Room needs updated. Decor tired. Curtains need to be tucked behind radiator or will block heat. No working sockets near bed as round pins instead of square. Only 1 bedside lamp.

Good hotel is a little dated in places but it is an old building so you can’t expect tout to be to modern, floor boards are very noisy and the window are not double glazed so can here outside noise. The breakfast was fabulous and the staff go above and beyond to help.

Hotel is a bit tired and needs some maintenance and investment, jacuzzi out of order, lifts out of order no on or restaurant in the hotel. Rooms were clean and cozy pool was decent but a bit small steam room was ok aswell. Breakfast was really good and the area is lovely went to a couple local bars which were nice and Main Street had a good selection of shops

The room was tired and in need of a refurb. The bathroom was very nice and seem to have been renewed recently but the towel rail wasn't working, a real disadvantage in November, and the small shower head slid down the holder and wouldn't grip, having to use it hand held.
The room carpet has mutiple stains, some of which look to have been there for some time. The bedside tables both had deep scapes on them.
The standard single beds felt quite small compared to other hotels I've stayed in recently.
There were no towels when we arrived in the room at 3.45 so I went and tracked down a cleaner I'd spotted enroute . He said he put them in later but I asked for a towel then so we could dry out hands! No hairdryer could be found either and the highland liquid soap was love3l but reluctant to leave the bottle.
I spoke to someone in reception who said she speak to housekeeping and a full set of towels was sent up and a hairdryer althought I later found one at the back of the cupboard shelf way above my head when I went to put the new one there.
On checking out i spoke to same staff member who reiterated that refurbishment wasn't up to them and went into great detail of how the carpet would be cleaned in November . At no point did I hear an apology that I was disappointed in the room, I had shown her fhe photos I took, which she agreed clearly showed the issues mentioned. I paid £189 for this twin room,definately not worth the money. I won't be back.

Very limited spaces and no disabled parking which is very disappointing which means I will not use the hotel again as I had to park quite a distance away which was not appropriate

Pool is was good but changing rooms quite dated (communal male and female changing rooms, no separate cubicles, no privacy)

Door to en-suite had a full length frosted glass window. Poor design, both because it lit up the room during the night, and because the toilet was directly in line with the head of the bed.

We arrived to be told that they did not do dinner although the email I received had the dinner times! Not a great start with a toddler in tow! Then when we went to our room it was freezing again not suitable with a toddler. I found an oil filled heater in wardrobe and plugged this in (keeping my toddler on the bed) reception explained the heating was on a timer! It never came on so again I had to go to reception thank goodness we left the oil filled heater on while going for dinner. All I got was a sorry, really not enough. Our room was dated and in need of repair, taps falling to bits, stains on carpets etc. had we not been going to the enchanted forest and hotels booked we would not have stayed.The spa treatment was amazing and this I would highly recommend but would not stay here again!

Had a great 2 days here with family, rooms were close by. We got a complimentary upgrade to a king room which was much appreciated as had an infant with us. Communication regarding the cot was a bit off, told us they didn’t provide the mattress part but when we arrived they had, so we had taken extra stuff with us that we didn’t need. Breakfast was plentiful but bacon and eggs not the warmest. Water pressure in room wasn’t the best either and didn’t feel hot but that was probably as showering in the morning along with rest of hotel guests.
Pool was great and enjoyed the hot tub and steam room. Close by all the shops and we could walk everywhere we wanted to. Def be back to stay.

I had to eat Greggs on my birthday because the hotel had no restaurant. Maybe it was my fault but went back to check but there was no mention of it so I assumed they will have and had no other way since it was my first time in the town. It was not a very good experience for me

you cannot help but notice the whole building inside and out is very tired. The staff we met were all very pleasant. unfortunatly the leisure facilities were not available at all during our stay due to high chlorine levels. Apoligies were made but that was the soul reason for booking this hotel.
The pool area looked lovely but the rest was tired from the clashing carpets and wallpaper to the mismatch of chairs and furniture.
our room looked surface clean but the carpet had not been hoovered and skirting boards were full of dust, unfortunatly i caught sight of behind the bed and i don’t think i could guess how long its been since that was cleaned. the overwhelming small of air freshener was also off putting when we did get in, the room was decorated pleasantly but that is about as positive as i can be.
i felt breakfast had a good choice and everything tasted fine but it did feel very confined and the staff standing at the back wall watching was very off putting.

I booked this hotel because it had a swimming pool for my grandkids.

The mattress cover was in absolutely filthy disgusting state had staff take away, fan in room covered in dust, bits on floor all week not removed. On the app it stated that there was a restaurant for evening meals, not true needed to go elsewhere. Stated there was electric vehicle charging points they were fitted to wall but not connected up, eventually informed could use Fishers hotel points if they were available

Avoid, overpriced and poor quality

Dreadful. When I was staying at this hotel I saw an advert for it on TV. The advert was nothing like my experience.

I stayed here for one night at the end of the Rob Roy Way. I was looking for a bit of luxury to celebrate my achievement. It started well with reception, which is modern and colourful.

However, my single room was dreadful. I will start with what was good, the bed was comfortable and was a bit bigger than a regular single.

The rest was not good. There was no room for a bedside cabinet next to the bed. The TV didn't work (although that was mended). The room was chilly but when the heating came on the shower rail was almost too hot to touch. The desk was chipped and water stained. There was no where to put a suitcase so I had to move everything off the desk to put it on there. The view from the window was of the breakfast room below and I watched the staff smoking and vaping in the back courtyard area throughout breakfast service.

The hotel does have a pool, but it needs cleaning. There was a lot of silt on the floor of the deep end.

This would have been a one star review but the staff were friendly.

The hotel was expensive and very poor quality.

Hotel is in a great location with lovely views and is a walkable distance to the theatre. It's a bit tired in places but undergoing renovation and wiĺl be beautiful once finished. Breakfast was amazing with a great choice. Staff all really friendly and helpful, allowing us to drop off bags prior to check-in. Overall a great stay.

The hotel was adequate but does require some upgrading as looks a little tired. Beds were comfortable and rooms fairly quiet.

I had intended to use the spa facilities however the pool and jacuzzi were directly visible from the bar with only a glass wall separating them so decided against it.

The reception and bar seemed to be combined and it seemed a lot of the public areas were not being utilised so may be they are working on revamping the place

Plenty choice available ar breakfast all self service but did feel a bit busy and cramped

Overall it met our needs and was quiet and comfortable in a good location just off the main street

Disappointing Scotlands hotel stay

Leftover rose petals in room, shower power and heat on same control, so cooler water less power, not ideal. Uneven flooring in corridor, not great for my disabled wife. Swimming pool needing cleaned as scum all way round the bottom of the pool.
Buffet breakfast mediocre, bacon cooked folded, leaving almost uncooked fat underneath, fried eggs drastically undercooked.
No food served during the day or evenings.
The whole hotel is jaded, dated and in need of some tlc.
Despite what we heard about the staff issues, (regarding the entitled social media influencers) the staff were lovely, the reception staff, barstaff, chamber maids and therapy girls, but a special mention to one gentleman in particular who was on breakfast duty, who made us laugh every morning with his quips and jokes.
For £200 per night i expected much more, but as we found out, most things in Pitlochry are drastically overpriced.

Beautiful hotel . Stayed for an overnight. Leisure facilities are lovely swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room and a gym but we didnt use it. We had the large family room and it was very spacious nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable but the room was roasting and no air conditioning or even a fan available. The hotel doesn't offer dinner but around the corner is pitlochry town centre and plenty of places to eat there. Breakfast was good tho. A lovely stay would come back.

Awful, don’t waste your money

On arrival staff were lovely at reception and room was ready prior to check in which was fab.

However, when we went into the room we were treated with the previous guests rubbish, which included medication packets and estimated around 10 months of dust on the fan which came flying towards me once I turned it on because the room had only two tiny windows to let air in.

The bed frame had a layer of dust which would have been there as long as the frame.

We addressed this with reception who were horrified and stated that they would speak to house keeping to rectify this. All they done was empty the bin and clean the fan. Everywhere was still dusty and there was what looked like a blood mark on the bathroom door.

Went to the “spa” facilities. The jacuzzi would only stay on for a short period of time and you would have to wait around 15 minutes before it would turn back on. Sauna was out of service and the pool for some unknown reason had what seemed like random patches of sand

Mattress protector had what appeared to be potential period stains to top of our disaster stay.

Didn’t attempt breakfast because after that standard we wouldn’t eat there.

Only thing positive is that the reception staff were lovely apart from that not worth the room rate being charged. Would have been cleaner in a hostel

Many rooms have been refurbished. Ours was okay, but needed work. The carpet was shabby with stains or burns - the curtain rod and part of the shower were held together with literal tape. The common areas were beautifully decorated and the pool was very nice. Beds were clean and very comfortable.

We have stayed in the Scotland Hotel a few times in the past, amongst other places in Pitlochry. We choose the Scotland because of its close proximity to town and all the amenities, now that my husband can no longer walk up hills.
The room we were allocated wasn’t what we requested, but Lori arranged a move the following day, for which we are very thankful. When in our room we love sitting looking at the views over Pitlochry, and that’s why we made the original request. It was a thought to move all our stuff on the second day but well worth it. The room, although a bit smaller than the first, was beautiful, with a tremendous view, no complaints at all. Bigger is not always better.
Staff at reception were all so helpful, as were those on breakfast duty. Plenty choice for breakfast. We don’t mind there being no other meals on offer, as plenty of places close by to choose from. God willing we will be back next year for our annual visit.

Very warm welcome when we arrived. Room was very spacious and very clean. Few table and chairs outside which luckily we were able to use due to the nice weather. At night we sat in a lounge at the front of the hotel which was nice and quiet. Central location for the Heartland Festival. Lots of choice for breakfast. Didn't have time to use the pool but it did look nice.

We asked for a room with a walk in shower but allocated a room with a bath. The room was tired and the furniture was chipped and dated. The toilet seat was loose. We closed the blind for privacy but it could not be reopened. We were not able to get an evening meal unless we attended a sister hotel. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was also good.

For what it cost I wasn't impressed. although the staff were ok, the breakfast was buffet style which was greasy and had hairs in it. we had booked for 4 days of this but ended up with just the 1 due to this. the spa part was such a pain because to book treatments you had to go online to do it which was annoying because we couldn't book what we wanted and you couldn't do it through the reception or call them. at the time of our visit the steam room was out of action the whole time, the rooms although clean and tidy you could get better rooms at a Premier Inn with a tv that worked properly.. Plus they couldn't do evening meal's

All the staff are amazing at Scotland Spa Hotel. From the warm welcome at check-in to the cheerful \"good afternoon\" each morning when my daughter and I arrived for breakfast at 9.30...lovely gentlemen made us laugh. All public areas are spotlessly clean. Freshly decorated too since our last visit in 2023. We were in room 216, twin beds, nice refurbished shower room. We didn't use the Spa facilities bug we did yse the pool. It was lovely. We will definitely stsy again.

The breakfast staff were exceptional very attentive.
The pool and jacuzzi were perfect, it was ideal especially after we had walked schiehallion.

Hreat welcome and room was clean and good dize , bit tired but old hotel. Spa was readon chose hotel and had no availability on treatments- perhaps an email when booked to advise us to book ahead to avoid disappointment
The steam room was plasticy ans sadly no sauna, would not return , still to try breakfast

Nice enough hotel but.....

Our room was nice, very comfy bed but carpet dirty, coffee splashed up the wall skirting board, shower was not great and not very hot. There was an odd humming sound every 10 minutes all day/night like a fan which was most annoying.
Breakfast was included and although it was very nice food could have been a little hotter. Reception staff were nice enough although we did mention in the booking it was my birthday and no mention of this, reception staff not really interested on our check out either, didn't ask if we enjoyed our stay, if everything was ok.

Perhaps I should have known but, I was rather disappointed that an evening meal was not available in the hotel. Although Fishers was recommended I found the prices over the top.

“Spa hotel” very misleading name.

I booked the Scotland Spa Hotel thinking that it would have a touch an elegance and modernness as stated within the title, what we arrived to was a very run down hotel. The outside does not look anything like the photos, very old run down decor, stained carpets and bedding, dirty spa changing rooms over ran with other people left dirty towels, muddy floors, discarded slippers. The pool has lots of broken tiles all around, 6 chair / beds to sit on. In the bedroom stained carpets, dirty floors, hairs in the shower, the shower took about 5 minutes to get hot water, the bed linen had black marks all over it, cushions had dubious white marks / stains on. Pillows also seen much better days. Creaky floor boards from the people above which kept you awake, single glazed windows, which doesn’t help when you are put looking out to a main road. The room was spacious however. When you’re paying £150+ you certainly want more for your money.
The breakfast was nice, lots of different choices, hot and cold selections. The reception staff were very friendly when we checked in and out. Over all disappointed, wouldn’t recommend or go back.

Scotland's Spa Hotel

Relaxing stay at the hotel, great base for exploring surrounding areas.

We were a family of 4 (kids 9 and 11) and stayed in a family room which was a good size, clean and comfortable.

The pool and spa are lovely and clean and breakfast was good too with continental and cooked options available. No dinner service whilst we were there but there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

We had a great stay. Jackie, pam and emily are an asset to the hotel. We had a pigeon manage to get into the breakfast room and the girls got it out with no problems at all. They dealt with the situation expertly.
