We stayed here on our drive home to UK from Spain, so after a long day in the car it was a delight to arrive at this hotel and be greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. Our room was perfect, with direct garden access for us and our dog. Dinner was a small menu of dishes made with fresh local ingredients and was delicious.
We would definitely stay again and would recommend this hotel and it’s tranquil setting.

This charming place was perfect for our one night stay on our drive through France. Peaceful and quiet, located in a small village. Pet friendly and amazing breakfast of fresh warm breads, eggs, yogurt, cheese, fruit and much more. We especially enjoyed the local “raisin juice”. We stayed on a Sunday so the restaurant was not open for dinner, but I am sure it is excellent, we will try it next time.

The location is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The rooms are beautifully appointed. The staff have paid close attention to every detail for dinner and breakfast. It's a beautiful space and they've made a beautiful bed & breakfast.

Good stay but starving

Food needs to be improved in choice in line with other hotels on this visit. French hotels food quality and amount has sadly reduced while prices have increased vastly.
Wine prices are just robbery. That is a general complaint of French restaurants..

Problems with Evening Meal

On arrival we requested an evening meal in the hotels restaurant. We were told this was not possible as we had not informed the hotel prior to 2pm on our arrival date, that an evening meal would be required. We had to drive 10km to the nearest town to eat. If we had known of this condition, we would have made dinner reservations, but we were not told.
Otherwise it was clean and pleasant enough.

A quiet hotel set in beautiful countryside.

A good quality hotel with a rustic style. The room was a little on the small side (particularly the bathroom) but clean and well equipped. The air conditioning was very good (very welcome in the heatwave that France was experiencing at the time).
The evening meal in the hotel's restaurant was excellent and the staff were very helpful.

Pleasant but overpriced hotel

Lovely setting. Interesting environs.

Room was very cramped. To be expected in a city centre hotel, not in a country side \"relaxing\" hotel.
Doors to bathroom & toilet were cheap louvre cupboard style, no better than curtains hung up at the entrance.

Created poor impression for a self styled \"boutique\" hotel which in other aspects was fine. Not what I expected for the price!

Wonderful place to relax after long drive

Found this place on line and thought it a perfect place to stay whilst travelling from north to south of France, and was not disappointed, lovely comfortable room, with lovely view over swimming pool and fields beyond

Very nice quiet hotelfor overnight stay.

Very clean and quiet hotel , we had dinner and although the choice was limited the food was very good.
The Pigeoneir makes an excellent stopping off point if you are travelling through France.

We were allocated the disabled room although neither of us are disabled. WC too close to shower curtain, although the drencher shower was excellent.
Room very small and no wardrobe to hang clothes etc (4x hangars on a sm rail)
Hotel seems to be geared for overnight stays only i.e. travellers on their way to/from the south of France.
Limited food menu although food quality was excellent. Breakfast was average.

A lovely country retreat

This hotel is almost perfect. The lovely old but beautifully renovated buildings are set in stunning countryside. The grounds are thoughtfully equipped with strategically placed seating areas. Whole days could be spent happily without leaving the hotel premises.
The only negative is that the restaurant is disappointing. The meals are overpriced, unimaginative and the portions too small. I would definitely stay there again though because the overall experience was very good.

The hotel is situated in lovely countryside. It is an old building but modernised.
Had to wait along time to get into our room. The staff were pleasant.
We ate dinner there. The menu had only limited choices,( it was a small hotel). We were only the second couple into the restaurant, but one of the starter choices was already \"fini\". There were only three choices and we didn't want either of the other two.
The meal was okay but not brilliant.

Good location for travellers and excellent service

Our one night stay was very good and the menu, though limited, was well cooked and presented. Our room was small but comfortable. The only problem we had was with the 'wet room' type shower which, even with the curtains closed, flooded the bathroom. The solution appears to be to use the shower at half intensity rather than on full. A good location for those heading up or down France and would make a good base for exploring the area.

Charming rural hotel

This hotel is situated in a quiet rural area. It has character and is both clean and comfortable. The dining at the hotel restaurant is very good indeed, we had dinner and breakfast on our stay.

Beautiful location and good hotel for the price. Convenient overnight stop if heading south from the Brittany ports but not easy to find without satnav.
Owner very nice and welcoming, food adequate rather than stunning.

Paradise Found!

What a hotel! Sitting in glorious peaceful surroundings our only regret was that we didn't book extra nights rather than the flying stopover between Spain and Calais.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them, and the 3 course meal was excellent.
The rooms were air-conditioned, which was welcome in 37 degC heat! The beds were comfortable, my daughters bed was in a separate room, though the toilet was a little lacking in privacy as it was separated from the main bedroom only by 2 small swing doors.

Le petit-déjeuner était composé des produits frais et régionaux. Malheureusement, il n’y avait pas de lait nature végétal comme le lait d’amande ou de coco.
L’hôtel est au calme, c’était reposant.
Par contre, il n’y avait pas d’internet dans notre chambre. La connexion était trop faible.

As always fantastic, this was the sixth year we stayed here and that’s for a reason. We love this old great place with its great environment etc. If you travel with a dog its also fantastic for the dog, ours just loves it. Emelie makes it better every year!!

L'hôtel était bon. Vraiment nous n'aimons pas commander le repas pour le soir sur l'enregistrement à l'avance du soir. Le repas était très joliment présenté mais évidemment pré-préparé et quand-même nous l'avons bien mangé, nous aurions préferé le poisson fraîchement cuit avec une pâte croustillante.

Petite halte au retour de vacances dans ce havre de paix. Dîner en terrasse au un soleil couchant devant une assiette préparée avec goût et passion ! Le cadre est fantastique et l’accueil impeccable. On se sent comme chez des amis. Bravo.

Hébergement de qualité, calme, spacieux et confortable. En revanche, l'accueil au restaurant est déplorable. Après avoir été invité à s'installer à une table pour diner, sans vérifier notre numéro de chambre, il nous a été apporté des plats que nous n'avions pas commandé. C'est alors que le serveur a compris que nous n'étions pas les personnes attendues et nous a demandé de quitter immédiatement le restaurant, sans nous apporter ni conseil ou information sur les possibilités de restauration dans les alentours, un 15 août à 20h30. Nous avons voulu en échanger calmement, avec l'accueil de l'hôtel le lendemain matin, qui nous a expliqué que nous aurions dû savoir que le restaurant ne servait que sur réservation effectuée avant 13h. Nous n'avions évidemment reçu aucune information en ce sens, à notre arrivée, dans la chambre, ou par mail. L'établissement n'a pas été à l'écoute et n' a pas cherché à trouver une solution. Cela a gâché un séjour qui pourtant, s'annonçait agréable.

Perdu dans la campagnes dans une ferme médiévale. Le calme et la sérénité pour un parenthèse à deux. Un excellent service avec le sourire. Du personnel aux petits soins. Une prestation de la table délicieuse. Loin de la foule. Avec une piscine que seul le temps pluvieux vous fera éviter. Je conseille fortement aux couple de venir faire leur parenthèse à deux au pigeonnier du Perron.

Joli lieu et calme.

Je travail la nuit du coup nous dormons de journée ,et il est difficile de trouver un endroit dans lequel il est possible de dormir au calme en journée. C'était parfait. Et les hôtes sont très sympas.
