I have honestly never seen a hotel in conditions this bad still actively accepting reservations. The entire property looked abandoned, unsafe, and under construction. There were piles of dead branches, debris, garbage, and overgrown landscaping throughout the property. Scaffolding surrounded sections of the building, the exterior looked half-painted and unfinished, and the overall atmosphere felt more like a condemned property than a functioning hotel.

The fountain area was filled with stagnant, filthy water, broken down and completely neglected. Walkways and common areas were dirty and poorly maintained. At night, the property felt incredibly unsafe. Nothing about this place remotely resembled the photos advertised online.

To make matters worse, there was vomit on the floor inside the hotel. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about the cleanliness and management of this property. It was absolutely disgusting.

Expedia should be embarrassed for continuing to list this hotel while showcasing misleading photos and reviews that do not reflect reality at all. This was not simply an outdated hotel. This was a health, safety, and sanitation issue. Guests are paying money expecting a safe and clean stay and instead walking into a property that looks abandoned and barely operational.

I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to stay somewhere else immediately. One of the worst travel experiences I have ever had.

If I could give this place a 0 I would soon as we checked in we were told we had 15mins to inspect the room because basically not being able to switch or get a refund. I inspected the room within seven or eight minutes came down stairs to report there were blood stains on my sheet and bugs on my floor. Spoke with the front desk clerk who gave me the opportunity to switch rooms went to the second room, there were roaches on the curtains crawling. I went back downstairs showed the staff the video. He basically told me he cannot approve my refund. He did not have the authority to do that he did not have a number for his management team so he gave me an email address and basically gave me a hard time the whole time. I let him know I will be reporting it to Expedia as well as the Better Business Bureau due to the conditions of the hotel I would not recommend.

This property must have been a condemned an recently bought. Owners should not have opened this property to be a rent ready hotel. Outside is terrible with no curb appeal. They are trying to make the building look better but there is construction debris everywhere along with a large amount of trash everywhere. Property needs mowing and landscaping needs a LOT of help. Bushes and trees dead and grass and flowers beds need a lot of work. Fountain needs repair. The pictures online are deceiving and deceptive. The pool is scary looking and definitely doesn't look like you could enjoy. The Full breakfast was just bread and a few cereal, not even a contintial breakfast. No drinks but Sunny D and milk. Rooms are severely outdated and need improvement. Bed was lumpy and my wife was bitten by some type of bug. We think it was bed bugs. I could go on further but I think everyone is getting a clear picture. Stay away and save your money. They even have a no refund sign posted at the desk while you check in. You ve been warned.

Wasn’t told that the hotel was under renovation. Hot tub was not available, pool was not heated as it advertised, there was no staff only one person available, breakfast was not served at 6:30a, only one ice machine worked, wasn’t enough wash towels for room, had to wait for housekeeping to come in next day, room was nice but couldn’t sleep. The other guest had complained about the staff not being available because it was only one person working to accommodate others.

Did not look like pictures, so many things broken or out of order. I picked it for the breakfast they didn’t even have coffee at 6:30 and the coffee maker in room was dirty and broke. Bedding had stains and the tub wouldn’t drain. It was otherwise clean no bugs At least.

Most lighting in the parking lot not working. Property under repair, and the pictures do not at represent the poor condition of the property. The desk attendant was outside when I arrived smoking with a friend. Was wearing a dirty jacket as he checked me in. Another staff memeber had his feet propped up on a table and did not move when I entered. The entire building was cold. Had to move rooms due to dirty sheets and stained sofa in room.
The second room was slightly cleaner, except for the tub which had a razor cover in it, and a badly stained shower curtain. The cable box power was linked in with the main light switch, so when I cut off the light, the cable box would also go off.
Breakast was advertised, but very odd and lacking.
Awful place.... would never go back. Its so bad that there is a sign giving you 15 minutes to lidge complaints, and another explaining that the desk clerk cannot give refunds. THEY know its bad.

The pictures have to be old. The first room was dirty had no toilet paper. They moved us second room had no fridge just empty space lamp sitting on floor. I understand it looks like there are some renovations and the hotel is older but you should be able to keep the front and ten rooms in good working condition while you do so and unclean rooms there is never an excuse! Also I had to call for the front desk from the front desk which was hard to do when I forgot my phone in first room and the phone in second room didn’t work!! Just overall bad experience! Oh and no hot tub even though it says there is one and the pool was not open so ya I would work on the hot mess of a hotel you have because you won’t get any business if you keep running it like this, and for Wyndham to have its name on it too very surprised!

Room and lobby are tidy and clean. They are remodeling so there are things that are not 100% at this time. The staff is quick to assist and please you. Sometimes something is missing. The board was there but no iron. Just ask. It is pretty nice and will be amazing soon. I hope it doesn't lose it's ski resort vibe. A lot of places are losing their personality.

Whoever was working on Froday, October, 10th at 11:30 was very rude, I book a room with two beds in one room for two nights and she said that I didn't have anything booked under my name and to call the number I was given; even thought I showed her all the receipts of me paying for the room. So after being declined multiple times of her sayings I didn't have any bookings I ask how much would I have to pay for the room that I originally asked for and she said $560 dollars which I believe is a bit expensive so I didn't pay. After before I walked out I called the number that I was told to call and when I did her phone or the hotel phone started ringing signally that I had all of my information correct and the lady there stared at me stupidly like she doesn't know whats going on. And as I was walking away another gust came running downstairs complaining about how the beds weren't clean and the room was very unsanitay and that its not a place of comfort. So for my overall experience it sucked because how in any circumstance did she not realized already had a room I pre-booked before arriving and then had the adacity to cancel my stay but yet still tried taking off my credit card.

They gave me a room with no running water, and the key wouldn’t open the door so they had to open the door for me with the master key. So they gave me another room with smaller beds and one of the bedsheets had cigarette burn marks.

The landscape was unkept, bushes needed trimming, a tall ladder was outside near windows, a screen was torn.
The tub had stains, towel rack over toilet broke when a towel was removed, a sock was under the bed and other debris, floor needed mopping, hallway needed cleaning, no base boards, a door was visibly broken, my door didn’t lock! Needed another room!

During the weekdays, there are hot waffles. Weekend a larger selection of hot items. Always a nice continental offering. Friendly staff. The near future holds plans for upgrades, but I am happy now.
The only thing I would change, is a cooler lobby climate in the summer. The rooms are adjustable to your preferences.

This hotel is not ready to be open. This looks like another Wyndham property that is refurbished as a budget hotel. Lots of things not ready yet. Elevator out of order, ice machine (first floor) out of order, ice machine (second floor) so dirty, I didn't wouldn't take ice. Room furniture very old, desk chair broken, hallway light burned out making it very dark. Breakfast was subpar, even for a budget hotel. Constuction material still in various places. The staff were nice upon check-in. However, our room was very uncomfortable. It was so hot and stuffy, and the AC obviously did not work. It did not cool and hardly blew air out. this hotel isn’t perfect but its cheap, $300 for three nights not so bad if you decide to get a hotel cheap don’t expect it to be perfect. my experience was okay the lights flickered and shut off nothing a window cant help though. bed was clean and everything was decently clean they do need to check under things while cleaning bcz i found some deodorant and condoms😂but overall it was fine we didnt stay the whole day we went out. nobody came into our room and bothered our belongings so thats a plus. If your on a budget go here no bed bugs no bad things but if you are a little more bougie find somewhere else

The elevator was broken when we arrived. We have an 11 mo old baby, so we have a stroller, as well as luggage for our children and ourselves. The hotel staff gave us a room on the first floor.
Immediately after arriving in the room, we saw a massive spider on the floor. About an hour later, we saw another one. Then we saw a third and fourth one on the walls.
The wall behind the toilet had black mold. The remote control for the TV did not work. The floor was absolutely filthy. Our baby’s feet, hands, and legs were covered in dirt.
We requested a new room at 11:00pm and the staff was very accommodating. They gave us a new room on the second floor.
We no longer had the issue with spiders, and the room was slightly cleaner.
When we brought the kids to play in the pool, it was way too cold to swim. They both got out shivering.
There were broken railings in the pool area.
The breakfast was good. Waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, coffee, cereal, milk, and orange juice were the options.

Absolutely horrible experience at this property! The room had broken glass, the fridge was filthy, the swimming pool was full of insects, and even the breakfast area had insects.
I had my 2-year-old child with me, and it was completely unsafe and unlivable. We had to check out immediately and find another place to stay, costing us extra money and stress. On top of that, we had to throw away $50–$70 worth of food because the fridge was unusable.
I booked this place through Expedia, trusting that it would meet basic safety and cleanliness standards. Unfortunately, it was a total disaster.
I would never recommend this property to anyone, and I strongly urge Expedia to remove it from their listings.

Hotel is in poor condition. First arrived was given a key that didn’t open door. Had to return to front desk and be given another room. Once in the room no microwave was there and the tv didn’t work. Had to return to front desk to tell them that the tv didn’t work as there was no phone in the room to call the front desk! Pool was closed! Elevator was out of service! The hotel breakfast was doled out. I asked for more bagels and they brought out 3! The hotel gets a zero! We will never return again!!!!

The outside of the location looked horrible and almost abandoned. It can't be hard to get a landscape company to come take care of this. The staff on the inside were friendly. There was a construction company working on certain rooms thru the hotel. Not on areas but rooms so the room next to you or across from you maybe getting work done. This is stupid because you assume that guest are not sleeping thru the day and thats not true. The room i was in looked like it should be on the list to get worked on.

This hotel was absolutely disgusting. The cleanliness was absolutely nonexistent. The first room that I went into the toilet seat was completely covered in urine. The towels had what looked like rust on them. The bathtub did not look like it was properly cleaned, and there was dust and food crumbs all over the counter. If you value cleanliness this is definitely not a place you need to stay.

Where to start, the front desk attendant was nodding off as she was trying to program my roomkey. She was without a doubt under the influence of opiates or sedatives. The room smelled musty, no Kleenex or toilet paper in the room, the garbage had not been taken out from the last guest. There was no remote for the TV. And the toilet didn't flush. And to top it all off, no shampoo, soap, or lotion in the room. Linens were filthy. This place needs some serious work. This property was stunning when it was the Carlton Lodge. Now it's a seedy drug den. I should be refunded. That place is absolutely filthy.

If I could rate this property and -0 I would never in my travels, have I encountered such a filthy room the bathtub had dirt in it. The bedding was disgusting. There was spiderwebs throughout the room and dead bugs on the floor. The lighting was so dim as if they were trying to shelter you from being able to see it. Breakfast so-so. Fire alarm went off at 1:31 AM. Fire dept came out. probably sprinkler system issue. I was concerned about carbon monoxide therefore did not sleep more. Sleep and never wake up.

The place looks nothing like in the pictures. When we arrived the first thing we noticed was the trash in a corner of the hotel outside. It looks old and run down. As we were walking to our room there was mold on the walls white powder on the carpet and trash in bags in hallways. When we finally got to out room it was no different, the beds didn’t even have comforters stains everywhere the bed skirts were too big for the bed so they were overhanging torn and ripped, the fridge was so dirty inside and out. The ac barely worked and it looked to have mold inside. Breakfast in the morning was trash and in very little quantities. We only stayed one night. 3 weeks after staying there I checked my credit card statement and they actually charged me $82 extra for the one night stay aside from the $120 I paid for the room on hotels.com I tried calling the manager for a whole week and they would either hang up the phone on me or deny him till I finally spoke to him and was of no help. I still don’t understand why if I paid $120 on hotels for the one night stay the hotel would charge me an extra $82 for that single night. I contacted customer service and they were able to refund me my money. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone!

I asked & was told that my room would receive housekeeping 2 times during my 6 day 5 night stay yet no housekeeping was done my entire stay

This hotel looks like it was abandoned for a significant amount of time. The pictures you see are not true images of the property. Our room was dusty, and did not feel safe for me or my child. From the outside several windows were broken, overgrowth and trash. I am disappointed that Hotels.com would carry a property like this as an option because it looks inhabitable. To make it worse management has a sign saying request refunds through your booking agency but then deny the refund. I have never seen anything like this type of poorly managed property before.

Horrible, apocalyptic setting.

The outside of the building looks apocalyptic. Weeds overgrown, people obviously high out of their minds wandering around. Industrial fans blowing in a very warm building. The pool was half covered by a tarp. The inside felt like it hadn't been updated in about 20 years. Broken furniture littered the hallways. The room was dirty, the hallways leading to the room was dirty. The aircon didn't work anywhere in the buliding.

Poor condition cleaning ladies dropped the ball.even the toilet didnt work look at pictures see bugs in the picture.could of stayed at motel 6 if i wanted trash.the pictures made it look so nice.hallways are very nasty spilled shakes down the stairs .my door looked kicked in barely worked.this stay was not worth $134 or to be on expedia

Worst hotel stay

Room was awful. When we first got there a piece of the ceiling fell on my wife's head. We complained to the front desk and while they did move us to a different room, there seemed to be no apology or remorsefullness in the staff. The overall stay was awful. Most things were broken or didn't work well. The staff was rude and unapologetic. Would never stay there again.

This hotel was very out dated. Horrible customer service. I had to ask for towels over and over and never received them. Her response was they don’t have enough staff. It was molded. Construction was going on in the middle of the hallways, The Pool area was dirty. I had to ask them to clean it. It’s felt like something out of American horror story!! Staff was not helpful at all. This place needs to be shut down immediately.

From the moment you arrive you see the deterioration of the place, nothing to do with the photos with which they announce it. Everything around is dirty inside and out. It doesn't have air conditioning in the common areas and they stink. The rooms are not very clean either, in a whole week no one got to clean the room and much less to change sheets and towels. The corridors with garbage and bad smells. Most of the employees with a very bad attitude. The breakfast was very poor and poorly cooked, plus at 7:45am there was not even coffee left. As soon as I arrived and saw everything I wanted to cancel even if they charged me for the first night but they told me that if I canceled I had to pay for the 6 nights I had booked so I chose to stay, but it was totally unpleasant.

They are in the process of renovating old, neglected property. Our room was clean. However, the breakfast was skimpy to nonexistent, the TV had no cable service to it, and the pools (inside and outside) were out of service. I would not recommend staying here until the renovations are completed. The staff is very nice though and apologetic of the conditions.

Don't Do It!

The hotel is aged and is in need of a major renovation. The housekeeping is not impressive. A dirty hairy towel was left in the bathroom hanging on shower curtain rack. The shower curtain and bedspread had stains. The staff was ver nice. The hotel itself needs a major overhaul. I can't believe that this is a Wyndham Hotel. Wyndham dropped the ball on this hotel.

The only good thing i have to say about the property was that the lady who initially checked me in and helped me switch rooms was very polite and helpful.

The rest was a nightmare. Stephen king could easily find inspiration from even just one night here.

Dead bugs everywhere. No AC on the hottest day of the year. Broken furniture and appliances are scattered throughout the property. My first room smelled like stale cigarettes and had no working fridge.

The second room, a king suit, had burns in the curtains, no ac, the fridge was in the middle of the room leaving a huge ugly empty spot near the wall where it was meant to go. I had to fix the TV, there was a huge birds nest obstructing the window, the faucet was installed incorrectly in the shower, and where the floor met the ceiling and in the corners of the room there is clear space that shouldnt be there. I would request a full refund at this time and warn anyone against going here for a night.

Several gunshots overnight, woke up saturday to beer cans and trash scattered all over the front of the property.

Hallway upstairs smelled like weed also.

And all staff other than the one woman i mentioned were unattentive and rude. We basically had to beg for toilet paper and extra towels, which where handed over with a very sarcastic attitude.

There's more and I have photos. The city should shut this place down. The phone didnt even work.
