Very dirty, peeling paint, large hole in bathroom wall, toilet didn't flush, sheets were stained, I couldn't get into my room due to the door being damaged, the pool was closed, I had to pay $60 up front in cash for a deposit on top of the room rate - had to use their ATM for the cash and was charged $3.75. I did get the $60 back when I checked out but I will never stay here again.

I had to put up a $60 CASH deposit before checking in. They had a ATM machine which charged me $3.50 to get the $60. Many people travel with little cash as we rely on our plastic which is lower risk. This was appalling!!

The place is okay for staying, especially for families, but the bathrooms did not feel very professional or well-maintained. The breakfast could also be much better. I waited a long time for my refundable security deposit, and I still have not received it, which was disappointing. Parking is good, but the outdoor stairway areas were not very clean. Overall, the stay was okay, but there are definitely areas that need improvement.

Excellent value for that prices we were quite impressed. Only thing that still needs updating in the bathtub. The paint was chipping and flaking off heavily in the tub. The rest of the room was fantastic and totally comfortable.

Terrible experience with the staff and the manager . Tv was not working . Smell coming from AC.
They just take signature on the paper so that u will forget the checkout time without giving u a fair warning or send someone that there will be late fee . They just kept the whole deposit .This is ridiculous i was suppose to checkout at 11 . I forgot and checking out at 12 and now they are keeping my whole deposit which freaking half of the amount of my reservation . Shame on the owners and Management . We insist to take late checkout fee however they kept the whole deposit .

Their were needles in the room did not see it until I was stuck in the finger with one went to the hospital had to get a tetanus shot, bloodwork just to make sure that I was OK came back. Tried talking to management management never called me back every time I called the front desk. No one knew how to get in touch with management. I kept leaving my number and still to this moment, I still have yet to talk to management. I am back home. I have seen my own primary care. Doctor had lab work re-ran still waiting on my management of this hotel to reach out and at least acknowledge what happened over the weekend. I will no longer be using this hotel ever again. This used to be my go to hotel when I was in Merriville, but it is no longer I will be filing charges against them

When we got to the hotel it was a $60 cash deposit that was not on the website which was okay but it was a couple in front of me that couldn't pay the $60 and they still let them stay but they made me pay then the receptionist had no good customer service skills she was mean and nasty and the room had chip paint stuff peeling off the walls no ice maker it was just a bad experience

The room smelled when I arrived found out heat and AC didn't work had toliet issues it had to be plunged several times. When you say on toliet it moved off the floor. Fridge was not cleaned properly. Blankets were not cleaned. Found a crack pipe in the grass outside on of the exit doors. My dogs got out the hotel room somehow and couldn't get help from front desk to ask them anything about what happened waited at desk for several minutes with no help. I do realize this is a budget hotel option but we as guests still deserve the best stay. We believe someone tried to enter our room while we were for for a few and let the dogs out our Labrador Retriever suffered injuries to his front paws and my 200lb English Mastiff was found outside in the cold this was devastating for me and my boys to come back to our Labrador is still recovering from his injury and unable to walk currently

The front desk was nice during check in , but when it was time to check out and get my $60 deposit back I was told I smoked in the room when I have a vehicle and smoked in my car , I was never told second hand smoke counted but will NEVER stay here again just due to the front desk was disrespectful and caused me to get out of character!! I wasn’t mad about the deposit I was mad because the front desk told me I did something I know I didn’t do and there’s glass in the parking lot overall I just slept here because I had to rest and was leaving early morning .

It was horrible, the rooms were dirty, bathroom was dirty, water from both shower and faucet was not functioning properly. The toilet and tub as well as the shower curtain were filthy. I had to book two rooms due to 2 adults, twins and a 12 year old. The two adults had to help the babies…I was not satisfied with this hotel. The security doors were not locked.

The first words the desk guy said to me were \"We can't guarantee there will be hot water, and if you want a refund you'll have to take it up with Expedia.\" Room was dirty with cockroaches and holes in the walls. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra dollars to stay somewhere better. Plus side is that our dog stayed for free and the bed was comfortable.

I check in. The staff lady says give me 60.00 cash deposit-you get it back when u check out. Then she said \"by the way the police r on there way kicking out a person\". 3 hours later the police show back up pounding on doors looking for a guy that had a plastic bag over his head. Then at 7am i open my door and towels, mops all over the hallway. It smelt gross! I did get my 60 bucks back but this place horrible and not safe!!!

Upon checking in was told i needed to provide $60 cash security deposit, surprise! Luckily I had cash on me.

In room there was a shelf sitting on top a cabinet that was obviously ripped from the wall above the sink.

Water damage to the wall near the tub and paint drops on floor and tub. Tub surround had many gaps and broken selant. Tub faucet dripped constantly but didn't disturb my sleep. Went to take a shower in the morning but was unable to as the shower head was nearly completely clogged, only a dribble of water came out. All the front desk said was sorry about that. Figured a discount or refund would be in oreder but no.

Motel charged $60 for potential damage at check in. It had to be cash. No credit card was acceptable. The heat did not work. The door handle at the entrance door didn’t work correctly. There was a hole in a wall. All problems were reported to the office manager. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Shower head was clogged.

This place is horrible. My husband and I own a business that serves multiple states in the Midwest which is (2 adults and a 6 year old) traveling full time and staying in a lot of motels. We booked 2 nights.
The girl at the front is completely unhelpful, she could hardly direct us on how to get to our room and basically scribbled the room number on the card. We asked her if there was any laundry area and she hesitated and then answered yes they do but it’s not easy to get to or not always working. We desperately needed to do laundry.
We grabbed all of our clothes and belongings and started to our room. We couldn’t find our room and couldn’t tell if we were looking for a 3,5 or a 7 (wet and cold) and had to set all of our stuff down so I could go back to the front and ask what my room number was.
The guy at the front desk with the piercings kind of laughed and said “did I write all crazy ?” I said I just want to go to my room and she said “oh yeah, you are in the back building”. He then informed me I’d be much better to drive my car over there.
My family walked up the steps and there was a drunk man drinking beer in the hallway. Our room had roaches all over it. Refrigerator and microwave did not work. Smoke detector had paper towels in it and people running and yelling in the hallway all night.
I had to give a 60 dollar cash deposit to stay in bugs and filth ? The second day we were working most the day thankfully but we feel itchy and sick and it’s gross. We need refund

I will make this short and sweet.
First room (231) I was put in, had the shower torn apart and water running. Was moved to room 235. The floorboards in the bathroom were squishing with water underneath and mold was up and down the shower. That night I was greeted by a handful of cockroaches in said bathroom. I was then moved to room 237. I was immediately greeted to 6 baby roaches on the sink in the living area. When I brought this forth to Sharon, the manager, she stated she could give me a $30 refund. Not great, but I appreciated her trying. When I got home, there was no refund. I contacted Hotels.com who was wonderful and they reached out to Motel6, who denied any refund. So... cockroach infested, mold, and liars. Don't waste your time or money. Also, there were two large dead roached in the 3rd room and one dead one on the second floor middle of the carpet in the hallway the whole time. Cleaning isn't a thing.

If there were an option to give minus five stars for the front desk staff, that’s exactly what I would choose. When I arrived at this hotel, exhausted after a long trip, the so-called clerk at the front desk treated me in the rudest way I have ever experienced in my life.

He hurled every obscene insult imaginable at me—apparently because I dared to wake him up. On top of that, he told me that he had canceled my reservation, which I made through Expedia.com, entirely on his own initiative without even informing me, simply because he “decided” I wasn’t going to show up.

I have never seen service this disgraceful before, and I hope I never will again. I strongly urge hotel management to investigate who was on duty that day and take the strictest possible action. The entire experience was so revolting and disgusting that words can hardly describe it.

Do not stay at this Motel, it’ a health hazardous.

I wouldn’t take a dead dog to this filthy motel I booked two rooms for three nights, after driving 15 hours. We checked in only enough time to see where the rooms were before we unloaded the car, opened my room door and the beds aren’t made, the floors is wet from moisture. My son goes to his room which is next door and there is visible mold all on the walls. We go back to the front desk with pictures to request a refund, the lady at the front desk gives us a refund but only for two days. They trying yo charge us for opening the doors and looking in the room. I should be charging them for the inconvenience. Very poor customer service, oh but I’m not done I will be reporting them!

I liked nothing. I switched rooms four times. Condom wrapper was found on my initial room floor. Blood spatter on several walls in a room. Smoke detectors beeping. Domestoc dispute in the hallway one of the nights. All kinds of hair over the floors. Each room I went in had a damp, unpleasant odor. Key card wasn't needed on multiple exterior doors.

Being surprised by a 50.00 CASH deposit on check in when nothing was posted on the website was disturbing. I don't usually carry cash anymore and it was most inconvenient!
The room was ok, but the hallway was filthy and smelled of marijuana! Likewise the parking lot.
I will avoid it in the future.
