Cheap attic room.
Unfortunately TV in neighbouring room boomed all night .
We phoned the assistance number and the parson who answered said she would sort it out (she was off site).
Nothing was done all night .
We and other guests tried to get someone in room to respond by banging loudly at 4am. We assumed either dead or heavily intoxicated .
We asked staff in morning and they said no one was in that room and cleaner must have left TV on.
All pretty crap, no sleep and no apology .

Sad that a hotel on main street in Aberfeldy is failing.

At check-in the staff were disinterested and while the room was basically clean it was cramped, shabby and the shower was in a poor state. The door came off it's runner, the drain cover was loose and the area around the drain was stained. The water from the sink hot tap was scaldingly hot and there was no warning of this. The room was too hot but it was extremely noisy outside and so we couldn't open the windows. The noise outside went on until well after midnight. After an active day outdoors I got very little sleep so cannot recommend staying here. Our room was nothing like the pictures on the website.

Room was okay, bed wasn't great, seemed really bouncy, any movement seemed to feel like we were in a water bed. Only one member of staff who seemed to be doing everything, cleaning rooms, dealing with residents etc. Single handed. She was pleasant and helpful but the hotel feels unprofessionally run, don't think we'd return.

The property was as it says in the description, a budget hotel. The room was clean and tidy enough and the lady who checked us in was lovely. Thats the only good points. An error was made at booking due to a fault in expedia and the hotel agreed at the time to refund the extra room booked. No refund then allowed funny enough and no further contact from hotel regarding it. The shower was awful, no pressure at all. I felt slightly unsafe with local youths hanging around the doorway at night and some were coming and going throughout the hotel visiting guests/staff members so the doors of the hotel were banging all night. All in all the idea of the hotel was good but i would not stay again

More like a hostel, plain and functional with friendly staff operating between 4 and 7 pm. The front door cannot be used outside those times so access is from the rear carpark up concrete steps with narrow tread and steep risers, using a keypad with a handle too stiff to operate. I went down those steps later and because they were steep supported myself by using my stick and holding onto the railings of the bannister. As I stepped down the bannister rail came away in my hand and I fell badly bruising my left hip and ribs and hitting the back of my head hard against a concrete post , all witnessed by staff from the hotel who were going off duty. They helped with kind concern and offered support and help and medical advice which I decided against preferring to wait til morning to see how I coped as I did not want to spend time in A&E leaving my dog alone in a strange place. I managed to load my car the next day with help from fellow guests as no staff were available though there was an emergency telephone number to call. I managed the 5 hour drive to my next destination. My ribs are still painful and stopping me from fulfilling the purpose of my journey. The hotel provides practical and basic service which does work, clean comfortable bed, but there are a number of safety measures that need attention and the access door to the rear of the hotel was difficult for more guests than me and we had to prop it open to ensure we could re-enter. Lovely walks though, very nice staff.

This is an old hotel so we didn't expect a lift but we didn't expect 7 steep steps up a narrow stairway to the ensuite bathroom which had a bath and a shower head but no way of fixing it at height to enable a shower. The reception was staffed by 3 young schoolgirls. The room had no sound proofing but was clean. The parking was good and the cost of the room was cheap.

Nice rooms, comfy beds. Very convenient location in the centre of Aberfeldy, with parking. Friendly, helpful staff. Would definitely use again. For information, check in closes at 7pm, so be aware of that if you’ve got a long journey.

We booked two budget rooms for our one night stay. The rooms were small but had everything we needed. The ensuite bathrooms were clean and newish. Showers had no pressure so neither of us attempted to was our (admittedly incredibly thick) hair. Check in and out were easy.
For a hotel with no smoking stickers everywhere, there was a continual smell of cigarette smoke. We arrived shortly before 6. By the time we checked in, feshened up, strolled round town to decide on which take out to use, then waited a lengthy time for food to be prepared, we had only 10 mins to eat before the lounge closed. We were unable to finish our meals. Also, throughout the night until around 3am, there was a tremendous amount of noise from the streets - shouting, fighting, arguing. Possibly normal Saturday night revelry but it meant we got very little sleep.

Staff at reception couldn't be more helpful and has a pleasent manner. Room was spotless and cozy, fresh towels and hot water when needed. Bed was so comfy and really clean. I have booked for 2 days in 2 weeks. And price I could not get anywhere in Aberfeldy. William Thomson.

Looks like its changed hands recently as there are lots of OYO branded goods in the room. Room had been recently painted but thats all. Bed was a small old lumpy double.
Plenty room for a king-size, bathroom was cheap and nasty and shower was hand held in the bath. Needs a lot of structural work done if its to survive. Perfect location in main square although much nicer hotels are not too far to walk to.

Property was clean, and quiet. But - room very cold - no heating had been on. (Outside temperature -4)
Three flights of steep stairs. Chair in room with breaking leg - dangerous. Bathroom clean but tiny. Too cold to use bath or shower. Toilet roll holder incredibly inconvenient. Bed okay. Very few power points.

Very run down and dated . Cheap coffee and cheap toiletries . Uncomfortable mattress , window wouldn't stay open . Not sure why this is classed as a hotel as it's most like a hostel . Place to put your head but don’t expect sleep. Kept awake by the snoring from above us. Next door would’ve been as well being in the room with us as the walls are so thin.
We had a bath with shower attached to taps so couldn’t even stand up. No shower curtain or anything

The Bredalbane Arms, is definitely one of the poorest hotels I have stayed in. The level of service was poor especially on arrival where the receptionist couldn't even be bothered to get out of her chair in the office to check us in. It was sloppy and unprofessional. Our room was adequate. The hotel was able to provide an iron but no ironing board. If you are going to operate as a hotel then you also need to provide catering. We did find a lovely restaurant called The Three Lemons which was value for money and had the pizza ever

The old hotel is now a room-only hotel with no facilities, and the cost reflects that. My wee room was in the attic, up a lot of stairs (no lift) under the eaves, recently redecorated and scrupulously clean. It had a comfy bed, enough storage for me, and the cozy bathroom had a bathtub, and limitless hot water.

Our only problem was the drunken piss heads knocking on doors at 01.30 am. It was like the town had a piss head convention. So we didn’t get a good nights sleep.

When we arrived the guy on reception didn't hear us as he was too busy on his phone with music, then didn't smile or show any interest. The double room was tiny with hardly any room and the bathroom was up some narrow stairs The bathroom floor wasn't flat, and the shower cubicle was really small with barely any pressure. We had to ask for a hairdryer as there wasn't one in the room and the only mirror was in the bathroom so it was impossible to style my hair while drying it. The window in the bedroom would not close properly either so it was really cold in the morning. For £73 for room only we expected more to be honest.

Excellent room, very clean, very comfy and very friendly staff. TV in the room was a decent size, not too big or small. Twin room. nice view too with it being up top. kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, sucrose, milk all supplied. two decent sized mugs too, not those piddly cups. It was exactly what we needed for our trip, just a comfy place to chill on an evening and sleep in cleanliness and comfort. Room was warm enough with opening windows if we were too warm, there was a good size heater on the wall opposite the window if we had needed it. Nice size bathroom with toilet sink and shower and an extra sink in the room itself and toiletries provided.

Reception was helpful. Our room was an odd shape, but it had everything that you would expect for a stay. It's an old building with sloping ceilings and floors. They have done the best that they can. The place has character and not every room is identical which is nice.

The Room was basic but comfortable which isn't a bad thing.The Double room had plenty of room for a couple with a large dog and the bed was very comfortable.
The staff were friendly and would come round in the morning and offer extra tea/coffee etc.

Although the food doesn't sell any food you are allowed it in the rooms and there are several stores/cafes/take-aways etc. Close at hand( mind some are closed Monday and Tuesday evenings).The Coop in the village is open until 11pm.

The hotel is quite run down unfortunately. The location of great and there is plenty of parking. It was quite noisy -the walls are thin and so every time someone came to their room you could hear everything from the corridor outside and also you could hear everyone in the street outside.
The service was good and the room was small but satisfactory

It had obviously just been renovated which was great, the room was warm for us going in and was clean and tidy the only downside was there was no mirror in the bedroom which is really hard for doing your hair etc as there was only one mirror in the bathroom but no plug socket but this is a really easy fix.

Basic hotel. Clean, friendly staff. Great value for money for a bed only stay. Continental breakfast can be booked in the hotel or you can buy various cooked breakfast at a local bakery about three minute walk away. Take note, if you visit during the winter months a lot of the restaurants tend to stop serving food at 8pm.

Was a bit apprehensive after reading some bad reviews so we were pleasantly surprised when we got to our room. It was spotlessly clean and you could tell it had been recently refurbished. There was a good choice for breakfast in the morning and it tasted good too. There were only 2 small downsides; we were at the front of the hotel and because the windows were single glazed you could hear the noise from the pub opposite and the other is the shower pressure was not the best but I believe they are getting this looked into. I would definitely stay here again if I could get a room at the back.
Oh and I would recommend the Fountain pub over the road for decent, cheap pub grub.

Don't recommend staying here if you want a good nights sleep. Band played all night right outside our window. Even if the window hadn't been broken I am sure it would have come on through. Looks like they have done a lot of work with a new paint job and fixtures, but it is all put together bad. The toilet is loose to the floor, shower handles are on, but leak and there is a big hole....it is a very tiny loo. Staff barely looked at us on check in, except to grunt breakfast was not included and 10 quid and needs to be pre-ordered, cafe across the way ahs a full english for 6. Soap in shower was empty, TV is useless as the angle it is at you cannot watch. 'Poor service, poor premise.

the property is very tired and could do with a refurbishment from the reception to the rooms. Being so close to the town and the road the noise is a big problem. Lack of sleep due to the comfort the bed and the noise from the other rooms. I would not recomend this hotel to my friends or family. A disappointing 5 nights and we will not stay at this hotel until improvements are made very sad as we are regular visitors to the area. The staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful. Please please please get the spelling correct on the signs around the property.
