairfield again given the issues we faced.

I got into town a couple of hours before check in from Indianapolis for one of my friend’s wedding. There was nothing available for early check in. I was about to go out to the car to change before I explained to the lady at the front desk my situation. She hopped on the radio and her cell phone and called the cleaning staff to see how many rooms were done at that time. To my luck, a room was available. She got me checked in and I was able to make the wedding on time. I think her name was Jackie…Thank You, Ms. Jackie. You saved my life! lol I really hope that was her name. I felt bad for not being able to go back down and personally thank her myself before the wedding. The room was excellent and the bed was wonderful. I got some much needed sleep the next day. I will definitely be looking for a room here when I return
