Hassle free check in completed with friendly helpful staff who told me everything I needed to know for my stay. The choice at breakfast was outstanding and the restaurant staff were welcoming and helpful. The food was hot and plenty of it. My room looked towards the town and was comfortable, clean and had everything I needed for my stay. I’ll definitely return for another stay.

We had a family room (double and twin beds). The room was clean with plenty of tea/coffee etc. A nice touch with a coffee machine and mix of pods. The breakfast was okay. The layout of the items was slightly crowded when the room was busy. We had to ask for a number of the hot food items to be replenished.

We arrived early and expected to leave our bags in a luggage room but our room was ready and we were given the key. We had booked a large family room and it was very nice and it was huge. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept very well. The breakfast room had changed since my last visit and it felt very cramped with not a lot of room between the tables and it was busy. Aside from that the breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice to suit everyone's preferences. We were only there for 1 night so did not have time on this occasion to use the pool or any of the other facilities.

So, the good things first… great location, staff helpful. Fluffy towels and clean bed.
I know that it is an of building, but it was not clean ( bathroom especially!) and not well maintained. For the price we paid I was expecting much better and we were disappointed.

The hotel was really excellent. We had a huge room with lovely toiletries and a great selection of tea, hot chocolate and coffees as well as delicious biscuits.
The swimming pool was really good and we made good use of it. We didn’t use any of the Spa facilities or the Steam Room or gym but they looked great too.
Breakfast was amazing with so much choice and welcoming and helpful staff.
We had our dinner on both nights at Fisher’s Hotel and the food and service there was really good too.

Overall clean, comfortable and great location. Wasn’t advised before arrival that evening meals are no longer served however you can dine at the sister hotel with a 10% discount. Also after standing in a queue at reception (for a drink from the bar) for around 10mins getting to the front and told by the receptionist that she couldn’t serve me, she was the only one working and had to see to those checking in first and asked me to come back later!!!!!!

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The hotel facilities were well below the standard we expected. The bedroom window would not open, making the room feel stuffy and uncomfortable.

The changing facilities were particularly poor. There was blood on one of the benches, mould covering the shower curtains, and several lockers were missing doors entirely, making them unusable. The jacuzzi was also very grimy and clearly not being maintained to an acceptable standard.

Throughout the hotel, cleanliness and upkeep appeared to be lacking. There were flies on the corridor windowsills, and the general condition of the property was very dated and tired-looking. Overall, the hotel is in need of significant refurbishment and improved cleaning standards. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not recommend staying here.

A beautiful old country house that has been a hotel for many years. It is used by coaches so can be very busy. It needs some TLC. The carpet is worn in places and the paint is chipped.
I arrived too early for check in (1pm) so walked into the village.
I stayed 2 nights. I had dinner the first night and it was good value for the price. The staff in the dining room were attentive and professional.
It’s a 30 minute drive to Inverness but has lovely gardens and is very quiet.

Despite providing adapted rooms for mobility challenged guests, this hotel provided no handicapped parking, only offering parking at all on a first come, first served basis. Half of that parking was at the end of the property and gravel surface.

Overall the hotel needs a good clean and some maintenance in the pool area. The window sills in the main lobby/bar area have hundreds of dead fly's on them. Obviously not cleaned in a while. Some of the pool chairs are mouldy and the walls are all peeling. The changing room lockers are poor. The rooms were clean enough and the pool was nice and warm. The hotel has so much potential if a wee bit of money was spent on it. Location is great. Rooms are not quiet and you can hear people in other rooms talking. Can hear people walking in rooms above. Not the best night's sleep.

Room was spacious. Breakfast room staffer (older gentleman) was enthusiastic and helpful. On our second day he remembered us and came over as soon as we were seated to say he had already requested my husband's gluten free toast before we even asked. Lots of breakfast options, gluten free toast available on request and is made separately in the kitchen so there is no risk of cross contamination using the communal toaster. Had a great hot stone massage at the spa. Only downfall was limited parking. We arrived for check in around 9:30 pm and the lot was completely full except for 1 EV charger spot. The lady at the front desk directed us to a public pay-parking lot several blocks away (which we later discovered has signs saying no overnight parking). She asked us if there were any of the charger spots left and we said yes, there was 1, and she told us to park there. So we did get a parking spot on the grounds, then made sure we were back to the hotel early every evening after that so we could get a spot.

The name of the hotel makes it sound like a luxurious place, on first impression it’s a nice building from the outside and the reception area has been finished nicely. The reception area shares a window with the spa pool which was exciting to my wee boy.
We were a bit early so sat and waited to be checked in and it was nice sitting having a coffee. When we got up to our room I was a bit unimpressed with the decor on the floor, damaged wallpaper, scuffed/damaged skirting boards. Once we were in the room it was mixed feelings. The beds were big and comfortable and clean but the carpet was ripped and there was a dried pea sitting on the floor (random!).
The bathroom was where the room was really let down, the toilet seat repeatedly shifted when using it and the shower flow was so poor that I ended up using a cup at the sink to wash the shampoo out of my hair. In the morning the bathroom was very cold with no way to heat it up for children having a bath.
The staff were all lovely, can’t fault them one bit. The pool was fine, a good few tiles missing around the edges and steps but the water was lovely and warm. The changing rooms were a bit dated with some lockers without doors and a bit of a dirty odour to them.
Breakfast was nice, a bit of a crush with the amount of people but again staff were on top of keeping an eye on food getting low etc and the food was hot and plentiful.
All in all a bit of a mixed bag, not a luxurious stay but a fine, basic base.

Clean tidy rooms in the town centre , has aspa and bar , very good breakfast with good choice ,helpful staff, no evening meals served .
Large airy room with shower ensuite.
Would book again.
One gripe was the room has no coat hooks or shelves only small cupboard with a few hangers so most items like coats etc laid on the floor , also no place to hang your towels after your shower, minor thing but important if you have wet coats etc.

Breakfast buffet was a good selection, only problem was the warmest thing was the plates, alll 'hot' food was cold or luke warm at best, cold fried eggs are not great, food quality was good but just cant seem to keep it warm, i suggested a microwave in the area to heat up the Breakfast as ive found in numerous hotels
elsewhere, said we'll look into it, i cant possibly be the only person that's complained !!. So a single room was obviously small but tidy, clean and warm only problem was my window faced a brick wall and was covered in pigeon faeces all over outside and was all over window sill and brickwork all around and opposite my window, pigeons nesting all around and constantly chirping all nights, i couldn't open window for any fresh air because of the obvious pigeon droppings which are dangerous to human health if you have any respiratory problems, suggest this is an immediate clean up as it was very off putting, staff seemed aware of this but the pigeon mess still exists. I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN PHOTOS !!!

The Scotlands Spa Hotel was perfect for our one night stay in Pitlochry. It's just a block off the Main Street and all the shops and within walking distance of several restaurants. The breakfast in the morning was extravagant and included everything for a full Scottish breakfast, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, and several other options. The beds were extremely comfortable. We had 4 adults in a family room, which was a little cramped, but we got along fine. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to use the pool, jacuzzi, or spa. It was a little pricier than what I usually choose but it was well worth it.

My husband and I stayed here during our two week trip through Scotland from the United States. The hotel itself is in an excellent location, as you can walk to the downtown and all the shopping and restaurants very easily. We appreciated having the bar and breakfast right within the location itself. Excellent breakfast choices! The only downside that we found, was that the room was incredibly hot since the outdoor temperatures were in the 60s all week. We also found that there was a little bit of rust in the water when we first turned the faucet on. That cleared up after I use it. Overall, this is a very, very nice place to stay!

Breakfast was good value but in general the hotel needs an update. it is quite outdated but I guess this may be reflected in the price. The location is really good., Very central so able to go out to eat and drink without moving the car. The rooms would benefit from some lace or net curtains, we couldn't have the curtains open a lot of the time as everyone can see in. The EV chargers are not ideal, we found that the spaces were full of non EV cars . Reception were very polite but were not able to ask cars to move so we could charge as they didn't have enough parking spaces. We did eventually manage it on the day we were leaving but it is a little frustrating that you cant book a slot to guarantee you have enough charge to travel home.

The hotel itself is looking a little tired in places, but the bedrooms have been tastefully redecorated and have everything you need - comfy bed, good bathroom with shower cubicle, hairdryer, coffee machine, kettle, large smart TV, free WiFi and even an ironing board and iron.
It wasn't an issue for me, but the lift to the third (attic) floor wasn't working, and it wouldn't have been fun to carry large, heavy suitcases up the narrow stairs.

Breakfast was great - a good selection of hot and cold options. The hotel was very busy so we were asked to book in for a time slot for breakfast to help manage the numbers. This worked well though.

I didn't use the pool, gym or spa facilities.

I don’t recommend this hotel at all. The building is run down and shabby. The changing rooms for the so called spa are dreadful. The male change is basically a walk in toilet with lockers.
The rolls in the morning were stale and staff passive aggressive as we were a few mins early.
We are really dissatisfied and disappointed here. The shower seals in our room were black with mould and disgusting. It has a steam room. No sauna. The gym only had cardio equipment, no weights at all. Overall it wasn’t a great place to be and not what it’s advertised to be

Im vegetarian and not a great lover of buffet breakfast...not enough variety and looked quite greasy! Apart from that, there was plenty of choice of 'Continental' type produce, so it was acceptable. Parking perfect. Staff friendly and very helpful...overall a lovely getaway place.

The steam room is nice. My check-in included choosing breakfast at 7:30am or 9:30am. I arrived on the moment for 9:30. Food in steam tray was either gone or had been there too long. I was made to feel I was the inconvenience. Dining rm thinks meal is between half 7 & half 9.
Desk needs to be accurate b/cI would have preferred an 8:30 arrival for some berries!

The room was tired and in need of a refurb. The bathroom was very nice and seem to have been renewed recently but the towel rail wasn't working, a real disadvantage in November, and the small shower head slid down the holder and wouldn't grip, having to use it hand held.
The room carpet has mutiple stains, some of which look to have been there for some time. The bedside tables both had deep scapes on them.
The standard single beds felt quite small compared to other hotels I've stayed in recently.
There were no towels when we arrived in the room at 3.45 so I went and tracked down a cleaner I'd spotted enroute . He said he put them in later but I asked for a towel then so we could dry out hands! No hairdryer could be found either and the highland liquid soap was love3l but reluctant to leave the bottle.
I spoke to someone in reception who said she speak to housekeeping and a full set of towels was sent up and a hairdryer althought I later found one at the back of the cupboard shelf way above my head when I went to put the new one there.
On checking out i spoke to same staff member who reiterated that refurbishment wasn't up to them and went into great detail of how the carpet would be cleaned in November . At no point did I hear an apology that I was disappointed in the room, I had shown her fhe photos I took, which she agreed clearly showed the issues mentioned. I paid £189 for this twin room,definately not worth the money. I won't be back.

Door to en-suite had a full length frosted glass window. Poor design, both because it lit up the room during the night, and because the toilet was directly in line with the head of the bed.

We arrived to be told that they did not do dinner although the email I received had the dinner times! Not a great start with a toddler in tow! Then when we went to our room it was freezing again not suitable with a toddler. I found an oil filled heater in wardrobe and plugged this in (keeping my toddler on the bed) reception explained the heating was on a timer! It never came on so again I had to go to reception thank goodness we left the oil filled heater on while going for dinner. All I got was a sorry, really not enough. Our room was dated and in need of repair, taps falling to bits, stains on carpets etc. had we not been going to the enchanted forest and hotels booked we would not have stayed.The spa treatment was amazing and this I would highly recommend but would not stay here again!

Had a great 2 days here with family, rooms were close by. We got a complimentary upgrade to a king room which was much appreciated as had an infant with us. Communication regarding the cot was a bit off, told us they didn’t provide the mattress part but when we arrived they had, so we had taken extra stuff with us that we didn’t need. Breakfast was plentiful but bacon and eggs not the warmest. Water pressure in room wasn’t the best either and didn’t feel hot but that was probably as showering in the morning along with rest of hotel guests.
Pool was great and enjoyed the hot tub and steam room. Close by all the shops and we could walk everywhere we wanted to. Def be back to stay.

you cannot help but notice the whole building inside and out is very tired. The staff we met were all very pleasant. unfortunatly the leisure facilities were not available at all during our stay due to high chlorine levels. Apoligies were made but that was the soul reason for booking this hotel.
The pool area looked lovely but the rest was tired from the clashing carpets and wallpaper to the mismatch of chairs and furniture.
our room looked surface clean but the carpet had not been hoovered and skirting boards were full of dust, unfortunatly i caught sight of behind the bed and i don’t think i could guess how long its been since that was cleaned. the overwhelming small of air freshener was also off putting when we did get in, the room was decorated pleasantly but that is about as positive as i can be.
i felt breakfast had a good choice and everything tasted fine but it did feel very confined and the staff standing at the back wall watching was very off putting.

On the app it stated that there was a restaurant for evening meals, not true needed to go elsewhere. Avoid, overpriced and poor quality

Dreadful. When I was staying at this hotel I saw an advert for it on TV. The advert was nothing like my experience.

I stayed here for one night at the end of the Rob Roy Way. I was looking for a bit of luxury to celebrate my achievement. It started well with reception, which is modern and colourful.

However, my single room was dreadful. I will start with what was good, the bed was comfortable and was a bit bigger than a regular single.

The rest was not good. There was no room for a bedside cabinet next to the bed. The TV didn't work (although that was mended). The room was chilly but when the heating came on the shower rail was almost too hot to touch. The desk was chipped and water stained. There was no where to put a suitcase so I had to move everything off the desk to put it on there. The view from the window was of the breakfast room below and I watched the staff smoking and vaping in the back courtyard area throughout breakfast service.

The hotel does have a pool, but it needs cleaning. There was a lot of silt on the floor of the deep end.

This would have been a one star review but the staff were friendly.

The hotel was expensive and very poor quality.

Hotel is in a great location with lovely views and is a walkable distance to the theatre. It's a bit tired in places but undergoing renovation and wiĺl be beautiful once finished. Breakfast was amazing with a great choice. Staff all really friendly and helpful, allowing us to drop off bags prior to check-in. Overall a great stay.

The hotel was adequate but does require some upgrading as looks a little tired. Beds were comfortable and rooms fairly quiet.

I had intended to use the spa facilities however the pool and jacuzzi were directly visible from the bar with only a glass wall separating them so decided against it.

The reception and bar seemed to be combined and it seemed a lot of the public areas were not being utilised so may be they are working on revamping the place

Plenty choice available ar breakfast all self service but did feel a bit busy and cramped

Overall it met our needs and was quiet and comfortable in a good location just off the main street

The only negative was the shower and bath.
The shower took ages to get warm, and the bath was not draining away the water. I did mention it to reception incase there was a blockage

Disappointing Scotlands hotel stay

Leftover rose petals in room, shower power and heat on same control, so cooler water less power, not ideal. Uneven flooring in corridor, not great for my disabled wife. Swimming pool needing cleaned as scum all way round the bottom of the pool.
Buffet breakfast mediocre, bacon cooked folded, leaving almost uncooked fat underneath, fried eggs drastically undercooked.
No food served during the day or evenings.
The whole hotel is jaded, dated and in need of some tlc.
Despite what we heard about the staff issues, (regarding the entitled social media influencers) the staff were lovely, the reception staff, barstaff, chamber maids and therapy girls, but a special mention to one gentleman in particular who was on breakfast duty, who made us laugh every morning with his quips and jokes.
For £200 per night i expected much more, but as we found out, most things in Pitlochry are drastically overpriced.

Beautiful hotel . Stayed for an overnight. Leisure facilities are lovely swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room and a gym but we didnt use it. We had the large family room and it was very spacious nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable but the room was roasting and no air conditioning or even a fan available. The hotel doesn't offer dinner but around the corner is pitlochry town centre and plenty of places to eat there. Breakfast was good tho. A lovely stay would come back.

The hotel seems to be mid renovation but with little disruption to customers, Breakfast was a vast choice of of hot food & continental options, seems to have replaced all beds & bedding leaving it very clean & fresh, I hope I can get back later in the year when all renovations are completed
